The Seven Deadly Sins of Spa Week

Spa Week Launches Nationally October 17th-23rd, 2005

September 6, 2005 - When Spa Week first stormed onto the scene in October 2004, Manhattanites exposed their most sinful passions, indulging in $50 luxury spa treatments from 25 of the most prominent spas in New York. In April, C&R Media answered the cries of tri-state spa sinners and brought the event to New Jersey, Connecticut and Philadelphia. Now, exactly one year after Spa Week's inception, we're taking the event national with over 135 spas in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Philadelphia, Washington D.C., Chicago and Boston! Seven sins, seven cities, one week (October 17th-23rd), one website - www.spaweek.org - That's all you need to know.

Our seven deadly sins of Spa Week begin with lust, an infatuation with opulence satisfied by a bevy of locations offering decadent spa treatments at only $50 each! From massages to manicures and pedicures, there's something for everyone in every city.

For the gluttons, overindulgence is your game. Why stop at one treatment when you can indulge in two, three or four? For instance, double up with a Green Tea Pedicure Soak and Problem Skin Facial or try a Silver Star Facial and Eyebrow Shaping. What's better than two for the price of one, especially when one is only $50!

Greedy girls and guys can spa hop, grabbing a massage, facial, body scrub and wrap at one of Spa Week's newest additions like The Spa at Great Jones, Clarins Skin Spa and Athena Spa. Uber greedsters can check out Fresh, who's offering $50 worth of complimentary products for everyone indulging in a Spa Week treatment!

If your sin is sloth, laziness comes with the territory. Check out www.spaweek.org for locations that are offering hair services in addition to their stellar spa menus. This way, you can get glam from top to bottom all in one place.

Wrath is a sin that everyone is guilty of, whether it's from stubbing your toe on the subway platform or having to deal with your miserable boss. Relax, restore and rejuvenate with a number of melt away massages including deep tissue, hot stone, Swedish, prenatal, shiatsu and aromatherapy!

Envious of the girl in the next cubicle with the fresh, glowing skin? Visit www.spaweek.org and make your appointment to visit facial mavens at spas like Restore Spa and Exhale Spa. Soon you'll be the one everyone's jealous of!

With six out of seven sins solved, we're left with pride, the feeling you'll have knowing you're the insider that has the Spa Week info that all your friends want, need and simply have to have! But know this; if past Spa Week's have been any indication, book early and spread the word fast as spas tend to sell out in a flash!

Spa Week is sponsored by Saab, General Motors, EBay, Essence of Vali, Tazo and CEW. A portion of all Spa Week proceeds benefit Cancer and Careers, a non-profit organization for working women with cancer. For more information, visit www.spaweek.org or call (212) 362-3050.
