Bond No.9 Andy Warhol Union Square Spring is in the air with fragrance house Bond No. 9’s new scent, which pays homage to New York’s Union Square neighborhood and one its most famous former regulars. Launching March 15, Andy Warhol Union Square takes its inspiration from the pop artist-- “My favorite smell is the first smell of spring in New York,” he once said— and evokes the season with sweet notes of lily of the valley, blue freesia, golden amber and musk; crunchy green-stem notes help keep the whole thing cool, fresh and unisex. The perfume is housed in one of Bond No. 9’s signature star-shaped flacons, this time emblazoned with fuchsia, red and yellow flowers reminiscent of the paintings Warhol created at his Union Square-area Factory studio. In keeping with the green theme, Bond No. 9 boutiques and counters will accept all your empty perfume bottles—not matter what brand—and take care of the recycling. In exchange, you’ll take home a refillable pocket spray with any purchase. Bond No.9 fragrances are sold at four New York City boutiques, online at www.bondno9.com and at Saks Fifth Avenue stores nationwide. --Sandra Ramani |
