Latest and Greatest Spa Products
Developed in France in the 1920's by Dr. Nadia Payot—affectionately known as "The Godmother of French Skincare"—Payot has been a leader in creating results-oriented products that mix botanicals and other natural ingredients with of-the-moment technologies. In France, the line has long-been known for such iconic must-haves as Gommage Fondant, an effective gentle exfoliant that goes on as a gel but liquefies into an oil; and Hydrofluide, an intense hydrating serum made with unique ingredients like orange sap water to leave skin dewy and supple for hours. And now this fall, Payot has aded body products to their roster, launching several new items ranging from a deodorant containing soothing almond extract to a cellulite-busting cream loaded with circulation-boosting cocoa and caffeine.
The list of new Payot body products is long (and other items, like a refreshing leg gel, are still to come later in the year), but some standouts include Cassonade, a rich, sweet-smelling body scrub packed with essential oils and antioxidants. A mix of canola, jojoba, avocado, borage, macadamia and chamomile oils forms the base, while brown sugar acts as a gentle exfoliant and lemon and verbena essential oils help ward off bacteria. Once skin is exfoliated, hydrate it with Huile Precieuse Mineral, a lightweight dry oil containing trace mineral complexes, moisturizing jojoba, avocado and calendula oils, and silica to help strengthen the skin's elastin. Very dry winter skin will be nourished with the Créme Delice Mineral, a rich créme packed with trace minerals like sodium and magnesium, moisturizing oils and unique ingredients like rhodocrosite, which helps calm and soothe both the body and the mind.
