As many other reviews have stated. This business is a joke. This is a scam to bleed as much money from the clients as possible. Trying to schedule or cancel is a nightmare as the front desk associates have what seems like a monthly turnover and do not know how to use their scheduling system. The terms of service are deceitful, and they are nothing more than crooks here. Stay far far away.

They would not honor their own prices listed online. The lady said prices went up September 1st on the massages to 145.00 for 90min when it shows 119.00 on the website, they would not honor their mistake for not updating website (I’m writing this review November 5th) so not updating their website prices for over 2 months. What a shame to provide no customer service to point out their mistake and not keep a potential life long customer. It’s a scam for drawing new clients in on the online prices and then dropping the ball on them about prices increasing over 30.00 for their service.

Judith is the best massage therapist! While I have been to many spas and have been under the care of many massage therapists, there is truly no one like Judith. I leave my sessions with Judith feeling like a new woman, physically and emotionally! She has a heart of gold and is a wonderful person to talk to. I feel like I get free therapy sessions with her because she just always knows all the right things to say. She is so personable, despite just meeting my husband and I, she remembers things we tell her, personal struggles we face, and always checks in on us and how we’re doing. I really can’t say enough good things about her! If you are looking for the ultimate relaxation and ready to leave your massage session feeling like a new person, schedule with Judith! She is wonderful all around.

I really don't like months membership scenarios which is why this isn't rated higher. That said, I've always had a great massage experience. I like deep tissue since I workout all the time. They match me with the right person. But make sure to let them know what you want.

I can not stress enough the incredibly terrible service my husband and I have received at this location. We were monthly members at a different location (unfortunately the location closed) and we were treated so well. When we transferred, we expected the same level of service and we were met with frustration after every single massage visit. From not setting up our accounts properly, to changing the tipping system, to hassles with cancellations; instead of being accommodating the manager is extremely condescending and ignorant. When the studio sent a memo that prices were going to be raised, that was enough for us, between the price increase and the manager- we were ready to find a different massage studio. Usually, you expect to leave a massage feeling relaxed and energized...we left feeling angry and frustrated. The worst part is that the technicians are pretty good, but the service outweighs the massage.

I left without receiving my massage, the lady at the front desk was so rude. I was given a certificate from a member of management as an effort to recruit me to the company out of massage school. When I called I informed the lady of this not knowing what the procedure was for this I. Allled and was treated as if I was lying even though I brought the certificate in, if you have members on your team passing things out, you as a location / company should be aware. I left because I felt as if I wouldn't want service nor would I want to work for an establishment with employees that treated people that way especially if the goal is to relax and help heal Update... The owner Karin reached out to me the same day and was very apologetic for my experience, she scheduled me for the next day, but I was unable to make it, so I rescheduled for today. Karin who usually doesn't work on Friday was there to greet me along with her front desk receptionist Ruby who was very nice and greeted me with the biggest smile a complete difference from my first experience. David was my therapist and he was absolutely AMAZING!!!!! I just want to thank Karin and her team for pulling out the red carpet for me and changing my experience, I will be back for sure

Worst place ever. The staff and management are misleading from start to finish over charged me for a massage and when I seen he charge on my card they came back with some lame excuse as to why and never fixed it after saying they would, took hours to figure out a lie to tell before they even called back because supposedly the manager was too busy at a wedding to address the situation. Never again! Beware of this place. Update: The manager calls me today (I guess she wasn’t busy) only to argue with me. Condescending as ever to combat me. Ironically I believe her name was Karen. Definitely suits her How dare you lie and say I have a history of not wanting to pay. I have never refused to pay for a service rendered. You need to get facts right . I have Terminated membership at another elements location “ meaning formally cancelled via email” I also went to a western springs location and any card payment that you all had on file from membership prior would not work if you tried to run it without my knowledge because the card was lost and replaced! I have never in my life skipped out any payment and your comment is defamation of character! Called this woman back to speak about her lies she argued and hung up on me! Be aware how dare you lie on a customer and say I have not paid for a service the audacity of you. If I haven’t paid why don’t you call the police? Right! Because you’re full of lies. Your customer service is horrible and you are as well. You should not be the representative of any business if your calls are recorded you heard conversations. Instead of you taking time to coach or train your employee properly on procedures or payments you choose to argue with the customer

They double booked my appointment and threatened to contact the police when I questioned them. Edited to add: I asked the owner to call me. Instead she made up a story about my refusing to provide a credit card. I never got a call about a credit card, since I booked online. Last, I booked online and showed my confirmation email to the manager. She was perplexed as to how the double booking happened. She stated that she would contact the tech team. That doesn’t sound like the lie the owner described. I called to ask for the owner. The manager acted like I was at fault and hung up on me. I called back. I’m glad they record calls - they should review them to go over their lies. This is not how to run a business. Lying about customers, not acknowledging errors, scamming people is not worthy of a business in this community.

I’ve been going here for many years and for the most part have had really positive experiences. I’m normally not one to post angry reviews hence the two stars but I’m really upset after what happened today. I had a 2:30 appointment with my favorite massage therapist who stays booked up, usually because she’s awesome. I called twice thinking I had an emergency and had to reschedule. I understand that things happen and sometimes places can be busy, but I find it very unprofessional when a business doesn’t answer their phone. So I had was forced to leave a message. I leave a message explaining the emergency and asking if they could reschedule me. Then my emergency resolved itself and I was still able to make my appointment I called back less than five minutes later, leave another message telling them to disregard the first message. Then they finally have time to talk to me so I get a call back telling me that they already gave my appointment away and I can reschedule for a week at the earliest. However none of the times that they gave me are convenient for me and I can’t make them. I’ve already had a really stressful day and I really needed this massage and they just gave it away without talking to me first even after I sent a second message literally a few minutes later saying that I could make it. I’m really upset and I’m mad that they didn’t do anything to resolve this and I’ve been a paying customer for years.

I’ve had spinal fusion surgery on my neck and lumbar area. I also just learned I have HCC liver cancer, so it is difficult for me to get around. I cannot say anything bad about the massages, the ladies I have had the pleasure of their services, they are great. The problem I have is Elements charges my credit card every month the fee for a basic message. I called to cancel since I no longer desired their services, I was told, in order to stop charging my card, I would need to come in and fill out a form to end my contract. This was in April. It’s easy to forget to go in and fill out a separation form.

Very clean environment. Staff was friendly and the masseuse I had was remarkable. Deane was pleasant, asked questions on the areas of concern and took care of concentrating on the problemed areas. She provided information and suggestions about my care. I was very happy and very relaxed and although I know I need more therapeutic massages, I felt good when I left. I did sign up for the monthly program and look forward to my next sessions with Deana. One of the best Gift cards I received from my husband for Christmas!

I love my masseuse and the quality of services for the price is fabulous. But the receptionist/front desk folks are not the best. I often have to adjust my appointment (half hour earlier or an hour later, for example) because of improper scheduling.

James is awesome! I love deep tissue with a lot of pressure and he is fantastic at it! He also checks in through the the massage to make sure the pressure is good and not too much. They are also very nice at the desk. It’s a great value for the money.

Today i had prenatal massage with Paula, and it was awful. I never had this type of massage in my life in this spa. Paula didn't massage my back of the legs and sides. She also didn’t massaged both sides of the back, only one side. She seemed not like to do massage and her massage was in a very slow motions, so probably thats why she didnt massage both sides of the back and legs. Never go to Paula. The front desk was insisted me to leave gratuity for her because she “did her job” , i said i am not going to leave gratuity, the front desk said “ why ?this is how they earn their money. WhyWhat kind of the job was it ? I didnt enjoy at all, and why the front desk is being rude . What kind of spa it is ? What kind of the job she did ? She did nothing.

It was nice to get a prenatal massage with Stephanie. The place is clean and nice, very much entertaining with all paintings and decorations. The only problem I had is lock of communication, since my appt is 8pm and I need to be in 15 minutes early to sign documents, i still waited for 10 minutes to set up the room due to missed information,also online issues since I booked the prenatal massages online with the price of $75 and the price went up to $139 It did not specified the prenatal price online and on my 1st day I thought I will have the discount. Need to update the website and communication.

Massage therapists are great but the receptionist and manager I had to deal with with sub par. I asked to cancel my membership before covid was even an issue and somehow my HSA card was still being charged without my knowledge. It didn’t come out until I had an appointment one day and I was surprised that I had so many visits. I was told I could use my remaining balance accordingly, with Covid and my work schedule I haven’t been able to go as often as I wanted but I just booked an appointment and was told all my credits were expired and were only valid for 30 days. I was NEVER told there was an expiration on my remaining credits otherwise I would have used them immediately. I had somewhere around 6-8 hour long massages accrued and now they’re all gone. This would have never have happened had they correctly cancelled my membership in the first place and or allowed me to use my remaining balance up. Like I said the therapists and almost every receptionist is great but Anita the receptionist that I dealt with was very short and said there was nothing she could do and to call the manager Tasha who was in today but gone by the time I was able to call back.

Ever since getting a massage at this place my hands and arms have been going numb. I expect it to be nerve damage. I thought it may go away but it has not. I will be going to the doctor to see why I have not healed yet. BEWARE OF THIS PLACE. The massage was very rough and I am now kicking myself for not telling her to go softer on me because I thought she knew what she was doing. I unfortunately was wrong. I wouldn’t waste my money on this place if I were you. That therapist should not be practicing. I hope the others are better, but I wouldn’t waste my time finding out….

I was very happy with my prenatal massage with Renee. She was very friendly and did a great job. The overall environment was peaceful and clean. The reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 is lack of communication on the pricing. I’m nearing the end of my pregnancy, so I wanted to treat myself to a massage - which I never do! I called to make my appointment (specifically said prenatal massage and how many weeks pregnant I am) and they said it would be $69. I showed up and was told there’s a $20 up-charge because I am pregnant. I didn’t budget for the extra charge and was a little upset about the new price when I walked in. Other than that, I would recommend.

Edit: to respond to your comment, your manager was not transparent similar to your booking. I made the appointment though the manager claimed someone made it for me. I asked to verify the price 3 times. Every time I was told I qualified for the $69. Then after the service they charged me 109. I made the reservation by calling in not online. And I was a guest on previous occasions I never paid. So I did not know the policy. Rather than explain “professionally” your manager Tara was rude, and asked no questions just kept claiming “policy”. I hope all readers see the comment and also find a new place as you have suggested. Buyer beware. After I called and booked my session twice confirming the price, I went to my massage, which was great, only to come out and be told that since I had been to the location (years prior) I didn’t qualify for the introduction rate, they were charging me an additional $40. I have had the opportunity to read other reviews and this seems to be their business model, and when you don’t pay, they threaten to call the police (see older reviews). Not today. Out of principle I will be taking them to court. Please don’t waste your time and money. The therapist was great, there manager, who can only be reached via email is horrific.

This was my first experience at Elements. I chose Chris to be my massage therapist, his bio stated his focus was on chronic pain among other things. He was great and very professional. After the massage I was out of pain for a 10 days! For me that's amazing! I will be returning hopefully next week. If you choose Chris you won't be disappointed!

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by Rachel. She made me feel welcomed right away. The atmosphere was warm and friendly. Renee my massage therapist is just incredible. I'm a first time Mom-to-Be and felt completely safe in her hands and in her company. She too set the tone in the room with kindness and compassion. I will definitely be going back on a regular basis once baby gets here. Self care is very important even when entering into a new chapter in life.

It really pains me to write this review. I scheduled an appointment online for the same day. The receptionist called to confirm my appointment and all seemed well. I’m driving to the appointment that I was really looking forward to, since my dog had passed on Friday and I haven’t been able to really sleep, so I had booked a two hour massage. I then get a call from the receptionist 30 minutes before while I was driving on my way there and stated in order to keep my appointment she needed a credit card on file. I was in the car driving and I would have had to pull over and give her a credit card number. I asked if I could do it once I got there and and she said no the owner had already called told her to get my card information. I completely understand that having a card on file prevents people from no showing, however this was my first experience and how they handled things caused me to cancel my appointment. How quickly people forget about the guest experience.

I have had a membership for over a year and a half. Last night I had no choice but to cancel it due to the poor customer service and terrible treatment by manager Jessica. If this person is going to be gainfully employed by this company I can no longer frequent this location. I ALWAYS book my massages online, never had an issue with it until last night. I received a call from the receptionist 30 minutes before my massage asking me to change to a different therapist. I had scheduled with Renee they wanted me to change to Jim. I said no thank you I want my appointment with Renee. Ironically I have had Jim as a therapist before when he was a therapist at Massage Envy and a mistake by him caused me an injury. Not again -thanks. So the receptionist said no it’s ok we will keep you with Renee. As I am in the car 8 minutes away from the location I get a brash, crass and down right rude call from manager, Jessica. She proceeds to yell in my ear that I will be getting Jim because “online appointments don’t guarantee who you request” and that they don’t even see on their system who I requested even though I know damn well how it works because I have done it for almost two years that exact way. Wow what a way to relax and create an inviting environment - NOT. Shame on ownership for employing such a sorry excuse for a customer service manager. They lost a long time customer. And they are going to get bombed on social media with negative reviews. Think before you treat customers like dirt.... on a side note Renee the therapist is excellent. I used to use Cesar and he was the best but he is no longer there. Good for him to get out of a toxic environment.

We followed our massage therapist to this store and ended up signing up for a membership in February before corona hit. We were charged for membership fees in March and April when the store was supposed to be closed for quarantine and should NOT have been charging it’s costumers. In May and June we were advised to do a 2 month suspension instead of termination. We tried multiple times the passed two months calling the store to cancel the membership only to have to receptionists say each time the manager is unavailable and will get back to us once she’s in. That never happened. I had to take my Mother who had a shattered pelvis and requires assistance when outside personally to the store to explain our circumstances which were that both my mother and father are high risk for corona and that my father had 2 heart attacks recently so we’re maximizing our social distancing as much as possible and we’ve been trying to cancel our membership but no one has replied. When signing up originally we were told that you can cancel your membership anytime before your next fee (what made us want to sign up in the first place) but in store while terminating we were told it required 30 days advance notice which came out of no where. We were polite the entire time and requested a longer voucher for the 3 months my mother had missed but were told she only had 30 days to use them and that she would still get charged for the next month’s fee meaning she’d be charged making it 400$ total overall and have 4 visits that we CANNOT use due to safety concerns. Also the manager and receptionist did NOT have their masks on in the store until the moment we opened the door and the manager also didn’t think to check our temperature until we were done with the paperwork and close to walking out. While the receptionist was polite the manager was VERY rude and did not care whatsoever about our circumstances. We used to use MassageHeights and NEVER once had experienced this kind of horrible service and it looks like we will be switching back to them once the pandemic is over. We are extremely disappointed with our treatment and the lack of concern and care for safety of the site’s customers. For anyone going into the store please be wary that they are NOT safe!

I bought a one hour massage for my fiancée. She had a decent time. However the only thing that was frustrating for her was the fact that the first words that came out of the receptionist was if she did gratuity. As the face of this establishment, wouldn’t you have been more friendly? Ask if they enjoyed their massage. The place I work out would never be so blunt about tips. That kind of manner of worry to automatically tip is a big turn off that she does not want to come back. Work on your customer service skills. I did three stars because she said she had a good experience with the masseuse.

I was able to get in last minute and Amber at the front was very sweet and welcoming! Cesar was phenomenal! He made me feel very welcome and so relaxed for the first time in all the massages I got I fell asleep! I was happy with my message therapist but I made a huge mistake of becoming their member. If you happen to decide to have a temporary cancellation, first they charge you a full price for the next cycle, I wasn’t given a good reason why??? And then you have to make a trip all the way back there to cancel ur membership. First they should not charge you an extra session when you are cancelling your membership or putting it on hold, nor should you be forced to make a trip to cancel it. If you are planning to have their services, DO NOT BECOME A MEMBER!!

Nothing bad to say about the therapists here at all. Evelyn is amazing! However I think there is a lot to be said in terms of the booking online system and the front desk. I thought I had a set appointment for today and low and behold supposedly an email went out asking me to contact the clinic and I have no record of this email. So needless to say I don't have an appointment nor is this therapist available for at least another week. Typically someone calls if they need something or any information. I was sadly disappointed that that did not occur. Especially when I was in dire need of someone to work on my lower back today. I hope a manager or owner takes the time to read this and address. Mistakes can always occur, but it's the remediation that's keeps customers coming back. Thank you!

Myself and my 3 sisters had a girls day which included full body massages, which initially we had planned to go to a place in Naperville but when learning the Woodridge IL location was closer for us all we decided to check them out, but not before checking the reviews. It was pleasing to see that the majority of them was positive, so I contacted Elements Massage and spoke with Tasha and I must say from the very first time that I called to set it all up, the staff was very professional, helpful and accommodating with the booking process. So the day arrived for our massages, and we unanimously agreed that our experiences were TOTALLY AWESOME!! I had the pleasure of having Cindy for my masseuse, and I probably talked her ears off, because I have the gift to gab but she never made me feel like she was just there to provide a service, nor did she become distracted during the process and she was very engaging. I/We well definitely be visiting again. :-)

I couldn't show up to an appointment due to an emergency, they changed my card twice for 40 dollars, they can't cancel my membership and are stealing my money!!!! Stay away from this place with the rudest receptionist who talk loud and won't let you in a single word!!!! I want my money back

I was considering booking here for a message for me and a friend. After reading the reviews and then reading this companies responses I will not even call to inquire. I understand you can not please everyone all of the time, but the responses are short and accept NO RESPONSIBILITY for their customers feelings or their customers dissatisfaction. I work much too hard for my money to even take that risk. Companies should respond respectfully and make sure all customers walk out satisfied, this seems to be a challenge for this management. I will be taking my money and time elsewhere, thank you for the heads up everyone!

I updated my review due to the owner’s rude response. I booked a massage for my birthday. It was the first massage out of a package. Well, I arrived late. The therapist was fine with that. The end of the massage is where everything went terribly wrong. The package I ordered was not covered entirely and while checking out I was informed there was a $30 fee. As a repeat customer, the receptionist could have noted in my account I owe additional money, instead she threatened to call the police. In my haste, I left my debit card at home. I had to leave my Driver’s license there while I went to get the money. All of this in front of other people, over $30, as a repeat client at the end of a massage. Waste of money and time. Could have went to jail, or killed for what? Never ever going there again. I hope someone sues. 2 hours later the response from the owner: “Macaroni Noodle, we have absolutely no record that you have ever been to our studio. It appears that you have created a fictitious review. Contact us directly if there is a real issue that you need to discuss with us. We take great pride in our fine reputation in our great skill in massage therapy and our superior customer service.” Well, of course my real name isn’t macaroni noodle. It’s Melissa Boatman and I visited 11/2016. I was so traumatized it took over 2 years to write a review. But I see from other reviewers, the receptionist has been quite consistent.

The people here lied about me walking out without paying and then Charged my card $68 without authorization. I have a membership and I had called and paid over the phone before scheduling an appointment. They “lied” that I had left as if I didn’t want to pay although they had taken my card info upon scheduling and said that I’m all set for my appointment and my card would be charged $59. They “lied” that they were able to take care of my reaccuring payment and took down my card info. Now they want to deny ever doing so. They would not refund my money. Unbelievably bad customer service! Sticking to the Wheaton location. The manager at Wheaton had to go out of her way to talk to the people at woodridge to refund the amount they incorrectly charged me and they were rude to her as well and said they would not be cooperative in trying to find a solution to the confusion they themselves had created.

Very rude staff. The leena girl in the front had a very condescending attitude. Who ever owns this place needs to do something about the way she talks to paying customers and her coworkers. I booked a massage session there to relax and have peace and quiet not to hear her talking extremely loud in the lobby. This place is a joke... dont waste your time and money. Worst experience so far. First of all the service was so so and on top of it customer experience was too bad. I took the normal 60 minutes for $69, and clarified to Jessica while booking an appointment on phone and again at the counter that i don’t need $15 upgrade for aroma therapy. The other lady came and enquired about the oil to be used, I thought when i have clarified 2 times that I don’t need aroma therapy, so it must be a oil selection for normal and the lady also did not specified that its not regular but aroma, for which i could have said no 3rd time also. Next day i get a call from front desk rep. and she threatened me to go to police if i don’t pay $15. Seriously, I just came via Uber spent $50 (today and yesterday each) and made the remaining payment and got the receipt. I don’t recommend this spa to people looking for good experience at least.

I had an awful first experience with a therapist who is no longer there. The studio called me and made it right and set me up with Cyndi who has always been more than wonderful. I have never had an issue with any of the staff other than the first therapist. Always friendly. I have been coming here about 10 months now. I am part of their wellness program and I love it.

Dawn Ulreich · 17 hours ago I have been a member for several years. Most of the therapists are great but one hurt me so much I had to go to the doctor the next day! Just today a situation occurred that is causing me to cancel my membership. I had an appointment,checked in and waiting for my therapist to take me back to the room. A therapist who I had never seen before calls my name and says that my regular therapist was taken ill and she's taking over the appointment. Because of my bad experience I never let anyone I don't know massage me. Wisely, she retreated (the only professional in this story). I complained that while I understood emergencies I should have been called and offered options and at the very least told when I checked in that someone else would be doing my massage. They apologized but offered tons of excuses as to why they didn't call me. They even revealed things about what happened to my therapist that was none of anyone's business including mine! I went out for dinner and when I returned I had a phone message claiming they called me. WRONG! I had no messages from them save for the one telling me they had called me earlier. So on top of the unprofessional way they handled this - they called me a liar and tried to blame it on me! I'm done. I hope my therapist who was taken ill gets well quickly because she's a treasure and very talented.

Their technicians are very good at what they do. They've been able to tailor their skills to my needs, and I've come out of each experience feeling thoroughly relaxed and refreshed. HOWEVER, the administrative staff leaves a bit to be desired. I've encountered issues where they assure me that they'd bill me once per month, but instead of billing me at the appointed time, they bill me at the time of service "because it was close enough to the day of the scheduled bill" (5 days close). Taking little interest how that interacts with my finances to have a large account of money removed before I've scheduled for it. Or sending out a "birthday gift" offering a free 30 minute upgrade to any message service, but then retracting that offer after realizing my membership is for 90min massages and not even providing a reason as to why ("because it's always been that way" doesn't count as a reason). Or, after going a round or two with said staff over the above issue, and them finally promising to reduce the session charge for that time, only to realize that they've already billed you the full months fee....yeah a little bit to be desired.

I used to go for massages once or twice a year to treat myself when I experienced elements. I started going more often just because treated me so well. It was kind of like the three little bears some places for too rough some places were too soft elements did it just right. I've never had a bad experience and will continue to use elements, it's where I go and where I recommend and buy gift certificates from Michael

Each therapist offered a different technique to enhance my massage. Loved the heat, trigger point, and deep tissue. My body really enjoyed the comforting experience. Only drawback was scheduling when using Groupon since only certain therapists are used.

I have been having extreme lower back pain. I had received a SpaWeek gift card that I had never used so found them on line here. I tried them out and the girl that did my massage was just what I needed. She listened to my needs and concentrated in the area and within a day I was feeling better. I went back 2 weeks later and had a different person and she was just as good. I have now signed up to get a monthly massage and am extremely pleased with the quality and friendly staff. I would highly recommend them.
