The 60 minutes massage is actually a 50 minutes massage and the 90 minute massage is actually 75 minutes. Today I got really frustrated about it and cancelled my membership. I felt scammed. I see a massage therapist (Kelly) at Indigo Massage who is wonderful and she honors the time I pay for (price is the same I pay at Massage Lux as a member). It is inconvenient for me to drive to Indigo because it is a 20 minutes drive for me, so I decided to try Massage Lux. However, after a few massage sessions at Massage Lux, I realized that it is worth driving further to see Kelly at Indigo and get my 60 or 90 minutes of hands on massage for the same price.

The massages are advertised as 60 minute massages, when in reality they should be marketed as 50min massages. You're not paying for 60 minutes. On top of that, they're never actually hands on for 50 minutes, maybe 45 minutes. I get they need time to clean up between clients, but then don't tell me they do 50 minutes hands on. And half the massage therapists don't know what they're doing.

We went in for the 49 dollar fall special. And wound up spending over Double that. The person who made the appt didn't bother to tell me I needed to purchase that special on line. At the end of the massage( which was fabulous) I was charged almost 200.00 for both . I wasn't happy then, and I'm still not happy now. I tried calling , I wanted a manager. She was not in that day, was told she would call me back the following day. She didn't, She never did. The assistant manager did....4 days later. Ok, I hate to do this but... This was my first massage & I was super excited about it. However, I did not receive the full 60 mins, she stopped 10 mins prior to. I'm not sure if this is normal but the lady who did my massage, as sweet as she was, kept cracking her knuckles non stop, she was even using my body to further crack them. I literally felt her pushing against my body to crack her knuckles! I couldn't relax because of it & I started to think she needed the massage more than I did. Not only did her knuckles crack the WHOLE ENTIRE TIME, I could feel them rolling around. It was weird & disappointing. Truthfully I feel sorry for that lady, her hands must hurt..A LOT! Needless to say, the experience was bad! Sorry. Oh, but the facility is beautiful!!

Highly recommend a different location. Booked at this location for the first time. Had a facial and massage booked for today. A couple days after I booked the receptionist called and advised that the person who does facials will not be available today. So we canceled the facials no problem. However, the day of our scheduled massages one of the massages had been rescheduled without us knowing. Bad experience will not recommend.

Absolutely horrible experience. I had a gift certificate which I tried to give the front desk when I got there - they wouldn't take it until after the massage. Then I waited 20 minutes so I didn't get a full hour, and THEN they wouldn't accept the gift certificate because it was "too old." It was purchased in December 2018. The massage wasn't good either. I want my money back.

Staff at Brentwood location are rude and unprofessional. I've been going there for some time. 27 visits to be exact. I've put up with them due to the massage from Natasha, which was great! On my last visit, I had a gift card for a facial. I asked for a glycolic peel, which the gift card should have covered. Yet the facialist took it upon herself to do a "Biolight" Facial, which I didn't ask for. When I checked out, they asked for an additional $210 for the upgrade! They were so rude and refused to accept they made an error! And told I needed me to pay or else I couldn't return! I said I wouldn't be returning. Both my mother and partner are members there, as well and neither would they! They didn't seem to care! I called multiple times and no one returned my call to discuss the matter. They lost 3 customers! Obviously their very busy!

While the customer service was good, the massage was not. We scheduled a couples massage a few weeks prior. One hour before our appointment, we received a text saying paperwork was sent to our email. It was not, so we had to fill out the paperwork upon arrival. This caused us to not even get back into the room until 10 minutes after our session was supposed to start. Here’s the kicker. We ended up getting done BEFORE the hour mark even hit. They neglected to tell us, it’s only a 50 minute massage. That 10 minutes of the 60 minutes is allotted for the therapists to ask questions, sanitize & flip the room. And because of the paperwork fiasco prior to, that cut into our massage time so we ended up only getting a 40 minute massage. & it was just terrible - it was so rushed it wasn’t even enjoyable. **UPDATE - email of appointment notification was received … at 7:08pm. Our appointment was at 7:00pm. What. A. Joke.

This location in my opinion is the best one by far for a massage from this group of MassageLuXe companies. You can get facials and massages. In my experience this is busier than other locations and so booking about a week in advance is ideal. Masks are not required.

I made an appointment for full body deep tissue and was told by my masseuse that she doesn't do deep tissue 5 min in to my massage. She never massaged my legs at all. When I called to complain they said Bernice does do deep tissue which mad this worse. It wasn't about her ability to do it. She was on some lazy ish and didn't feel like doing it. Go to the one on Rock Hill, they're way better and consistent.

In May 2021, this location sold me a 'subscription". I could not use it for several months and had accumulated 8 hours. When I called to cancel, they said I can schedule the hours to use up. The lady who made the appointments said that I could use them until December 3rd. These appointments were booked several weeks ago. We had 2 hours left and today was the last two hours to use. When we showed up, the front desk lady told us that we do not have any hours left and the last day to use the credits was Dec 2nd. They are manipulating customers into signing up for the subscription and when it is time to use them and they deceive you and not give you what you paid for. Beware of these scammers. NEVER will use this location and never use massage luxe - bad company and bad people

Worst massage i’ve ever received! first of all it was not a 60 minutes massage they cut 20 minutes she enter de room at 12:20 and ended up the massage at 11:53, the girl basically didn’t use oil or anything, felt more like someone rubbing my back. The front desk person was really slow too and unhelpful. Never coming back again to this location.

I have a monthly membership and massages have been overall good, though the turnover rate is high so as soon as I get a therapist I really like it seems like they’re leaving. I got one facial there and wouldn’t get another. It’s supposed to be an hour (50 min) but only lasted 30min! $75 (including tip) for a half hour service is not something I’d indulge in again. I can get better facials that are truly an hour for the same price or less elsewhere.

I booked a reservation for my daughter and I for my birthday. I just wanted to spend some time with my daughter before she leaves for college. They called me at 9:30 pm the day before my appointment to tell me they had to cancel because of an issue with the massage therapist. I understood the issue, but they didn't offer any type of compensation. I was really looking forward to it, but I guess they think it's okay to do that to people.

Service was subpar, overpriced and I was coerced by misinformation into services that were not satisfying. Complaints as follows: 1) My Reflexology massage was not a full hour even though I was on time. It was about 40 minutes of actual massage time. (Appointment 8 am was taking back to the room after 810am- Massage was over at 8:54 am); so minus 5 minutes of privacy of undressing. An "hour" massage could not have been given. My facial (BIO-LIGHT) was nothing but a bunch of masks put on my face. I expected the cleansing process to be more in-depth with some kind of deep cleansing agent and at least a pore vacuum used truly unclog the pores. But the esthetician was nice and was gentle with my face. BUT THERE IS NOT A DIFFERENCE AT ALL. SKIN DOENST FEEL LOOK SMOOTHER OR BRIGHTER. 2) Misleading advertisement and over-quoted service When I called on April 9, 2021, I called at 12:29 pm CST, the receptionist was very polite and friendly but did not give me the correct pricing as I inquired about scheduling a SPA PACKAGE Renew $200 package with out tip. Apparently, this is a very specific type of service that requires membership and the purchase of a gift card. I was not made aware of this and proceed to ask question upon booking the service as to what options were cheaper (prices are not listed on the website which I looked at during the scheduling call and the WEBSITE DOES NOT STATE THIS EITHER); which was not really explained. I WAS NEVER TOLD THE INTRO RATES even though I had not ever been to MassageLuxe prior, and I did state this. I also inquired about signing up for a membership but I'm glad I wanted to see how my first experience went. 3) There was not a manager on duty at the location. With the assistance, I did receive I still didn't feel heard or valued because there was a lack of leadership presence. With this experience in its entirety, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND NOR SEE MYSELF EVER coming back, at this time. I had also booked a Swedish massage for my spouse for the 4/18 that I ALREADY PAID FOR (I will be canceling and requesting a refund).

I’ve been getting massages and facials for about 3 years at this location. Today, I got a massage and facial. Both therapists were very professional and welcoming. However, the esthetician was extremely gentle during the massage as if she was scared to touch my face. I also wasn’t informed that the therapist would be wearing gloves during my service. It definitely took away the from the full experience of relaxation. It also seems like no one is looking over the charts prior to a treatment. Why am I filling out information if no one is reviewing it? The massage therapist did not ask me what kind of massage I wanted either. She did her own thing.

I have actually been going to this MassageLuxe for many years. This past December, however, I went for my usual massage and after checking out I went home only to find when my credit card bill arrived that the checkout agent had added an unauthorized $45 charge to my account (on top of the $25 tip I had left - I really, really wish they would just print out receipts when you leave). I figured this was just a mistake so called the store, but instead I was told that I was a thief and that I was trying to get away with something. I was told they would "roll the cameras back" to prove it. By all means, roll them back! Your employee just committed credit card fraud!!! Beware of this MassageLuxe as, apparently, some of their check-out agents engage in credit card fraud that the managers then refuse to investigate!!!!

S Hanley rd building.... The therapist apparently was not listening nor reviewed my chart on what type of massage and pressure I wanted. She only did my back and neck...????when I asked her if she was going to do my legs, she stated she must have misunderstood me and she kept right on with the weak pressure on my back. She seemed unbothered and disconnected, like she was just going thru the motions. Sorry honey, I was a licensed massage therapist in the 1990s and usually get a massage at least once a month, so I know what a real massage consists of... I received a gift card as a present to massagelux, won't be going back....

This location is refusing service to first responders! As an ICU nurse I have been under strict PPE protocols helping your loved ones during this pandemic. Under their new protocols for their business, they are refusing to give service to anyone(despite wearing strict ppe or not) under strict contact with covid positive patients service. They say that’s what the CDC states, but the CDC stays you will be protected under PPE and state nothing about refusing service to first responders. Other massage luxe’s are giving service to first responders except this one. Please boycott this location! Thank you!

Massage Therapist did a nice job. The atmosphere was nice. Front end team members are professional. The only thing I did not like is that the actual hands on portion of the massage is not the full time selected. There is 5 or so minutes deducted from the beginning and the end to allow for the client to change and prepare and for the therapist to ask questions. This should be noted on the website or communicated. If purchasing a 30, 60, 90... etc, minute massage you are really getting 20, 50, 80....minutes of hands on massage time. The entire time should be devoted to the hands on massage and I've been to other independent spa vendors that begin the allotted time once the hands on massage commences. Unfortunately I will not return here.

Massage was ok , concern and disgust is the way they talk people into buy their monthly services, but when trying to cancel like my case days later, they charge for at least 30 days wether you want it or not. I personally went to them to cancel on October I was informed & signed the cancel document to stop any further charges just to my surprise they’ve continued to charge my credit card, so today they couldn’t find any records of cancellation and worst they refuse to pay those 2 months back, instead they’ve offered 3 free massages. So be careful for these scammers because when it’s time to cancel they’ll find ways to scam your credit card

Looking for an awesome massage RALPH is your guy! He listened to my concerns and problems areas, the BEST deep tissue massage I've ever received! I was very tense from sleeping wrong & not having an daily massage which caused me to eventually catch a crook in my neck shoulder area. He spends so much time in that area & also educated me on what to do when I get home & the next day. I'll definitely recommend Ralph. I just wish he was independent & didn't work for a chain massage place. I only came there because if the last minute convenience to get rid of my aches & pains. OMG Massage Luxe is a SCAM, I called to place my account on hold until after the holidays. I currently have 5 1/2 hours, the manager at the Addison TX store on Beltline told me if I freeze my account today then I am unable to use the credits that I already have while account is frozen. This is SOOOOO crazy. Please don't use them. There are so many better places to spend your money.

Very good service here! The staff is friendly. I had a wax 2 months ago and a massage today. It was very relaxing. If it is your first time receiving a massage be prepared for them to ask you if you want to sign up for a membership which is $58 a month.

This place is definitely a must. Richard is so amazing. He is very knowledgeable about what he does and you can tell he thoroughly enjoys helping you feel your best. I've never had someone give me advice on other things I can do to help! Usually a place just says come back more often for massages, but Richard showed me a couple of things I could do at home too! Extremely professional and will be returning!!

I had a 1 hr massage today to celebrate Nurses Week and i left feeling AMAZING!! The staff were very professional and friendly, the ambiance was relaxing and Shenille had the perfect touch. Ended up getting a membership after the complimentary 15 min on the hydroluxe bed.

I'm a huge proponent of individuals working in service industries, but I can't support the gimmicks of this establishment. Most massage parlors have reduced their advertised massage lengths to the time that you'll receive treatment. This particular location advertises a 90 minute massage, but will limit the treatment to no more than 80 minutes; five minutes to undress and five minutes to re-dress. The amount of time it takes to fill out the forms that are required prior to treatment is about 10-15 minutes. If you arrive on time for your appointment, this time is subtracted from the 80 minutes. I requested a 90 minute massage, but only received 65 minutes of treatment. When I mentioned the disparity to the front desk clerk/cashier, she told me that I was only entitled to the 65 minutes of treatment because I arrived close to the time for my appointment. Then had the temerity to ask for gratuity after paying for a 65 minute massage at the 90 minute rate. I intend to reach out to the management of this location, as it states that it is independently owned.

Staff very pushy about signing up for a package. Kevin which is supposed to be a professional was very inappropriate during my massage. I told the manager about what took place and she said I will write a report she was not empathic or sympathetic about this incident. Kevin by the way is still an employee there so please beware.

I had a 60 minute massage today and while I was still clothed told the therapist I had specific knots I wanted him to focus on during the massage, I left with those same knots. Waste of time and money.

I actually enjoy Massage Luxe! I've had nothing but nice service from the massagers with the exemption of one who I thought was a little too friendly. Yet, I have found my favorite person to return to named Paige in Brentwood. The membership saves me money because my back is injured from softball and hurts quiet often. This is a nice way to do something for myself every month. Massage Luxe is my relaxing place right beside the local bar. Plus you can always freeze or cancel an account by visiting your location and signing a form.

I gave my daughter (a college student with no income) a gift certificate for a massage for her 18th birthday. They high pressured her into signing an agreement, even though she had no income or credit card to put down for the membership. We have now been billed for two months, despite the fact that we have asked them to stop. It is nice to know that a lovely birthday present will be a negative hit on my daughter's brand new credit score... Bad Business, Massage Luxe. Shame on you!

Denicia and Christina do great facials. However, the sales tactics of the salespeople at the welcome counter are a bit aggressive. They try to get you to sign up for a monthly membership. I signed up, and I've had pleasant experiences with the facials over the last 3 months that I have gone there.
