Massages were amazing and service was great. I got a deep tissue massage and my wife received a prenatal massage. We both loved our masseuses, they were very professional and accommodating. We will definitely be returning in the future.
I wanted to give 1 star due to the arrogant and condescending attitude displayed by the owner Sophia but at the end of the day it will hurt her staff more then it would hurt her. I went with a Travel Zoo voucher that listed a number of different massages I can get. One of those massages was an aromatherapy massage. We filled out our form listing our name, problem areas and what kind of massage we wanted. We selected the aromatherapy. On the way out we were charged an additional $20 because "Aromatherapy was not included." This trip was for my girlfriends 30th birthday and I did not want to put a damper on the day by creating a scene so I paid the fraudulent up-charge and decided to let travel zoo handle it from there as they also never gave us our gift cards as it was clearly stated in the package. A few days later and a call to Travel Zoo I come to find that the oils used in the aromatherapy are not included in the voucher which is why they charged me. So I wonder to myself, what is an aromatherapy massage without the aromatherapy oils? I spoke to Sophia who didn't even apologize until I called her out on it. She said to me "Well if its $20 we are talking about then I will just refund it." No apology, and just dripping with "I am better than you." Yeah, $20 is not a lot of money. But thats not the point. The point is I bought a voucher for an aromatherapy massage and I expect to get that massage with no additional cost. If Sophia forgot to list a clause stating there was an up-charge for these magical oils then that is a Sophia problem and not mine. And to top it off she did everything in her power to blame me (well you filled out the form that said aromatherapy) and her employees (well they probably didn't know you were with Travel Zoo.) So which is it Sophia, did they up charge me because they didn't know I was with Travel Zoo, or did they up charge me because the oils were not included? She constantly put her foot into her mouth trying to cover up her previous excuse. A good owner who works in customer service should have apologized first, made the refund and then contacted Travel Zoo to make the corrections to the verbiage. All this woman did was blame everyone but herself. I am now seeing why this spa only has 3 stars and not 4 or 5 like most Rittenhouse spas do.
