I visited the other day for the first time. I received a gift certificate for my birthday for a massage, mani, and pedi package. The days leading up to my appointment, I received several emails about them updating their online system. Cool. I arrive for my appointment and everyone was super kind and on time. My massage was okay. It was slightly uncomfortable and painful though. The massage therapist would dig into pressure points in my back and hold pressure for several seconds until I winced and pulled away. Ow. After that, I moved to my mani and pedi. The nail tech seemed unorganized. I told her I wanted gel on my nails and I also told her that of course I’d pay the extra price. She checked a piece of paper (I’m assuming a schedule) and then told me she didn’t know if she would have time. Wouldn’t gel be faster than waiting for my regular polish to dry though? She also randomly asked me if I was in the medical field and then began talking to me about her recent mammogram.... weird lol she also made comments that my feet and hands were dry. I’m aware. I feel like the mani and pedi took way longer than it should’ve. She had to remove polish from several of my toes and redo them. She had me Stick my foot in the water to test if it was too hot. Yes, it was scorching. She then added cold water after that. After I already burned my foot.... Then came time to check out. I was so ready to just leave but stood there for an extra 10 minutes while the staff randomly clicked buttons on their computer trying to figure out my total and gratuity. At first they told me there was no gratuity added to my gift certificate, there definitely was. They saw that after a few more computer clicks. I quickly gave them cash for the up charge for gel polish. You would think they’d train their staff on a new computer system outside of busy hours and as a group. I’m still wondering if my payment total and payment was even correct. What was supposed to be 3 hours of relaxation turned out to feel like 10 hours of me wanting to run out the door with undone nails and wet toes.

I’ve been going to Rachel for laser hair removal on my bikini and under arms for the past 8 months and am incredibly pleased with my results thus far. I still need two more treatments but I am already barely having to shave either area. Rachel is professional, knowledgeable and makes you feel comfortable through the whole process. I highly recommend scheduling with her for all your laser hair removal needs!

The staff are all welcoming and friendly. The salon and spa spaces seem to go on forever but the environment is relaxing and peaceful. The prices for some services seem a little higher than others on the area but you honestly notice the difference.

Had a 60min prenatal massage with Allison. She was very friendly and professional! I have significant hip/lower back/joint pain as I’m 36 weeks pregnant. Allison adjusted pressure application based on my needs and truly helped relieve pain. She also provided suggestions to reduce day-to-day pain. I would absolutely recommend her!

New in town. Tried using a new client online $20 coupon for about $150 worth of new service but they said it was only good if one of the services was over $80. They lost what could have been a new, long term customer over a $20 interpretation (coupon not clear). I figured since they were so rigid over $20, they didn't really want my business. I like to "vote with my dollars" and found another spa that did!

Hannah has been doing my hair for around 3 years now and I have only good things to say about her. We've done several keratin treatments, full colors, foils, and cuts. She knows how to work with color down to a science and explains things in a way I can understand. She always listens to exactly what I want my hair to look like and explains how we can achieve that, whether it can be done in one session or several. At this point I trust her so much I give her freedom to do whatever she thinks will look best and I always leave feeling so beautiful!

Hannah is an awesome asset to this salon.She really makes the experience. She genuinely cares!!! not only caring about how happy you are with your hair results but always ensuring the health of your hair! I have always loved what she recommends. And truly trust her! But what really tips her from “Good to great” to me is the extra personal connection - she is a great listener- remembering those tiny personal details or things you spoke about in conversations past certainly about your hair but about your dog or kids etc... She Is a relationship builder which is a salon’s lifeline. many salons often do not realize that! My services with Hannah span all fronts: highlights color, eyebrows etc!

I got a deep tissue massage with Mike. It was the best deep tissue massage I’ve ever had. When requesting this type of massage in the past at different establishments, I’ve been disappointed. He really knows where to add pressure to release tension and stiffness in my joints. He hit areas of my shoulder and hands that I didn’t even know needed it. But, wow! I feel amazing today! I already made another appointment in 2 weeks!

Edited Review/1 week after treatment: If you have sensitive skin at all... Dermaplane might not be for you. I had my Dermaplane on a Monday, and by Wednesday night, my entire face was broken out in a horribly painful rash(razor burn?) It was awful. I guess my skin was just too sensitive. Unfortunately, I'd done the treatment right before vacation, and even makeup couldn't hide the horrible breakout. It made me incredibly self conscious. I loved how all of my peach fuzz was finally gone... but it just wasn't worth it. I will NOT be doing this again. The Face & Body Spa is still nice, I'd return for other stuff, I just don't recommend the Dermaplane. Original review: I had my dermaplane treatment performed by Sarah at the Chesterfield location and it was great! She was very friendly and answered all of my questions. I love the results.

This place is great! I went for the first time this past week and saw Morgan. She completely changed my look and it is exactly what I was looking for! Cannot say enough. This was the first time I have ever colored my hair so I was nervous and it turned out better then I expected. I will be back!

I assume 5 stars is the top rating. Great experience, Hanna was on time as usual. She is a great communicator which is not the case all the time with other stylists I have used in the past. She inquires as to how I am liking the color and the cut. If there is anything that I want to do different with the cut or color. This visit was for a cut. My hair looked very nice when I left and looks good today also.

I was not told the massage therapist for my appointment was $20.00 more than my friend's. It wasn't until I was paying for the service that I was informed. From a customer service perspective, that should have been conveyed either at the time the appointment was booked, or when the appointment was confirmed. I was quite taken aback when I was paying. Not a good practice on your behalf.

Approximately 4 months ago I started having backaches which I never experienced before. My primary doctor suggested a massage and I thought, why not? I went to The Face and The Body before so I made an appointment and my life changed. Sarah talked to me before my first treatment to discover my needs. I now go every month and feel great. Reserved 2-90 minutes massages and facials for our Valentine weekend and found out after we driove 3 hours we actually only had 1 facial & 1 massage.... haha only after the first service was provided. We would have left if we had known that we were “ fillers”. They filled their spots with us without confirming upon arrival. My question is ... how did we go from 2-90 minutes massages to 1 facial 1 massage? Totally furious! Receptionist says: “ I am really sorry... I can have the manger call you tomorrow!” I responded....” thank you for ruining our night out!”

I'm disappointed in The Face & The Body. I bought a gift card for a friend with a credit card and she happened to misplace the gift card. I called The Face & The Body and asked if it's possible to track the gift card, cancel it, and reissue one. A very nice young lady attempted to help me but couldn't find it in their system. Apparently, any purchase should be tracked in your account but mine wasn't. She advised she would follow up with a manager and get back to me - which she did but to no avail. I asked if they could track it by my credit card but they are unable to due to outdated systems. I can make purchases at any other retail store and track through a credit card but such a high-end spa is unable to track my purchase and apparently someone failed to follow protocol by putting my purchase under my account. My entire family frequents this location so this is very upsetting to me.

Received the Oasis Spa gift certificate. Great experience with every clinician. However.....Word of caution. Make sure you clearly understand what your gift certificate entails and how much each service costs. What I requested on the phone and what I received at the salon were 2 different things. I clearly asked for one type of service but received a different one-which turned out to more expensive. I think “up-selling” is common here so just careful. Won’t go back again. Gave 4 stars for the clinicians.

This has been my go-to for years for hair cuts, facials and pedicures. Leah does amazing work with my hair which is not easy to cut. Marianna and Lucy are wonderful for a pedicure and facial. I got a gel manicure and 2 days later the polish was chipping. I called and they agreed to let me come into fix the nails that had chipped. My grandma ended up passing away on the day I was supposed to go back in so I called to cancel and asked if there was still anything they could do. A manager called me back 2 days later and basically told me that they tried to fix things but since I couldn’t make it the only thing she could offer me was 10% off. Apparently she is pretty heartless because I couldn’t make the appointment due to my grandma passing. I told her that I would be taking my business elsewhere. If I could give this place negative stars I would.

This is about my experience with the master stylist Kazue who at the time that I used her services a few times in the past was @ Clarkson location!! This one is for you Kazue and for your salon owners, as I feel they need to sit you down and have a serious talk with you about giving your clients what they are paying a master stylist to do and not be so greedy. I must say she does does good job with color and cuts. Her rates are of a Master stylist, so you would expect great results since you are paying up there. So i set appointment for a root touch up, cut,blow out(not finger dry) and a separate a flat ironing service. So when you are paying for a full blow out service you are expecting for your hair to be prepped up fully as if you are not even needing flat iron, as flat ironing after the blow out,is my preference sometimes when I am wanting a super smooth sleek finish. Well she just kinda dried it with a brush straight where I looked like a chia pet;not like the stylists are soppouse to do where your hair is set and looking finished. So she did not set the hair as it’s a service on its own, therefore after the so called full blow out service,the flat iron did not give me that smooth silky result that I am able to get elsewhere for much less $. So I basically paid almost $100 for this service alone but got the result of an average blow out. Plus I had some static frizz around face and top,and she just let me walk off like that. I saw it when I got into my car. Keep in mind I tip very very well much higher than average clients. And when I set appointment I always let them know how much time she needs for my hair service. Also she put some type of conditioning in my hair for like 10 mins to smooth it out a bit without letting me know it’ll be like an extra $100. I know other girls who do this and don’t even charge you when you tip exceptionally well. I should have been given that option at least two choose or told that it’s an extra. But she put it in my hair and I only found out when I was paying at the checkout. Huge turn off she lost me as a costumer. So for 2 1/2 service where she was doing another clients hair while I had dye in my hair,for root touch up, cut, blow out & flat iron, for shoulder length hair I paid almost $300 not including the tip. At least do it right & fully if you are charging like you are!!!

I recently got a spa pedicure here, it was great until I noticed swelling and redness developing on the inner part of both of my big toes. I called the "spa" and they told me to come in so they could have a look and give me advice. A different esthetician looked at my toes and told me that it looked like the skin was cut down too far and caused an inflammatory reaction and to use neosporin so I wouldn't get an infection... I ended up speaking with the manager after and she refused to give me a refund and claimed that "we" 100% don't know if the pedicure caused this... I have been getting pedicures for over 15 years and have never had this problem even though ironically thus was the most expensive one I have gotten! Don't waste your money coming here they obviously don't put customers first!

If you are thinking of buying a Groupon for either a facial or a massage, then this place is a rip-off. They provide a discriminated service for the Groupon holders (which they do not disclose on Groupon's website). The facial service is a shortened one using low quality products. The massage service is also of a lower quality. One does not get to chose the type of massage as is the case with their usual service. I also felt that they discriminate the Groupon holders during booking.
