First time visiting this spa and had an amazing time. The staff was so helpful and accommodating the whole way through.
The Valley Ho is my go to hotel in Scottsdale and the spa does not disappoint. My facial and massage were amazing. Highly recommend!

Amazing spot for new years eve!!!
Couldn't have been better. Clean and quiet and perfect for a random staycation ????
Nice and fun decor

Nice live music and love boozy shakes watch out on price $18 for shake then another $13 for added liquor. Which I was not aware of till I got bill.
Beautiful place ????
Best run hotel in Scottsdale
It’s a good enough spa but the front desk staff seems high strung and stressy; they need to use their own services and calm down! ????
We rented out roughly 25 rooms for a company retreat, including the Presidential Loft Suite so we could have a gathering area. The hotel is a great location, the rooms are all very nicely appointed. The problem was the level of absurd sound control demanded by security. We gathered each night in the Presidential Suite for some games and fun, nothing over the top, no wild party, just some socializing and card games. We had music on but it was background music, nothing loud at all. We did have people coming in a out for a few hours each night so we left the door slightly open, I guess this set off one of the neighbors. What they don't advertise is that the Presidential Suite is situated next to condos or suites owned by full-time tenants (in the same building & shared hallway). One (or many) of which were complaining about noise both nights despite the fact it was a very tame gathering. It was pretty lame, especially considering it was a suite built for entertaining. If they are going to charge so much for it, at least sound proof the dang thing a little better or add another hall door to block sound from the neighbors. Security came up and read us the riot act without even trying to give a first warning or ask politely. There was no attempt to be cordial at all, just a few 'roided up security guards threatening to kick us out. Great location for sleep or the pool but do not plan to go here if you're doing any sort of gathering with others.
Wonderful hotel and staff. I love the combination of midcentury decor and modern amenities.
Great place to stay. So fresh and so clean. Great location. Will return.

Amazing hotel and staff were friendly
Amazing Service!!! It was on my bday bucket list to try their infamous Showstopper drinks! The August Showstopper was great! The food was great. Their take on breakfast rice was DELICIOUS! They made my day. I didn’t expect to enjoy my birthday because of COVID restrictions but they made it special. They were safe, friendly and so nice!! I will definitely be back!
Great pool, bar and rooftop events.
Valley- HORRIBLE Don't do it! Room was so dirty there was the prior guest sock under the bed. YUCK! When we complained the staff all the way up to the manager they were rude and unprofessional. In addition to being dirty the room was very run down. The pictures must have been taken ages ago. My brother was traveling with me and his room was equally in need of updating a good cleaning. We checked in at noon and we left before dinner. They of course charged us for the night because - wait for it ... they had to clean the room "again". What can I say there is a reason why the locals call it Valley Ho-rrible!
My wife and kids drove up from the 'Old Pueblo' for a two night weekend stay. The location was great, the property had quality curb appeal and the team members that we encountered during our stay were up beat and enthusiastic. Thanks again for the terrific stay.!
Amazing room, kind staff, clean, awesome pool
Love the staff, love the huge tub, but the staff made me so comfortable the whole time. 10/10 definitely will be back for more staycations
Great pool side service and great atmosphere.
The best experience I had with a result
My wife and i live this place, it is a little oasis in the middle of phoenix. Can't wait to go back again.
Top notch. I travelled to phoenix on business and this hotel was one of the options given to me. This is one of the few hotels i would come back to on my own dime. Has a very resort like atmosphere. Good music at the pool without being annoying, and very attentive staff. The hotel restaurant is very good. Some of the best wings i have ever had. Rooms are clean and comfortable.
Extremely courteous staff, aesthetic and comfortable amenities, and located near many fun places outside of the resort make this a spot to visit for a pool day or a longer stay. Very pet friendly grounds (many areas to walk) and water/food bowls with treats.
Best place in town for hot eats, cool treats or splashing feets in the pool for a party!
Very friendly staff.
The ideal boutique hotel
Birdie was our bartender and she was absolutely fabulous! Took great care of us and recommended the lobster roll. Let me just say, best lobster roll I've had in quite some time! Turns out they fly in their seafood fresh daily. Simply delicious! Always a wonderful stay and fantastic service at the Valley Ho.
Excellent Hotel, if you are looking for a place to stay for staycation in Scottsdale, I would definitely checkout Hotel Valley Ho, one of the old elite Hotel that was built and finished in 1956, one of the etchlant hotel in Scottsdale still active hosting ever first air conditioning hotel at the time the original owners lived in Southern California and where known for their lavish hotel and brought a lot of famous clientele’s such as Betty Davis to Humphrey Bougart other famous did come and stayed at this hotel. At the time it had 194 rooms, after changing hands after original owner past away. Ramada Hotel chain took over and when they under it was for sale it was going to be knocked down the hotel until it was bought by a developer, it was renovate for almost 80 million dollar with new more rooms and updated pools 2 of them and still kept Frank Lloyd Wright design with a restaurant and cabanas. Me and my mom stayed their for two day’s and the rooms are exquisite and nice with the original air conditioner vents and nicely decorated rooms and the bathrooms are fabulous with a tub and shower plus they do charge for the drinks in the room they have beer and small wines to spirits your own bar !!! Hotels ambiance is fabulous and the staff is friendly and will help quests answer questions and help you if need towels or anything they are friendly on the phone and I fo love their pools they have 2 of them one is the main pool picture above they will give you towels and drinks or soda and food at the bar, you can also rent a cabana for $20.00 or just relax under an umbrella and enjoy the pool and the other pool is nice and quite good for quest who want peace and quiet !!! Plus I do love their restaurant ZaZa, excellent food and prices range $9.00 and up depending breakfast, Lunch or dinner. Me and mom had breakfast and it was great, coffee was excellent , price might be high but it was awesome !!! You should check this Hotel out in Scottsdale !!!
Came here to have a relaxing week...ended up leaving beyond frustrated. When we initially checked in at the front desk, I asked about how we could go about booking the pool for the week and the answer I got was to go to the pool and ask. When I picked up a rental car I went up to the front desk to ask about parking , I was told to go speak with valet. Every single time I needed something to be done the front desk was unable to help, besides give me free water. What’s the point of having a front desk if they have you go elsewhere to get things done? The whole process just doesn’t make sense. All of the running around, no straight answers was completely frustrating. Not to mention we were told our room should have been cleaned half way through our stay... and it was cleaned the last day of our stay? What was even the point? We had to go up there twice to get supplies and ask to have our garbage removed. Also was quoted that self parking was $10 then when I checked out they told me it was $20 and only visitor parking was $10? Hotel overall looked appealing, and the staff at the pool were extremely helpful. Besides that I wouldn’t recommend a stay.
Confusing entrance. Nice wall for a photo.
Well okay if I'm being honest. I've never actually stayed here as a guest. But I stopped by many time as a limousine chauffeur service driver. And I did recently interview for work there. I certainly do hope and pray I get the position. It looks like a very beautiful place to be employed at and a guest at. Have had never heard anything but good things.
Great rooms, 1950-60's retro feel to the property; amazing pool - AWESOME spa! Close to lots of bars, restaurants, not too far from Old Town Scottsdale.
This was my first time visiting this hotel and pool. It was my birthday weekend so we purchased a cabana and to my surprise they upgraded my room to a suite which was absolutely amazing!! Great view of the mountains, nice size patio, kitchen and bathroom! The staff was super nice and helpful too! Overall loved my stay and will return!
Staff is great they don't mind helping
Every member of staff I encountered was extremely friendly! The hotel and grounds were kept incredibly clean and beautiful. The pool is nice and entertaining. The rooms are nice and give off a great vibe. My only complaint and the reason this was not a five star review... Our reservation was “accidentally” cancelled by the hotel staff prior to our arrival. We had booked and paid for a pool view room. They offered to upgrade us to not only a pool view but a Cabana room so that we could walk right from our patio into the pool area... well, our room/patio was behind a huge concrete wall. We could not see the pool and the gates to allow access from the patio were zip tied closed. So we were unable to even benefit from having a cabana room. We lost our pool view we wanted due to the hotel staff’s error and don’t feel as if we were actually upgraded for the inconvenience.
The staff at the pool are the BEST! They were attentive and friendly, even while wearing masks. We love this hotel and will be back!
Modern, newly renovated/remodeled property.
Great retro hotel with great pool and rooms. Seating in room could be better but who comes to Scottsdale to sit in their room. Awesome little porch too.
I’m not one to normally EVER write a review but man I’m so dissatisfied. My drinks had little to no liquor, I ordered a couple shots of tequila (water shots) and I was told they stick ice cubes in signal shots to cool them down...by the time we got out “shots” there was NO ice. They were 16$ shots... Beautiful& comfortable seating by the pool (if you wanna pay the price)
Clean, nice and the staff is top notch! Can't wait to visit the pool this year!
Ann Marie H.
Great location- fun pool atmosphere. No maid service during our stay which was tough (covid rules?) friendly staff
Staff was disrespectful. Especially the valet staff. Room was ok but could have been better.
Amazing room, very beautiful. Felt a little discriminating
"If you want a small, quiet and quaint inn to stay in a neighborhood this is the place. If you are looking for resort amenities you will be disappointed - ie no in-house spa, shopping etc.Everyone is exceptionally friendly and a little quirky - in a good way. Food selection is limited but I am also a fairly picky eater. My husband and I will definitely be back."
world famous ? hotel photo
Love this place. Cool, very friendly and reasonable.
Location, staff and style give a great vacation vibe.
Always tries to be the coolest place in Scottsdale and doesn't disappoint. Love the suites, food at Zuzu and the pool.
Matt and Barry were awesome! Will definitely be back again!!!
Gorgeous motel. Friendly service!
It was so close to all the places we were visiting for a surprise trip for my husband's birthday! We would stay again! It a perfect location!
Loved staying here. Amenities were good. Sub par options for dinner but the rest was great!
Historic and classic, yet modern and up-to-date. Truly the best of both worlds. Fantastic hotel.
Maker Construction C.
Great historical hotel with a lot of history!
What a really nice retro boutique Hotel. Good Service and the Hotel restaurant was fantastic. Walking distance or a short trolly ride to a lot of shops, art stores, jewelry stores, and restaurants. In heart of Scottsdale.
Great hotel. Very comfortable, well appoted rooms. Friendly staff. Great food and bar.
Studio King room is very comfortable. Staff is very friendly and accommodating.
This hotels been around for a long time and it's had a facelift. But the food and the service has not changed. Less food for more money, larger tips for not such great service. if you're a local skip the restaurant, if you're out of town and you're staying there as long as the company's paying, eat-all-you-can ????
Raymond Thacher J.
Great hotel really clean! Very pricey though.
This was an amazing hotel. Service, location and amenities were out of this world!
Enjoyed our stay
Matt gives the best massage in town and Berri's facial was so relaxing, I fell asleep. Had a great time, thank you.
Spent one night here for our 5 year anniversary and we were VERY disappointed. Checked in and put our stuff in the room, then immediately left for dinner and dancing. Returned to the room past midnight, showered, climbed in bed, then stared to notice all the discrepancies. Tiles and grout in shower were cracked, mirror in bathroom was broken/warped and stained, the ceiling had smoke/ dirty air stains smeared all across the room from the directional vent, there were splatters of who knows what red substance on the walls, and there were spider webs / cobwebs on one of the chairs! Furthermore, the bed didn't have a fitted sheet, only a flat sheet over the mattress. AND the flat sheet was too small to efficiently tuck under the mattress, so it kept riding and bunching up during the night. When we checked out the next morning, we brought all this up to management and showed pictures. The manager on shift actually reprimanded us for not telling them upon check in, even after I explained we only spent 5 mins in the room, then left until after midnight. He said he can't give us a discount or any partial refund at all off of what we paid for the one night (over $500!). He offered to give us discounts at the bar and restaurant, but we don't drink and the menu doesn't have any vegetation options (we are vegetarian). So he just resorted to telling us that when we stay there again, he will give us a discount on an upgraded room (upselling!?! Forcing us to spend more $!). I told him we are both 30, and work for a living. We won't be able to afford to stay there for at least another 2 years. I asked him if he was going to remember me in 2 years, assuming we would even want to stay there again, and he just handed me his business card and said "maybe if you email me." Seriously, rooms at this place cost over $500 a night, and they don't even bother to patch cracked grout and tiles, or replace broken mirrors, or use sheets that fit??? ADDITIONALLY, there is NOTHING glamorous or high class about the rooms. The finishes are cheap and old, and it just feels sloppy. The only thing special about the rooms is the bath tub. Period. So if you don't plan on taking a $500 bath, then avoid this place!
Just Great! Ambience and Service is Swanky and Wonderful!!
Wesley gave a great massage! The spa was small, but neat and peaceful. The "mid-week mojo" pa deal was pretty awesome and I highly recommend. Walking distance to many good eats as well. Pro tip: park on the street because parking at the hotel ("valet") is NOT free and ridiculously priced.
We loved this hotel. The atmosphere, staff and food were all amazing! Attention to detail was spot on and was truly a fantastic experience. Can’t wait to go back!
Thank you to all the Hotel Valley Ho staff for an excellent week and hope to see you soon!!
We love this place! It has a great retro atmosphere, clean, bright accommodations, and friendly attentive staff. The catering for on-site events if great, with plenty of tasty options, and the lounge is a great place to get a craft cocktail after hours.
Love the look and feel of this place. Service is very good.
Great place for a staycation !! The pool is amazing and love all the drinks they offer !! Also in a great location to everything !
Beautiful historic hotel. Great place for the wedding we attended.
Funky 50s feel. FUN! Excellent food. Rooms are quieter, now.
Great place to meet up with girlfriends, date night for live music to to take your fav niece for the shake of the month!
Nice place. Visited for a function and hope someday we can stay there.
Certainly a hidden gem. It seems that an investor bought an old icon of the valley, dumped a ton of money into a new facelift, and hooked it up to good management/ chefs. This place is a great mix of everything and literally all the food is good. A very cool atmosphere in the evenings, this place is always a fun time!
Fun place great place for a Christmas party. Excellent food, and service.
The Daily Out B.
Really lovely hotel. Rooms are spacious, have coffee facilities, bed super comfy. Our room had a pretty view of the pool.
Very quiet, clean, and quaint. Rooms are very large and contemporary.
Very nice went there had dinner with friends food was good service was excellent and had live music on Saturday night
Hotel Valley Ho!!!! Love this gem of a hotel :) I had a few hours to myself on Monday and decided for a drink at ZuZu yesterday and the charm of the hotel is real. I enjoyed the scenery and decor and the ambiance was so chill. The Valet were so sweet and treated me like a celebrity for the 20 seconds I interacted with them. The bartenders were so knowledgeable and gave me some brief history on my aperol spritz and the ingredients that make it so delicious! How cute!! The decor is so true to the 50's vibe. I would love to staycation here with my parents, It would be a blast from the past.
A Google U.
Ask for Matt! Amazing 90 minute massage perfect amount of firmness and pressure. 10/10 recommend. Receptionist w cute curly hair very helpful and sweet also.
Absolutely terrible. I was there with some friends from out of town. The hotel looks nice but the staff was awful. Very rude, just terrible the way they treated them and me. Stay anywhere else but here.
Excellent stay! NYE staycation with my husband and we were very pleased. The location is perfect in Scottsdale and the hotel itself is charming. Valet was professional, friendly, and helpful. The hotel itself is beautifully designed inside and is retro chic. The room was clean with modern designs. My husband said it felt like we were in Vegas. Will absolutely return and recommend this hotel.
This hotel is very much cooler than I am, which isn’t saying much, but even cool people say it’s cool. Fun atmosphere, big bathtub, and very good restaurant. Will definitely come back!
Such a cool hotel. Mid-century modern at its best. Amenities are amazing. Very comfortable beds.
Cool rooms in the tower. Awesome view off balcony
I came for a weekend get away with my partner. The room was clean and modern. The staff service was excellent. We enjoyed our romantic weekend get away. Will come back again.
This place us hip, classy and has great service. Great Old Town Scottsdale location.
The Response from management was less then helpful and did Not address how rude and unpleasant the front desk staff was. Ignoring will get you no where.
We had a celebration brunch for our new ASU grad and Zuzu's was super for our group of 8.
I’m local. This is my favorite resort in the valley. Great service, spa, food, pool. Great value for outoftown guests. I always refer my friends to stay here when they need R&R.
We went to an office party on the 8th floor rooftop reception area. The service at the event was stellar, food excellent and 360 degree views are some of the best you will find anywhere in the Valley of the Sun! Don't pass up a chance to visit this Valley Landmark.
Old school. Best place around.
Always have a great time here and the places nearby! #thebillradkeexperience
Sands resteraunt excellent. Nice hospitality. Mid century modern style.
Was expecting to see Frank Sinatra and the boys at the bar! A wonderful retro hotel. Brunch menu has a nice selection of breakfast and lunch offerings. Tried the make your own Bloody Mary bar - think next time I’ll have the professional make my drink!
So far, so good! Luis (front desk) is an all-star - he definitely understands and accentuates Hotel Valley Ho’s commitment to quality Customer Experience. Leaving this rating due to his approach and great pride in his work.
Great pool, gym and proximity to riverfront restaurants and shopping.
Truly such a pleasant experience, retro Hollywood star treatment, from the awesome spa, pool, ZuZu restaurant, and the 1970's decor in the rooms and all around. The staff is patient and professional, loved it!
Very fun place. Clean, tidy, great retro vibe.
We had an awful experience at this property. It has gone downhill rapidly. The staff was rude and inexperienced at the front desk, bar, and elsewhere. Truly a horrible experience and we will never return. Nor will about 12 other friends that came to join us in the pool , bar and hotel. A sad and rapid decline for such an iconic place. Thankfully there are many wonderful properties nearby that are very well run, managed and that show true hospitality. Valley Ho is NOT one of them.
Nice, clean, stylish and comfortable rooms.
Cool hotel. Vibe is cool and has a retro feel.
Super cool vibe!
I think this is centrally located and very cool the way it is decorated.
Jorge Ricardo C.
The vibe is cool and retro at the Hotel
Amazing stay. Loving the retro '50s style. Staff very pleasant. Definitely recommend.
Took a one day seminar. Great facility and delicious lunch in restaurant.
Fabulous mid-Century modern design hotel adjacent to Scottsdale's Old Town is popular with couples, families and groups . Walkable, quiet, relaxing and comfortable. Service is friendly and attentive. Dining options are limited but high quality in the onsite restaurant. In-room dining available if you want to eat alfresco on your deck. Bar is full service. Pools options are quiet or lively with beautiful surroundings.
Loved my therapist for message, Christina and Jennifer was fabulous when checking us in and getting us oriented to spa. Jennifer was super friendly and made us feel very welcomed. My treatment was heavenly! The amenities are lacking and there is just a small area to change for treatment and and a small area to wait for your service. If you don’t want the fluff and a great treatment- this is the place!
I was here with my family for two days. All the people here are very good and polite.
Really nice experience ????????
Came here with a friend to try this months show stopper, no regrets it was so yummy. I will say that this is something that must be shared with best 2 other people. We also had the fried which aren’t pictures but we need something salty to go with this sweet!
We didn't stay here, but had dinner in the dining room. The food was very good, by hotel standards. But, the bar area is connected to the restaurant and between the drunk crowd (middle age wanna be's) and the over amped singer, it was impossible to carry on a conversation, or enjoy the meal. Bad design and execution. Don't meet here if you want to talk to your table mates.
Overpriced, bad service, bad maintenance low quality. This 50s motel is already totally overpriced and still they constantly try to upsell! Even though valet parking was included in our package (we found this out later), the valet was very rude and pushy in getting hold of our car keys, and then they wanted to charge us for valet service. We declined, so they wanted to change us for using the parking lot. We declined and parked the car along the road in front of the hotel ourselves. The room was of low standard. In the bathroom tiles were missing. We asked for room service to make the room before 2pm. (between our first and second night). That never happened. The fridge in the room is so full of stuff they are trying to sell, you can't put your own stuff in. At checkout there was a whole list of charges on the bill that we were never told about. Parking was on the bill again even though we returned the parking ticket immediately and did not use the parking. Front desk staff is unable to make any decisions without asking a manager.
Very fun retro vibe!
Nice hotel. Love the very well done combination of mid-century modern and contemporary decor. Room was large enough to be comfortable. Service was great. Staff was very nice and professional across the board. Proximity to old-town Scottsdale is awesome. Walking distance to a seemingly endless list of great restaurants. The shopping including many art galleries/shops was also a nice bonus. Would definitely stay there again and would recommend. Especially if you're looking for a nice laid-back atmosphere. I don't think you can beat Hotel Valley Ho in that area.

Old style hotel. Love the colors. Great housekeeping services. But best of all location location

Being mid century modern fans, it would be hard not to like this place. Not only our favorite hotel in Scottsdale, but one of our favorites anywhere! Beautiful property with super cool history. Make a point to go upstairs from the main lobby to walk through the hall/museum about the hotel; very cool. It's close to the best part of Scottsdale, Old Town.If there was only one thing they could do better would be the hotel bar. Drinks were average and the addition of more rum based stuff would be cool. Other than that this place is the best! I can't comment on food as we didn't eat here.
Good for the value. Renovated a few years ago. Historic and great location for old town. $10 refund if you don’t need room service per day.
Great staff very welcoming, beautiful hotel. I will be going back ????
Stayed one night for our anniversary. We were given a suite upgrade and it was beautiful. Great customer service. Great view.
Cool vibes start from the valet stand where you're greeted by super friendly and exceedingly helpful staff. This continues to the front desk and all the way to your room. Very large rooms with modern/retro style. Chic bathroom with large bathtub. Huge balcony overlooking the resort pool that's usually bumping with good music and moods.
Everyone is so accommodating. Very friendly. Hotel is very peaceful inside your room it's so quiet. I slept so good there. Beds are so comfortable. Breakfasts are delicious. Pools are so clean. Valet parking attendant Danny made our trip especially nice. Offered us free bottled water coming and going. Also gave us perfect directions each time we left the hotel on foot. He greeted us upon our return. He also asked about each place we went. He also offered to take our picture in front of the hotel. Concierge Ace booked our tour to Sedona and we had a great time. Luis checked us in and was very nice.
Beautiful hotel and venue.
Amazing! Very fancy ????
This is our second time coming back to Scottsdale and this is the only hotel we will stay at going forward. Great staff and service.
The perfect place to stay in Scottsdale. I loved the history here and the mid century modern vibe. Amazing restaurant and cool pool as well!
We came here for an event. We loved this venue and had such a great weekend! The staff was incredible. We did sit down to eat and noticed there was a pretty basic menu with really high prices so we ended up going into old town to get food. All in all we did enjoy our stay.
Best spa ever!!
Always a favorite place in my list of to do's in Scottsdale.
Wonderful experience. Great vibe and atmosphere. Service was superb! Food was delicious and fresh!!
Fun nostalgic place to stay.
Every touch point was excellent: staff, food, drinks, room. Can't recommend enough.
Susan Y P.
Love this hotel! Staff is professional, exceptional and friendly. Food and drinks were delicious.
It was our anniversary and they surprised us with a room upgrade then Jessi the pool manager went out of her way to make our whole day at the pool so memorable and amazing! The whole staff was great and I am obsessed with the Poke bowl! Thanks Valley Ho! We are locals and will be back soon!
I highly recommend the terrace suites! Roomy, good for a couple with maybe a small group of friends as a central meeting place before hitting the restaurant bar. Food is outstanding and unique without being so fancy you don't recognize it. Pool is geared towards adults.
Retro with a modern flare. Excellent service.
I never write reviews but I was shooting a wedding at the Hotel Valley Ho and I was so impressed with the staff. Everyone was so helpful and nice the entire time I was there. One worker in particular, Jessica, who worked in the pool area was so friendly and really took the time to help me with my way around. So grateful for all of your good service. Thank you so much!
Cool retro-style hotel right in the city. Easy walk into town or very short Uber ride. Nice amenities. The pool had a fun party vibe and the gym was great. I was here for a convention and definitely enjoyed it.
The valet were speedy and friendly. The event space was comfortable. The meet up space was also comfortable and the food was amazing. Everyone who works there were super friendly and I would definitely book a room there.
Had a great class and lunch. Hyperice.
Super cool retro themed hotel right in the heart of old town Scottsdale. Staff was pleasant and always greeted us. Two different pools onsite. Bigger pool offers drink service and music, more adult oriented. Other pool is like a shallower lap type pool. Bigger pool has 2 hot tubs, while smaller pool has very shallow wading pool with fountain. Room was laid out nice, AC worked great. Room was ground level right by smaller pool, kids loved that. Bathroom had separate tub and shower which was nice. Parking is $18.00 a day, same if you valet or self park. We did self park so we could come and go as we wanted without having to go up to front and get car. If you want to find street parking you could save the parking fee. Other tip is during checkin opt out of housekeeping and receive $10.00 a day credit on your bill for any food or drinks you get, almost a free drink a day in credit!
Their reception desk was very understanding when I realized I booked my hotel on the wrong dates. They let me change the rooms without incurring any additional fees and I look forward to my stay here next week and will update my experience after I stay here.
Retro 70's look very cool!
Atmosphere, food and people make this place great. The location in the heart of old town offers many evening activities and restaurants. I recommend this place to out of town friends and family.
Saturday by the pool. Got hit on by creepy guys and the pool was warm and almost gross, but the music was great and there was free water.
My boyfriend and I stayed at the Valley Ho last week for a long weekend trip and we had the best time! We arrived extremely early for our check-in because our flight landed in the morning. I decided to go to the front desk just to let them know I was there but was not expecting to get in early. Alex at the front desk, made us feel like a top priority! He did so much to try to get us in our room before our check in time. While waiting, the valets took our bags so that we could explore and swim if we wanted to! Our room was wellllll worth the short wait. It was AMAZING. Extremely clean and the best view of Camelback EVER. Throughout the week Alex checked in on us to make sure our stay was going well and that if we needed anything to let him know. Room service was friendly and cleaned up extremely well. We felt like royalty! If you're looking for a place to stay that won't break the bank in Scottsdale I highly highly suggest staying at the Hotel Valley Ho. You will not be disappointed at all! My boyfriend and I are already planning to come back :) Extra Plus: The hotel is a picture backdrop galore!! So many fun and cute designs and decorations.
We love this hotel...it is luxury while being unpretenious. Customer service is alway guest focused with every single employee. Shout out to judy in concierge...a knowledgable professional, alex at the front desk and nicole and Pj in the restaurant. We come back every year and every year they give us more reasons to return!
Love this historic retro modern was a great restaurant inside including great coffee.
I go here with the other moms from my son's school all the time. They have the best massage therapists. My nail tech referred me here and after hearing her rave about them I thought I would try them out. The front desk was helpful and sweet. My therapist worked out the knots in my back and shoulders well without hurting me. Way better than fancier spas I've been to. Very inexpensive also.

Went for a staycation on Saturday. The double queen room was huge and had a nice patio and separate tub. The pool party was fun and lively. Friendly staff. Fun place to stay and have fun. Location was great and near the main Old Town strip about a $10 Uber/Lyft ride on the weekends.
A fun all in one hotel within walking distance of many things around town.
The vibe here is so cool and sexy! Awesome time-warp feel giving you a sense that you are part of the "rat pack". I love the amenities and energy. The room was nice and spacious. The size of the outdoor area is more than generous! Highly recommended!
Really liked Hotel Valley Ho. Great atmosphere, laid back, great service. Right in the heart of Old Scottsdale. One of the best hotels Ive stayed in, will come back!
Such a cute hotel! So retro and fab! Super clean, great service! Awesome amenities! And within a short drive or walking distance from so many shops restaraunts and bars! We loved it here and wished we could have stayed longer! 10/10 would go again!
The Valley Ho was everything we hoped it would be. I really felt like I was walking in to a 1960s hotel and that some movie star would be lounging on one of the many fun sofas. We arrived early and while our room wasn't ready, we were allowed to leave our things with the valet and use the pool. Now, I am not the youngest thing and the pool during midday is a little crazy. They have two pools and the main pool from 1-5 on weekends or maybe every day, we were only there on the weekend, has a live DJ and lots of skin. It was entertaining and there were enough seats for everyone so it was ok, but it might be a little much if you have little ones. Later on we went to the second pool which was just as beautiful but much more calm and family friendly. Our room was lovely and while my husband got a kick out of "icelandic moonflower" scented soaps in Arizona, I will tell you they were the best amenities we experienced during our two week trip through the southwest. We can't thank them enough for ending our vacation on such a wonderful and fun note.

The pool is awesome!
Clean, near Scottsdale mall, nice upgraded rooms, great value, helpful staff
Suck It Up Buttercup #.
Art Deco with a new age look. Enjoyed by young families, young people, and the older crowed as well. Gorgeous grounds, fabulous room service, extensive bars and tons of unique selfie moments. Live music and DJs at the oasis pool for the younger and older crowd.
Feels like a secluded Hawaiian resort in the heart of Scottsdale
Mid-century modern masterpiece.
I have lived in the valley for 51 years and always not very far from the Valley Ho which we as children made rather inane jokes about the obvious name and I will admit as an adult I still chuckle at our humor. For purposes of this review I will not go any further with that train of thought. When I saw several years ago the extent to which they were planning on up grading The Valley Ho I thought if they do this right it could be amazing. I was finally able to visit the hotel as a tourist might (not that I could afford to stay there and still eat for the next couple of weeks) being as some friends were staying there and invited me to stop by. I was very, very impressed. The suite I saw was 2 levels with every amenity a 5 star resort would require. Truly beautiful job. The staff was very helpful without being overly pretentious or rude. I was really glad I got to see the sunset from one of their balconies on the 4th floor and was reminded that we have some of the most amazing sunsets in the world right here. Great Job to the 'Ho's' of the valley. It really is a great place.
Excellent place to kick back for a weekend.
We loved every minute of our stay at Hotel Valley Ho. Great location, great price. Our room was very spacious, beautiful and clean. Front desk staff was amazingly friendly and helpful; specially Luis who went above and beyond to help us plan our day. Shout out to Ivan from valet service as well! Would definitely be back!
Fantastic property! Loved this hotel. Perfect to host out of town influencers for our brand!
Always an cool cook AWESOME experience. The messages are great too
A great place for celebrations, nothing like a good pool party!
I love the vibe of this place. Stayed here for 2 nights and the staff were all very friendly and attentive. Even after coming here on a priceline deal we were treated like upper class big shots. The restaurant here makes an amazing rib eye steak and the salmon was very good too. Great place for a mini staycation for the wife and I.
Although this hotel was remodeled, it still feels old. My husband and I had a room reservation for a King bed, but said they ran out when we checked in. We had to pay extra just to get a King!
Great pool! Front desk staff were amazing and super friendly! Pool side waitress didn’t seem to want to do her job but I won’t deduct a star for that...maybe she was just having a bad day. All told, really nice amenities for a decent price!

This place is beautiful and old fashionedooking at the same time. It's like you stepped back in time to an era that was very hip and cool
I came here for business and stayed for a vacation. Staff was friendly and helpful! I loved forgoing room service and earning credit for the spa. Rooms are fun and spacious. If I ever visit Scottsdale, I'm definitely coming back here to stay.
Best facial ever
Enjoyed my stay there Nothing special about the rooms but they have some nice places for outdoor parties or luncheons
Mid-century marketplace, a lil Palm Springs in the heart of Scottsdale
Cool place! The pool parties are great!
Had a great experience staying here. Got to relax in a nice quiet atmosphere by the second pool. The larger pool had a fun pool party while we were there. Ate at Zuzu and had a delicious lunch and then went back for a crazy shake after dinner out.
The renovation was well done. They did justice to that hotel. Very comfortable bar. The staff was friendly and caring. They make you most welcome. I will return and enjoy spending some time there
My favorite for many reasons
This place is so fun! The retro decor is awesome. We were there for a bachelorette party years ago. The bar inside is beautiful and relaxing- great drinks. Small pool. Nice comfortable rooms.

Amazing place to visit. If I ever come back, I'll stay here.
I love this hotel and the pool!
Top notch all the way. One of my favorite hotels around. I think it's a must that you get a room that backs onto the main pool for the true Valley Ho vibe. I had a very relaxed, beach vibe in the room. Music plays in the background at the pool, opened up the door to the balcony and just forgot about everything. I love that they have a shaker in the room and some martini glasses. How did they know a martini was my fave drink?? They do a great job at cafe ZUZU and at night the place comes alive. Delicious food, incredible service and a top notch property. You must give this place a try!

Great atmosphere, a pleasant surrounding.
This place is gorgeous! Only draw back is not being able to move from one part of the hotel to the other with a drink, alcoholic or not.
Great place to visit, although the weather did not cooperate with us that weekend. Found the staff to be excellent! The room service was prompt. View of the pool was spectacular. Our suite was in the tower. Beds were extremely comfortable. The retro kitchen was a blast from the past!!!
Great room (tower King), excellent service, food, hospitality.
Fun hotel with a retro, 50s West Coast theme. Tiki convention the weekend I was there...
Did not stay there was just a stopping point on our Segway tour and seem like a very modern Lively hotel lobby
First time coming here, very great experience. I will totally recommend this place for anybody looking fire a great date night experience. The food prepared by Chef Marissa had sone many great flavors all on one plate. I really loved the dessert. It was called the show stopper, cone get yourself one! (keep in mind this is the half order show stopper)
My kids loved the pool :)
Very cool retro feel. I kept expecting Sinatra to come around the corner. Really fun atmosphere.
Stayed here for a business trip. I was worried based on the exterior but the inside has been completely renovated. The rooms were modern enough. The conference rooms were huge and had decent amenities. This is perfectly located on main Street with tons to explore around the hotel. The prices are a little high but if you can overlook that it's a good accommodation.
Nice service very freanly People very nice place we love the hotel!!!!
AMAZING HOTEL! I stayed for five nights at Christmas time. The hotel was tastefully decorated. The staff was friendly and courteous. My room was amazing! Soft, fluffy white towels that wrap all around your body. Elegant shampoo, conditioner, soaps, lotion, Q-tips, and even cotton swabs. Shower was super clean. No sign of mold at all! Lots of lights in the room. Great pool with bar service. Amazing spa with relaxing atmosphere Very happy with my stay here. I can’t wait to tell my friends and to come back soon.
Really cool place
I absolutely love the design of the suites! They feel like a comfy and stylish perfectly laid out studio apartment...Complete with full kitchen and washer and dryer. The rest of the hotel is also quite nice, and they offer divine smelling Red Flower bath/body products in their rooms.
I loved the pool, the food and the staff! Amazing acoustic singers in the lounge on the weekend which made it an wonderful experience!
Mid Century Modern masterpiece perfectly maintained and expanded. Did not previously know that a 7-story tower was added to the property in 2012. Rentable furnished residences exist on the sixth floor of the tower. Two bedroom homes for sale on the penthouse level have wonderful eastern views over the pool. Great lounge, serving brunch on Sundays. Hotel staff are very knowledgeable and eager to help. Smart, convenient location with a comfortable style. Middle of Scottsdale.
Love having staycations at this mod hotel down the street from our house. Awesome pool and restaurant. Happy hr at the bar from 4 to 7 during the week. Dont miss their Showstopper shakes (monthly indulgence to the max)
Enjoyed the therapist and actual facial itself, however the facilities are a little dated and lacking compared to other Spas in Scottsdale AZ.
This place is really cool. I just love the mid century vibe. Fully renovated. Our room type was not available so we got upgraded to a very nice suite. It’s hard not to be happy with that. Loved the whole experience. Close to old town. Plenty to do within walking distance. Definitely coming back.
I really enjoyed our stay here. All staff was very accommodating and pleasant. Very clean, updated rooms including large bathrooms. Restaurant had delicious food and great service. We also enjoyed the pool, nice loungers, service and great decor. I’d would definitely recommend this hotel and stay again.
Wonderful hospitality! The staff were attentive and the hotel was clean! We had a minor sink issue and the staff were there in seconds to fix the issue. Everyone that works there greets you with a smile. Very happy with my stay. I will be back!!
You have to love that Valley Ho you never know what kind of you know what I mean I don't have to go to church to say what I mean about that one
Great mid century modern architecture. Wonderful place to have your Corp. Event.
The moment we turned the corner to arrive we knew we had found a gem. The bellman Michael cheerfully took our bags from Uber car. Luis at front desk checked us in but we were early. Michael took our bags to storage. We walked the grounds to take in the scenery. A 1960s feel yet very modern. Very clean grounds. Luis texted us back shortly to allow us to get to our room earlier than normal check in. Our room was situated next to the pool. Nice amenities inside the room. Well maintained, clean. Soaking in the sun by the pool a nice change from Colorado winter. Attentive pool service for drinks. In the evening a delicious meal off premise down the street followed by a cocktail at Zuzu. Ted took care of us with our drinks. Brittany at Zuzus gave us an interesting history lesson of the hotel. Comfortable night's rest followed by a killer brunch at Zuzu. Excellent oatmeal, huge pancakes and build your own mimosas. My wife took in a massage with Erin at the Spa. Nice facility. A beautiful afternoon in our patio/Cabana followed by an excellent burger at Rehab burger down the street. Back to our room for relaxing. Two cocktails from Zuzu I brought back to our room along with a piece of their decadent German chocolate cake. Another peaceful night and our stay was finished. From the moment I set the reservation on the phone to the moment the bellman put our luggage in Uber car to depart. Excellent 5 star. Thanks everyone. You made our stay wonderful. We can't wait to return the The Hotel Valley Ho.
Was only there for an event, but everything I experienced was nice, valet was cool, the open ceiling was amazing in the room we had the party in. Recommend for events at the very least
Too many menu changes. We used to come for the beef stroganoff but it no longer is served. Too bad.
Excellent. All around. Food was first rate too.
This was a great Hotel almost all the staffs you very kindly only negative thing to say was when I went downstairs to the bar/ dining section after hours I assume the gentleman and Lady working behind the counter where is extremely rude and would not even acknowledge my presence even after repeatedly trying to get their attention I was completely ignored because of this I will never stay at this hotel again
Love the style and vibe of this hotel (If only Trader Vic's was still open)
Beautiful retro style hotel.
We had a short, one night stay at Hotel Valley Ho, but it was enjoyable while it lasted. When you first walk in, you immediately walk into the bar/restaurant area, which on the Friday night we arrived had a live band playing for three hours. Our room, two double beds on the first floor, had a patio with lounge chairs for us to enjoy. The room was spacious, updated, decorated brightly, and perfect for four people and a dog. Outside of our room was the main pool with two hot tubs. No matter the time of the year, this area is open for guests to enjoy. The biggest plus is that the hotel is dog friendly. No matter the size, any dog can stay. When they bring bowls to your room, they send along treats and dog bags for your stay. Overall, I would recommend a stay at Hotel Valley Ho.
Semi historic Scottsdale hotel. Great hotel for a couple especially if you want to be in down town Scottsdale. Food is ok, service is great, employees are great, though not much else except sleep at this facility. Small pool, small banquet facility. Though great guests and special events take place here.
Had a awesome Christmas party
Great service good food
Our second visit to Valley Ho. We stopped by for a night cap. Enjoyed sitting in the bar, listening to some pleasant live music and a great cocktail. Music was pleasant - you could still have a conversation. Great way to end a fun evening out.
A beautiful and wonderful spa!! The treatments were amazing, decor was mid century modern and fun and the staff excellent! The only thing I'd be prepared for is the lighting is really tough for putting on makeup.
Beautiful hotel room and grounds. Very central to downtown Scottsdale and had great cocktails with live music in the lobby bar
Great location, great atmosphere and theme
Everything. All the time.
This faux retro hotel tries entirely too hard to be something that no longer exists, and does so at exorbitant prices. The Saguaro Hotel not too far away does basically the same thing at about the price.
Great staff very clean only complaint is pool bathroom could have used some cleaning otherwise fantastic
I would never stay at a place that would allow pets. Tacky.
Home away from home, coolest place to stay in Scottsdale not a resort. Zu Zu kills it on the culinary, room service too, multiple pools, pool parties on the weekends, good drinks. Dogs allowed, which makes it an easy choice when the pooch is in tow, they show up at your door with treats and a water dish after you check in. Really good vibe, well laid out property. Park and walk, Bird scooter, golf cart, Uber/Lyft wherever you want to go, mile from old town right on Indian School. Whatever food and drink you want within minutes and some of the best Scottsdale has to offer.
Older hotel, but god location and very close to downtown Scottsdale
It's a nice place but I had a bad experience when I realized they included in my bill a large consumption of the minibar that I did not drink.
Hotel was great! Captures the 50s classics with modern touches. Didn’t like much of the barn doors as you can hear others closing their barn doors. Circle K was block away if you take the walk way to the sands room and parking lot. Scottsdale Square was a few blocks but it starts off with a nice walk with the art shops. I do recommend to plan your time ahead, I used Lyft for rides, Uber eats for food. Enjoy!
Had drinks at the bar in the lobby. Service was prompt. Enjoyed our time there.
Fun atmosphere, went for happy hour drinks and appetizers. Food and beverages were delicious
A cool hotel off the beaten path. It has a very comfortable 50's Vegas vibe. Clean and cozy.
Great place great location
Excellent customer service!
Fantastic time at the VH spa for their midweek mojo deal! I loved that they offered a pool key to me after the spa service (I’ll definitely bring my swimsuit next time so I can enjoy). Great service from the valet to the spa and everywhere. The hidden tikis are fun!
It's been there since Scottsdale was a tiny spot on the map. So many famous people stayed there also. It's a great historic place to visit.
Great service and atmosphere.
Great burger and atmosphere for lunch!
Very cool vibe!
What a great place to stay. I stayed here for a work conference, and thought it was great for our large group of 100+ employees. The rooms were clean and updated. The bath tubs were big and had some cool mood lighting-- if that's your thing. The pools we're nice and the grounds we're well maintained. My only two complaints we're that the curtains didn't do a great job of blocking out the sun in the morning, making hard to sleep in. I also thought the air conditioning could be colder, I really had to crank down my account unit, but this just could have been my room. Overall I really enjoyed my stay here.
Just went to the pool here with some friends during the weekday. Small pool, but not too crowded at that time... nice and low-key chill vibe. Definitely best pool food I have had. Drinks were good too and service was good. Would come back to the pool anytime here.
Good so far!
Was there for a pool party. Rented a cabana and enjoyed the music and drinks:) The snack choices are good too! We had the chips guac and queso. The fruit tray and the pimento and cheese dip and chips. Will def be heading there again when we want to have a pool party.
Lovely hotel. I was staying here on a work trip but it felt like a vacation. The grounds, decor, style, and service all have that vintage midcentury feel. The room was great, well appointed and comfortable, with an awesome Cabana view of the pool. Breakfast was delicious and the bar was a lot of fun. Staff and service were all top notch. Highly recommend this spot ahead of a lot of the ritzy resorts you can find in the Scottsdale area. Would love to come back for a visit with my family or on a friends' trip!

I had a wonderful time here with my family. We spent a lot of time at the amazing pools and at the restaurant/bar/lobby area. The bar happy hour is amazing and so is the staff. Almost all staff members were very friendly and helpful. PJ, the manager, was the highlight of the experience. My only negative experience was on Sept 3, 2018, the valet driver (his manager really) forced my girlfriend to disrobe down to her wet bikini in the lobby, rather than let us bring the towel to the car. I am not sure if this 4-star hotel has such a problem with people stealing pool towels or what, but I was shocked by that experience and have never experienced such a thing in any hotel ever. Extremely unprofessional. 5 stars for the hotel. 0 stars for the valet staff.
Location is retro 70s trendy and popping with live music at the pool on Saturdays. Rooms are nice, bed is comfy and tub in the room was fantastic. Customer service was on point, will say though, 18 a day valet was a bit much but texting from phone to get your car brought around was pretty simple and impressive. I'd stay there again for Scottsdale shenanigans.
Ain't called the valley ho for nothing. Everyone's been here
Very art-deco, comfortable hotel with great service & incredibly luxurious beds. Pool party every weekend & zuzu cafe restaurant with good food. Close to everything in Old Town Scottsdale. Very welcoming with great facilities. Thoroughly recommended, try it you won't be disappointed.
Pretty good, stylish, staff is nice
The Hotel Valley Ho is a beautiful and unique hotel with wicked style! The room decor is very mid-century and colorful. Absolutely beautiful, and totally hip! The rooms feature a really nice, large bathroom and shower, and two very comfortable beds. This is also a very large and spread out hotel complex, with more than a few buildings worth of rooms. The hotel also features a nice spa, hotel bar, outdoor pool, and a restaurant. The staff was very hospitable as well! This hotel is located in the historic Scottsdale Arts District, and you're down the street from plenty of good food spots and stores. Top quality hotel!
We had good service and tasty appetizer s and small plates with drinks. Would go back
Beautiful hotel with fantastic customer service! I have had the pleasure of staying at this hotel twice now and each time I was amazed with the level of customer service. From the minute you walk in the door you are greeted with friendly and helpful staff, everyone from the valet, to the bellhop, check in staff, restaurant servers and housekeeping, everyone has a smile on their face and is anxious to help you. The property is beautiful with impeccably pristine grounds. The pool area and pools have enough room you don't feel cramped. What a great escape in the middle of the desert! I will be back.
This is a very nice hotel. Wi-Fi is fairly decent. The pools are clean and visually pleasing at night. I can't comment on the hotel restaurant, but the rooms have nice decor and look very modern.
I booked a hotel for my husbands conference and Alex, the gentleman at the desk asked how my day was and made me feel very welcomed. I walked into this gorgeous hotel in my work shirt and spandex, looking a mess after a long day with 120 kids and he made me feel valued even though I looked like I should be going to a Motel 6. I was upgraded to a king studio suite and it was breath taking. The room was so clean and spacious. After a long day for both me and my husband, we were able to order room service and enjoy a few drinks. They have a really cool bar in the lobby too. I cant wait to stay here again.
Polite staff, easy check in, rooms are spacious, bathrooms glorious, beds not bad, super hot water for the shower, pool and hot tub were fun and the atmosphere was quiet. Would definitely stay again
Super nice place. I've been in nicer, but it's usually the most affordable in the area while still being a high star establishment. I stay here 3-4 times a year while i'm in town for business.
Awesome retro hotel. Reminds me of the saint motel music video "just my type". Lots of mid century modern, but still very nice.
Great place to go and stay
Mid-Century modern art it's best. Huge hotel with several pools and hot tubs. Great places to gather and eat too. Check out Zu Zu for some yummy food or a great cocktail.
Stopped by to pick up a friend. Valet was A+!
The Valley Ho is my most favorite hotel anywhere, and I travel all over the country and beyond. The MCM decor and hip vibe are unbeatable. Service is top notch, food and drinks are excellent, and the location is great. But mostly, I come just for the ambiance and the experience. This time I had the opportunity to stay in a terrace suite, which has been on my bucket list for years. After a three night stay, I was sad to have to leave. I would stay there indefinitely if I could! I cannot recommend this hotel enough.
Everyone so kind!! What a delightful place for us phoenix residence to chill out and enjoy the other side of the city I will always visit this property and bring my friends..thx for giving us all an enjoyable stay!!
Went for Happy Hour. Food was delicious.
Amazing place combines the past, present and future
Color My C.
Great deal on Groupon! Rooms were clean and restaurant is one of our favorites in the area! Try the Unicorn Showstopper shake when they have it!
It was really fun. I loved the swimming and the dinner. There was also a bar that topped the pool off makeing my time much better with my family.
A fun visit and a unique place to stay. We have been twice. The service is great and is topped by the historic architecture. If you like the visual appeal of mid century modern design give this place a try. You can even take a tour of the property and learn its history.
Love this place. So cool and relaxing. You can walk to everything in Scottsdale. We will be back next year for Spring training.
Are they not making budget? That's the only reason I can think of for the Hotel Valley Ho charging non-cancellation fees for reservations that don't exist. Not only 1 time but 2 times. The first time for over $300, I wanted to book a reservation there but I didn't want to get charged the $300 off the top and nowhere on the site did it tell me that that was going to happen. Imagine my surprise when I went to use my credit card and it was declined because my account had gone into negative figures. In calling the Valley Ho in speaking to their representative, after much debate and I must say very begrudgingly the 300 was refunded. What has really spurred this review is the recent hundred $146 that was charged to my account from the Valley Ho just this week. I spoke to their customer service department and I was told that it was for a non cancellation. When I explain to them that I did not reserve a room they escalated my issue to another gentleman who claims that back in April when I was disputing the $300 charge at that time I went ahead and made another reservation. When I asked him about types of notification Valley Ho gives to their clients who have reservations he did indicate that they do send email reminders we verified my email address on file and I did share with him that I did not receive any of those emails because if I had then it would have alerted me to the fact that there was a reservation that that was not approved by me. Refusing to budge on this I did ask to speak to this gentleman supervisor who of course has the weekends off I left her a voicemail. If you ever disputed through your bank a charge that was not authorized then you know that they cancelled the card that they charges associated with. Now because it's the weekend and I can't get the temporary card I'm stuck. In addition to having no access to my account, this also means that I'm going to have to call any auto pay companies that I work with it use that card to let them know that that card has been cancelled and to update a new you card. So just as a recap, because the Valley Ho is not making their budget they would lose a customer make a customer very unhappy and cause undue work to the customer. If you don't want your card to get charged when you don't have a reservation don't go to the Valley Ho
Their pool is fantastic.

Was very disappointed with their restaurant. They advertise a dessert of the month, this month a unicorn ice cream. My friend (who likes unicorns) and I thought it would be fun to drive the 45 minutes to try it. When we arrived we were told they would have to check to see if they had the ingredients. They came back and said "no" but to come back the following month for the next dessert of the month. They didn't offer us a discount or anything. Just "sorry, come back next month". We drove 45 min so decided to stay and eat lunch. We waited 45 minutes for a hamburger that we were going to share (yes 45 minutes for 1 hamburger)...and then watched them bring out a unicorn ice cream dessert and deliver to someone else. :-/ Anyway, the hamburger wasn't that good and the fact that somehow someone else got the unicorn ice cream will probably haunt us forever.
Beautiful rooms, very modern feel to them. Outdoor access to room only. The reason I did not give 5 stars was that the sink drain was not draining properly, the bedside lamp wasn't working, and the sliding door to the toilet was off its rail and would not move. I did not apporach hotel staff about it as I was only staying in my room for 8 hours and was in a rush, I'm sure they would have compensated for it as the staff was extremely helpful and nice during my little interaction with them
This hotel has the friendliest greatest staff..they all deserve a raise. Came here to give a friend a relaxing day away from the world stress causes. The poolS are beautiful at night, was upgraded to a Double with a Patio ..the bar had the BEST STRONGEST mixed drinks. The place is absolute gorgeous. I travel around the world, Paris,Belgium, UK, etc.. and this hotel is by far one of the best hotels for value I ever been to. I heard it also has a history with Frank Sinatra which explains the classy look. A++ place..thank goodness I chose this hotel than the ones more Northern Scottsdale with double the price..this is much better!
Unicorn desert was delicious! My family and I are looking forward to the next magical desert! Also Judy the concierge is amazing!
Loved staying here! The bloody and mimosa bar for brunch was delish!!
Love the vintage look at this hotel. The room was very clean and modernized. The live DJ at the pool gives off a great vibe.
Stopped to visit a friend staying there. The room was super nice and the who place looked nice. Didn't stay so can't say much about pricing but looks expensive.
We love thid place
This was my first time here and it was fantastic! The staff was friendly from the valet to the front desk, cleaning and restaurant staff. My room was cozy with a patio and direct access to the lap pool. The mid-century modern theme was beautiful throughout the entire property. The restaurant had a broad menu that didn't disappoint. I can't say enough about the quality of this property. If you plan on visiting Scottsdale, this is the place to stay.
I was recently there and kicked out because they do not accept Visa as a Major Credit Card through Groupon. I booked the room through there partner, when I get there they said they no longer accept Groupon! The police were called and they would not give a refund or offer any resolution. Beware, I got overcharged also!
Nice place. Good room service. Pool and bar are great, but the bar closes at 5 or 6, just as the party should be getting started. Need to work on that
One of the most fun places we go. Think Mad Men when it comes to decor. Extremely friendly staff. Excellent restaurant and bar on site. Easy walk to other restaurants in Old Town Scottsdale. (Try Craft 64 just a block away for the best pizza around) It’s the only place we’ll stay when going to Scottsdale.
Mid century architecture fully restored to better than original. Every staff member we met was so friendly and helpful. The pools are splendid. The spa should not be missed.
Had a wonderful staycation at hotel Valley Ho! Good summer rates and excellent hamburger! Twenty dollars for parking is a bit too much when there's plenty of parking available.
A fun place to go visit when in downtown Scottsdale
Very nice, clean hotel with a sweet old-fashioned style to it. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Pool was refreshing!
A diamond in the rough. This place doesn't look too great from the outside, but it's really great. The rooms are nice and updated. They feel very high end. Great pool area with bar and poolside service. The staff is super friendly, professional, and there to help when you need them. I'd recommend this place for both business and leisure.
Interesting place with a lot of history. Been there since 1956 but of course remodeled several times. Nice piece of history in that area.Their restuarant was good. Especially for their famous milkshakes. They change them every 30 days and the strawberry one we had was really really good.
Great place. Will be back
I brought my sister here for a spa day when she was visiting. We had a wonderful massage and facial. The service was great, pool was quiet and we had wonderful service out there also. We would go again! It was a great day.
Great place with an awesome atmosphere. Perfect central old town Scottsdale location close to restaurants and entertainment. Two nice pools with one being an extreme party pool. Rooms were nice except we got ours next to a super busy intersection which was extremely noisy and made it hard to relax. One other negative was the soft mattresses that needed to be replaced or be more firm.
So into this place! What an awesome historical renovation that retains every bit of its midmod magic. Service was absolutely stellar my entire stay, and I particularly loved how easy it was to text for valet and other needs. My room was cozy and comfortable, and I loved the private patio. Location was great and walkable. Grounds were so pretty. Breakfast package was awesome. I was so impressed, and would definitely recommend and return!
It was a hot day and they made sure everyone had water.
As an MCM fan, this place has been modernized, but it's soul is intact.
Hotel Valley Ho is the greatest place in AZ! The hospitality is always great, the rooms are always clean and comfortable and relaxing. The pools have two different atmospheres, but really awesome. Highly recommend this facility to host your weddings or other events you may have. The staff is by far the BEST! you will ever be blessed with. Thank you Hotel Valley Ho for my reception held at the Sands in July 2016!
Had dinner at Zuzu. Great food.
Perfectly restored mid-century modern showplace in Old Scottsdale. The Zuzu Lounge has wonderful food, 50s era cocktails & a great Happy Hour until 7. We went for Arizona Restaurant Week and loved all the offerings, especially the 50% off wine menu. Service was very good too.
We stayed here and it was already problems. We loved the room, but they didn't accomdate the requests for arrival. The slide door for the bathroom was broken. So anyway.. day 2, nooobody is around and security calls and says there are complaints of our room. We were simply talking and laughing outside. The way they approached us was wild. Otherwise... the place is nice and close to fun areas in town.
We went for mothers day brunch. Food was decent, but not worth what they asked. Maybe Zuzu would have been better? Either way, I don't plan a return visit any time soon.
Nice looking rooms and services
Hey, its the 'Ho... Never a disappointment and the prime place for your 2018 summer staycation!
My husband and two kids (8 and 6) really enjoyed our stay last weekend at the Valley Ho! While I wouldn’t say this Hotel is geared towards children they were very gracious and kind and accommodating to my two kids. We even had the option of the quieter pool when the main pool got crowded during their DJ pool party! A special thank you to Judy (concierge) who truly saved the day when our babysitter was late; if she hadn’t offered to fill in we would have missed the ceremony!! Such a selfless and beautiful act of kindness After the fact and then that in accounting was very helpful and us disputing a charge! She made an awkward situation less so. Very professional!! Finally, Christina at the spa gives a killer massage ask for her when you book your appointment!! The rooms are clean and stylish with large open bathrooms and fantastic lighting. We really enjoyed our stay !
Went on an official tour of the hotel to learn about its history as it is an iconic representation of mid century modern design. Tour was very informative and cost $20. It took a couple hours to complete and you get to visit inside some rooms and the roof top (Which has stunning views Scottsdale) which you usually only get to see if you are part of a function booked up there. I didn't stay here as a guest but my friend did a couple years ago and raved about it. From what I could tell on the tour, this would be a cool establishment to stay it. Interesting history, nice decor, friendly and helpful staff, cool layout of the grounds. Very well located close to some great restaurants.
Hotel Valley Ho and the Zuzu bar was a refreshing top during my stay in Scottsdale. The bartender was a great guy who was friendly and easy to talk to. The service was fast, and the vibes were amazing. To top it off, I had the most AMAZING dessert. Instagram worthy, and not s bad deal. I highly recommend stopping here at their bar. I didn't stay as a hotel guest, but the pool looked like a blast!
This hotel was cheaper than all the other options in Scottsdale bur was amazingly great. They have 1950´s decor and the rooms were clean and large. Its also walking distance from everything in old town Scottsdale and the service was also attentive when I stayed here. Would highly recommend if you're looking for hotels in scotttadale, 5 stars.
Nice hotel (the rooftop was beautiful in the evening), with very friendly service - the layout of the hotel was a bit confusing/it looked like it had grown through lots of extensions vs. 1 clear layout plan.

I love this hotel. It's high-end, relaxing atmosphere and the rooms are so contemporary I love it. I had a minor complaint about the service at the pool and I received a response back from the Food & Beverage manager explaining that my concern would be addressed. That made me very happy and I will for sure be back.

Everything my party required was promptly supplied.
Staff was very nice. Kate was our server at the pool. She was absolutely wonderful! Facilities were well maintained, rooms clean and walk to downtown area was convenient!
One of the most stylish places. I adore the mid-century modern. Don Draper is just around the corner.
Room for improvement
Great pool with drink and lunch service!
Amazing mid-century renovation
Pricy but great. I purchased a day bed at the pool and had a great day. I did not have a room, but the pool was clear, large, and refreshing. Drinks and service were fabulous. I ended my day with dinner at the hotel restaurant Zuzu. Even though the restaurant was out of my price range the food was worth it, and delicious. The chef specialty desert was a cheesecake creme brulee and it was perfectly cooked and beautiful. Great place for a day-cation, and I will go back for a longer stay-cation in the future.
Room: We stayed in the Tower Signature Guest room with a view of the Camelback Mountain, and teeny balcony. We asked for a pool view and it was available, but as an upgrade. Unfortunately for me, I was expecting luxury and a "sweeping view". A staff member said to request floors 6 and up, and that our floor, 3rd, doesn't have the best views. Their "vintage inspired" was more contemporary imitation and the sliding doors were falling apart (HINT, make sure you take your cell phone in the bathroom in case you get stuck, this hint can save you a lot of time and anxiety). EVERY counter/desk/table had something for sale. If you like shopping in your room, this will work for you. I liked the lighting above the bath tub. Sleep quality: Bed was cozy. Shades let in light in the morning, so, it made sleeping in difficult. Air/heat good temperature control. Pool: We requested a day bed mostly in the shade and they said yes, they lied and gave us one mostly in the sun. We reserved a day bed because guests leave towels on their chairs, do not return, leaving no chairs if you get there after 11'ish, and staff do not enforce the 30 minute rule. I felt sad for the guests not being able to find a chair. There is a lot of activity in the big pool. Young children, splashing, throwing balls, and adults doing the same. A little rowdy and unpleasant when you get splashed and hit with balls all afternoon, and staff & management watching and doing nothing about it. We endured 2-days of the pool, and made quick friends with others evading this behavior, you know, you bond with others in a bad situation... SAFETY IS A CONCERN. I think the rowdy guests were not guests, but were friends of staff as they were hugging and chatting together. Mid-century: The only history I felt was in the oldies music. Food: Cafe Zuzu, plastic wobbly tables outdoors, but food was good, and be careful with the table as it might spill your drink. Pool service and food was hit and miss. Room service food was rich, and heavy, and there was no where to comfortably sit and eat in our room. We had a desk option with 1 chair, or coffee table with 2 chairs. Service: Every staff person was polite, and smiled, but no one delivered with our requests. Location: Smartly located by downtown Scottsdale. Overall: We wanted something different, and yes, we got different. I wanted to leave after our 3rd night (stayed 5 days/4 nights). We went to the airport early the last day, which we had never purposely done before.
Awesome place... Great Live Music !!!
Very clean. Good service. Love the atmosphere
An amazing hotel, with Incredible views and a very hip vibe! We attended a cocktail party Up on the Roof, and we're blown away with the sunset views of Phoenix and Camelback Mountain! Definitely a fun place to hang out with your friends!
I don't think I have any criticisms for this hotel, which is rare, because I can usually find something! We were impressed from the minute we stepped out of the uber, the valets were so friendly and helpful! We arrived long before check in time, and the front desk did a great job getting a room ready for us, and texted us when it was ready, still long before standard check in time. The location is great, a quiet neighborhood at the edge of old scottsdale, and within walking distance of great shops, galleries, museums and restaurants. Loved our room and the food at Zuzu. Loved the decor and landscaping throughout the property, and the ambient scent in the lobby is the icing on the cake for me! As you can see, I appreciate and notice the details! Thank you for a wonderful getaway, we'll be back!
Surprisingly exciting place to hold a fantasy baseball draft!
Fun, kitschy decor and bar area. Amazing mimosa and bloody Mary setup on weekends, practically a buffet!
Very good experience. I like the style, the room are really comfortable and we'll equipped.
This place is exactly what I do not like about Arizona. Pretentious people stay here and they kick people out for having a good time. They have a cool pool to sneak into
A great place for cocktails and hors d'oeuvres
Stayed here for two days.. great place. Loved the breakfast
2nd time staying. Cant get enough of that hotel!
Has a modern touch in the rooms. Pool scene is fun! Good location to Giants stadium, restaurants, and bars.
History and lore
Nostalgia and dreamy 50's decor makes for a true feeling of being 'away'... Food is served till late at the bar and is scrumptious! This is a quality pace - great service, nice atmosphere and delicious morsels. No need to be cautious! Jump in and find a cozy corner.. Yummmmmm
Nice place but a couple of issues. Parking is valet only (free, but I assume a tip would be somewhat obligatory). We went there for the restaurant and got one of the showstopper shakes. It was huge! My daughters could not finish it all. Rather than give us the option to take anything home, they just cleared it all. That was really disappointing. Lovely decor. Looks like it would be a fun place to hang out. I considered holding meetups there, but they want a large deposit.
Very nice place stayed in the executive room I believe. Was upgraded to this huge room by chance and it was very welcoming, huge porch that wrap around unit, big living room, master and big circle soaking tub, standing shower and dual sinks also has 2 bathrooms. Only bad thing is we stayed in the north side right up against Indian School road or a pretty busy one so that was a bit loud but there not too much they can do about that. We did have a parking lot right next to room but had to pay a parking fee when lot had barely anyone there also no street parking so valet or parking fee. Room had modern art and decor which was nice. Porch had many seating options across the deck. Nice place and staff.
The place smells bad and the rooms have low noise reduction. I could hear everything outside.
Staff is friendly and location is great with easy walking to downtown Old Scottsdale. The decor is a throwback to the 60's and it is difficult to tell if that decision has a purpose other than to be an excuse not to make updates to the establishment. Front lobby and bar/restaurant are very presentable, but look anywhere else and you'll see that they are just passing by. For the prices, I would expect a lot better. Maybe they are holding on to the prestige of being in Scottsdale.
Excellent stay centered in beautiful Scottsdale within walking distance to everything
Amazing hotel! Great location, retro decorated rooms, really fun lounge area. Fun atmosphere, would definitely recommend!!!
I stayed here one night for a conference. My room was large and the mid century flair was really cool. The bathtub was extra deep, the bed had a nice soft yet firm feel. bedding was plush. It rained the whole time we were here so it was a bit awkward getting from one spot to another outside. Staff here were very attentive and helpful. The gym is well stocked with modern work out equipment for full cardio and weightlifting training. Better than the gym where I train at home.
Love the Valley Ho!
Excellent food and service! The staff here has always been excellent but in the past the food has been so so. But this time every dish was good. The leek soup was amazing, very rich and I couldn't eat it all but delicious. They've changed their onion ring recipe but ask for the old skinny ones. They are happy to accommodate the request and they're much better than their new recipe. I don't know why restaurants take a great dish and change it for that worse. Over medium eggs and sausage were perfect, shrimp great and the person having the Benedict with avocado was very happy. Plus I love the 50's atmosphere and music. Keep it up, Zu Zu!
Really nice place! It was recently renovated. We were only there for drinks and food but want to go back
Nostalgic resort due to its history, good pool and gym. I will prefer a good Marriott or Sheraton in a similar price range. Staff is wonderful. Bathrooms need upgrade. Zu Zu restaurant is good but expensive. Awesome location with many wonderful art galleries and Restaurants in walking distance. Premium rooms have great scenic views.
Service and hotel is great
Very cool retro hotel, nice spa massage facilities.
NO place to park, can only Valet. LAST time I will ever go there
Cool, quirky place... Good food and service. I was there for breakfast and would go back if it was convenient.
Awesome vibe and great location in Scottsdale.
Unparalleled services for this discriminating Traveller, and I might add that I will be asking our Professional Services Group for my company, to look at the Valley for an opportunity to host our skip level meetings fair. Thanks to Josh for the quick tour. Warmest regards, much success to the Valley Ho! Sincerely D Gerald San Francisco California
My husband and I stayed here a couple months ago for a Mommy/Daddy getaway. We had such a great time and absolutely LOVED Valley Ho! We will for sure be back. Its hip, trendy, calm, yet lively at times and most of all, RELAXING! The staff is super friendly, its well located and the food is AMAZING!! We have been telling all of our friends and family about it.
Great retro atmosphere, clean rooms, great customer service. We visit yearly, and have been very impressed by the staff, especially Jeremy in Valet. He has always remembered our names, even from the first visit, and is very personable and helpful.
Great location. Very nice ambience
This is a great classic 1950s hotel. It is obvious the staff is proud of their beautiful buildings and they work to provide the classic service you would expect. The rooms are well appointed, from a bathtub complete with mood lighting to a wonderfully comfortable bed.
This place is wonderful. Beautifully appointed, decorated for the season. The staff is accommodating, Luis at the front desk is a great resource, always smiling. Easy walk to shops, galleries, tons of restaurants. Go to the VALLEY HO!
Amazing service with great drinks
Great preserved/restored mid-century aesthetic!
Gorgeous Gorgeous Gorgeous OH AND GORGEOUS ????????
Excellent property maintaining its mid century design roots with a more modern touch. Off peak rates are very affordable. I would recommend the non tower rooms facing the lap pool as the main tower would likely be a bit noisy on busy pool days during the summer months. Overall excellent stay, HOWEVER, there was one major glaring issue (minor to everyone else but I’m a designer, so it is bizarrely off key compared to all the other perfectly manicured grounds and design details)...PLEASE cover the tacky Home Depot branded water containers at each pool. (See photo below). A simple sticker with your logo on it or a metal container that fits over top will be ideal. Very strange oversight. If it’s not changed by the time I revisit next year, I can bring some decal stickers with your logo on it, just let me know. ;)
Very trendy hotel with clean and stylish rooms. Only bummer was paying $18 to use a not very full parking lot. I would think for the price of the hotel that they could just give us a free tag if we want to park in the lot. Otherwise, a great experience.
Nice place . Bar nice restaurant needs work
My frozen drink by the pool was hardly drinkable. The ice in the drink was snow cone consistency instead of smoothly blended. Wouldn't normally complain but they were pushing the frozen drinks as a special that day.
I loved my day at the spa, no bells and whistle, very plain, but my facial was outstanding. The use of the pool and fitness center was very good, clean and great service. The staff is also very professional
Rented a cabana for the day. The staff was super friendly, and very attentive. The pool menu could certainly be expanded, but the essentials were sufficient. The decor is great! Really felt like I was taken to a retro time period.
Real slow service
What a FANTISTIC experience!! I had 2 different massages with 2 different therapist - both were over the top great!! They know what they are doing!! Great facilities!
60's vibe indoor /outdoor space. Food was okay, wine list typical.
Lots of Mad Men ambiance. Pricey.
Great hotel, conveniently located in Scottsdale, walking distance to most things.
I hate to write a bad review but due to the customer service it should be known! I recently just stayed here and did not have the best experience. The rooms were newly renovated however they still had an old motel feel. I guess you get what you pay for! At the front desk/concierge I did not have the best experience either. Whoever was assisting me did not seem to be very happy about their job. She was quite rude in a "trying so hard to be nice" tone. The bar staff was not very friendly either and acted like I was a burden. Next time I'm in Scottsdale I will think about staying elsewhere.
Staff very friendly and courteous; room ok.
Beautiful building. A must see for both visitors and residents of Arizona.
Zuzu was a fantastic experience with good service and great food.
If I ever get another date...he's taking me here. So beautiful!
Very nice but difficult to locate rooms
Nice low key hotel for a girls staycation. It's very trendy due to its location, but families were also here. The problem is that the pool is tiny and therefore kids and adults are on top of each other. But the rooms were fine and the grounds very pretty. I can see doing a romantic weekend here...oh wait, my spouse hates hotels. :(
Loved our Pineapple Enzyme facials on Sunday, ladies day out along with pool time. Our faces were glowing and smelled so delicious! This was my second ladies spa day, after trying it through Groupon first! Now, we have a 3rd date planned for the end of the month! The Estiticians are phenomenal as well! Always love the warm robe when I get done!
Very neat, retro feel. Service was excellent and so was the food. I was attending a conference and I'd say the event services are some of the best I've ever seen at area hotels.
Nice place.for brunch
We were accommodated according to our needs and our stay was pleasant.
I love this hotel! My girlfriend and I have been coming here for years. We have celebrated numerous birthdays and met friends here year after year. Cool retro vibe and just a great place to relax. Unfortunately, we probably won't stay here again. We came in from Tucson to stay the weekend and as typically happens during the summer the hotel is not busy... but I have a problem paying $18 per night for parking when there is no demand for parking. The parking charge then becomes a BS charge. To bad, they lost me over $18 per night :(
Amazing pool with great wait staff. Rooms were very nice.
Very nice hotel with wonderful aesthetic.
Wonderful duet Saturday night entertainment!
The location was in Scottsdale and everything was very clean. The employees were very friendly and accomadating. We had dinner at the room and the food came pretty quickly and was delicious.
Room smells a little funny. Room service coulfnt tell ehat size Coke products they had. And the tv is hard to work. Other then thst it is a beautiful retro hotel.
Friendly, helpful staff. Thought the food was a bit overpriced.
Classic hotel with lots of great updates. Bar and restaurant has a great selection. Only complaint is that parking is not easy to find. You're best bet is to park on the street if you're a local
This is a super excellent hotel that designed it's interior with much respect to the buildings age. The rooms are lovely as are the grounds and the pools. Great eating near by and great food to order to your room. Softest pool towels ever, too.
Went to meet with some friends, had a few drinks. Place is well lit and great atmosphere
Marc Simmons, E.
This place is incredible! Great accommodations, amenities, had everything I needed in one place.
Food was decent at ZaZa. Decor is cool. Staff was nice.
This boutique Hotel is classically chic. The lobby flows into the restaurant and bar area offering large windows with great light Great pool party on Sundays around old town Scottsdale.
Enjoyed listening to the fabulous , soulful jazz performed by Khani Cole in the chic Lounge with Lene Dahl Pope and Ronald Pope
Best massage of my life! I wish I could take them back to Texas!!! Great, friendly service from all of the staff. Will definitely be back!!
Great service, beautiful grounds, loved my night there
Great service! Our waitress was attentive, efficient, welcoming and friendly. I enjoyed the Sunday brunch with the Bloody Mary and Mimosa bar. The food was excellent also and served up quickly.
Cute decor and very responsive service.
Fun poolside atmosphere, great food and spa!
Great food and service.
One of the best hotels I've stayed at. Service was great, room was clean, and pool party was fantastic. The only bump was how someone was able to charge 40$ worth of drinks to our room, however, the concierge was easily able to fix it. Will be coming back without a doubt.
My friend got a suite on the fourth floor and the room was amazing. The decor was really cool and the bathroom was gorgeous. The valets were super friendly and quick. We spent the morning at the pool and the pool service was excellent. There were a lot of people at the pool and they were able to take care of everyone. The staff was top notch, service was excellent, and everything was clean. I would highly recommend staying there.
Such an eclectic and great hotel. Loved the ambience. Service was superb. Pool area was a fun party spot. Blake with Valet went above & beyond with professional courtesy and friendliness Front desk staff was always helpful.
Cafe Zuzu is a consistently great restaurant! Wonderful for breakfast.
Saturday's pool parties. Awesome.
Suites are amazing, valet parking is $18 per night before tax. You can park a block away to avoid this. Walkable to downtown to party.
I was visiting the pool since it is open to the public. It's odd that the pool is locked and you have to wait for a guest to come open it. The service was great.
I've been coming here for a few years. It is my favorite stay-cation location. I love the rooms and the ambiance. I also love the pool scene. We have a company party every year here poolside.
Everything was on point.
Enjoyed an event on the roof top. Amazing view and experience!
Met some friends at the pool for the day. Great atmosphere with a nice outdoor bar next to the pool and waiters walking around too taking food and drink orders.
Love the architecture and mid century period decor.
Went with 4 friends for drinks. Drinks were good, but our first round did take 30 minutes to arrive after ordering.
A fun hotel and environment. The massage therapists are some of the best in the valley!
Old school property. Great location and large rooms.
Hotel was clean, staff was super helpful. I wanted to say how much we loved Taylor, She gave us a shuttle ride to Old Town Scottsdale, and she was such a joy to be with for that short distance. All the staff members were very courteous, but Taylor really stood out on our short trip. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
I have always loved the Valley hotel property. As a local Scottsdale event planner, I have booked countless meetings and guest rooms. Over the past 5 years I have spent well over $100,000. I had scheduled a spa day for my best friend and I for her birthday. After I pulled into the parking lot spot, my vehicle was hit by one of their landscapers racing by in his cart. The driver tried to pass on my passenger door side and clipped it with his cart, continued to drive dragging my door and causing over $4,000 in damage. Not only did we miss our spa appointments, but I was stuck there to handle everything on my own with the police, the landscaper that didn’t speak English and a security guard who didn’t say a word. No one at the hotel offered any assistance and they are now REFUSING to pay for the damages, even after I have a detailed police report from the scene. This is certainly not the kind of customer service I was expecting from a 4 star property. I certainly wouldn’t be getting this type of service from any of their competitors down the street. From this point on, I will never book another meeting, send another customer, or recommend this hotel to anyone. I hope this $4,000 dispute was worth all of this business to them.
Best 5 star hotel in Scottsdale. Great retro feel and friendly staff
The event, Cocktail Carnival, was a hit. Tons I'd people attended the poolside event to imbibe upon cocktails from numerous brands.
I haven't stayed here, BUT I did have breakfast here and walked around quite a bit. It is a wonderful, lovely place - I'd love to stay here. Staff are quite friendly and helpful. The neighborhood is great - lots of places to walk and near other places to eat, shop, walk around, etc. I'm lobbying for the family to go here for Christmas. Ho! Ho! Ho! Let's go to the Valley Ho! Okay, that's already wearing a little thin, but the place is great!
Went for a quick lunch at the bar. Was very yummy.
Hotel Valley Ho is amazing!! The rooms are fantastic, totally love the tubs! They have a great spa onsite with discounts from time to time. They also have very yummy room service! BEST PART they are dog friendly you just have to let them know you're bringing your pet!
Raul Paul S.
The hotel is great, but it's still older and I felt as if I was a nuisance. I left as quickly as I could!
Eclectic with great service. Staff was very friendly and the rooms have great indoor and outdoor spaces.
Very nice accommodations. Great place for our corporate event.
Boutique hotel..reminds me of California hollywood hotels. Nice lounge, entertainment on weekends.
Want a great place for a weekend getaway? Can't beat the Valley Ho. Great Old Town Scottsdale location. Close to great restaurants and bars. Great pool scene. Modern with a 50s vibe. Had the best ever birthday weekend. Everyone on the staff was excellent.
Very nice place. Bartenders were excellent and attentive.
The food and atmosphere were amazing. The waiter however... Not great. Polite enough, but clearly wasn't all that interested in our group. I wouldn't skip it because of that however. I was there for brunch. Our table had three different menu items, all of which were great.
I was just at a party, it was tight
Cool & Hip, Excellent, Fun, Classy, Colorful,Tons of character, amazing design, Caring entire staff, If you want an amazing location, pride of the hotel shining thru, Poolside spectacular... This is your home away from Home.... This is not the big box 5 star standards, ritz , four seasons, etc This is 100% better.... This heaven just makes you smile and happy all day and night long....Aimee Quaratino Denver Resident...
Wife and I stayed here for a night on our honeymoon and it was great! The room was amazing, wife loved the soaking tub, the food and drinks were a little on the pricey side but were so good. I wish we spent more then 1 day here. Will For sure be back when we come back from Minnesota.
The Hotel Valley Ho is my favorite place to stay in Phoenix. HVH is the first year round hotel in Phoenix and has just celebrated their 60 year anniversary Dec 20th. The staff is super friendly and very helpful all of the time. The accommodations are a cool retro mid century modern design. The bathtubs in the rooms are awesome. Huge sliding glass doors that give tons of light, a great view of the property along with some excellently dark curtains for sleeping in after a fun night in Scottsdale. The pools are a really fun spot to hang out too.The VH Spa has a great gym and nice sauna; it's a small facility but don't let that take away from the great experience you can have - great menu of treatments to choose from. I live here in Phoenix and this is the place I would stay if I were vacationing to the Valley.
It's well kept and the staff do a good job

Cool, unique hotel. Well designed rooms, great use of space.
I had a 60 minute massage at the VH spa. It was amazing and everyone was super professional.
Beautiful property and close to everything in old Town Scottsdale. Pool was very busy. Amazing rooms. We will be back!

Gem of a hotel, very cool and cozy. Loved it will return
Just dropped someone off and valet was very kind and opened the door for the lovely lady
Great rooms and staff. Love the eclectic furniture and design
The cleanest place i have ever stayed at and the bathrooms were put together beautifully
It was beautiful, clean and a great location!
Spa was relaxing
Had a staycation here recently and it was so much fun! The hotel has great amenities and a great location. The rooms were super clean and modern while still having an amazing mid century feel. Room service wasn't too bad of a price and the pool was awesome. On Sunday's the bar at the pool has a bunch of $6 cocktails to choose from. My waitress kept me hydrated for hours. I would definitely recommend this place!
Our room was amazing with an awesome tub and mid-century modern decor. Can't speak for the food but had a Manhattan at the bar and it was superb. The main pool is a fun place and it is more of an adult pool so thankfully it's never been overrun with kids. The staff is all super nice and helpful and all around genuine people. Come here and you will not be disappointed.
My experience: The valet people are great. The front desk people are good. The restaurant people are okay. The beds are good and the pillows are nice. The soaps and stuff all smell and perform AMAZINGLY and I bought some full sized versions for myself. My dad doesn't like them because they smell like roses. I HATE the bathrooms. The doors don't lock and the walls are frosted glass so whoever is in the main room can see very detailed silhouettes of whoever is in the bathroom, which I imagine would be fun if one were traveling with their spouse or partner. However, I travel for business with my dad and we share a room because it's cheaper. I always wait until my dad has fallen asleep before I shower so that I can have the remotest amount of privacy. I can't stress how much I hate it. The fitness center is well equipped for a hotel. I've heard the spa is good.
Great place for a staycation, they have great summer deals and the staff is always friendly. I love their pool and of course cafe zuzu!
Wonderful place to stay. Good food, great room, and awesome service.
Pool was fantastic and drinks were cheap/delicious
Great atmosphere.. Pool is amazing
Really enjoyed every single aspect of the stay!
Bought a Groupon and had a great massage after a delicious lunch at ZuZu
this was my first time making a massage at a hotel, and I have to say it was an EXCELLENT experience I would go back to this location and refer friends to go . Pool area is nice hotel is beautiful! Massage therapist was so nice and had hands of an angel!
Played a wedding here. Great location, great service. The whole event was very well executed.
Team was very professional . Great location
Great party hotel, some of the front desk are crazy strict. Love the hotel the front desk is something to be desired.

Nice rooms. The pool was dirty though
Love this hotel. Fun decor and atmosphere without being over the top. Comfortable rooms and friendly staff. Great central location but still get peaceful privacy as needed. Would definitely visit again
I met some friends at the valley ho for brunch. The staff was courteous and friendly. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. I was thrilled at the lack of feral wolves and raccoons on the premises. Great place for brunch. Terrible place if you're a French fur trapper from the 1800's.
Had our wedding there this month on the rooftop overlooking camelback moutains The Valley Ho staff provided Superior Service our wedding coordinator Cassidy was the best!!! She was always available for any of our needs. The day of the wedding went off without a hitch a lot of this was due to Cassidy's proactive planning and superb organizational skills. The food service and bar staff we're very attentive to all of our guests needs they were always available for whatever we needed. They even notice that my wife didn't get to try some of the dishes available so they packed up to go variety of some for menu items and had it delivered to our room so we can have a snack later.Chef hosted an awesome tasting also prior to event was very open to changes and request!!!! He provided us with some great options!!! I would highly recommend the Valley Ho for any event!!!!
I have had massages at the VH Spa in the past, my first massage ever was actually at VH while visiting on vacation and staying at the hotel. Since, I have moved to Arizona and I enjoy coming back to the spa for treatments. I had the new stone massage "rock & roll", which is far more than just "hot stones" lying on your skin. The therapist uses them as tools and modalities to your massage. It was extremely relaxing and the heat just penetrated right to the muscle. I will definitely do this style again, hopefully it's not just a temporary special!! My therapist - Kerry was excellent! It isnt always easy to find a skilled therapist who also makes your feel comfortable and relaxing (doesn't talk too much and doesn't make it awkwardly silent). Kerry's primary focus was ME and making sure I got the most benefit out of my session with her. Again truly surprised at the quality of the therapist especially since I booked last minute :)
Hotel is great, staff is friendly and helpful. Facilities are up to date and clean. A hotel I would certainly stay at again.
Large rooms...Nice outdoor space with every room with a chaise lounge and table to get work done.
We attended the Arizona Cocktail Week events, and fell in love with the Valley Ho. The facilities were beautiful, and the quick bite in the lounge was phenomenal!
It was perfect
I love, love and love this hotel! We recently stayed here for training and I fell in love with the rooms, the smell and the atmosphere. We had massages as well and I have to say it was one of the best I have had! Clean and very friendly & helpful staff!
This is one of my favorite hotels anywhere. The staff is fantastic, the food is well better than average, and the rooms are beyond comfortable! We had a "cabana" room and the giant floor to ceiling windows let in all the Arizona sun we could have wanted, the well furnished patio overlooking the pool was beyond relaxing. All the room furnishings were incredibly comfortable as well including the bed. We loved our two night stay so much we booked a third night at the tail end of our trip and came back to Scottsdale a night early from Tucson. They didn't have any room available when we tried to book that third night, but when one came available due to a cancellation they called us and booked us in right away. Excellent customer service. We'll be back. No question.
Vintage Mid-Century Class! To the large rooms with good size balcony's and views of the pool. To the very accommodating and friendly staff this place is a gem in the heart of Scottsdale. This beautifully re-gentrified hotel that was inspired by Frank Loyd Wright and has been brought back its 1950's luster. I enjoy this style of architecture and have never stayed in a place with this type of style. I felt like Frank Sinatra would would show up at the pool at any second. I truly enjoyed staying here and I would recommend it to anyone looking to relax in Scottsdale or to party by the pool. Very cool place!
Enjoyed the experienece, quite relaxing, I felt pampered, had a great therapist.
I had one of the best days at your spa. Checked in early to relax in the comfortable Ladies Lounge. Everyone on staff was helpful and very friendly. I received the hydrating facial and felt so at peace and refreshed afterwards. I look forward to returning again.
Check out my videos on youtube. Nice hotel and great staff first off. I just didnt have the best luck here. Hotel is everything it puts itself out there to be. I can imagine this is quite the party spot on the right weekend. As for my stay my safe in the room did not work as well as the A/C was not cooling the room very well. I asked to change rooms and they put me in the very back of the complex. The new rooms also did not have a large TV like the first room (first room had a 50 inch or so). I also noticed there were a lot of bugs in the room. Beds were also nothing fancy. Bottle of water in the room was 4 bucks...in Phoenix?! So then when I go to leave to get drinks the vallet gives me a free one? I might stay here again, it was not a bad experience and there staff is excellent. The location is also fantastic as it is in very close proximity to Old Town Scottsdale. I would say its walking distance. The hotel just didnt wow me thats for sure. Hope that helps, helpful votes are appreciated. Thanks!
My friend and I both took a spa treatment and we both LOVED it. the service, the actual massage, the place, the extra hot bathrobes etc. Do recommend it..
Disrespectful staff I've stayed here 2 times but due to the inadequacy of the staff I will not again. I have had better service at a circle k. The white male manager is quite rude and the maid service wasn't the best. I DO NOT recommend!!!!
This place is disgusting, this guy working at the hotel stopped my kids and tried to touch them while they were at the pool! Also, when i was walking to my room (which is around the pool area) a man stopped me and asked me if i was actually staying here, he was a rich snob and apparently didn't think i looked wealthy enough to really stay there. The bathrooms had roaches everywhere, and my kids were screaming when they saw a small mouse in the bathroom. This place us not ok, never even thinking about staying here again.
I highly recommend Howard. I have been getting massages for decades and this was definitely in my top favorite of all time massages. I will definitely go back to him!

This is a Scottsdale MUST!! The service was outstanding, clean rooms, delicious food from the Zu-Zu restaurant and beautiful ambiance everywhere you turn. I highly recommend the Terrace Suite Patio.
Very hip hotel near old town Scottsdale. It always reminds me of being in vegas when I am near the Valley Ho pool. Music playing, lot's of energy, drinks flowing. The rooms are very contemporary and fun. Restaurants are really good. Prices are reasonable considering the location.
Staff was friendly, warm, cordial including manager, concierge, maids and Alvin who made our meal very special and memorable. The service was excellent. A fork was dropped on the floor and picked up in 10 seconds and replaced in 20! We have stayed in many fine hotels in the world and this is one of the tops.
The resort was really had good facilities, elegant rooms and nice pool. The patio was really nice to hang out with friends and have a good conversation. The bar and the restaurant has it good collection of wine and great menu.
Hotel Valley Ho is a Phoenix version of the movie Somewhere In Time. It's like stepping into the 60's. You expect Bing Crosby or Tony Curtis to be sipping a martini with you in the Zu Zu bar! While they wait on Zsa Zsa Gabor to join them. Except it's nicer. The 60's never had it so good! All the current and greenest technology is at your beck and call. ... and so is the wonderful staff, many of whom look as though they stepped out of LOOK magazine.
I really enjoyed my recent 3 night stay. I had a couple of teenagers that enjoyed it as well, especially with the free wi-fi and the late hours in the pool area. The salt water pool was nice though it can fill up with posers trying to be seen more than actually relaxing and having a good time. I loved the giant sliding glass doors and the very generously sized private patio. Too bad it was too warm to keep the doors open. I'd come back again for the location and kitchy theme. My only complaint was the cleaning staff, they were adequate but I wouldn't put them at a 4 star level.
Very excited as soon as I step foot on this place. The facilities are great and I really enjoyed my stay last week! That 2 day/1 night experience was a blast! :)
This was the nicest room I've ever stayed in. Granted, I don't travel a lot but I was just blown away by the size and layout of the rooms. The outdoor space and cabana curtains were great. The bathtub!! It was absolutely amazing. The landscaping all around was beautiful as well. I would love to stay here again in the future!
