BLACK WOMEN BEWARE!!!!!! purchased a laser hair removal package and finished about 7 treatments. 1) laser is not safe to use on dark skin (esthetician confirmed). You will not see results. Please check owners past lawsuit. Furthermore, it was hard to get an appt. And get them on the phone. Ladies do your research. Crooked business/ unprofessional/outdated office!

Also had a Groupon experience here. It was 6 treatments, but the machine went down and had to be shipped to Florida for repair on my last one, which took weeks without an estimate of time for a new appointment. I was finally told I couldn't get a reimbursement or any assistance because of my "super awesome Groupon rate" needless to say they were hard to deal with, always late on appointment times, and I have no relief of my unwanted facial hair. Steer clear of this place is my only suggestion.

LaWanda does a great job & I only go to her for sugar waxing! She’s quick, fun to talk to, & it always makes the time go by fast. The room is always clean & relaxing. The manager Greg is very friendly, & his dog Belle is always fun to see too!

The owner was very attentive as well as the estheticians. Everything was so nice and I felt like I never wanted to leave. I received the green tea facial and noticed the difference in my skin!

My appointment was for 1030 no one was at the office all lights out. Had to call their call center to be told they had to leave a message. Went in for a botox lip flip. Injections when uncomfortable, and I've not seen a noticeable change.

DO NOT GO HERE. Horrible, horrible place. I did three out of six sessions of laser hair removal — I stopped going when Greg ruined my ankle tattoo and left scars on my leg with the laser, and when I realized they weren’t up on current research regarding timing between sessions for peak effectiveness. I have been asking for a refund for my unused sessions, and restitution for the damage to my tattoo and ankle (for which I sought medical treatment), since early December, and have yet to receive it. Absolutely no regard for clients or their well-being.

EDIT: in case anyone is curious, as of the owner's response 3 months ago, I still receive 1 marketing email from them every single week.
I can't really speak to the quality of the appointment. I think it was fine, it was several years ago. The main thing I want to say is be really sure you want to receive their emails for the rest of your life. I hit unsubscribe on every email I received for years and sent personal emails requesting to be removed. I've received replies saying they have removed me from their list, but without fail I receive regular emails from them. At this point, I have it marked as spam and automatically blocked, but it's really obnoxious and I've never had this issue with any other mailing list. So, be prepared.

I find the lack of professionalism and lack of organization at a medical spa extremely alarming and the gratuity extremely unprofessional. You shouldn’t have to tip for medical cosmetic procedures and you certainly shouldn’t feel pressured to tip on poor service which they almost always deliver. Mistakes are made a lot and there is always an excuse, usually it’s “so and so did it and she doesn’t work here anymore.” (I’ve heard multiple names) of previous employees thrown under the bus and I can say from experience the flavor of the week is not the problem, it is the facility and the owner whom blames his ex employees to cover for his poor management of his business. I purchased two Groupon’s with them so I’ve been waiting a long time to post this review, I don’t think I finished my treatments but gave up after my last apt. was cancelled out of the blue which happens often here. I did laser hair removal and microdermabrasion. I did not get results from either but I have nothing to compare it to so I don’t know what I was to expect and can’t give a fair grade on treatments. I do get cosmetic injections like Botox and my first round of lip filler and I have to say based on the disorganization and their inability to take responsibility for their mistakes and prevent them I would not let them near my face with a needle I would be so afraid they would mess me up. It’s a well kept very nicely decorated med spa and the staff is very nice so I hate having to be so negative but that doesn’t make up for the rest of it. Hope this helps.

I had microdermabrasion and a glycolic peel done by Aesthetician Ruby, she is so knowledgeable and such a sweet person. Very good prices and great professional service. If you come ask for Ruby! I am definitely coming back for more treatments .

Took my daughter for a service and they were so sweet & kind to her and eased her nerves right off the bat. She left feeling relaxed and comfortable. Great bedside manner, extremely personable! I bought a Groupon for 3 Brazilian waxes. First wax you could tell the girl was inexperienced, it took longer than normal (over an hour) the girl was nice though. Set up second appointment that day before I left, so 6 WEEKS before the day. Comes that week they are reminding me and asking me to confirm appointment. Comes the day I’m 10 mins early for my time come in and the lady ask for my ID. I told her I would have to go to the car to get it. Mind you they got a copy of my ID the first time I came. So I come back and there is another lady who came in as I left I guess. The lady at the desk scan my ID and said they’ll be with me. 5 minutes later (at my appointment time) calls the other lady back. I waited 45 mins and then I walked out. They called me when I was leaving asking me to come back in but I didn’t want to. I had an appointment 6 weeks ahead of time and I was there on time !!!! No way someone should of went ahead of me. And if she had the same appointment time as me you should of ask me for a different time or something. I don’t like to waste my time I have other things i have to do that why I schedule at that certain time. Be courteous of people’s time. You wouldn’t want me coming in 40mins later still expecting service. Mean while I did not get two of my waxes. Won’t be returning.

I had a Groupon, so I guess I wasn't that important I walked in and really was not that impressed, but I had a nice girl that was going to do a facial, the rooms are not dated and was a little uncomfortable, about anyway, the nice young lady was getting me ready and I guess the owner knocked on the door and she said well I'm with a client, she went on to tell me that he wanted her to stop what she was doing because a gentleman had wanted it another procedure done and he didn't like to do that some kind of waxing. I thought that was very rude to interrupt my session. She was going to use some kind of ultra thing and said all my necklaces had to come off because it will affect the procedure the metal and I told her my health condition and she was going to ask if that health condition would affect the procedure in any way, so while I'm waiting I was really scared thinking they were really not going to be able to do it because I had a stent 20 minutes waiting I got dressed and was just going to leave I was very upset and when she came in, she said she was so sorry but her boss made her do that waxing I couldn't believe it I was sitting there nervous about what was going to happen to me and because the owner didn't want to do the procedure he had her do that procedure while I waited in that room. I felt like a... And I guess people that are paying more money are more important than new customers it was just a rude experience and I would never go back there.

I absolutely adore this place, it's well priced, it may be a little smaller and less "fancy" than other med spas, but I have been to med spas in the Chesterfield valley and I still come back to this facility because they do an incredible job and I can spend half the money and get incredible results I get BOTOX here all the time and they find ways to get botox to reduce the wrinkles in my lifelines without having to pay for filler, in addition to always having brilliant distinction points take money off of my final payment.

My experience was heaven. I was treated by Ms. Carmen Triguero. She is a nurse practitioner by trade. She was perfect. Injected me with Botox. I didn’t feel a thing, and there was no bleeding. She had a great bedside manner. I’ve had injections in LA where Botox injections specialists are supposedly the best, but nothing in LA can compare to Ms. Triguero. She is superlative. The rest of the staff was professional and courteous. I highly recommend .

I went there over 7 years ago and had a horrible experience. The service was overpriced and the person was under qualified. Ever since my 1 visit, I have been badgered with emails. Every single time, I have asked to be removed from their marketing database. The emails stop for a few months and then start up again as they refuse to stop contacting me. Their most recent email requested that I post a review about them on Google. Well, here is my review. People, do not EVER sign up for anything with them as they will haunt you to the grave and most likely sell your information to the highest bidder. I would give negative stars if I could. There are plenty of reputable spas to go to in St Louis but this is not one of them so don’t waste your money.

I used to frequent this place years ago when a lady named Sue did waxes here. I went back a few months ago after having a scheduled appointment and waiting for almost an hour because my wax lady had called off. For the inconvenience they offered me addition wax services for around $270 I paid up front and had a horrible experience with one lady, start seeing another lady who was sweet but she was pressing down so hard on my skin she was pulling off my skin and hair. I went in to show the office what was happening while I was still raw and bruised from the wax. The owner said other women had complained about the same issue and they had terminated the girl I told them I just wanted my refund because I no longer wanted any services from them as I had given them multiple chances to redeem themselves. They agreed to give a full refund, that was a month and a half ago still no refund and I’ve called them multiple times no answer. I’m just going to dispute it with my AMERICAN EXPRESS but please do not go here service is horrible

AVOID THIS PLACE. I went here years ago because I got a Groupon. The aesthetician was horribly inexperienced and did a total hack job on my Brazilian. She couldn’t get the wax off and I was in so much pain. I had to go somewhere else to get the wax off... and then wait for my ripped skin to heal.
They’ve also refused to stop contacting me. Even though I’ve unsubscribed and also told them via the phone to stop contacting me, I randomly still get emails and today even got a text message from them which is what prompted this review. Do yourself a favor and go ANYWHERE else that will respect your time & space/contact info.
Edit: even after the owner responded below saying they’d remove me from contact lists, I was contacted yet again today SEVEN MONTHS LATER. Jeez
Another edit: It's been another year, and I just started getting spammed by them again, two emails in 2 days so far. This is after calling and being spoken to that my email would be personally removed as well as the response to the review I posted here that id never be contacted again. I edited my original one start review to reflect my newest experience. After leaving my 1 star review I was quickly contacted by the manager. They offered me another facial to make things right. Unfortunately I don't live in the area so it took me a while to make it down but I finally did this past weekend and I'm so thankful I did. The facial was excellent. Ruby did a great job, she was attentive and friendly. I was relaxed and enjoyed my time and left with beautiful, glowing skin, something I can't say often. I really appreciate how Clayton Med Spa went above and beyond to make it right. Not many places have great customer service anymore but they clearly take pride in their customers experiences. Would now recommend.

Omg! Ali burned me very bad. I told her the wax was too hot. I even asked why she didn’t use Sue’s method (a previous,more gentle technician). As I prepare to leave the country 4 days later, today I’m calling the doctor to be treated for a non stop itching and open sores Brazillian- VERY disappointed. In addition, I had to wait 30 minutes past my appt time to be called back. AND they charged my card additional monies without my permission, for reasons unknown- I left a cash tip- which I wish I could get back!

DO NOT buy any services from Clayton Med Spa!
I bought three IPL photofacials via Groupon back on Mar 6, 2019 and was able to use 2 out of 3. Every time I try to book my third appointment, it gets cancelled on the same date or the day before due to some "leaking, calibration, broken machine, etc". So far I got three(!) cancellations on June 13, Aug 20, and Oct 8 and it looks like fraud scheme selling 3 services and doing just two.
I reported the Clayton Med Spa to the Groupon and the Groupon kindly refunded me for the third unused visit, but that was not their fault.
I'm going to report the Clayton Med Spa to BBB and to all social media possible.

Director is not professional. Laser machine is not working most of the times. The package of 6 sessions that I had paid for two years ago didn’t finish yet because of the machine that is not working. I did so far half of the sessions.

Terrible! I would never go back here! Got the laser treatment done for spider veins in my legs and they ended up being way worse than before I got it! A year and a half later and I still look like I have bruises on my legs! Not to mention, he did not use any numbing cream...with a laser! It was excruciatingly painful! I used my own numbing cream on the 2nd treatment. Very unprofessional! Definitely would not recommend. Go somewhere where people actually know what they're doing!

This place has cheap prices (probably because of Groupon choices) but is very unprofessional. I showed up for an appointment last week and was told they couldn’t see me because the machine is broken. They texted the wrong person to notify me not to come. Today I showed up for my rescheduled appointment and again was told the machine was still broken and was not notified. The director chose to leave for vacation while this is occurring. Very poor management here and advise spending your money elsewhere.

I bought a Groupon for 6 laser hair treatments, for a large area, at Clayton Medspa. When I called to make the appointment the woman on the phone said I only needed to buy a medium area(for my bikini), so I suggested I’d be interested in just doing a larger area in the same area as my bikini (NOT BRAZILIAN). She said that was fine.
I was directed to arrive early at 8:45. because my apt was at 9:00. A woman waiting outside for the door to open, she worked there started talking to me about how the director complains to them about being late but he isn’t even on time?
When I went in to get the paper work the girl who I spoke to on the phone, when I made my apt, no longer worked there.
Even though I bought a large area they wouldn’t apply it to do a slightly larger part of my bikini area... they said I had to purchase an additional $299 of services if I wanted just to do the Brazilian. But I didn’t WANT the Brazilian... I just wanted them to do the ENTIRE bikini line. The area was supposed to be 2in out and the area that was completed was hardly 1in. Also, the top of your bikini line is NOT considered part of your bikini area!!!!
They offered to do a small area (top of my big toe instead). I accepted since they pretty much gave me no choice??
When I asked about some aftercare the director brought the woman who did my procedure in and spoke to me as if he was inconspicuously belittling her in front of me. You could tell the employees didn’t get along with the director. It was like walking on EGGSHELLS between them all.
I felt so uncomfortable that it made me consider my Groupon as a loss... The facility clearly has some underlying issues going on & I almost feel the need to check them on BBB.

Customer service is horrendous from the front desk to the medical director.
Example: after a few visits I called to inquire about a service offering. About a minute into the call, the receptionist says, 'i need to call you back, I have an irate client in my waiting room.' Of course my call was never returned! I imagine the irate customer was treated poorly like me as well!
A later visit brought on bait and switch pricing and when I complained about that I was ignored. (Apparently they don't care about getting bad reviews either!)
Whatever you might save here, it ain't worth it!

Worst customer service experience I've ever had. I called to use the 2nd half of my Groupon the receptionist/office manager STACY tells me that I don't have a group on file and that there's nothing to redeem.I asked her to investigate she refused this went on for about 10 to 12 minutes after this she finally took a look and she found it. I had been telling her for 12 minutes that it was 1 there. She got even more upset, irate and disrespectful and refused to let me schedule an appointment without me giving her my credit card even though I had already paid with my Groupon. I ask to speak to someone else she refused I ask for refund she refused. I refused to give her my credit card because I would never give someone my credit card that was as angry and rude as her. So she hung up the phone and now I don't have my service and I don't have my money. Worst customer service ever!!

I’m not sure what those other two “ladies” are talking about when it comes to the receptionist, she was very friendly and helpful to me. ??????????? .... I wonder what part of the story they are leaving out?.... Most likely someone trying to take advantage of something.. who knows... all I can say is JUDGE for YOURSELF... give this place a try!! You won’t be dissapointed!

Horrible customer service from a new hire named Stacy. She was very rude considering this was my last time going for my laser removal and I never had problems before. Sad that a horrible first impression can destroy credibility to a company. I would no longer recommend this place as long as shes employed there. Dont waste your time on their Groupons.

The service itself was ok. Missed a few hairs. No biggie. Atmosphere of the office was curt and cold. But my main issue was the $15 trimming fee charged before the Brazilian even began. I'm an inconsistent waxer but NEVER have I ever been charged to be trimmed. I genuinely believe it was because I used a groupon. They were going to get money out of me no matter what. I won't be returning.

I was a customer a year ago at the spa for a bikini wax, the front desk was very rude to me pressuring me into tipping for the service before it was completed by the operator because I was using a groupon, belittling me how groupon works, and that it takes away the full payment from the service provider. I informed her I as well work in this industry and always tip cash accordingly, more like generously, and sympathize with the same frustrations, and continued to reassure her multiple times that I would tip the operator . First, people never be pressured into tipping for a service you have not received, and tips are not required, they're very much appreciated, but never required. Overall the service provided was good and I tipped like I said I would. So a year later I booked the same service requesting the same esthetician again with no issues stating I had another groupon over the phone. I come into my appointment this a.m. and the esthetician was running 14 minutes behind schedule, no mention of this to me when I check in, and offered no apology none the less a decent or professional introduction by the esthetician when she brought me because I had another groupon. The esthetician informed she was unable to perform the service I requested because I initialed a piece of paper a year ago stating only one groupon use. Okay, seriously my bad. I go to school full time and work two jobs so I'm sorry I can not remember off the top of my head that I signed this piece of paper a year ago, but what really irritated me the most is there was no mention of this to me when I booked the appointment over the phone, the office needs to be more direct with this information and keep better up-to-date documentation on what groupons have been used by which clients etc. and effectively communicate it. Plus, on the groupon all that is stated is 1 groupon per visit, I take that as not combining multiple groupons. After the esthetician lectured me on groupon once again, it was so offensive; I had to calmly repeat myself multiple times that I work in the exact same industry and am well aware of how groupon works, we accept them at my work, up to three for each customer to be exact, and don't appreciate her talking to me like a child; the front desk finally intervened and informed me I could take the $29 and use it towards an "in-house" package, the cheapest being $90. At this point I had had enough, and definitely did not want a rude and unprofessional operator waxing me after this mishap that easily could have been avoided had I been informed properly in the first place. I understand service providers frustrations with groupon, it cuts there pay in half, but maybe they should be grateful customers come back and request your business, tip accordingly, and refer out. Groupon is a businesses effort to recruit more customers, and you can tell this establishment is hurting financially by how easily the staff gets ticked off over groupons, and how out of date and grungy the office looks. Possessing this knoweledge and understanding I always tip generously and refer out to help operators gain more business. Not today, you lot my business. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone, not even my worst enemy, for their lack of organization and professionalism. I immediately went across the street to Face & Body payed full price, tipped generously, and was provided with best service by a kind and courteous staff. Your lost MedSpa, and working in this industry I will spread the word.

Was considering going here. Called to ask some basic questions about a specific service (cost, etc. Not even trying to book at this point, just get info). The woman who answered said she couldn't answer any questions about that service, and the owner was on vacation and could call me back next week. I completely understand people need a vacation but was pretty surprised that the person answering the phone didn't even try to answer a few questions that should jave been common knowledge for her.

I discovered this business on Groupon. I bought their lavender facial. After scheduling my appointment on the phone the spa director gave great instructions on how to find the building and the suite number they were in. The building was very dated, as was their waiting room. The waiting room made their business look cheap and less professional than other spas I have been to. (I would have given them 5 stars otherwise.) My estetician’s name was Jami. She was very kind and professional. She was knowledgeable and made me feel very comfortable through out my treatment. My appoint was scheduled for 10am. I was instructed to arrive 15min early to fill out paperwork. I was called back to the treatment room at 10:15 and was out by 11.The facial was amazing and my skin is glowing. I just wish the estetician’s had a place to work in that reflected their level of skill and professionalism. I would return to receive future services from Jami.

I booked a $110 facial on groupon but when I called to make an appointment a rude woman answered and put me on hold for several minutes. Then another rude woman picked up the phone and I had to explain all over again that I was calling to make a groupon appointment. In between her talking to me, she was chatting to someone else and I heard words like 'weird.' I decided to cancel and get a refund from groupon.

DO NOT GO HERE! Just google the directors name and look at the malpractice lawsuit. Horrible customer service, long wait times, and unprofessional. Should we really have to listen about your drama with your roommate while you deliver inadequate service at your “spa?”

Waste of money. I used their hair removal offer. No hair reductions after 6 sessions for lip. Only %15 hair reduction after 5 sessions on bikini.

I had a very good experience at Clayton Med Spa. It was my first wax service. Carla did a great job of not only explaining the process but also explaining the why behind it. I will be returning. I used a Groupon and it was a very easy process to redeem/use.

I have been coming here for a few years and I desperately needed a facial. I arrive at scheduled time and this bobble head forba person is playing Chatty Cathy through the Little window. I wasn’t acknowledged until 10 mins after arriving. I have sensitive skin but I have had chemical peels before. I was supposed to get a lavender mask but I don’t know what she gave me. I received this peel that instantly burned. I told the lady that It was too intense but she told me to wait and gave me a face. It got in my eyes and on my lips. She told me the redness would go away. Next day my face is still swollen and just as red as the day before. How did I pay almost 200$ to be in worse condition than when I walked in? I even told the front desk people about it and they tried to sell me more stuff. They lost my business.

I have never written a negative review, usually good ones to help businesses out.. but I was so disappointed at my service that I could not help myself. Found this place on groupon, looked like a great deal for 2 facials so decided to try it. I arrive and the doors are closed, the front desk window is closed, no one is answering the bell or the telephone but I can hear people talking in the back and I was told I should arrive 15min early to fill out the questionnaire. I finally walk in and knock asking if anyone was supposed to be helping me. After JAMI (the lady doing my facial) takes me in.. she reads my questionnaire and says "doctor? so you should know all about waiting" and laughs inappropriately. Then she asks me what kind of doctor i was and I told her an anesthesiologist.. She proceeds to tell me "you're not a real doctor then... not an MD." She must've have been confused so I just said yes I was and we did the rest of the facial basically in awkward silence. It is a medical spa so I was really expecting it to be more sophisticated. Jami was so rude. If you do not have a receptionist for the day.. at least put up a sign, maybe answer the door bell, bring the phone to a place you can hear it, something. Very very unprofessional. I already bought 2 facials so I am hoping to schedule with a different woman.

I was running late to my scheduled appointment by 5 minutes, and the office called me to make sure I didn't get lost. They gave me landmarks to better identify the building. Unfortunately, I arrived 20 minutes late for my appointment. I was promptly seen by Jami. She told me that I just barely missed the cut off because she had a full day. Although hurried, Jami was extremely professional, and very informative of the microdermabrasion procedure. She discussed my skin, what I can do better for better outcomes. I definitely will be returning in a more timely fashion!! I purchased this service off of Groupon!

This is the worst place ever to get Brazilian waxes. I had three Brazilian waxes before the one I got here and it's true "you get what you pay for!" I only went because of $29 Groupon. The waxer lied and told me she doesn't do hard wax so I had to endure the pain and uncomfortableness of strip waxing. Then, there was a $15 trimming fee added because "my hair was too long." At the European Wax Center they use hard wax and there's no trimming or trimming fee. The whole experience was uncomfortable and weird. I had to have my legs up and open like I was giving birth. The waxer went over the same areas more than three times! My private area is so irritated and swollen from Clayton Med Spa. Never going back again.

The young lady, who didn't introduce herself, that did the Brazilian was nice and fast overall. When it was over she said I had a little bit of bleeding. When I got up to get dressed there was bloom all over the wax that was on the table, my bikini line where I was bleeding was on fire. I opened the door and told her I was still bleeding she stated I'll give you an alcohol pad, you'll be fine later today. I normally don't put underwear back on to avoid friction however I had to to hold the gauze in place to keep blood from running down my thigh.
I had to go home and put a cold towel on my vagina and that's when I noticed the big gash of skin missing. I was headed out of town this weekend. I could not get in the pool and. I could barely put on underwear. I will make sure I put this on every website review to make people aware. They use both hard and soft wax which soft wax is not good on the bikini area.

I had a great experience. All of the staff members were extremely professional and curtious. I would highly recommend trying this place. They have a wide range of services and are very competitively priced. Greg was very thourough when describing my procedure and made me feel very comfortable.

Never again. Worst MedSpa experience I've had in my life. Shoddy building in Maplewood, not Clayton. Appointment wasn't booked for correct time, I had to wait an incredibly long time for service, and the Spa Director was snotty with me when I complained about a procedure that took me two and a half hours when the longest it has taken me in past at other providers was 45 minutes to an hour max. The provider Carmen was kind and did her best but was set up to fail. Horrible.

Crappy Brazilian wax, the lady who did mine didn't listen to a single thing I said so she asked the same questions multiple times. Honestly I wouldn't recommend this place for a Brazilian. Also I seriously didn't appreciate the person's unasked for critique of my eyebrows and acne (which isn't bad I might add, just a few small black heads on my forehead). Clearly she was trying to convince me to use more of their services but frankly it pissed me off that she was so rude about my complexion and my eyebrows. Especially since I hadn't mentioned being unhappy with either one or even mentioned anything at all about services other than the Brazilian. I had added an eyebrow wax and she was super critical pointing out that I need to pencil in my eyebrows (I don't even wear makeup), and that there is a place on the top of one of my eyebrows where hair doesn't grow at all. It was not noticeable but she felt a serious need to point it out.

I have not had a bad experience here at all, I have tried several services with Sue, Stephanie and Greg, I enjoy my time there, super friendly personal service in a clean environment.

I found Clayton Med Spa through a Groupon. It was my first time to ever get a facial treatment. The office was very clean and professional. My facial treatment was done by Stephanie. I didn't know my skin could look or feel this good! I will definitely be going back for this service and many others. Highly recommended!

Highly recommend Clayton Med Spa, my experience is with Stephanie, she does a fantastic job. I originally purchased a Groupon for services there, randomly placed with Stephanie, I have since returned and requested Stephanie and will continue to use Clayton Med Spa - great place.
