Everything was so wonderful!!

We have visited this property three times and each stay has been wonderful. Whether in the hotel or villas, no complaints here. The property is beautifully maintained and has many amenities to enjoy- restaurants, Starbucks, pools, bikes, putt putt, corn hole, and a shuttle to the beach club near by. You can rent beach chairs/umbrella at the beach club for an additional cost. Our hotel room was spacious and very clean. I noticed housekeeping constantly cleaning throughout my stay. The sanitizing stations worked and the lobby restrooms were always clean. The staff was very friendly and welcoming upon arrival and departure. Definitely a place we will continue to visit.

Darnit Dream Vacation + Golf Next Door. Ugh caught Covid and couldn't play golf. Although I cancelled the golf at the first testing of Covid ( same day as tee time ) I was very surprised they didn't refund my round? I continues to stay at the hotel ( isolated in my room) I had to repeatedly call to have them share my bill. 2 weeks after arriving home. Then another bunches of calls to finally figure out they were not going to refund my round of golf I missed. Very disappointing. They even asked me 4 weeks later if I still had my covid test? ( Yeah I packed my already used home test in my luggage just in case somebody didn't believe me, unbelievable) I hate leaving a negative review but I don't feel like I was treated like a customer. Poor. Poor. poor I just have a super bad taste in my mouth from the Marriott and TPC Sawgrass Golf resort. Ugh. Maybe I'm expected to much. Disappointing. Period. UPDATE THANK YOU Marriott SAWGRASS CUSTOMER HAPPINESS TEAM! Thank you for refunding me my unused golf fees that I was billed for. That was really fast. Not 24 hours after posting a negative review ( i hate being pushed to go negative) did you address my problem. But now I wonder which person did I not talk too? I exhausted talking to every manager on both properties about my problem? This problem should have never gotten to this level of being powerless and frustrated? Whoever you are, you seem to have a lot of power. So you must know my cell phone number? Why not call me? Will this happen to another customer? Dream Golf Vacation wrecked? Until they are pushed to their limit and resort to writing a negative review? I golf with a lot of golfing travelers in a very large golf association? Will this happen to my friends? We need to talk. Better CUSTOMER Service at the Customer service level. Thank You for your attention to my problem. David Reed

Great place to stay. Here for business conference.

Sometimes your best experiences come at the most unexpected times and places and this is one of them! We are Marriott Bonvoy members and we had one free night stay available to us and we really didn’t feel like traveling a great distance to use it, so my wife thought why not do a staycation and we’ll drive 24 minutes to the Sawgrass Marriott Resort and spend the night there. After all, we’d been to the clubhouse many times, driven by the Sawgrass Marriott and often wondered what it was like. Let me tell you it was of the best hotel experiences I can remember in the last 5 years! We had a room with a king size bed overlooking the lagoon and waterfalls, you could see two of the pools available to you as well as the restaurant American Gator Club. The rooms are extremely clean, more than ample storage in dressers and closets, small refrigerator, safe for valuables and double sinks in the bathroom. The grounds are absolutely superb, gorgeous walking trails and the location couldn’t be more ideal if you’re visiting here from out of town. The inside of the hotel is spacious, extremely clean and they’ve got an outdoor area on the first floor with fire pits outside, we barely scratched the surface of all that’s offered here. But here’s what really made the big difference for us, it was the team/staff at the Resort that deserve praise and recognition. You are greeted warmly by everyone here, from the valet to the front desk to the team in the restaurants and the spa. Superb customer experience here! The gym is equipped with 20+ pieces of TechnoGym equipment so if you’re used to a robust workout bring your gear. The adults only pool that we went to adjacent to the fitness center is quaint and also manned by a very friendly and welcoming crew. I can’t wait to come back! Thank you all at Sawgrass Marriott for a fantastic night!

Beautiful resort, has a Starbucks inside which is super convenient, especially since it's never too busy. I live close by and it's closer than the other Starbucks that always has a huge line. So yea I go there for Starbucks but the lobby is really beautiful.

Really terrible rooms. Food ar pub terrible. Not worth the price. Motel 8 would have been better. For the price fee amenities are very cheap.

The TPC Stadium course is an experience not to be missed playing this top course which is in top condition. More Expensive than expected, Hotel tax, Unexpected car park charge at 20$ / night is a joke, and they could not group our 4ball in the hotel near to each other. The hotel is a little Soulless and also would not recommend on the site Avis / budget car rental, very poor when attempting to change an defective car.

Perfectly located!!! They received my dog and I (small dachshund), the hotel has two restaurants, didn't get to use the pool as we took the shuttle to the beach which brought us back seamlessly! (Apparently it's a HUGE PLUS since there is no real beach access in Ponte Vedra... They drop you off at another lodge whereby you can rent a cabana, have a bar and restaurant, and all the amenities of a hotel.) A valet named Hunter took amazing care of me and my car, absolutely nicest and most attentive valet ever! The front desk a gentleman, Kevin (from Germany) checked us in, very nice concierge, and Peter at the front desk also helped me out on the way out to extend the check out without an issue as I had mistaken the spa appointment time and we had a beach morning planned. The grounds are gorgeous, the courses speak for themselves. Though the rooms are a little outdated everything was impeccable! They have a pretty complete gift shop with any other items you may have forgotten to pack (Joanie was awesome) and the actual golf clothing store was well equipped but only for adult men... They could spruce up inventory for us ladies a bit! Immediately upon leaving the hotel you have a shopping center across with a solid ABC liquor store, Publix, and a bunch little shops all worth checking out. There were some restaurants there as well. If you needed to, you could walk over from the hotel but there is plenty of parking both at the Marriott and the plaza. I will be back to visit the family and definitely return to the hotel. The spa was divine too, worth every penny (thank you Mary!)

My family really enjoyed staying here, for the most part. The location, room, and amenities were wonderful, it was just the staff that we found lacking. We had several instances where they were not very caring, rude, or front desk staffed by teenagers who talked amongst themselves while ignoring you waiting at the desk. It was off-putting and not what I expected from such a nice Marriott property.

Some time you just need to take a break. This was a nice spot

amazing location in a beautiful city. the accommodations are nice! beautiful landscaping great staff. if you golf this is the place to be, it's TPC for crying out loud! the spa looks great although I didn't go. but maybe next time I'll plan on it

Beautiful hotel! Walking distance to a great grocery store & a variety of restaurants.

My husband and I had a wonderful time at the Marriott Spa. We are locals that celebrated our babymoon with with them and it was absolutely worth it. A huge thank you to Mary, Velita, Elizabeth, Yanina, Judy, Stephen, Laura, & Jonelle, who made every massage, facial, pedicure, and service a wonderful experience. Loved it and we are leaving feeling incredibly pampered and cared for!
Alex B.
Great place to stay with beautiful grounds and lots to do, eat and drink.

We had a terrible and disturbing experience at this hotel. This hotel was in consideration for a wedding block for the coming year but was quickly taken off the list. While staying at the hotel, we encountered another customer. Apart from endangering their children by running in front of individuals hitting golf balls, these individuals made racist comments towards us. After complaining to management, no actions were taken. As a loyal BonVoy member this behavior is extremely concerning to us.

Great meeting room

While the grounds are pretty and the staff are very nice and helpful, the rooms and hotel are quite dated! There are also no elevators in the Villas that I could find, which made getting to the second floor with my luggage very challenging. Very few amenities offered in the room - only shampoo, conditioner, and a bar soap, and no information about surrounding area or what the hotel offers. We also decided to go off-site for all of our meals, as the restaurants in the Sawgrass were limited and overpriced for the quality of food offered. The pub seats and tables also need to be replaced, as many of the chairs are torn and tables have odd stains. I am not sure if this is an issue with the catering or the selection my our conference group, but absolutely no water was provided for any of the conference meals. Only sweet tea. Which is a problem, if course, if you don't drink sweet tea and would rather not pay $7 for a botte of water. I would have expected an overall better stay at a 4 star resort.

Rooms suck, double beds for my wife and I on her birthday, view overlooks a dirty roof, bell service was non existent so I handled my own bags.

A review for the spa. This was a gift for her. My wife arrived late because navigation takes you to the back of the property. She was scolded for arriving 10 minutes late. She told them she tried to call and they responded with “we don’t answer the phone during the week”. She booked a massage, a full body loofa buff, and a soothing sole foot treatment. The massage therapist down-sold her and and said if she took the additions off her booking he could spend more time on the massage. She was already flustered because she didn’t realize she was going to have a male therapist so she just agreed. She got the feeling he just didn’t want to do the add-ons. She stated that the massage was more of a sports medicine deep tissue massage than a relaxing one. She is very sore this morning in her neck and shoulders. After the massage she was in the relaxation room. Other than another customer sleeping in the room she didn’t see anyone else. She hoped to order something but nobody came around. She got bored and left the relaxation room and found someone that offered for her to use the jacuzzi so she changed into her bathing suit but when she came out the lady was gone. She sat in the jacuzzi for 15 minutes with no bubbles. Upon leaving bored and unrelaxed she was given the bill and had to ask them to remove the add-ons she didn’t receive. The front desk ladies were confused as to why the therapist didn’t do the add-ons as well. All around poor customer service, a bad massage, and no relaxation. She’s very disappointed because she has really been looking forward to this.

Great location, facilities are dated, rooms need renovation.
Joy J.
Rooms are just so so bit the grounds are gorgeous. Also very nice pools. We are not golfer's but did enjoy all the restaurants within walking distance.

One of my favorite Marriott hotels in all of Florida.

Beautiful place to eat and relax.

We stayed in room 702 overnight for the McGala. Service in the Pub was slow on two occasions. Servers need more training as to appropriate etiquette when pouring coffee at the table and smiling when taking orders. The biggest problem in the room was the air vent in the shower area has not been cleaned in so long it has fur on it. The 7th floor hallway smells very musty and the room occasionally had a musty smell also. The property is beautiful and the McGala was handled well by staff. We hope things are better for next year.

What an incredible place to stay! Loved night chipping onto the floating green!

Beautiful hotel and grounds. Professional friendly staff. Right next to TPC golf course. Shuttle to beach but it is a great beach with a nice club area, restaurant and pool. You stay here will be memorable and enjoyable.

I would zero stars if I could. Went to the pub in the Marriott (5/4/2022), Alice and Pete’s, to meet a friend. The manger, Rob, who I've meet a couple times, is screaming at this poor girl. All these employees just standing around watching. Extremely unprofessional. I turned around and left and called my friend to meet me elsewhere. I've been going to Alice and Pete’s for years every once in a while and recently its been going down hill. The last few times I've been there I've waited 20 - 30 min for a glass if water. They lost all the good people and I'm willing to bet if they have any one left whose good they won't be there long. Managers need to take responsibility. Will not be returning till I hear they step their game and treat people right. Marriott, take responsibility and take care of your people who work. Honestly from what I heard you should be embarrassed as a company.
V M.
Guess what, even Sawgrass is showing a little fatigue. Still, it looks like a nice place to stay, if you have a lot of cash to spare.
J C.
Very old and dated villas. Strange mold smell in room and when we asked the manager on duty he was aware of the smell and said when the ac kicks in it gets better. Probably the worst Marriott around
James B.
Not very impressed overall. Beds are hard/max firmness. Cleaning staff dont come till late in the day (around 5pm) and leave immediately if you are there even momentarily. You cant ask them to wait while you put on shoes and get out of their way, as their standard response will be no English. On site dining is adequate quality but service is spotty at best, either due to staffing or low standards. The water pressure is adequate but spotty at times, and changes temperature to very little rhyme or reason. Air conditioning also seems spotty and accompanied by odd infrequent faint sewer odors. Railings are dusty implying staff doesnt bother much with frequently touched surfaces. I was here for a business conference and even at "conference rates" there are better places to spend your money. If this was a cheaper place it might be 3 or 4 stars, as none of these issues are serious, just annoying. I expect better when spending over 200 a night.
Maggie A.
Absolutely gorgeous location and property. I would recommend and definitely come back. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. My only very minor complaint was the Vilas are a smidge dated (primarily the restrooms shower/toilet area) and the exterior could use a little TLC. Other than that though everything else is exceptional! Walking the grounds, and relaxing outside Or utilizing the conference rooms you will not be disappointed!

The Sawgrass is a topnotch Marriott property. Everything and everyone made my visit wonderful. The hotel is minutes from shopping and restaurants, but once on property, you would never guess. The lagoon is beautiful and has a lot of wildlife visiting. Lots of outdoor seating and several swimming pools round out the whole resort experience. Very family friendly. Onsite restaurants have a variety of tasty options. The breakfast buffet has a lot of fresh fruit and cooked to order omelets. Kudos to the GM Mike and his staff. Marriott superstars.

I called to make a reservation at the number on their website to book 4 nights at the beginning of April. The week before I arrived, I tried to make a tee time at TPC Sawgrass and learned I had no reservation. I then had to book two nights at the Hilton and then two nights at the Marriott at double the rate. I later learned that, although I called the Marriott number, a third party "booking agent" took my reservation. At check-out, I learned that the original person I spoke with had booked me at a Marriott in Law Vegas. I was charged almost $600.00 there. I was furious... I asked to speak to the manager. He wasn't "available." Later that day, I called and lodged two complaints. I lodged one against the Vegas Marriott and one against the TPC Marriott for messing up my original reservations and then charging me twice the cost. I was told the Vegas charges would be reversed in 2-3 business days and that the TPC charges would be resolved in 4-5 business days... We're now going on 17 business days. I keep getting jerked around. The "elite service team" is now handling my complaints. They too aren't getting back to me. This is a complete joke. And, they never give you a direct number to call. You always have to spend 45 minutes of your time going through prompts and waiting on hold. This is a total clown operation. They should have resolved my issues shortly after being notified.
Larry R.
Hotel staff was friendly. Lots of food options within walking distance. Some boutique stores close by. There is a shuttle that takes you to the beach and bar owned by the hotel.
Tristan
Super high-end hotel near the beach in Jacksonville. Easy free shuttle access to a beach with beach club and beach access with rental equipment. Awesome breakfast buffet. Beautiful grounds appointed with gigantic oak trees over 100 years old. Lots of wildlife. Did see alligator snake and a squirrel lol. Put-put golf course for free along with cornhole and other games. Very nice adult-ish poor.
Joe T.
I have waited over 2 weeks before posting this review. Why, because I wanted to see if the hotel would resolve the issues. My family and I stayed there for AHA Heat Ball on Saturday April 2nd. I am a Lifetime Marriott Titanium member so needless to say I have a certain expectation of professionalism from Marriott. I do not believe this was exhibited during this stay. In short we checked in to the room and my wife went to use the restroom in the room. The door is a sliding door that is very heavy. Now the issue is that the door stopper that keeps the door from cutting your fingers off was not there or was so damaged its worned down. Basically, the door has a recessed handle and when the door was shut it sliced her finger about an 1 inch. since the door handle is a recessed handle. This was about needing stiches. The front desk did not have any Band-Aids or medical items. They did not contact the safety officer who apparently had this. I called maintenance and told them about this issue and the maintenance person came and put in a sheet metal screw. In short we had to bring my wife to the doctors to get the finger cut treated and had a medical bill. We have not heard from the hotel management and find it surprising they did zero for any compensation. I had to call the Marriott and talk to this David R. who clearly did not want to talk about this. We had to file a claim with Marriott or maybe we will need to get an attorney for the fun of it. My impression of this resort is that they care very little for their customers and to be honest the excuse of staffing is not acceptable.
Chris E.
Beautiful property and right next to one of the best golf courses in Florida, TPC Sawgrass. Everyone from the valet to front desk to the maintenance workers were exceptional. Only issue was the Starbucks in the lobby was understaffed and created long lines and slow service. Will definitely be back!!
Kristin B.
A hidden gem for family getaways! The resort is very family friendly: pools, kids club, mini golf, corn hole, kids menu. We had a great spring break thanks to the staff and well cared for property, we were in a Villa. The Cabana Club staff was over the top in customer service and really made us feel like we were at a five star resort. Thank you!
Grant B.
One the greatest days of golf followed by one of the worst rooms. It's my anniversary trip with my wife and didn't ask for anything special, just a king sized bed and the norm. What we got was a double bed, a refrigerator that banged all night, a toilet that wasn't bolted down, and mold on the shower and curtain. We called and asked them about the bed and they said it was given away because of the convention that was there. I said but we booked this months ago. They said sorry, and gave us $100 voucher, I didn't want a voucher I wanted the room that was reserved for me when I agreed to stay there. BTW Sawgrass TPC was unbelievable!
Joel L.
Fabulous hotel with exceptional amenities. Staff was most courteous and helpful. Grounds were beautiful as well.
Rachel P.
This resort is pretty much what you expect from a Marriott. It looks like they could use a few more groundskeepers but I know everywhere is short staffed these days. I am a platinum elite member with Bonvoy and my experience with the staff has been wonderful, but my brother did not receive the same courtesy when he checked in at 2:30 am after a long day of travel. Overall somewhere I have stayed before and would stay again, but not one of my favorite Bonvoy properties.
John C.
Very nice place
Richard B.
We have been there the last 3 years and everything was great. Beautiful location. The only issue was they need to open the upstairs restaurant, to make it more of an inviting atmosphere to stay and not have to go out to eat
Gregory H.
My third stay here since 2019, and always a great experience. Location is top-notch and the staff goes above and beyond. It's apparent that they are light on staff this time, as is most of America, but those that are on duty are putting-in the extra effort.
Mike B.
All around horrible experience. My room hadn’t been cleaned properly, the wall in Shower was covered in long hair and bathroom smelled horrible. The front desk argued with me and didn’t want to get it cleaned or switch my room. Finally demanded a new room and got it. Later that night I ordered a drink from the downstairs bar and had a bug floating in it. This place is not sanitary. After waiting 30 minutes for my car at valet I tried to just get my keys and go get it myself and the lady at the desk yelled at me and said I couldn’t have my own keys. There was 1 valet person and about 15 people waiting in cars. After checking out I asked to speak to a hotel manager and was ignored. Horrible service and hospitality!!
Chris C.
Horrible! Beautiful property, but the maintenance, and management is below poor. We stayed in a villa, and the toilet was in poor repair. In order for 2 people to stay in the room --at least 8 times a day, the toilet lid had to be lifted off in order for the mechanism to be readjusted to stop running continuously This is supposed to be an upscale resort? It was a joke. On top of this, they could not get 1 order right after 2 attempts. It was a horrible experience and we won't be back! We'll be looking for a well maintained and managed true upscale property.
Kevin N.
No it was not close to OK . I rarely if ever write poor reviews but this place is dirty and dated. No customer service protocols at all. Food quality was equally as poor. The only reason to stay here is the golf and that is special. The rest of the experience was simply inadequate and the staff are all aware of that as well. Play here stay anywhere else.
Rodrick A.
Valet was very nice and the spa staff was very nice I really enjoyed Elizabeth's foot pedicure.
Parker H.
$4 bag of chips? Get out of here.
Juliette A.
Great place
Emmanuella R.
After a long day of traveling, this was the best suite to walk into. I was upgraded to an Executive Suite; that made my day! The customer service associates were kind and helpful. Everything about Sawgrass Marriott was beautiful. Only thing to note, if you're calling an Uber, order it a half hour or more before you need to leave. I'll definitely be back (next week)! ????
P. K.
(Translated by Google) You can tell that not much effort is made here. Customers seem to come through the TPC Sawgrass one way or the other. Staff neither attentive nor particularly friendly, the breakfast is not very varied. The shower in the sawgrass suite is old and does not produce enough water pressure.
Mike W.
Google gives poor directions to get to this place it will send you to the back are the Property Maintenance and delivery
Gregory K.
Spacious clean suites plenty of pools tons of onsight activities for the kids 24 hour gym and enough meal choices to please everyone
Monica R.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our week at Marriott Sawgrass! The kind and helpful employees, clean resort and rooms, delish food and service at beach club and resort made our trip a winner!!
Jamshed B.
Very rude and unfriendly front desk staff....room old fashioned and out dated.....very disappointed with Marriott
Samuel C.
Beautiful resort, great views, nice pools, lots of great areas indoor and outdoor to pull out your laptop and work if needed. Fun late night bar. Comfortable beds, thick walls and very friendly service.
Effie Christina S.
Parking lot is far away if you don't want to pay for the valet. Beautiful hotel though.
Edward Z.
Our stay here was fantastic. Loved the room and view. We will be returning again.
Robert W.
Beautiful room and views from my villa very impressive.
Aisha I.
Called to ask about availability. A young man said that they had rooms for double beds available. We asked to be sure before we took the long drive. He guaranteed that it would be and took our name. Well, we arrived there and asked for him only to be told that as soon as he got off the phone with us , his manager told him not to book anymore rooms. (How ironic?)I walked off because I believed it to be for other reasons. My fiancé stayed behind to listen to the nonsense. Needless to say, they did not try to help in any way for their error.

Hotel needs a major facelift!
Dogdevil305
Nice hotel, night staff weren't really the greatest and self parking is super odd. It's like they did it so you get forced to Valet. But the amenities are definitely great. If you are visiting the area worth the price, just Valet haha.
Captain H.
Very nice clean and pristine and very comfortable
Rod C.
They try! Has a luxurious feel but so worn. Needs a significant renovation. Service is good.
Hank G.
The sawgrass Marriott Resort is a beautiful hotel that reminds me of my travels out west to Texas Arizona and parts of california. Check out the pictures below. They're very accommodating to your needs and of course have one of the top courses for golf in america. They even have a Starbucks if you're an addict like me. Hope you enjoy your trip down here to beautiful ponte vedra Beach Florida
Grant C.
Nice hotel, rooms were good.
Dundeal
Great service. Beautiful resort. Very accommodating. Room service sent us up a microwave upon request. Restaurants staff was helpful as well. Starbucks onsite hours were the only downside.
Sebastián T.
Staff is great, but this hotel doesn't really offer any good amenities for 4 stars hotel. Restaurants closed, poor cleaning, no room service, just one elevator working. Don't spend money on this hotel
Nicole C.
Bedbugs! Stay at your own Risk! If Marriott continues to deny the problem exist, it will only continue to spread. I stayed on the 1st floor. The staff was pleasant. However, my complaint is being shrugged off. Even if they were "baby spiders" it's still unacceptable. I'm not asking to be comped, I just want Marriott to make me feel comfortable that the situation was/is addressed appropriately, so that I want to stay with them in the future. But they keep denying my complaint and saying it’s okay because it’s FL and we have spiders. I live in Florida and I do not have spiders crawling around in my bed and it’s not acceptable even at hotels!
Allison M.
Ambassador Elite members beware... this hotel couldn't care less about assisting you. They fraudulently charged my credit card for a bill that was already paid with points and I had to get the Ambassador elite assistance to help me get a refund. Despite countless promises from the front desk manager Peter, that he would resolve the issue and call me back, he never resolved the issue and never called back despite me having called 6+ times. If you want to be treated like a nobody when you spend over $100,000 a year at Marriot, go here! They will do a great job at that.
Raul D.
Amazing golf resort and friendly staff

Glad we were able to stay at this resort. Absolutely lovely.

Beautiful property with great service in all areas!

Great place for a family trip. Their beach club is first class.
Ryan L.
Horrible, they over charged me by $500 and now I can't get anyone on the phone to help me resolve it. Minus the front desk, who can't help with anything it seems.
Renee P.
Beautiful location in need of updates. Had to run shower for 15 minutes to get hot water.
Carolyn P.
The grounds of the hotel are very nice. However, the villas are not. We have been staying in the villas for years and this will be our last time. The villas are old, musty, outdated, and dirty. The bathrooms are disgusting. It is embarrassing for the rooms in the villas to be considered Marriott rooms. The wifi is terrible. It goes in and out, and you have to reconnect each time you use your device. I was disappointed by the fitness center. Although the equipment is beautiful and brand new, the towels are not restocked. As someone who sweats a lot, that is important. We love Ponte Vedra Beach, not we will not stay at the Marriott again.
Doug S.
Christmas buffet was not up to Marriott standards.
Kamal F.
1st time here and it was very nice. Didn't stay at hotel but wr had our karate event and it was awesome
Joseph R.
We spent the weekend at this wonderful resort. It has everything you need for s great time. Nice restaurants, pub, pools, golf, kids club and they are pet friendly. The villa's are so nuce and a short walk away from the main hotel.
David B.
Nice place, it has pretty much everything you need. Gym, spa, golf, etc. My only complaint is how the laundry is all the way near the villas. Also the villas seem very outdated. Our hotel room on the other hand was fantastic. Good place to stay.
Michael M.
Great meeting space

We love coming to this place, everyone is very nice and the property is always super clean.
Barbara C.
This was an incredible disappointment and we are Marriott Bonvoy members. We stayed 12/10 thru 12/13 in Villa 1503. We paid $20/night to park in an empty parking lot. We were charged a $25/night resort fee for WiFi, mini golf on a very dated mini golf course covered with leaves, outdoor poor with leaves in them and an exercise class we didn't want. The room was dated, shower fixtures were loose and finally after the third day of a blazing headache I found black mold under the ceramic in the shower. I am allergic to mold. What a nightmare. Showed the desk clerk the pictures of the mold and was told I would hear from someone ...crickets. What an incredible waste of money.
Tim W.
This property is old and tired The villas were disgustingly moldy and after 1 night we were moved to the 7th floor in the interior of the main hotel That is a giant mistake when they entertain business conventions as the noise from the bar travels up like in a tunnel and you can’t sleep till they leave - - huge issue for retail paying guests like us Lastly on the only warm night to eat outside - the Pub was closed to a private function - you can’t make that up The front desk never answers the phones as they say they are short staffed and tell you to communicate with their app or email The Spa - old smelly and tired Obviously this property has seen better days But we wasted a week there as we couldn’t wait to get back to our own home beds for some peace and quiet
Jay J.
Simply a great hotel, a bit pricey but worth it.
Ken A.
Great service. Dining limited Monday - Thurs/Friday.
Upstate Reliable Transport Hans P.
It’s a beautiful resort and golf course it’s beautiful and really nice for golfers
Jim B.
Cool place. Don't stay in the villas if you're over 6'; your feet will hang way off the bed. The lobster rolls they serve at hors d'oeuvre type events are bombdigity, load up on them if you get the chance.

This was our 1st stay here. We were given a hotel room with a lovely view, and it was comfortable and clean. Marriott bedding just adds to a perfect night sleep. The grounds were also beautiful...greenery, golf course, pools, ponds and natural wildlife. There is plenty of seating throughout the entire hotel inside and out. Fall Florida weather was a bonus. I'd add Sambuca and draft beer to the lobby bar, and a few more smiles from guests and staff, but other than that, there wasn't much to complain about. The overall experience was enjoyable.

The amenities were great but the staff was truly the best we've experienced. From the valet to the pool assistant and to the front desk staff all was exceptional!!!

Its a nice looking hotel. But can someone tell me why Holiday Inn has free wifi and this place doesnt? Or Continental breakfast? If someone tries to explain the business decision to me (and i agree) maybe ill change the rating.and i guess the bulb on this lamp is going bad. It just blinked at me and im seeing spots.

I travel extensively for work and this was the biggest letdown I've had in a quite a while. I was placed in the villa rooms, which were in poor shape. Old finishes, damp feel, air conditioning that worked fine but was very loud. Low end stuff. The lobby bathrooms were dirty and run down, with holes in the floor from old partitions, and loose faucets. Worse, the bathrooms were downright dirty. At $349/night (+resort fee, parking, etc.) this was a terrible value. I've stayed at Hyatt Places that were much nicer. Beware of this one.

Incredible surroundings and staff making this a unforgettable destination hotel. Make sure the camera is on hand for the scenery and memories.

Nice property - clean, large and well maintained. Perfect for business with plenty of conference rooms, and also great for families. They offer a kids area, two pools, mini golf and a floating island. The floating island is located at Alice and Peete. $10 for 10 golf balls. Alice and Peete pub was great. Limited menu, but the wings and nachos were delicious. You may want to get the fries unseasoned. The regular seasoning was too zesty for our son's liking. The location of the property is right across the street from a shopping center. Super convenient. There's a Publix - great to stop by for snacks and whatnot. Shuttle service provided and they have rapid response.

Watch what side of the hotel they put you on or your only view will be rooftop. Ask when planning your trip

This is a review for the Sawgrass Marriott Spa, not the hotel. I have been a resident in the area for over 22 years and have visited the Spa numerous times over the past years. The last time I visited that Spa was 5 years ago. Below are the pros and cons of my recent visit: I recently returned to the spa My 2 star review is for the condition of the Spa itself. Pros: Upon arrival, the person at the desk was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. We were led inside immediately. I was very happy with my masseuse. She was extremely attentive to every detail to ensure that I had a good experience. I had lunch while the guest I was with had her treatment and it was served immediately. The portion and presentation were great. The temperature in the outside hot tub was wonderful. Cons: The Spa is very dated and definitely needs some renovations. The relaxation room lighting was very bright and not conducive to relaxing before your service. The lighting in the locker room and the colors on the walls seemed very tired and dark. As I showered, it was very disappointing to see mildew on the tile. We were looking forward to relaxing in the 80 degrees swimming pool, but were shocked to see lots of leaves and debris inside the pool, along with mildew/grime traces around the drains. Landscaping around the pool needs to be trimmed and some of the furniture around the pool needs to be replaced. The icing on the cake was when we finished our massages. We were not offered or given water. Actually, none of the guests who came out of the treatment area had water. As a resident, it is very disappointing and embarrassing to even say that we have a Spa. It not only services the local residents, but guests from all over the country. Unfortunately, I will not return for any treatments or recommend the Spa to anyone.

It’s okay! I would say it is a 3 star hotel with 5 star prices. Our room was very 90’s run down.

My husband and I stayed here about a week ago for a weekend getaway. The staff was very polite and friendly. We enjoyed the valet employee named Shawn. He talked to us and gave us recommendations of restaurants in St. Augustine since we told him that is where we were going one evening. He was always smiling and friendly. I had a massage at the spa during our stay and it was delightful. The spa employees were extremely welcoming and kind. We enjoyed our room, it was a nice size. The large lamp in our room did not work though. The grounds of this resort are beautiful. We enjoyed the water fall and fire pit at night. The pool areas were great too. Overall, it was a nice experience and we would stay here again. Trip

The staff was amazing all around! I really enjoyed the Villas and the patio with a view is a major plus. Clean suits and fairly priced food and drinks. The Spa was wonderful and the staff were super nice and accommodated all my needs. Very enjoyable stay and I highly recommend staying here.

So peaceful. Love the beach club.

Really nice place to stay...l

Just okay. Stay here often, but service is poor for maintanen e issue. Rooms and villas need major upgrade. They are 1995 decoration. They c Should do better.

I am.a Marriorr employee in Savannah. I, therefore, have high expectations. I called tonight with a bunch of questions. Patrick was very professional and patient. He answered all my questions abd was fun to work with. KEEP UP YOUR EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS.

Beautiful property...very nice rooms and friendly service.

Filthy, was reported, managed could have cared less. General Manager only got intouch w us after we left. The air continers jntake vent was so dirty the slats were covered w greasy dirt balls. As a meeting planner, I would noy take an event there, if you do...do a surprise chrck.
George T.
We met a friend here for dinner. Parking used to be free. Tonight they wanted TWENTY DOLLARS to park. I parked in the shopping center across the street and walked to the hotel, met my friend and had dinner. Afterwards, I walked back to my car in the dark. I will NEVER return.
Filippo M.
Truly poor experience. Older rooms, poorly finished and poorly maintained. Generally staff was friendly, but you will 100% feel duped by the pictures on their website. If you're looking for a fancy place in Jacksonville near the beach, try the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club. Stayed there right after staying at the Marriott Sawgrass, and found it to be so much more enjoyable.

Nice landscaping and great parking. Valets.

Service in the restaurants is sub par due to clearly disgruntled millennial aged staff.... and there are Ants everywhere on the property...infested it seems. Room key never worked to get to and from Villas. Always had to press the call button to enter and exit....and after hours it takes a while for them to pickup and ring you past the gate...which begs the question...why have a keycard gate if the help button always rings you in and out?!?
Brad P.
Great place and they did a wonderful job on a large event I attended there for two days. Food service was great and the food served was fantastic. I do wish the bar was open till at least 11 or later. Ten pm is a little ridiculous.
Scot J.
I just wanted to recognize Ceila, housekeeper for the Villas. She was so friendly and tried to assist us as much as she could when our room keys were not working. I did not get her last name , but she was working the Villas on Labor Day weekend in building 17. I hope the management team recognizes her for being so customer focused!
Yusif G.
Great hotel, nice clean rooms. No need to get the resort view.
Francesca Caputo P.
I photographed a wedding here. The rooms are great for getting ready photos, spacious with lots of dramatic light. The grounds are really well maintained with lots of different areas for photos. The property is so large, each wedding day event was spaced out so the bride and groom were able to stay hidden from guests while we moved around taking formal photos. The staff was really friendly and easy to work with. Ample amount of parking, which is always nice. I'd happily come back.
P M.
Words just can't discribe it. I LOVED my stay at this resort. Sadly relativly short but absolutly perfect. The staff through out the complex is extremly friendly. They have a nice program for every day and the food and drinks are pretty good. It's not a 3 star restaurant but what they do is pretty good! They have a number of pools, heated, not heated, on and off property. Golf courses are available for guests and the landscape is beautiful. The gym is well equipped and allows good workouts! Thanks for a great stay and hope to be back again soon!
Nicole C.
My husband and I stayed here for one night. We were welcomed in warmly by the front desk. Our room was fantastic. Very spacious and bed was super comfortable. One of the large lamps wasn’t working though. The pool was very relaxing; however, we were disappointed with American Gator Club. We ordered the smoked fish dip and margarita. The fish dip was half oil and half fish dip, which basically turned the chips to soggy. It also didn’t taste fresh at all, which also made it unappealing to eat. The margarita was not good and tasted more like a lemonade. Convenient location at this resort if you want to play at one of the courses. This resort would’ve been rated 5 stars if it weren’t for the unpleasant food experience.
Richard B.
Hotel and rooms seem run down. Dining and service were nothing special. Hotel staff were less then competent. Put me in a handicap room for no reason. I hate when they do that. Annoying to have to change rooms.

Stayed for a week with my wife and 2 kids. It was a great time. The pools, the beach club, the rooms were all perfect. The workers were top notch. Especially at the pool hut. I really can't say enough about how we enjoyed our stay. We enjoyed the breakfasts, and lunch at the cabin or the pub. We stayed in the main tower, the room was nice and clean. The only sort of issue, was they are only cleaning rooms by request, so we went a week making our own beds, but Covid is what it is, so we understood. Also the poolside restaurant was closed still. Other than that, all was open. We were able to rent a car at Avis at the hotel for a day trip to Saint Augustin and a day at the Jacksonville Zoo. Both were lots of fun for the kids. If you're a Marriott person looking for a family getaway, this is a great choice.

What a beautiful resort! I loved the modern and contemporary design of the hotel and the room. My husband and I loved our room which was large with an eating area, a seating area and a section for coffee. The bathroom was comfortable and luxurious. That rain shower head was an EXPERIENCE! I loved the beautiful landscape view from the window. The lanai on the ground level of the hotel was extra large with plenty of seating to enjoy the sunset. What kept me from giving five stars was that our room telephone did not work which was an inconvenience. Due to Covid, a lot of activities were unavailable like water surfing. And if you are disabled, this resort consists of a lot of distance walking inside. It is challenging. Other than that, great resort.

Peaceful surroundings for relaxation. Safe and secure. Villas offer enough space to spread out for a weekend. No kitchen utensils, pots, or pans are available so I didn’t specifically find that area to be of any use. Who travels with those items, seriously? If the room wasn’t purchased with points, I wouldn’t upgrade to the villa for that reason.
N W.
Very nicely situated in a beautiful and lush setting. Walking distance from amazing restaurants nearby. Nice ammenities in the common areas...now the rooms...2 double beds in a tight room with a terribly old carpet (even best westerns have queen sized beds as a minimum)...no room service we've been told...calling (twice) to empty the overflowing trash bins wasnt successful...getting new towels needed a reminder, swapping a faulty tv remote needed a reminder...i heard the villas were not better...welp...i'm not paying for just nice common areas ammenities...cross that one out. Moving on!!
Lanea D.
Wonderful staff, the accommodations were great. My only complaint would be there needs to be better dusting and checking dirty things like spray on the mirror. Only makes we wonder what are they really cleaning? But I want to think the best. As an ex supervisor maid I see these things that most don't think of. Overall great stay

I have stayed at this resort several times, but this time was so very unworthy of the Marriott name that I feel compelled to write a review. The hallway was not vacuumed during my entire four-day stay. Dirty dishes and glasses sat outside rooms for two days before being picked up. The sliding door of my room - on the first floor - did not lock; the final solution was to hammer a board into place up at the top. If there had been a fire, I would have been toast. My shower had other people’s hair on the tile. The blackout curtains had holes in them. The Starbucks didn’t have tea bags - I had to give them two from my purse in order for them to make my tea and no, they didn’t give me a discount on the beverage. In the pub, the fryer was broken throughout our stay. Never have I been so disappointed.

I had my hair done at the spa here and Lacy is amazing. Great color and cut. It’s not cheap but worth it!

Be careful of their valet during busy times. The attendants were very frantic and aggressive with driving vehicles. Unfortunately for me, their actions resulted in damage to my new vehicle. Hotel has been giving me the run around for a week now and I have not yet been able to speak to anyone about my claim. Incredibly disappointing for such a large brand.
Jacob F.
Great place to relax.

Disappointed for a Marriott. Stayed in the villas.... felt old. Grounds nice. Except mini golf. Ants everywhere. Needs to be upgraded... be bottles all over
Celene G.
Terrible..... Dirty, disgusting.... Both of my kids have bedbugs bites.... I am dealing with their pain at the bottom of their feet.... Insane. We have been in many hotels but never had this experience. Waiting for their manager to call.... Avoid if you have kids plus there is nothing interesting for them to do. Our stay was a shame. Unfortunately we had to go there bc my husband had meetings in the hotel.... AVOID this Marriott....
Steve K.
Great marketing, but underwhelming property overall. DO NOT, repeat, DO NOT stay in a villa. They are old, small, and dirty. They have balconies and patios, but you are better off staying in the main building and not having either. At the beach you have to pay for a chair and umbrella. Plan $100 per day for a family of 4 there just to sit. Plan an additional $100, or more, per day to play. Spa prices were expensive. Not much to do other than golf in the area. Not what we expected. Save your disappointment and drive 30 to 40 minutes south to St. Augustine Beach and stay at the Embassy Suites. More to do, on the beach, and MUCH better rooms.
Haile
Our stays was excellent and the staffs were Very friendly. Our room was very clean which makes for a comfortable vacation.

We stayed in the Villas over Fathers Day! Talk about dirty!! That’s a under statement!!! Nasty hair all in the shower the bathrooms were disgusting, even the mirrors weren’t cleaned???? The Villas have kitchens but don’t come with any dishes silverware or cups! Our TV was all fuzzy! We asked the maid for Towels she said “oh I can only give u 2” with 6 ppl in our party! A bag full of garbage sat out side our door for 3 days! THATS WHAT YOU GET FOR $$650 a nite WE WILL NEVER B STAYING AT THE SAWGRASS AGAIN!!!! Please read reviews prior to staying here!!
Barbara C.
Nice place. The room service was slow or non existence if you needed anything like towels or toilet paper. Bar staff not friendly.

I spent 6 nights at the Sawgrass Marriott in June 2021 and overall I had a good experience. Like everything, there were some pros and cons. Pros: AMAZING FOOD, friendly staff, clean room, staff adheres to COVID-19 recommendations, beautiful scenery and golf course, relaxing beach atmosphere, not overcrowded on weekdays, ongoing shuttle to beach, room doesn't have a microwave but housekeeping brought one for no additional cost, and checkout is quick & easy through the room television. Cons: Advertised as a beachfront but the beach is a couple of miles away, not many water activities offered, spa prices are excessive, and The Villa walls cancel out noise well but not vibrations. The whole room shakes when people jump upstairs. Overall: I would recommend the stay if you have a couple grand burning a hole in your pocket and want a quiet and relaxing stay at a beach but if you're on a budget or if you want the excitement of water sports (jet skis, tubing, scuba diving, parasailing, boating) you should stay down the road near Jax Beach.
David R.
I always enjoy a round of golf at Sawgrass!
Yuki N.
Nice hotel. Beach was ok. It would have been nice if they told me that there was a charge for chairs and umbrellas on the beach. $85 for 4 chairs and 1 umbrella. Then food at the pool was underwhelming and expensive. $99 for 3 salads and 3 drinks, included an 18% service charge! Brunch in the hotel was so-so. But the front desk folks were very nice and friendly.
Mike M.
Fine service of course.

Probably one of the top resorts in Florida, clean, friendly only thing missing is Dance Music nights

Zero service at the pool. You will have to walk halfway across the resort to get drinks and food. Everything seams to close at 5pm for some reason. Not sure how they get away with charging a resort fee when there’s no staff. Putt putt is full of ants and I got the bites to prove it. Rooms are very clean and property is outstanding. But it’s not a return for me

Don't let the Marriott name fool you.. This is NOT your typical one!!! I WAS IMPRESSED - and I am NOT EASILY IMPRESSED! This is an upscale, beautiful, well appointed golfing resort in a small town ( Ponte Vedra) by the beach ( it's about 20-30 min away from Jacksonville). And although it's not on the beach, it's still very impressive!!!! It's a very nice property close to the beach..considered a very good golf course..w beautiful expansive grounds..has several very nice pools..water falls..did I say beautiful grounds & the beautiful golf course as the backdrop,, the views from my suite were incredible( get a high floor room, it has unobstructed beautiful nature views as far as the eye can see..I think they border a nature preserve too) The hotel is VERY NICELY DONE..upscale..brand new looking, well built and decorated..looks fantastic!! The rooms are VERY NICE & VERY CLEAN. The materials they use are very good quality. Great soft sheets, towels, extremely soft & comfy beds, fluffy pillows..beautiful expensive looking duvets, furnishings..you get the idea.. The staff is polite & helpful. The restaurants although beautiful, classy & on trend lack a bit..although not bad..not great either to keep up w how impressive the resort is i expected to be wowed by the food.. I had good lamb chops though..and they have cool trendy pretty drinks ..and even the sports bar restaurant is classy & upscale- the chicken wings were good here & they have a great bar beyond your typical sports bar fare . But be prepared because everything is shut down by midnight. So..better get your food and drink on early!!!!My only negative was the food situation..nowhere to get food past midnight in the hotel , probably the near surroundings- although I didn't try.. If they improved their food game & at least have late night room service..they would be FANTASTIC. So aside that, I was VERY IMPRESSED w THIS RESORT so much so that we are actually planning a trip going back there soon, as opposed to trying somewhere new.. that's how much I liked it!! I DEFF RECOMMEND THIS PLACE ????
Mike J.
This place is beyond. One of the most beautiful hotels I have ever visited. Hotels are usually places you stay while on vacation...this is an experience. I cannot wait to start working here.
R C.
I can't say enough about the staff, they were amazing. The hotel was quite nice as well. Thoroughly enjoyed my week there. Shuttles to the golf course were very nice to have as well.

Very comfortable beds Nice and quiet

Was not given a King bed even though the hotel was fairly empty.

Beautiful property and nicest hotel in Jacksonville by far.

This resort was absolutely phenomenal!!!! I was thoroughly impressed with the COVID measures that were in place. The staff were courteous and professional. My room was awesome with a beautiful view. Can't wait to go back!
Richard B.
Beautiful surroundings good service good places to eat close by
Nicole E.
This place was awful. As a loyal Marriott customer I can say this was one of the most unclean hotels. The first room was musty and dark, the pillows had yellow stains. I asked to be moved to another room. The second room was worse. There were bugs on the bed sheets and the bathroom was NOT clean! I asked to speak to a manager and they sent me the housecleaning manager. She was like “they probably opened the window and the bugs came in”. Ummmm... the windows had screen. Needless to say I just booked at a other hotel and left this place.
Peter S.
I was actually disappointed with the service. I didn't feel they treated you like you were staying at a Marriott. Because it is tied to stay and play with TPC probably. Just not what I am used to at a nice Marriott.
Christopher F H.
Sawgrass Marriott is a nice relaxing property and this week it looked read for both business and golf travel. All areas are clean and it’s not too crowded with guests. Staff was over the top nice and accommodating, in a good way letting you know they appreciate you. I think more of the rooms need refreshing, even my newer one had stains on the furniture from drinks or something yellow. I didn’t really get the upgrade treatment either that I usually get at Marriott - and I had reserved three rooms. Some drinks are on the house right now- included in resort fee.
Andy M.
Not too shabby
Dot R.
Beautiful hotel. Very clean. Staff is friendly and helpful. There are also many things to do, in and around, the resort. We would definitely stay there again.
Mark E.
Dirty and understaffed. Most likely the pandemic issues
Frank K.
The hotel and amenities were more than exceptional. The only downside was the lack of any Tesla/ EV chargers on the property which was mind boggling considering how many EVs were in the lot. It was the first time we stayed at a Marriott that didn’t have a charger. Unacceptable.
Rose M.
Room was terribly outdated, dirty and in immediate need of repair. The bathroom fixtures leaked when the water was turned on so we had to keep towels around the sink to keep it from flowing onto the floor. Overcharged is an understatement! We chose valet parking for $28./day and were also charged an additional $20./day for parking! And then another daily “resort” fee.?! Their charges should be illegal! The only nice part of this place was the check in staff was very nice & professional. Do yourself and your wallet a favor and stay elsewhere
Kevin P.
So, as a lifetime titanium member, I requested an upgrade....wow, I was credited and announced the we were graciously upgraded to a villa suite....well, it was more like driving into section 8 housing. The odor in the room is like a dead animal is in the room. No cups, no coffee, no amenities. Also went to the pool today to grab lunch at the American gator club....don't hold your breath for that either. Closed up. No food or drink at the pool. Limited chairs. Our experience just seems to get worse by the day. Also, went by the front desk. The manager on duty, promised a deep clean in our room. I guess the deep clean will happen when we leave as no housekeeping has been seen for days. I hope the rain holds off...so we can at least golf tomorrow. Stay tuned
Kevin S.
Very beautiful place. Great service
Chef S.
One of the dirtiest hotel rooms we have ever stayed in. One bedroom villa should be avoided. The carpet had multiple stains, probably dog stains since the room smelled like urine. We had to change rooms due to bug infestation in the bed. Garbage littered the hallways, the balconies were filthy, and the hotel was waaaaaaaay understaffed, we had to wait in line every morning for more than 25 minutes to be seated for breakfast, 10 additional minutes for someone to take our order, and we had to ask at least twice for coffee refills since the whole restaurant was staffed with only two people. The "heated" pool was ice cold, and the beach club barely had any towels. Such a rundown property which minimal quality of service.
Tony S.
Had an amazing three-night stay as first-time guests and can't wait to return! The entire staff from check-in to check-out was exceptional and access to the Cabana Club/Ponte Vedra Beach and Sawgrass Village make this resort the perfect vacation destination. The A/C in our room went out on the last night and the building engineer took it upon himself to quickly relocate us for the night while he repaired. Above and beyond service across the board. We can't thank everyone enough and look forward to making this an annual vacation!
Athena Jennifer B.
Thank you to Elizabeth for making me feel like my nails and toes weren't really all that bad after a year of quaranting and do-it-yourself nail care. She is a perfectionist!!

We spent the money to book a villa for my golf trip to TPC Stadium Golf Course but were disappointed that they need updating and are not being maintained. I loved the way the villas were so close to the main hotel through walkways and bridges which made it very convenient to access the main restaurants. However we stayed in 1601 and the shower didn’t operate correctly where the water came out both the shower head and the hand held at the same time and you couldn’t switch it over to just the shower head alone. The door latch was broken and finally locked us out of our room. I heard the main hotel rooms were recently renovated. Now it is time to focus on the villas which should be the premium accommodations on the property because they have the highest price point. The management at this hotel didn’t bring back enough staff to anticipate increased occupancy for this busy Easter weekend. It was obvious they were severely understaffed everywhere. The outdoor pool decks were covered with dead leaves and both outdoor pools were not heated and were filled with dead leaves and dirt in the water. It looked like nobody had vacuumed the pool or checked the skimmers in days. There were used wet towels strewn around the chairs and on the pool deck. The restaurant for breakfast was understaffed to the point the substitute omelette chef was the full time beekeeper for the property. I must say the staff they had this weekend was great and worked very hard to do the best they could under the circumstances but they just needed more hands on deck. I couldn’t believe the villa had no wine glasses or any glasses of any kind. When I wanted to open and enjoy a bottle of Caymus red wine I was told by the front desk they only provide plastic or coffee cups instead due to Covid. Really? That is the excuse you hear everywhere but washing the glasses in a dishwasher to sterilize them would work fine. Sorry I am not going to drink a high quality red wine out of a plastic cup. After arguing with the front desk they finally said they would send over a couple of wine glasses with real glass. As I told the front desk when you are paying a high price for a villa getting wine glasses or any glass to use is not asking a lot. The resort fee is a total ripoff and Marriott corporation needs to eliminate these ridiculous fees just as the airlines finally eliminated their gouging change fees that kept escalating. Having said all that the TPC Sawgrass Stadium Course was beautiful and the round of golf with an incredible caddie was very memorable and far exceeded my expectations. Every blade of grass was perfect and the greens exceptional. It looked as good as Augusta National which was the best I had ever seen. If you decide to stay at this resort I would try to book a room in the main hotel and not spend the extra money on a villa. Once theyasasafirstresorwitamazchallecourse.

We don't usually stay at Marriott's and this resort did not encourage me to visit again in the future. Booked two rooms for two nights for a family of 5. Resort was considerably understaffed. We started our stay with having issues at check in. Was told they only had one room booked. Long story short after going round and round 4 visits to the font desk, it was finally figured out that the last name was misspelled which prevented the reservation from pulling up. Every time we visited the main lobby or seating area outside the lobby, tables and counters were dirty and littered with empty cups and trash. Starbucks was closed one day due to no staffing. We have photos of dirty sheets on one of the beds. The resort is not cleaning the rooms during stays, which we understand under the circumstances, however we tried calling several times to get clean towels sent to the rooms with no success! Stopped housekeeping outside our room and asked for fresh linens (which they clearly had on their cart) but told us they didn't have any and to call the front desk. Tried again with no answer. Called another extension which rerouted us to the front desk and still no answer. We never did receive fresh linens. All in all the staff was polite but not overly accommodating or helpful. Nothing special about this resort that would ever make us come back again.
Josie C.
Great property and service. I will be going back again soon.
John M.
Sawgrass Marriott is looking tired and in need of some TLC. The pool areas were dirty with leaves on the ground, and lounge chairs couldn't be anymore uncomfortable. Under staffed with Florida opening up again, especially the bellmen. On a positive note the associates were very friendly and courteous especially Hamzah at the front desk. We decided to stay here because of Sawgrass golf, but for the most part it was a disappointment.
Bobby H.
Even on their worst & rainy ice cold days this is a great place to stay.
Ellen C.
Stayed there during the 2021 PLAYERS championship. Very disappointed! I will say the front desk staff were friendly. However, the rooms were extremely overpriced! Also, they gave us a handicapped room without telling us first. The downstairs restaurant/bar (Pete and Alice’s Pub) was badly understaffed. Waited about an hour before anyone even took our breakfast order. Then, food was mediocre and it took another 45 minutes to get our food! They give you 2 free drink tickets - we’ll forget that! You could never even find a clean table and the service was terrible. One day, we sat down in the bar area and we were basically invisible to the staff. One lady finally came by and asked us if we needed menus. I replied “no” since we just wanted a drink. The waitress just walked away while I was talking to her! We had to leave the property to get a decent meal. Oh, by the way, our room (which was a suite) had a terrible view and was very plain/basic. Nothing luxurious about it but the rate was $899 per night not even including parking and other resort fees! We enjoyed the golf tournament but decided we would never stay there again!

An oasis while traveling. So relaxing with a starbucks, great food, outdoor trails, spa and pools.

We had a great time at Sawgrass Marriott from the moment we drove up, we was greeted by the parking attendants all was very helpful and seemed to enjoy there job. The front desk receptionist was very polite as well and very helpful. Super nice crew, that made for a really enjoyable vacation. Just the smiles on everyone face as we was greeted when we came and went from the hotel. The landscape around the hotel was beautiful. The private beach was very nice as well. Now the miniature golf area needs some upkeep that was not pleasing to the eye. The room was very clean and bed was very comfy to me.

No hot water since we arrived & we have continuously been told since then that “maintenance is onsite working very hard at repairing it” but nothing has been resolved. This is ridiculous. I’m done
Dave
So I have been a Marriott member for over 25 years and I'm lifetime Titanium. I stayed at the Sawgrass Marriott Resort last Thursday and Friday for the Players. The staff was great, the property was great, but the room was not. We got in late after the Thursday after the round, the room was very musty. I had to get some Claritin to help me breath. So the second day with Claritin it was tolerable. I really didn't have time to complain as we were at the tournament everyday all day. Also the outside porch was unusable as all the furniture was covered with paint peeling off the ceiling, and the light in the bathroom didn't work properly either. So on Monday I received a survey from the general manger Todd Hickey. I completed it online and called the hotel and asked to speak to him. I was told he was unavailable but they put me through to his assistant. I got her voice mail and left a message, so 3 days later no response. I would think a lifetime Titanium member might get a call in a few days.

Less than ok. Service was meh. Restaurant/ food options TERRIBLE; the pub food was served cold, small menu, slow & the ambiance was lacking. The other restaurant is only open Thursday & Friday. The entire resort needs an overhaul, rooms are dark & feel depressing. No fan in the bathroom, rust on vanity & no comforter on bed. Rooms are hot, AC doesn’t work effectively. Worst COVID service I’ve had - no room service not even on request... only drop off outside your door any amenities you need. Just generally lacking in all areas. We only stayed here because my husband was golfing @ TPC Sawgrass & we was expecting more considering the hotel is associated w/TPC Sawgrass. Pool & beach are via ride... no thank you! This resort should be rated a 3 star for service.

Very pretty but you have to walk far to get your car
Elva L. A.
Elegant, comfortable, upscale and relaxing. Stress-less stay from elegant dining options to superior spa amenities. Nightcap by the fire on the outdoor patio deck watching the colored waterfall under a star-filled sky just cannot be beat for romance.
Robert D.
Beautiful property, super clean, in the middle of golf paradise.
Todd M.
Very nice property. Awesome views and fantastic custom service. Stayed there business and as a Bonvoy member they took care of me. Look forward to another trip there so I sit outside the pub and enjoy the view and sunshine.
Oksana
Beautiful property but the rooms at the villas are completely outdated. Checked in first in the room at the villas it was smelling musty and it looked awful. No view and the patio was very dirty. It is a complete rip off for 250$ a night the room. Our new room was ok since it was in an another building. Once we checked in, we found hair in the bathroom. The table in the living room as well as the night stands were dirty. You could see water drops and water rings on the furniture. Before we checked in we called the hotel and we emphasized that we wanted to have a clean room. And we got hair in the bathroom and dirty tables as the result. Awesome. Even if you call and ask for towels they will ask you exactly what kind of towels you would like to have but at the end you will get random towels anyway. At the end they rise the expectations but they are not able to deliver.

Love this place
Kimberlyn J.
One of the nicest places I’ve stayed. I honestly wish the weather would have been nicer to be able to enjoy all the amenities but even without them service was great, rooms were cleans, and the bar was open late. Will definitely visit again ????
Ezequiel A.
Beautiful place to stay and our room was located at the villas which was great to be socially distant from others. Our room had a patio and next time we will stay again.

Very dirty rooms with roaches in Villas

In spite of an initial bad experience using the mobile key (which I have since realized most likely has a lot more to do with my phone than them), this hotel is absolutely wonderful and everything I could ask for!! The grounds and buildings are beautiful and clean. Our villa is quiet, cozy and comfortable and feels very safe during this covid pandemic. I must also add that the staff are wonderful and have been willing to assist with any concern I have brought to them. Excellent hotel and highly recommended. Sincerely a happy silver elite member.

Tv is not working no signal no internet i already called them they say they gona fix still not working bad wifi connection. Hay
Jacob B.
Stayed 7 days part of a hotel major booking over 200 rooms. High end hotel has no microwaves. WiFI was hot trash needs updated to support the hotel occupancy. Food was catered for our blocks and was subpar at best and small portions for the amount of money that we paid. I wouldn’t say it’s any better than any normal $120 room. Would only recommend for someone that is super devoted golfer. Elevators have something electrical wrong where when one going up will get called back down by someone below before dropping you at your level. Upon arrival room key didn’t work for 3 tries finally security was called and corrected. Put food in refrigerator quickly and left out only to return to it never working to begin with. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful.

The event I attended here was very nice the ambience and food was great!

If you planning to organize a corporate reunion this is your perfect place a large convention beautiful golf course lively trail in my opinion is a lovely paradise

Beautiful place and atmosphere was great ????????

What an amazing experience! We came for a bachelorette party and had the best time! It's relaxing without being stuffy and fussy. The staff was so accommodating, kind, and by far one of the easiest experience I had while trying to book 10+ people. My sport massage by ***Mariel*** was one of the best I have ever received in my life! She was so talented and informative, and I am dying to go back! The bartender Steven knew exactly the right time we would need beverage refills, and even brought over chocolate covered strawberries for the bride.
Kennyomar G.
Very nice hotel. The villas are nice, but a little old. The View is nice!

Gorgeous place
Tanya R.
I love this place. It was my first time going, after this experience I'm gonna start coming once a month. My service was a 80 min massage. Once u book a service you can enjoy the facilities. Miriam was my masseuse and is was amazing...
Martin M.
It’s a little bit dated, but still a good resort. The area is nice. Included in the resort fee is a one hour rental of bicycles. Overall it could have been a little bit more service-oriented. Valet parking for example doesn’t work via an app but you need to call them with no guarantee that somebody will pick up. They give you less late check out time then according to your Bonvoy status.
Grace C.
I have to say, we had some noise issues early on in our stay but the manager worked efficiently and quickly to resolve those issues and we have had a few minor inconveniences mainly related to covid restrictions (cashless property) BUT I have to say the villa was perfect with parking right in front of it (easy unload considering we have bicycles and lots of luggage) the staff (everyone from the manager to the ladys at the towel/put put hut have been so nice and accommodating. This property is super safe with a great location next to a Publix, stores and restaurants including ABC. To top it all off they have a wonderful beach club to spend the day, it has been too cold to fully enjoy but still gave us hours of fun and a change of scenery all included with the room! I will definitely come again and recommend to everyone!!
Jim F.
Great place to stay and play. Beautiful area!! Staff for the hotel was great but special shout out for the ladies tending bar. Fantastic service and make perfect Martinis.
Julia S.
Just WOW. The gentleman, Steve, at Soothies anticipated every need before we even knew we needed something. We had a girls spa day and we have been referring to it as the “Best Day Ever”. Steve just knew everything we needed and made great recommendations. All expectations were exceeded! The massaged was also wonderful and great facilities.

Do not waste your money. You would be better off staying at a Holiday Inn Express. This “Resort” is classified as a 4 star hotel, but the rooms are outdated and the staff will treat you like a burden. Before we arrived, my wife called and asked to ensure we were grouped with the wedding party we were with and they told us to just let them know when we arrived that we were with the wedding and it wouldn’t be a problem. My wife checked in and they told us that they couldn’t put us with the Wedding group because we booked directly with Marriott, instead of the third party site that was for the wedding party... that’s fine, but that’s not what she was told on the phone 2 hours earlier.. no big deal we will get over it....When my wife gave them a credit card for the stay, it was not scanning after multiple attempts and then the concierge got frustrated with her because it wasn’t the card they had on file. As if that matters... you didn’t ask for the card on file, you asked for a card. Don’t get mad because you didn’t ask for the card used for booking and apparently that’s the one you needed... If that wasn’t enough, there come the resort fees... the fees cover virtually nothing. You can use the gym, but you can’t use the locker room, because that is a “spa service”. Not only can you not use it, it is guarded by a employee to ensure no one that hasn’t paid the spa on the way in can be in the locker room. You get access to “high speed” WiFi with your resort fee, but it’s a public unsecured network that’s available to anyone. You can play mini golf but the course is covered in debris and is not maintained at all. You’d be better off driving and paying to play at a local mini golf. You can chip balls to a floating green, but it cost “$10 per 10 balls”. You can sit outside and enjoy the gas fire pit, but the wicker patio chairs don’t have cushions and the fire pits are rusted and not maintained at all. You can watch any of the many TVs mounted in the Lobby areas, but only 1 is turned on and it happens to be the one that is washed out and mounted crooked. You can watch tv in your room, but not anything on FOX because that channel is “not available”. You can watch a handful of other channels, but only in standard definition. You can check out the many pools that are available, but you can’t find one that isn’t covered in leaves & debris. I understand mistakes happens and that hotels can (and should) charge extra for some services, but if you are going to charge resort fees you should at a minimum clarify what is included in those fees rather than just list everything that your resort has to offer in an attempt to mislead the guest into believing they are included. I expect a four star hotel to at a minimum have a welcoming staff and clean and functional amenities, but Marriott fails to come close to that basic standard. I’ve stayed at 2 star hotels with more to offer.
Brenton H.
My stay was AMAZING. Front desk was amazing, valet was amazing!! Hotel was very beautiful and well maintained. Would love to book again in the future.
Lynne G.
The front desk staff and driver were beyond welcoming when we arrived. The hotel and grounds were beautifully maintained and we could not have had a more delightful stay! Marriott hotels never disappoint and Sawgrass Marriott followed suit! EXCEPTIONAL COMES TO MIND!! We WILL be back!
Al A.
Beautiful resort unfortunate that it was probably 95 percent vacant I hope they can last out this pandemic
William C.
Beautiful grounds but the rooms are very, very small and woefully outdated. No working ice machines in the building either. Bigger rooms on the Ocean cost the same so don't waste your $$ here. Sorry Marriott, You need to update the hotel to justify your rates.
Jennifer B.
Beautiful, peaceful. Excellent staff and well appointed rooms.

This longtime, Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla. landmark hotel and convention center is ideal for inside and outside business and celebratory occasions. Beautiful as always ?.
Terrence L B.
Wonderful please don't book through Priceless call first to get deals on packages
J.r. R.
Stayed in the villas, why do you book rooms with people staying above and below each other when you can spread them out, lots of rooms available, beautiful property but it's like staying in an apartment if you're on the 1st floor and you have someone above you.
Kelley C.
Stayed here twice in Aug 2020. The first time I had a room with a view in the main building, the second time I stayed in a villa. The villas could definitely use some updating, but overall they’re not too bad. In the villa some of the tv channels were fuzzy/had poor reception (not that I was watching a lot of tv, just something I noticed), and I’m not a fan of the sheets they use (not breathable). I enjoyed the Cabana Club access, and definitely took advantage of that during both stays. Also enjoyed the mini golf, bike rental and drink vouchers.
Peterson D.
Sawgrass Resort was great. Check-in was very quick, the staff was very friendly, and the resort follows social distancing guidelines. The room was up-to-date, clean, and very comfortable. (Fyi, the courtesy drink vouchers have nothing to do with my rating.) Great first experience. Nonetheless, 5stars!
Gi C.
Loved staying at the hotel, beautiful view , super clean and the service was perfect
Chase R.
Really nice place and convenient amenities such as a place to go to the beach and have a place to park and enjoy the day with a pool and bar. I have it 4 stars because our room didn't get very cool.
Local O.
Beautiful grounds, great service, very dated rooms.
Michael B.
The grounds are beautiful. It's an older building. Main tower is well maintained. Villas could use more love. Staff were excellent. We enjoyed our stay. Hotel isn't on the beach but their Cabana Club is. The combination makes it a good spot for a beach visit.
Mike D.

Beautiful property! The room was clean. Breakfast from the pub was actually very good. I'll definitely stay here again!

I don't know how you guys feel about this hotel. Personally, this is the literally worst hotel I've stayed. First off, they claimed themselves as 4 star-hotel, and yet they don't have nothing in the room such as microwave. Also, the highest-level of internet they can provide, couldn't even run the league of legend, how ridiculous? I even tried to plug the Ethernet to the wall, and guess what? They don't have connection, i'm just guessing the Ethernet outlet is just for show? huh? Hilton is even better than this one.
Victorious Living S.
Loved it
Jeff G.
The cleanliness of this hotel was way below satisfactory. The morning after my second night there I woke up with red eyes. Went to the doctor and found out it was viral conjunctivitis. DISGUSTING. I would never stay here again nor EVER recommend this hotel to ANYONE. Pick up the slack Marriott, cleanliness should not be an issue specially during a national health pandemic!!
Jeannie W.
Rooms are nice , customer service was great !
Allyssa N.
This place is beautiful and we loved having the kiddie pools for our 2 year old daughter. The stay was great!! Hope to visit and stay again
John E.
Great Hotel with Cabana Club ocean front beach amenities.
Phatty A.
The property is beautiful and the ability to go hangout at the beach at the Cabana Club was wonderful. They seem to be taking all the covid precautions seriously, except on the shuttle to the beach where many people weren't wearing masks and they were keeping as many people in as we're seats. I'd stay there again, but wish they'd put in more rules regarding the shuttle.
Barbara S.
Nice place to stay.

Delicious food great atmosphere!!

My husband and I went here for our 6 yr anniversary and had a wonderful time! The resort is gorgeous and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful! It wasn’t very crowded (for obvious reasons) and it rained while we were there but we still had the best time! We were on the 7th floor and had a king suite with a gorgeous view. The elevator is glass, which I was so happy about,in case there are some people out there who don’t like elevators, like me! Starbucks was open and the pub which we went to after we checked in had some wine and appetizers again very friendly staff! We ate dinner at Ruth’s Chris which is literally .09 miles from the resort. Food was outstanding! You also get access to the private beach and cabana which we didn’t get to enjoy because of the rain. We ended up going to Fernandina town center and ate at Timoti’s seafood shak. Delicious food, great service. Get the seafood soup and the calamari! Even though we only live an hour and a half away it was a great getaway and I can’t wait to go back!
Myisha B.
Absolutely beautiful!!! ???????????? Fire pits outside. Swimming pools that are open and perfect for small kids. They even have a wading pool for toddlers and smaller children!! There is a golf course with gold carts...its not open right now I don't think. Full size Starbucks. A pub with a pool table. A fresh garden...I mean....its beautiful. No matter what I say...you are still going to go have to go stand in it yourself. I can see why golf legends choose this place. One guy even looked like Tiger Woods ????
Charles
Loved it! Stayed and played venue of The Players Championship. A must for any serious golf fan's bucket list.
Linda H.
The staff acted like we were an inconvenience, they should close the hotel. The are too fearful of people and the virus, the were unprofessional in every way, including their attire. They missed an opportunity to make our experience better in light of the health circumstances that’s what the hotel business is. No music in lobby, no food or snack suggestions. VERY uninviting. I wish they would have closed, it would have been better. Never again, she even stated we’re just weird out here in Ponta Vedra were very short staffed but will try to help you if you need anything. $100+ night plus 17 parking, and poor management.
Omari E.
Gotta see and experience this golf resort!
Roquiah F.
Great service, but the villas need to be updated. They are in the middle of renovations, so hopefully they're next.

Nice staff
Michelle L.
Don’t stay at the villa, it doesn’t worth spending your money here. Room is so small and the air conditioning is so loud just like a Residence Inn. Updating... Actually I am still here at the “Villa”. Just took a “cold” shower after standing in the bathtub, waiting for hot water to come out for 10 mins. They explained to me that because the water tank is small......
Kevin B.
Absolutely lovely place! Had a great time even though I was doing work there! (Brightview Landscape!)
Georg B.
Great service! Zach was a huge help after a mix up with a reservation on my end. Great place to stay/meet.

Excellent stay at Sawgrass Marriott — loved the Sunday brunch, so delicious ????

A lovely place and excellent staff

The main hotel is very nice, elegant, great property surrounding it. We were placed in a Villa room though, which has a much older and mustier feel. There was a large party on the property with loud outdoor music late in the evening, which really took away from the serenity of the property. There was a $50 charge we were not clearly informed of, $25 "resort fee" for two "complimentary" drinks. Our room charge was already over $200/night for a less than a 24 hour stay. I didn't need to pay extra for free drinks, I just wanted a quiet place to sleep and it was all that was available on Valentine's Day weekend. Since they were free, we did get our two drinks, but the bartender wasn't much interested in us, compared to the two younger golfer guys sitting at the bar loudly cussing. Then the other portion of the "resort fee" was $17 plus tax for parking. Really thought that was included in the $200/night stay. We had extremely loud neighbors that we had to call security on after midnight. The room was clean, but again, had a lot older feel than main hotel building. I wouldn't consider staying here again unless it was at the main building. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful.
Earl P.
Very nice
Amauri Junior !.
First and last time. Never more. Very disappointed. The staff in the room was very dirty. Bad smell. Live Cockroachs. It’s not a $100,00 hotel. We paid $300,00.
Jennifer Hill U.
Great Service
Jonathan M.
Good place to eat and have a family dinners.lobby is beautiful, but you go on the first floor and above looks like a motel 6 with the ugly yellow walls and carpet
Carla V.
The hotel is old but the atention is so good.
Under The Stars Eric L.
It started at the concierge desk and extended through out the hotel. The folks at the valet had us smiling and laughing and the bar staff phenomenal. Other than the great staff, the grounds are immaculate and great for enjoying a full moon with a bourbon and a cigar. Close proximity to golf and the beach. Never did use the shuttle service. I have stayed in a lot of Marriott properties but this was top notch.
Jeri S.
Nice property, clean rooms and friendly staff. Valets were nice as well.
Jorge V.
This hotel is awesome, its away from the beach but it has a private beach club that is included for all their guests. The pools are very nice and the crab cakes at the beach club are awesome.

Great spot, good folks, caution checkin before you valet or park...confusing

Joined spa for a trial period. Staff friendly but frequently would rush to close before advertised closing time. Sauna and steam rooms often out of service.

Fantastic resort with beautiful grounds. If we are in the area again won't hesitate to stay.
Vicki S.
We went to the spa on a recommendation for our anniversary on Jan 1. The people that worked there were nice, but they did nothing to make us feel special on our special day. The couples massage was standard but my therapist did not ever acknowledge my name and my husbands never asked if there was anything that she should know or focus on even though this was a “custom massage” which we payed more for. We were not impressed. Plan on paying a 20% gratuity regardless of your experience. Better yet, don’t waste your time- instead book One Ocean - 15 mins away. They will offer you a glass of champagne when you arrive and actually care enough to ask you how your experience was- which the front desk person never did when we left as she handed us the bill and said farewell. I won’t be back but my thought is no one really cared anyway!
Robert S.
The facilities are spectacular. We love the amenities and will be back.
Brian S.
Beautiful golf resort. Lots of onsite food options. Large rooms.
Gary D.
I can't review much of the Sawgrass Marriott facilities. I was there for a sporting event, karate testing and then karate competition. However, this is a great environment for most. Large multi purpose rooms. Very clean environment. Large parking area with covered handicap parking area.
Larry A.
Polished exterior. Grimmey interior.
Judy K.
Lovely resort
Matthew M.
Stay here when I'm in town for work -- great service at the hotel but does need a few updates. Would ask - what's up with the mini golf course? More specifically, why have they completely neglected up-keep here? Thought it was a cool addition but it's been abandoned and run down when I've been x3
Laural S.
Had our Christmas party there tonight, the staff were amazing. But the fish was dry and the prime rib had way too much fat and blue. Other than that nice place.

Beautiful inside and out ! Great service very clean.Highly recommend.

Excellent Service, if I tried to complain would not be able to...very ~ very happy with my stay and activities Presentations

Great facility, beautiful rooms but shower has issues on 7th floor with lack of pressure and temperature when another neighbor is showering. Need to be fixed.

Charming, quaint resort. Excellent place to host an event. Friendly staff.

Annual work meeting. My first visit here. Nice venue
Debbie M.
Very nice place, but my wedding ring was stolen out of my room.....I specifically requested no room service, but someone used there pass key to enter the room when I was gone. Security notified, but nothing could be done.
Ben G.
While the issues that we had with our stay themselves were frustrating (including inappropriate fees, not having soiled crib sheets changed despite reminding daily, being in a 2nd floor handicap-inaccessible villa room, etc), it was above all our interaction with the assistant front office manager that troubled us the most. His offensive demeanor made us feel threatened and uncomfortable. We contacted him over the phone after we checked out to discuss an inappropriate fee. His responses were surprisingly and disproportionately rude so we let him know that we will be writing a negative review of our experience. He responded that “you can make any point that you want –you’re still going to be charged no matter what you say” and then hung up the phone on us! I did not curse or raise my voice during this conversation despite feeling like I was being attacked. We were shocked at his response, especially in light of the hotel's errors that contributed to a disappointing experience. This person (whom I won't name out of respect) should not represent the Marriott brand and will make us think twice about staying at any Marriott in the future.
Geshia O.
Beautiful resort and lots of amenities! Great entertainment for kids
Pamela
Luxurious and local don't always mean Jacksonville but this place is!!!
Robert W.
Great hotel and Staff
Clifford R.
The facility is very nice and the people were fantastic, but cold showers in am and inconsistent temps in the rooms made for a less th an desirable situation... Was there for a conference so we were stuck... Rooms are in need of some repairs as well... the room two down had raw sewage in the room on the 4th floor!!! I would consider some other option in the area... Marriott did offer a 50 credit for the stay, but that was not really worth it

BED BUGS!! Stayed here or attempted to stay here after a football game this past weekend. After doing a late checkin around 9pm at our villa, we realized that one of the beds had a bug in it. After further looking into it we realized there were bed bugs in the room!!. Called the hotel front desk immediately and unfortunately they were fully booked and couldn’t give us another room. I’m not exactly sure how hotels work especially with these types of situations, but we were offered either staying in a smaller room for our party which wouldn’t have fit us or the other option of a full refund. Very disappointed on the whole experience as we’ve stayed here before and after encountering this issue there was nothing they could offer to avoid leaving at midnight after a long day. And even after speaking with the manager a few days later, they didn’t offer anything that would’ve made the experience any better and only apologized for not being able to do more. Marriot is one of the better brands overall but this particular experience did leave a bad taste not to mention avoiding this hotel in any future stays in the area unless my feeling changes about how they take care and protect theirs guests in situations out of their control. Hopefully this was a one off, but had to share the terrible experience.

I would give this place zero stars if possible. Horrible customer service, horrible me security, horrible management. If you want to have a miserable time, and get treated like absolute dirt, come to the Marriott Sawgrass.

Love this location for a quick getaway or incredible golf.

Went to Vernon's. Excellent food. Alban is a excellent waiter.

What a great place to stay and enjoy your vacation or just some quality away time The staff here was very professional and very helpful we will return soon
Marina M.
I’ve never stayed in this resort but I’ve nanny’d for their guests with children. I highly recommend this resort if you have children because they have a great facility for the kids. There’s a playroom with lots of toys and videos, one wall is like a big chalk board, a miniature golf course, nice pools and shady areas to walk around because of the big beautiful trees. Their food is also pretty good. Starbucks and drinks in the bar area are resort prices. So hirer than normal. It’s a beautiful resort with awesome friendly staff.
Joe H.
This place is very, very nice but didn't seem to live up to it's reputation. Staff was very nice and accommodating but room service I'd call barely acceptable and the room was nothing special. Also they nickel and dime you on everything, which is not a big deal but annoying considering the cost of the rooms.
Gail T.
Excellent customer service! Wonderful facility! Our event was amazing and so much fun!!
Darlene C.
Was not impressed. Our tower had ac problems and it was not resolved in our entire stay. The personnel and valet parkers were number one. They made me feel like I owned the place
Randi C.
Stayed for a work conference. Even at maximum capacity everything ran smoothly and had a great stay.
John L.
At Sawgrass for a professional event for work. Grounds are beautiful, the food served at meals for the event over a three day period was spot on. The room was not so great. Stayed in what they call a villa, no chair to sit in and relax after busy days with the exception of an office chair. The room could definitely stand an update, air conditioner sounds as loud as a freight train when it kicks on where you can not hear the tv. I’m not a golfer but I do know that the course is supposed to be fantastic, I guess if you do come for the golf you don’t pay attention to the not so great accommodations.
Duane P.
Loved this place, clean, huge hotel, private Beach, restaurants galore, spa, golfing

Had a little snafu with changing rooms. Hunter and Shawn we outstanding. They rose to the challenge. Got me moved as well made sure I had all my property.

Great place for corporate events. As a photographer, I couldn't ask for a better venue

I’m sure 20 years ago this place was THE best hotel in the area. I stayed in suite in the Villa section and while they are very spacious they are extremely outdated. The televisions were old and on the small side, the tile floor in the kitchenette felt like it was floating and the shower fixtures had so much lime scale built up that water barely flowed from the shower head. On two consecutive days, the air conditioner was turned off when I left the room - and I mean turned off (not motion controlled). Housekeeping came in and physically turned off the thermostat ????. Overall this is an aesthetically beautiful place, but the rooms (at least in the villas) need some rehab.
Angie F.
Amenities are nice but the way the hotel is designed is the noise from the lobby is heard in the rooms. I'm here for work, and was woken up every night by people 4 levels below me being too loud. When trying to go to bed early it's impossible because of the bar and restaurants below. LEAST relaxing stay I've had anywhere. Staff should be aware and try to avoid late night loud noise. I had to request that someone ask the group to quiet down so I could go back to sleep at 3am on a Monday. Bad hotel design.

I am a banquet server and love my job. The customers are always so kind.

My wife and I stayed in the villas in July and again in August ,and we can not say enough good things about the awesome time we had at this resort!! Everything was top notch!!! During the August stay, we were apparantly mistakenly booked in to the wrong room ,due to the parking area undergoing some paving and e-surfacing, not only did the manager Christopher right this problem, allowing us to stay in the room of our choice, but he also went above and beyond the call of duty ,with regard to correcting another minor issue that occured during our villa stay! This resulted in a hotel credit being issued ,which made my wife one HAPPY lady!!!! Our intended 2 night stay also turned in to a wonderful five night vacation instead , thanks to Christopher!!! He was really great! We will never stay anywhere else when visiting this area again!!! Incredible resort with best manager and staff ever!!!!

From the moment we arrived, they were very accommodating. The Customer Service was superb.
Eric T.
This place is huge!. It's about a 35 minute Uber from the JAX. Hotel is not located in a hip hop area but more of a getaway and relax civilization type. Staff here is friendly and very helpful. Their restaurant (and room service) close shop at midnight, and the on sight Starbuck closes pretty early. I think I walked by around 1800 hours and it was closed. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. My only recommendation is their bathroom should have some clothes hook and their shower stall could use a refresh. The shower head works but I like the ones with high pressure.
Deniss P.
Beautiful. Went for a work conference, and it was very welcoming, well organized, and excellent service. The room view was spectacular.

Well maintained resort. Great customer service so far. Handles large crowds well.

I love this place. I live in Florida about an hr north and frequently take my wife and kids down here just for a night or two to relax and hang out by the pools. The hotel is nice and I love the on-site Starbucks, miniature golf, and usually if they’re not too full or busy they can accommodate a late check out so you don’t have to rush out. I also recommend the beach diner for breakfast which is about 2 min down the road south of the hotel. ????????
Heather J.
1) Room had mold 2) Room had cockroaches 3) The gate in the self park lot was broken most of the week 4) The room next to me was loud late into the night - I was traveling for business and trying to sleep I did show the mold and cockroach pictures to the front desk and they moved me for my final night. Inspect your room before setting your belongs down or getting into bed!

AC didn’t work TV was working sporadically Sheets did not fit the bed Towels were poor Shower extremely dated Room in need of makeover Not up to Marriott standards

OMG my Husband and I really enjoyed our visit to Marriott Sawgrass. We spent the majority of our time out by the pool. The poolside bar service was excellent. We really appreciated Kathy in the Spa. We will return next summer with our family and friends.
Vin C.
We’ve been to brunch several times, and the quality has really declined. Used to be great, but last time we went, they tried to fill customers up on the cheap pasta bar, and the rest of the food was just OK. Plus the price went up significantly, like $35 per person now for food that’s on-par with Golden Corral. Not sure we’ll be back if the food quality doesn’t improve. Only reason for 2 stars instead of 1 is because the atmosphere and entertainment is still good. Restaurant management, feel free to contact me when you improve and we’ll try it again.

Rooms were nice. Restaurants were nice also and the price was not crazy considering where we were. Breakfast buffet was awesome. The amenities were very nice. My 5 year old loved the pools and he loved the cabana club that the shuttle takes you to. He also decided he loves ping pong after playing there. What really made the place was the staff. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. Especially in the kid and outdoor rec areas. A guy named Alex especially who worked at the pool and kid area and the cabana club area made us feel like we had been best friends for 10 years every time we ran into him. He was always super accommodating when it came to entertainment for my little man (they had an outdoor kids movie, goodies at the cabana club...etc). Its people like Alex that make me want to frequent a hotel like this again. Excellent customer service! Also the mini golf is not really little kid fun mini golf and more serious golfer mini golf fun.

Hands down one of the most put together hotel we’ve stayed at. Beautiful property, spacious clean rooms. The property’s manager Chris Brown made us feel so welcome and really went above and beyond to make our stay even better. Also, a shoutout to Dave the valet guy. AWESOME! ????????

Staff terrific and spa a huge bonus.

We only get one or two days away from the kids a year and we got to spend one with Sawgrass Marriot today! We had an incredible spa day, Julie have me a wonderful massage (Ask for her! She's the sweetest!) and the food and service all around was PERFECTION! I am already thinking is when we'll be able to get back here. Thank you for a fantastic staycation!

You will never be disappointed at Sawgrass! Vibrant bar buzz, several themed dining choices from casual to upscale in a beautiful setting. Stayed 3/days for a destination wedding, but I could have stayed 3 weeks!
Eddie A.
Enjoyed a conference there and love the area as well as the resort! Will be back!!!

Took my son's here so we could play the Pete dye courses, especially the players. The Marriott was great . Service was fantastic. Plenty of things to do at the site. Private shuttle was excellent. Took us to a private club with beach access. Hell of a time and no driving to get back. Marriott location was a central place to get Into Jacksonville or St. Augustine. Also great local restaurants within a short drive away. Went their on a 3 day golf package. We all had a fantastic time.

CONS:<br/>HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED!!! First off! The hotel over booked, so my family did not receive the proper room accommodations we made reservations for! We were suppose to have 2 connected rooms, one for the adults and one for the kids. Instead we were put in one room with two double beds. The room itself is set up extremely poorly! There is no table, just the desk, ZERO places to hang wet towels and bathing suits. Yes there are small towel racks but the bath towel will either hang down to the floor or on the toilet. The light switches are put in ridiculous places. The bathroom switch is behind the door and to control the light on the head board you have to turn on a switch next to the door. There were eight dead wasps on the floor by the window and hair on the bathroom floor. I question when the last time the room had been vacuumed. The food was good. Not anything special just good but WAY over priced! For the amount of money we spent on rooms and food this "resort" (HA) it was extremely disappointing! We will not be back and I will share my thoughts with others so they don't waste the money!<br/>PROS:<br/>Staff were all very very friendly!!! They made all the other frustrations tolerable. The pool was a great place to spend all day with the family and there were plenty of activities to keep the kids entertained! Even though I was frustrated the entire time, my kids had fun. It made the days enjoyable as long as we weren't in the room!
Roxeann R.
This hotel is beautiful! It located close to everything and has great amenities. Staff is friendly but I must say Zach is my absolute favorite. He goes above and beyond and cares about making your stay the best it could be. He’s truly a gem!!
Allyssa M.
Stayed here for my birthday weekend. Overall a great resort. They have a convention center, so if you are planning on vacationing, make sure no big conventions are happening. Restaurant and bars were great and plentiful. Plenty to do at the resort, with an easy shuttle to the beach. Would love to come again.
Jules M.
Great service and staff - even after hours when we somehow disconnected our TV they were quick to come by and help us!
Chris K.
Very nice hotel. I hear they have a golf course as well.
Neville B.
Major mix-up with rooms booked 4 months ago. Went to another hotel.
Jeff B.
Very nice property, with plenty to do and eat on site. Had wonderful service several times from Shawn at the bell captain's stand up front, including running us to and from our dinner reservation when our rental car had broken down unexpectedly. Our major complaint was our very noisy neighbors upstairs and next door in the villas, but that was inconsiderate people, not a fault of the property. Villas were set up nicely, but could have used a bit more in the way of coffee mugs, glasses, and utensils. Golf fans, definitely take a trip over to TPC Sawgrass clubhouse and inquire about the free "storyteller" tours (another tip from our guy Shawn).
Chris A.
The resort was lovely! We stayed in the villas with our dogs. It was super easy to check in and find our place. They had a great shuttle service, but it wasn’t very clear how it worked. So I just called the front desk and she said she’d send the shuttle our way. Very convenient! There were a few issues... #1: In order to get to the villas, you have to go through the gate. The lady at the front desk told me to use my hotel key, but that didn’t work. You have to press the silver button for them to let you in and out. Kinda confusing... #2: The hotel room was not cleaned properly. The bathrooms were kinda nasty... and things were outdated and needed to be replaced. The closet doors wouldn’t shut and it looks like their had been damage to them. #3: They do provide poop bags for dogs or place to dispose of it. So we had to get some grocery bags to use and throw it in the trash can in the front which was kind of weird...
Jan H.
Nice place but needs remodeling, staff was great, food good also.

I went to my aunt's 7th B-day party at the Marriott and it was wonderful. The staff was awesome and so friendly. Every thing was organized to a tee. I would recommend them all day long. Thanks Marriott.
Heather S.
I treated my best friend to a girls spa day here recently & have been here many times prior. During this recent visit the pool lounge worker was extremely rude and wouldn’t help us at all during our 3 hours at the pool. He walked around helping others and ignored us. We even went the walk up window to order twice and was ignored. Secondly, my massage with Kenny was so painful I actually had to seek out a chiropractor for the first time in my life to fix my extreme lower back pain. I’ve never once had any back pain until after my service there. I’ll never go back. Management has since called me back to apologize and make things right. I truly appreciate this level of customer service and will give them another try.
Juan P.
Very nice place to relax

Absolutely love coming here for a relaxing massage and soak in the hot tub. Pool area leaves something to be desired, updates to furniture, cleanliness would be nice. But overall they have some of the best masseurs around.

We spent a day at the spa and the service was great, the facilities were located a good distance from the main hotel which was nice and the place had everything you would want in a spa. Steam room, sauna, hot tub, pool, etc.

Beautiful place with very nice staff, had our anniversary here and out the blue they gave us chocolate covered pineapples beautifully decorated with the words happy anniversary, it was great, totally recommend this place

The toilet paper on this entire property, coffee shop, bar, restaurant, private rooms, everywhere is bad 1 ply TP... Like prison 1 ply TP bad. In fact, prison TP is better than the garbage TP at this place. So bring your own. Or, you could elect not to stay at this overpriced hotel that doesn't consider the details when considering the comfort of their guests.

Place is ok, food should have been better, really LOUD music played in the main lobby late at night and early in the morning. No Tesla/EV charging onsite like you would expect from a nice hotel. Grounds are pretty with a nice gym.

Very nice looking hotel from the outside with nice amenities. However, the room my family was placed seemed Hastily cleaned. There was hair still in the bathroom which made me feel that the bed sheets were most likely not all changed. The AC wasn't working properly and a couple of the lights didn't work (I did check to make sure they were plugged in). For the fact is it's called a resort and spa, I was disappointed with how old and not clean the room was. Also, on two different occasions at two separate restaurants, we received a dirty glass of water. I'm not talking about water spots, I'm talking about lipstick mouth prints on the glass. The whole establishment needs to up their standards on cleanliness. The positive is that the staff was very pleasant.

They have a cool pool area. The surf station was out of commission. There is also a shuttle that will take you around town, such as CVS, restaurants, and the TPC golf course. You can also take the golf cart shuttle to the golf course. I knocked off 1 star because the parking lot is pretty far from the hotel. Additionally, I knocked off another star as there was something wrong with the parking check out machine. I tried to insert my ticket, but it would not accept it. I had to press cancel and pay the full fare. I knocked another star because we were told you cannot drive to the TPC golf course, but had to take the shuttle. When we got to the course, we were told anyone can drive to the course!

I think you'll be impressed with the Marriott Resort at Sawgrass TPC. Impressive entryway overlooking the large lake as you walk through the hotel. A nice little bar area to with seating at the bar and tables. The restaurant attached to the hotel is also quite good. The menu includes something for just about everybody.

Omg I was amazed, I almost didn’t want leave. Our room had had enough space for about 6 other people even though it was only 3. Our view was nice seeing wild birds flying to the pond. 5stars

Stayed here for the weekend in one of the stunning corner suites. You don’t have to leave the property at all: there is the spa with steam room/sauna/whirlpools, a large heated pool with bars, grass sports like ping pong & shuffle board, a full on putt -putt course for guest, and a fitness center. The grounds are stunning and extremely well-maintained. The breakfast buffet was one of best I have had at any Marriott, and the sous chef who was from Tennessee and had been there for 16 years was freaking phenomenal — sorry we forgot your name! This is a must-stay for any fellow Marriott junkie.

For the money, not even on the level of what I expect from a "newly remodeled" Marriott resort. We chose this property for a girls getaway and the advertised beach club and proximity to the beach. No hot tub for an evening dip, no concierge lounge, 45 minute wait for a shuttle back from the beach club, leaky toilet and faucet that drops and drains noisly all night, TV and power panels and lamps not working in the room, A/C that 3 days in has not cooled the room down to the selected temperature. The valets hustle, but no where near enough of them for the demand. The pictures on the website paint a picture of a property much more luxurious than what you get. The grounds and lobby area are beautiful, but it's a lot of small things hurting the overall rating. The Spa and Beach Club are also advertised and pictured as extremely luxurious, however, the amenities don't rise to the level of other similarly advertised Marriott's for the price. Overall, I feel pretty bait and switched on this property and I am a Platinum Marriott loyalist.
Candace J.

Amazing place! This is probably one of the coolest hotels I’ve been to. Awesome amenities, and service. We were here during Players week and everything was ran perfectly!
Channing D.
This hotel was decent enough. We had our holiday party here and I must say that what we paid for food was less than stellar. The room itself was dark and the decor they brought in was too small for the space. There was bigger ornaments outside the space than inside. The staff was the saving grace id this operation.

If only we could give the Sawgrass Marriott 10 stars we would!!! The property is absolutely stunning! Everything from dining, activities for the kiddos, golfing, indoor & outdoor pools, a spa and wait... STARBUCKS is at your fingertips!! The villas are the perfect setup for families that include a living as well as dining area and a private room with a comfy king bed!! We are customers for life!!!
Gurinder S.
We booked a one bedroom Villa and the room we were put in was about the size of a motel room with the tiniest bathroom. Room is outdated. No luggage rack in our room. No safe. No counter in the vanity sink. Where the heck are you supposed to put anything! I have no idea what the main hotel rooms look like but this "Villa Suite - King, 1 Bedroom Residential Suite, 1 King, Sofa bed, Nature view, Balcony" room is not what at all as described on their website. Take a look at attached photos. Don't be fooled by the lobby. Our room was in the 1500 block villas. Update: So we moved to a room in the 1100 block. This is what I was expecting. Really nice room. It's like an apartment with a bedroom and a kitchenette with a huge bathroom. This is a huge difference from the previous room. I updated my review to reflect this.
Bianca
The property is beautiful but the service is not 5 star. I'm here for a company event. Mix-ups on the reservations. Room doors didn't lock. Security was unresponsive to someone trying to get into the wrong room.

Beautiful property but beware if staying in the Villas. Our room had a consistent musty older, the bed was lumpy, the pillows are hard and the furnishings are old. But I must say all the people working there are extra nice. Which why it isn't a 3.5 star.
Veronica W.
Great property with wonderful amenities.

I loved this hotel but it has now become a hostel. They did not clean my room today. I complained and they said that housekeeping was off for the day. Do they expect their guests to bring in their soap and make their bed? It's a Marriott and I expect the Marriott quality of service. It is dissappointing to have made such a bad choice when there are much better hotels in the area. Last time here for me.
Jane J.
Definitely a nice place; we normally don’t stay in resorts, but it was business related. However, for the price, the room was not what we expected. Beds small and uncomfortable. Trash and dirt visible under furniture. Toilet kept running off and on all night. The extra resort fee was partly for upgraded internet, but I still had to sit in the lobby to get a signal strong enough to work. My husband was busy with meetings and could not use amenities, so for our $25/day resort fee he got a half-sized bottle of water. Only one pack of caffeinated coffee for two guests. Beautiful facility overall and staff very friendly. Just surprised the room was not great and felt everything was overpriced. Separate review on spa - The spa was amazing. My first experience at one and it was well worth the splurge. Staff were very professional and friendly.
Shellian D.
Amazing! My boyfriend took me there for Valentine’s Day a few years back and it was such a lovely time.
Samantha D.

Wish I could give them a "ZERO". Lots of hidden fees, including a $150 pet fee. They never told me but apparently it was buried in paperwork. I guess they expect you to bring an attorney at sign in to insure that you are not misled by the fine print. If you want to scam your customers, feel free, but don't expect them to like you!!!!!!
M W.
This place is old but they claim they just completed a 25 million dollar upgrade. They must have spent that on the golf course only. The staff was very good and very helpful though. It was not bad...just disappointing overall.
Bob P.
In main tower, on 7th floor, good luck getting your room to feel cold. Beautiful property though. Meeting spaces would go from freezing to desert. Due to the lack of temperature control, I would have a hard time staying here again.
Sarthak G.
Great resort with lots to do. Lots of grounds to walk or bike around. Beautiful rooms overlooking the grounds. You have to take their shuttle to go to the beach.
Emily D.
Very nice venue but expensive bar

The facilities and amenities are wonderful! the villas are a little outdated and dirty. Ask for a room in the main building or an updated villa.
Lauren W.
Impressed with this resort. They have events and crafts for the kids. The shuttle to the beach was great to have. The beach access with pool was wonderful and the food there was good too!

Overall a nice hotel property. Rooms are decently updated and average sized. The service at this hotel could be improved. Especially as it relates to the treatment of Marriott rewards elite members. This hotel is classified as a resort property, so be prepared to pay a resort fee and be charged for services which are ordinarily complimentary at Marriott hotels.
Charles J.
I visited Sawgrass Marriott and I was very satisfied with the accommodations. The staff were very friendly, professional, and helpful. The cleaning staff were very helpful and did a fantastic job of cleaning our room. I visited Sawgrass for business but I would stay here if I were ever in town for anything else.

Great resort for golfing, and nice views. The ocean club is nice, but the beach is not very nice.

Beautiful hotel with lots of entertainment activities on site. Dinner at the main restaurant was perfect!

Nice hotel

It was a beautiful place but our room was VERY poorly cleaned before we're arrived. $20 per day to park and $20+ a day for wifi is absurd when staying at a place like this.

Was here for a wedding and was a nice venue
Charles J.
The actual. Place and staff was amazing! A beautiful place we stayed the weekend for the wedding! It was an awesome reception and couldn't have had a more comfortable bed. The bad is the bill came do on the day to leave 2 nights there for 2 rooms was suppose to be 189 a night. Well we left Sunday morning with a 800 something$ bill wich was expected.. What we didn't expect was the extra money they took off the card after the visit my father in law had to call and get the bank and Marriott to take take these charges off still in the process of getting this money back! Well anyways the story is check your credit card after these visits he said they charged him an extra 500$ and he had to call and get it back they told him if he didn't recieve the money soon to call back and request it? Well.... He paid for the rooms paid his bill we left then days later he gets his bill with the anonymous charges on there, after he's done paid for the rooms lol! Oh no this ain't gonna stand there plan is to wow you then take you for some more! Lol loved the place but next time I'll put it on a motel and pay in cash if it means there just grabbing cash at there first chance! And this man's blind and a veteran! Sickens me to see people taking advantage of handicapped people I as well am! For the ones who say they didn't know... We both had handicapped rooms thanks for the review . Like I said if it wasn't for them gouging us then it would've been 5 stars maybe they will fix this. Also didn't have the resort use although we paid for it on the bill? I know whaaaat?? Thanks for the time hopefully we can fix this
Alexey M.
Very nice well kept resort. No complaints about rooms and service. Everything was clean and looked newish. The only downside is that it is about a mile from the waterfront. Would recommend.

This place was beautiful. There's a lot of land around to look at and enjoy. This place comes off pretty fancy, but it's still enjoyable. The rooms in the villas are nice and big. The staff is also incredibly friendly.
Kimberlie M.
I’m only at this place because my school chose it for the event. My experience this week has been some staff acting like you’re not worth their best service or attention. I booked a king and got whatever these so called double beds are. They’re basically a few inches wider than a twin. No microwave. I went to have a bath and there was no stopper for the tub. I went to the desk to have this resolved and was assured it would be. EIGHT hours later when I returned there was still no stopper. I called the front desk and she tried to give ME an attitude about it and a “deal with it” response but I refused to let it go and she said that she would “try” to see if they could take one from another room that’s unoccupied. This was after 4 phone calls. Just freaking get one and have it installed. Bottom line? That woman has zero intentions of making sure my tub has a stopper. I called one last time only now I’m irritated. Finally after 3 visits from the amazingly super nice maintenance man, I was told he would ensure I had one the next day and he delivered! I don’t care why people stay here or if they get a discount from the organization, there’s NO reason to act like I’m not a priority as your guest. So the last evening there I went to ask about the check-out times. The girl behind the desk was small, wore glasses, and was super sweet. She said I could do check-out that evening and not worry about it the next day. And to tell others. So either this was a joke gone wrong or someone seriously misinformed her... I went to do just that. I was greeted by Peter and Melissa. Peter informed me I was wrong and that’s not how to do it and I misunderstood. Lemme tell ya, I speak English and can confirm I did no such thing. Was the info wrong? Obviously and I accept that, what I don’t appreciate is being told that I’m wrong and incapable understanding someone. Not a moron. I was annoyed because I was trying to tell him that this is what’s being told to guests. He literally just repeated himself slower like I’m an idiot. I stopped when I realized this and walked away and see Melissa laugh and roll her eyes. Uhm, no. I don’t care if I did misunderstand, you do not treat a guest this way, ever. I did address this with management a couple of hours later to let my attitude cool off but I doubt it’ll really be addressed. Most of these things aren’t. Next time I’m just going to stay somewhere else should my school book here again.
Steve M.
Although I missed the green, I enjoyed the challenge.

Horrible charged my card 899 on check in and said they were only charging 50 dollars incidental then after I complained I was told there would be no more charges on my card and guess what??? Next 2 days a 137 dollars more each day was charged charged !!!! Run what a rip off even a mediocre hotel provides breakfast and does not run your card up and lie to you about the charges. They are a resort and spa not a hotel also was what I was corrected from saying several times and that I wouldn't be charged more! Run from here I am here on a university residency and the other students are saying they were not charged incidentals ! I need management to straighten the mess out. Plus ill never visit this place again

The resort is beautiful. The rooms are updated and big. The staff is very nice and attentive. Great hotel for business travel, romantic getaway, or family vacation.

Wonderful hotel
Dave Doler J.
The 4-star comes conditionally. Sawgrass is a golf and convention place. I wouldn't say it was the best for get-aways or vacation travel simply because it gets really busy. But service was good and the rooms are fine. Note to Marriott: time to upgrade the elevators. Also, you could do a little better job with cleaning. Not bad, but room to improve.
Sharan D.
Very disappointed in the actual hotel. Checked in and was happy to know I was on the first floor for work... but The room has no full length mirror, but there is the word "mirror" on the door... so the room was obviously in a state of disrepair. The toilet seat is cracked in two places, shower curtain wrinkled and stained. I was surprised because this place is a notable resort. The housekeeping staff never cleaned my room the first night, and when I called they said they saw a privacy sign on the door. There was no privacy sign.. too many other things to list about the actual room. As far as the staff goes, they are kind and professional. They could not change the room because the hotel is booked. Not a resort feeling at all. I think I just didnt hit it right!
Carrie H.
Very clean and the staff were extremely accommodating and courteous. We will definitely come back when we are in the area.

Delicious and reasonably priced Brunch at Vernon's Restaurant. I attended the Pacific Rim Brunch.
Jennifer D.
My only complaint is that the only hot tub they have is on the fenced in spa patio, which closes at 7pm and doesn't allow children. Our family just wanted to relax in a hot tub under the stars. My 6 year old even enjoys hot tubs or you could could put one out by the pools so she could splash in the shallow "baby pool". I feel like a hot tub is part of what makes or breaks a vacation for me because I have chronic pain and want to wind down after a fun day of activities.
Michael G.

WOW. First class resort. Beautiful room with excellent view. Many great restaurants and bars to choose from. Great gift shop and golf shop. Don't miss this one.

The staff are top notch! I have never been better waited on than while I stayed at the Marriott Sawgrass! My In-laws and I ate at the restaurant downstairs and even though it was about 4:00 p.m. our server was very attentive and willing to meet our ever need. Our food came out very fast and I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was... Nothing felt rushed. The next day we had a relaxing lunch by the pool... Again our server was always accessible but never hovering. I know they just underwent a huge renovation but really the building was only so much the staff were what added value.
David S.
Beautiful resort.
Tamara S.
The resort is simply beautiful and the staff are all friendly. My issue is with housekeeping. When people order room service and put their dishes outside the door, those dishes were outside in the hall for several hours. I left out in morning and came back in the afternoon, the dishes were still in the hallway. Also if we had not mentioned to one of the staff that our room had not been cleaned, I don't think it would've been cleaned. Finally, when we did get the room cleaned, they didn't vacuum the floors. Outside of this, we had a lovely time.
Navarre Area Board Of R.
Not sure about the room yet, but if booking a reservation is a beginning indicator I may be checking out early. They could not find my reservation, spelled my name wrong, had the wrong email address, have horrible phone reception, and were rude to the point where they told me to hang up and call back. It took 3 hours over the course of 2 days to find my reservation, get them emailed to me, and THEN have the "block" confirmation numbers converted to "Marriott" confirmation numbers. Unexpectedly appalling service from a quality hotel chain. What is going on?
Mike S.
A great property with food service. They have done a nice job keeping it updated. The grounds are beautiful and the experience was one I would recommend.

Having a party ready lobby in the center of the hotel so the noise can be heard in every room is not such a good idea. Outdoor lighting is poor. Security and front desk are very helpful.

If I could give them 0 stars I would, I called two weeks in advance to ask if they allowed massages to be preformed while pregnant in your first trimester which I was told YES it was no problem at all. I specified how far along with exact weeks and days and they said it was perfectly fine. So I bought $200 worth of massage package, booked our spa day, and drove over an hour to bring my friend for her birthday, only to be turned down when we get inside to check in. Will NOT be back and WILL NOT recommend. Ridiculous waste of $200, a birthday, and a road trip.
Corey L.
Enjoyed my stay. The staff was very amazing and helpful. The pub had great food and service
Clint L.
The villas are super dated. Air conditioner is 5 feet from your bed, cycles every 10 minutes, and so it goes from 100db to quiet, making it impossible to sleep.
Randy M.
Picturesque grounds, a dramatic lobby view and putt putt golf course are among the highlights of the resort. Having an adult pool on other side from family area was nice too. Full service Starbucks on site. The villas are 0.5 mile drive from main building and 3-5 minute scenic walk back. Personally I prefer rooms in main building for easier access to conference area and restaurant/bars. I talked to others who didnt mind the villas. Fitness center is 24 hours in a third building where spa is. At Vernon's restaurant I had the black grouper which was very good.
Md Mokaddesul H.
Clean and beautiful resort. They take good care of this place.
C. L.
Had a problem with unsanitary bedding and had to change it myself the first night. Otherwise, a very pleasant stay. Friendly staff, amenities were abound. Beautiful grounds . Very quiet, near restaurants and boutique style stores. Valets and bellhops are almost a must as parking is not close , and they resist allowing you access to a luggage cart. Plenty of area for strolling beneath moss draped oaks . Also a spa , restaurant, bar, Starbucks and logo store on site. A bit of a long wait to get checked out as well. We wouldn't recommend Independence day, because almost all restaurants in the are are closed as well as stores, etc. THIS IS A STUNNING RESORT.
Richard N.
Top of the line.

All in all a very nice hotel. Room was clean and spacious and aside from the odd bathroom doors nothing negative to mention at all. Check in/out was fast and easy and the breakfast buffet was as expected. Very close to the TPC courses, which was why we were there, so thumbs up all around.
David R.
Well it is south Jax at the beach. Better be nice. Thanks for taking care of our recourse !

I attended a military reunion at Sawgrass Marriott. The location was very convenient to the beaches and Jacksonville. It is located near various shopping areas. The staff was very friendly and helpful. On site there are several restaurants and beverage locations. There is a lot to do at the resort for children and adults alike. The price was a little steep, but it was a really nice property. I would recommend it to someone, but I probably wouldn't stay there myself again. I'd rather spend my money at Disney!

Did you know who was the inventor of the Cocktail Pina Colada? It was a formal Crew Member from the Bar in the Sawgrass Marriot and the private Barkeeper of the Onassis Family. The Hotel is a great and quit Place for Golfer and only 30 minutes by car from the airport.

Pretty good place. Our service was OK, the dining was also just OK, but the resort itself was beautiful. Our room was great dishes were mostly clean, and the amenities were pretty awesome. A lot of pictures of golf balls.

We call this the Poor man's Phuket. The resort is very nice. A lot to do. We played the mini golf, went swimming, went to the beach club, played the lawn games, we ate a few of the hotel restaurants. I had a very enjoyable mini break. I only wish the housekeeping service was a bit more en point. There didn't seem to be enough workers to get to all the rooms in a timely manner, also there was a lot of plant debris that was never cleaned up from our balcony and the walkways. Considering the yucky tap water, more bottled water would also be nice.
Shianne G.
The staff was super friendly and the place is beautiful!! It was much fun and we will miss it and will definitely be back !!

Top of the line. Amazing venue to relax and enjoy the sun, fun, golf and private beach area.

This place is my absolute favorite and never disappoints. My husband and I "staycation" here a lot. The grounds are so beautiful and quiet, it's perfect for relaxing. I highly recommend the Spa too.

Very beautiful property in Ponte Vedra. The rooms were a little smaller than my family is used to (2 full size beds), but very clean/neat.

Stayed hear while playing in a golf outting at Sawgrass. Make sure to take advantage of their free shuttle to the hotels Cabana club / private beach (ask concierge for details). Enjoy your stay!

Great staff. Here for a conference. Food is Good but pricey....but then again it is a resort. Great happy hour priced at ALice and Pete's pub and again good food. Be aware that at the pool bar they automatically charge you an 18 o/o service charge but do not openly disclose this. No other bar on site does this!
John Jstarr P.
It was one of the best places ive ever stayed. I highly recommend that you stay here if you ever have to stay Jacksonville.

It's the home of the PGA tour. How bad can it be? Actually, it's very nice. Alice and Pete's is a great place to get a drink and recount your round.

Amazing Stay. Incredible staff!! Property is gorgeous. The pub downstairs has the best ribs I’ve ever had. Service is awesome and can’t wait to come back with the family!

My only complaint is that there isn't a hot tub/spa for general public use. We went to the spa but no kids were allowed and it closed early. I would have liked to have a nice soak at sundown with my family.
Tali B.
The hotel is beautiful and the stuff are very friendly.

Good bed. Really relaxing. Great veiws nice water feature in the pond right off the back of hotel plenty of flowers just really nice to sit back and enjoy the veiw with a drink. Plenty for kids to do at the hotel. Kids playroom. Outside ping pong, corn hole, and giant connect four. Also two pools right there. The private beach has a pool and free shuttle from hotel, roughly 1 mile from hotel. They run regularly back and forth.
Marc S.
So glad we ignored the reviews. Brittney looked after us so well. The room was in the hotel and was great. Excellent and beautiful facilities.

Very disappointed. Booked on Expedia for $179. Then after I gave my cc no. The total came to $222.79. At "check out" I was charged $25 + tax. "Resort Fee" . They said Expedia should have told me.

My family of 7 stayed in the 1300 Villas, so our experience is based on a combination of Commons areas and the Villas as follows: PROs: designated Hotel beach area w cabana & pool, shuttle to hotel beach area, 3 pools, play area w games; very close to JAX beach; beautiful interior hotel & grounds! Friendly-helpful staff; Very fast maintenance and housekeeping services. CONS: Villas are not as nice (seems they are pushing families/kids there), No grill outside, no way to cook anything inside except kitchenette microwave; no hard coffee cups provided/no bowls, tiny fridge/coffee pot, terrible sofa sleeper, bedroom stays warmer than main area/LR and no ceiling fan; magnetic key cards perform horribly; shower curtain bar installed wrong leaving a foot open curtain on each side so water makes a mess; bathtub faucet plate came off; ungodly expensive food-drinks; Laundromat facilities is in another villa, a long walk away and charges for soap AND use of washer AND dryer, separately; no hot tub, jacuzzi, sauna, steamroom.

Shower handle was broken, outlet was out, there should he a shuttle from the parking lot, it's quite the hike. Speaking of the shuttle, he drives like it's the Daytona 500, use seat belts.

Was there for a sorority convention. They handled the 700+ attending well for meeting rooms and banquets. They even converted the closest men's rooms for our use. Didn't have much free time while there but did take the shuttle to the beach. If on a true vacation, I would recommend the villas since they had more cooking and relaxation space.

Very nice accomodations. Large and spacious lounge and bar areas attached to the lobby. I've been blessed to install graphics for the Players Championship here. Excellent and friendly staff, including the management staff and maintenance employees. No trouble getting on to the course from here, there is a private gate/cart shuttle provided on-site that gets you directly onto the course. Furthering the convenience, driving to the main parking areas for the tournament is less than 5 minutes away. Nice pool area and plenty of large outdoor seating to mingle or relax. Also, enjoy the view of the pond area out back, while chuckling "hopefully not too loud" at the tiny entertainment island green that is in the pond. Who's up for the challenge!?

We love this place, and visit every few months. This past weekend, we had two rooms and there were 5 of us. Everyone really takes care of you, and many of the staff have been there for years, but Patrick, one of the managers, always makes sure we have everything we need. When you check in, they provide free internet and beverage coupons. Love the Starbucks on sight. Love the Cabana Beach Club. I'm sorry my mom missed this trip due to health issues, because we had an AMAZING time. We will be back, again and again.

Really quite a nice hotel overall. Here for a conference and I enjoyed the pool on my first day. Drinks and food are good (even if the service staff at the restaurants is way to over zealous, trying to take food away when you pause to breath...). Room is big and comfortable. Wish there was a pod coffee machine, but minor quibble.

I arrived early and as I was headed toward the door, Ms Linda met and greeted me with her smile and it started the day off right!!! Ms Linda walked me to the locker room and made sure that I was OK with everything (Robe, locker, slippers) and then offered me a beverage, with enthusiasm and a beautiful smile. I lounged around enjoying the whirlpool jacuzzi, dry sauna and eucalyptus filled steam room for a couple of hours, along with the refreshing pool outside. Dotsy Barrett came in to retrieve me for my Elemis facial. I learned that she has been here since day one and I have never met her before. She was fabulous. She was upbeat, friendly, very knowledgeable and did a wonderful job on face. Kathy Griggs came to get me out of the relaxation room for my Elemis pedicure. She was very hospitable...Pleasant to talk to, made the time go by so fast because it was so much fun talking with her about everything. We were all having a good Girl's Talk ;). She took care of my nails and did a great job on my feet. The only thing, I would say is to use a pumice stone, in the future. From, before the moment I walked in until the time I got into my car, I was completely happy!!! Since I had been there for quite a while, LOL, Ms Linda anticipated my needs and brought me a snack. I was so thankful!!!! Blanca, the spa director, must do a fabulous job because everything was perfect. 5-Stars and 5-Diamond to me!!! Another visit... A great getaway or last minute decision. They have open availability on most days and are happy to work you in. They have a cute shop to buy gifts or indulgent items for yourself. A gym to workout, a nice size pool outside with a beautiful view and a nice snack shop that makes fresh smoothies, drinks, salads, and cheese plates. I love their sauna, steam room, and Jacuzzi. It's the perfect size and temperature and you will feel refreshed when you leave.

The hotel and amenities we're very nice. Overall I had a good stay and would stay here again if I were travelling recreationally. My one complaint is that they didn't do a good job labeling their food in the conference center. The potato salad had bacon in it and it wasn't clearly labelled. Also the watermelon feta salad was listed as dairy free when it had cheese in it. More careful labeling would help people make their food choices.
Angel G.
Nice staff and great rooms very spacious and lush grounds
Mike B.
Nice enough but because they call themselves a "resort", you don't get concierge level benefits, newspapers, and the privileges of Plat Elite. Not sure what makes this a resort but it's definitely like a hotel to me
Michele G.
Really spacious and beautiful, peaceful as well.
Place had amazing staff they were professional and sharp, the decor was beautiful and the scenery was absolutely picturistic. The prices were reasonable considering the area and the place, I want to come back again.
Stephen M.
I attended a conference here and rather enjoyed my stay. It is a resort and you may be houses in one of the many separate villas. Bring your umbrellas as the walkways are uncovered and the winter and spring months are rainy. The lobby bar is well stocked and the views are quite relaxing. My room was clean but noisy due to the A/C. I found the mattress to be quite good. The wifi was spotty in my room, though. Thankfully I didn't spend much time there.
Nathan H.
Obviously fantastic location. The grounds are amazing. This resort has a wide variety of activities as well. My room was comfortable and the bed was very good. There were some minor maintenance issues with my room and observed elsewhere (AC controller didn't work right for one) All issues were minor and didn't interfere with my comfort. All staff were friendly and helpful. We ate at the Pub twice and food and service there were average.
Linton H.
Stayed in the villas it was ok

The place is nice enough. I had a suite/extended stay that felt dated. It smelled funny when I first walked in, but the smell went away after turning on the fan. The shower didn't get completely hot and the water smells really bad.

You can tell the hotel is from the 80s, but for a mostly golf resort they have a lot of good amenities including the cabana beach club and plenty of pools and restaurants either on site or a short walk. Staff was really attentive and tried hard to make the experience special. Service and skill seemed to drop off in the evening at the pub in terms of the bartending, so I wish the main bar with good bartenders was open later than 11.

I would've given 5 stars but it took some convincing to get them to provide customer at Alice and Pete's pub... which I consider part of the resort... after sitting in the restaurant for over an hour without anyone coming to our table

Very nice hotel but they downgraded us from a king to two doubles and didn't tell me till I got to the room. Then it took half an hour to fix because the villas are far from the main hotel.

Love this place
Doral F.
Nice scenery in the main resort, unfortunately it stops there. Our room was mediocre with 2 full size uncomfortable beds. We ran out of hot water and house keeping was knocking on our door and woke us up 2.5 hours before check-out. I really wanted to like this resort but I felt unwelcomed from the time we pulled up to the valet.
Marissa W.
Excellent service and accomodations. You pay for what u get. Just keep in mind valet only$49 a day unless you are in the villas then no charge for parking in the villas. Rates go drastically up and down depending what time of year you visit. Its located in ponte vedra beach right outside Jacksonville near really nice restaurants. I usually stay in the villas. More privacy and quiet. Apartment villas sit off further on the property which are mainly the suites and no charge as u drive up to the room n parking lot. The regular guest rooms are inside but an amazing view with open glass view to lagoon and things to do for kids in kids playroom. Just bring a nanny or someone to watch them cause no paid sitters on site. Spa is great! Try the smoothies n different services. Again a nice getaway!
Luke H.
Resort is ok. They have done some upgrades that include a wave surf pool. However, rooms, mini golf, pools and retaraunts all need some serious upgrading. We’ve had some pleasant staff interactions but over all the staff is not very engaging or service oriented, especially in the restaurants. The help in the pub is just terrible. I expect a lot more from this type of resort. Not a horrible experience, but we would not stay here again.
Pete S.

Like everything in life you get what you pay for it cost a little bit more to stay here but it is worth it. The customer service is outstanding as usual, the facility itself albeit a little old still in excellent condition. Absolutely amazing venue!
Dianne R.
Beautiful place, great service. Missed 5 stars because they couldn't get the hot water in my shower regulated. Had to have it adjusted both mornings of my stay.
Nysha B.
The Spa is nothing short of amazing!
Mark K.
The hotel rooms are great, but the restaurants suck! The pub is expensive and we paid $40, including 20% tip for two sodas, some guacamole and chips, and some nearly meatless nachos made with cheese sauce as opposed to real cheese. When we went to get plates at the breakfast buffet the next morning, there were four or five plates that were stacked together dirty --absolutely disgusting! Then the waitress took forever to get us coffee and water. The manager ended up comping our meal. Needless to say, we chose to eat off property for the rest of our stay.

Great view and exciting place to be

We had so many problems when staying at the resort. Filled up the bathtub and then the water wouldn't turn off. Plumber in the room until 1230a the first night. Second day the tub wouldn't drain. Had to hold the lever down on the toilet for the duration of the flushing or it wouldn't flush. No breakfast included. Can't use the hot tub unless you pay a $20/person/day spa fee. Door to the room is heavy and slams with great force. $10/day resort fee. $24/day vallet fee. Nothing is included. You can use their pool but beyond a simple pool there wasn't much of anything that came with the expensive and issue filled room. After the resort we went to a Fairfield inn and it was incredible and so much cheaper than this resort. We will not be coming back or recommending this hotel to anyone else. The only reason we stayed at the resort was because we went to the weekend to remember conference.
Maryann B.
It's an ok place but nothing to brag about. I went here on a business meeting and while the food was delicious the grounds just didn't seem to have much to view.
Kim K.

We only stayed for one night and had 6 multiple charges to our account to a s& m something so watch out cause someone is stealing money from old women, families, and drunk people and security isn’t doing anything to investigate!
Andrew S.
Amazing resort. They were exceptionally helpful with everything we needed. The food in the restaurant's was absolutely delicious. I would recommend it to anyone and will surely stay again.
Meghan R.
Beautiful resort with lots to offer for the whole family. The location is fantastic set back from busy roads but close enough to plenty of shopping. Traveled with a lot of people so a variety of tastes and there was something to do for everyone. The pools at the hotel are very nice. Only 1 is heated so we stayed there since it was still early in the season. The beach is a quick shuttle ride away and that is probably the best feature. Easy access, beautiful pool, great bar, and so much more. There were only 2 downsides here 1. The spa staff was not as friendly as other Marriotts. We got a spa service one day and they were lovely. However, we returned to use the hot tub and they were extremely rude. 2. There is no hot tub available to guests unless you are platinum or get a spa service. For some that isn't a huge deal but it was something we found lacking.
Aamina I.
Everything is good, stay food and staff.
Jim G.
I went there for a corporate event for which the organization was well-prepared and capable of handling for a company of 1,000 people. The facilities were cleaned, organized, and well suited for our annual event. I wish there were more restrooms near the conference center instead of having two go all the way to the front of the conference Hall.

I've been coming to Sawgrass for years and always had some kind of issue. Not Today! Marci Taylor at the American Gator Club went above and beyond to make my stay profound and prestige in every condition. She cares and will do "all" in her power to put a smile on your face. I feel LOVED! Great service, great food and great care. Thank you Marci for one hell of a great stay!

Loved it, beautiful resort! We stayed in a villa that was clean and spacious. Beautiful resort grounds with many amenities but I feel it is way overpriced for the room and the resort. But overall I'm happy!
Michael P.
Great Hotel great venue for conference friendly efficiencies staff! And, great food at both the restaurant and pub.
Carol B.
As far as a place to stay, the Sawgrass Marriott was wonderful...lots of places to eat and drink (albeit a bit pricey....happy hour at the Pub is a good deal) The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. And I really like the way the upper and lower lobbies were arranged into small conversation and activity areas. However, it was not a great place for a conference as meeting rooms were inconvenient and had light fixtures that presenters had to dodge to avoid concussions. Another large room held two presentation sessions with only a small room divider between. It was difficult to attend to sessions as you could easily hear next door. This was remedied the next day. The one shining factor at the conference was the excellent Saturday dinner. However, I learned it was $145/person. So, great place for a family vacation if you can afford it), not the best place for a conference.
Caesar J.
Beautiful space
Dan P.
I don't necessarily feel that this place is up to a typical Marriott. I was first placed out in the Villas which remind me of a slightly upscale Motel 6 with exterior entrances. They then did move me into the main building which is better. The internet is not great. Everything is not in one building. There is a nice open area with a bar that opens out onto the water. However this is not on the beach, I think only people who really want to play golf should probably consider this place
Traci F.
Our company holiday party is here every year and it is always very nice. The area is beautiful, employees are great, and the food is delicious. Though I've never stayed in the resort as a guest, I know many people that have and said it's wonderful.
Barbara B.

Disappointed. Could be a great resort. The housekeeping left trash and trays for 5 days outside their room or closet. Gross. The front desk staff was excellent and the bar staff was fantastic.
Alison M.
The customer service is wonderful! I was sad because I didn't make it to Starbucks in the lobby before they closed, for my afternoon coffee. I asked the front desk for just one packet of coffee for the coffee maker in the room. Less than 5 minutes later, the nicest gentleman brings a bag with a handful of coffee packets, and all the fixings in case I didn't drink my coffee black. The view from our room was great, and the room was clean.
Carol A.
Very nice, expensive.
Miss D.

Icmhg A.
The room is nice and clean which is a plus. The management is doing a terrible job with communication to guests though. There is nothing in the room to describe amenities. There are a lot of them here, but you have to know about them and ask for access. There's a shuttle but no one tells the guests anything about that. There's a spa on site which costs an additional fee. The advertised hot tub and heated pool are both in the spa so you can't use those without spending an addition $25 per person per day for access. There's in room Wi-Fi advertised. But that costs an additional so $19.95 and doesn't work. It keeps booting me off. Continental breakfast is $17 per person per day.
Stacey C.
Absolutely wonderful resort!
Rebecca W.
Beautiful facility though inadequately staffed for high occupancy. Check in took a long time, rooms were not cleaned until 4 in the afternoon, and several times waiters had to be ambushed to put in an order for food or drink.
Terri F.

Nice place if you like golf. Stayed here as part of a family wedding. The hotel certainly had amenities... But as I don't golf I felt most of the amenities were wasted on me

I stayed here for a conference held at the resort. The room was large and very comfortable. I loved the view and you can even open the window a little bit! I was super productive on the in room chase. The TVs have Netflix, and all you have to do is put your account info in. The conferences side was first class. Good food, comfy chairs, and very professional staff! I can't say enough about how polite and professional all of the servers, assistants, and bartenders were. Also, the pub is awesome! I felt like I found my favorite bar only to discover that it's 1000 miles away. I definitely want to come back here for a leisure trip.
Adrian A.
Fantastic venue. Went for a work meeting and found the location to be stellar, the people to be wonderful, and the interior to be classy and cozy at the same time. While I only attended a work conference here this time, I would absolutely stay overnight in the future.
Kevin S.
Clean hotel with polite and helpful staff. I always enjoy visiting this beautiful property.
Craig S.
This location is a litter older and dated. I expected much more for the money paid. Somewhat disappointed in the “looks”. Marriott could have done better. Nevertheless, this location is good for what I needed... client meetings in the area.
Cindy P.
Great resort, friendly bell and front desk staff, very clean, beautiful grounds, good food, however the room service was very slow. We asked for additional pillows and towels, waited for an hour, and had to call again.

I was there for work so unfortunately I was unable to utilize the resort. But the service was good and food, although over priced, was good... I was given 2 free drinks with my booking and enjoyed my time with the people i was there working alongside.

Was treated to this resort as a surprise getaway for my birthday. Great location and great service. Massage service at adjacent spa was heavenly. Bus service to and from the beach with never a long wait was great. Drinks at one of the bars were kind of pricey due to the amount of liquor in the drinks but I would have preferred taste over strength of alcohol content.

We were very happy staying here in the villas. The grounds and facilities are quite nice. We took advantage of the resort amenities, with free transportation to Ponte Vedra Beach Club. Very nice. With 3 teenage boys to impress, Jacksonville Beach and staying at Sawgrass Marriott was a success:)..we do not play golf, rather went to the ice rink for stick and puck;), but the golf course is definitely an attraction!

Went for the Starbucks, 10/10 Starbucks, they made my grande black Pike Place perfectly... Would highly recommend

It was nice to come back to a very nice hotel after a long day on the links. Definitely recommend staying at the Marriott very polite and very professional staff. The pool area was very nice had a tiki bar and a wave pool. Ping pong tables, chess set and a mini daycare for the little ones. The rooms have great bedding which to me is very important. Definitely recommend if ever in Ponte Vedra Beach area.

The biggest disaster ever ! From the minute we arrive everything was a problem. We changed rooms three times in approximately five hours. First room didn’t have a bathtub ( like we requested ) and phones did not work. Second room, the heater was broken and was freezing cold in the room, toilet was clogged, and bathtub water didn’t drain down. They put us in the third room where phone was not working, faucet was broken, no water pressure so we couldn’t even take a bath. All this happened in the New Year’s Eve, all our family were so tired from moving from room to room, so we canceled our New Year Eve plans and went to sleep at 10pm. Next morning I woke up with huge itching and bedbug bites allover my neck and chest. We also find out we needed it to change the room again, because they couldn’t fix the phone and they didn’t have the part to change the bathtub faucet. We had travel all over the world and we have never face such an inconvenience in any of the hotels we stayed before. On top of all this miserable people working in this hotel , having attitude like somebody’s force them to work there. We decided not stay there any longer, we packed and left the very next day. We will never ever come back to this hotel again. We highly do not recommend this hotel to anyone !

Excellent resort for a short stop or for a long weekend. Staff is superb and the quality of the hotel is really high. Good selection of food and drink, including an in house Starbucks that you can charge to your room. WiFi is available everywhere on hotel premises and works really well.

This place was beautiful. Yes it was not perfect but the staff was extremely kind and accommodating, I wouldnt trade our stay here for anything

Not a resort fan in general but had a great stay. Great place to relax for a few days during a non busy part of the year. No advantages to be a Marriott Platinum so will try another property next time...

What a beautiful hotel, the elegance, and the scenery, And the fanciful wonder this place brings makes it all worth it in my opinion. The rooms are clean and tidy, the staff are very nice and helpful, and I am just so taken back by how mesmerizing the whole of it all is out together. The resort is lovely. We stayed in an executive suite that had a separate sitting area with panoramic window views of the pool and resort area. Check-in was a breeze. Later attended a function in one of the ballrooms and had a great time. Staff was pleasant. The pub seemed understaffed.

Lovely place, fillet was amazing, but dessert was nothing special. Although minor issues, they seem to have been sorted quickly

Nice hotel, had a lobby room with lagoon view. It was rather loud at night with 2 bars below and loud groups really making it difficult for sleeping. The resort is on the TPC STADIUM course and provides transportation to all the local courses.

The service was superb, but the noise level from the open design & hard beds made it less than perfect.

I attended a 3 day conference for my work. While there I stayed in a regular room, which was very pretty and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and accomadating. The grounds were beautiful and clearly marked and groomed. The only drawback is the Wi-Fi was not free. I feel for the price of the resort it should have been icluded. Many less expensive and luxurious hotels offer this service free of charge.

This seems to be a great value. The resort is pristine and service wasn't robotic. You expect the front desk to be nice but the staff wandering around often smiled and offered me a hello. The steak at their restaurant was very good.

The resort was great,it has variety of activities for the whole family. Several pools, a wave machine, bonfires at night, pool tables, chess tables ... For many different taste. We didn't get to spend enough time to enjoy all of this, i recommended a longer stay of 3 days at least to get to enjoy more of it and the spa, mini golf. The fun opportunities are endless here. Staff was polite and the room was clean and comfortable.

Fantastic NEW Furniture in lobby. Soft grey leather chairs and more seating.

Rooms are nice. Staff needs a little more coesion. By the way there is a courtesy shuttle to TPC not mentioned anywhere.

Beautiful hotel. We started in a villa suite which was very nice. A little dated, but great for a family. We had lunch in the pub in the hotel which was very good. Tons of stuff to do; pool, mini golf, kids lounge, and lots of scenery.
Kelly R.
Accommodations were wonderful. Staff was polite and helpful. Only complaint is that I was not able to get into my room until 6 pm when check-in was by 4.

I stayed at the Marriott for a business meeting. While I was unable to get a room in the main tower, they were able to accommodate me with a sweet in the Villas not too far of a walk from the main building. The room is delightful, a great View, and certainly made this stay very comfortable. The staff did a great job of ensuring that all of my needs were met and the facilities were very conducive to an easy weekend of work. I highly recommend this Marriott.
Alicia E.
Nice location, good meeting space, villas can be humid
Jon N.
Great time beautiful beach
Bill L.
Stayed here 3 nights while attending my Grandsons Memorial. Rooms were clean and spacious and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Had dinner at Alice and Pete's on lower level. Would recommend this for anyone wanting lunch, dinner or drinks.
Nick
Very nice hotel. By far the most beautiful I've ever stayed at. Self-parking requires a very long walk and pizza places will not deliver here. But there's a Starbucks inside and a restaurant.
Duane M.
It's a beautiful hotel but I'm really here to do work and not to enjoy myself.
Azam M.
Stayed in the villa. Good. Spacious. Outdated. Perfect golf vacation.

Really like the new surfing trainer. Rooms were clean and the grounds are beautiful.
Michele J.
This hotel is in a great location. It is very high end. The rooms are beautiful. The grounds are amazing.
Patrick T.
It's really quite beautiful but the villas are so far away from the convention center it gets a bit daunting being at events here.
Casy P.
The room i was in was beautiful. I had the chicken tocos, they were awesome. The whole place had me in awe, I have nevsr been somewhere so nice.

Great hotel. Great course except for the 5.5 HOUR ROUND DUE TO BEING CARPATH ONLY. Also, the room didn't have a microwave.

Clean place, but had hard time doing volenteer work due to strick rules

Beautiful venue for a wedding

Beautiful property, tons of stuff to do. It is a real resort.

Very small menu. We ordered more simple meals, and they were not to satisfactory... There's a ton of room for improvement. The waitress was very polite though.

Great hotel- I can consistently get rooms for around $100 here, which is a steal for Ponte Vedra Beach

I stayed at the Sawgrass Marriott for a business meeting. Beautiful hotel. I would recommend definitely recommend this resort to anyone who loves to golf. Unfortunately I was there for business and I didn't utilize the pool or spa.

Good environment

It's SO beautiful place to relax and enjoy a so damn awesome landscape view.
Dr. F.
Beautiful resort! The staff is the best here! They are very friendly and helpful.
Robert J.
The views from the room were wonderful. The driver of the shuttle to the Cabana was very friendly. The Cabana pool is beautifully kept and warm 24/7. And beach access is awesome.
Jesse Be C.
We loved everything this resort had to offer. Rooms are nice and staff has been great. Only things we didn't like was food is pricey, no hot tub, and couldn't get help with my bags(busy at check-in) so I had to carry them all the way for their parking lot that feels like it's a mile away. Besides those few things we loved the place.
Michael K.
Great place to stay when visiting TPC Sawgrass. Staff was extremely helpful and services were outstanding. Thank you for a wonderful time.
Mike M.
Great service and food was good.

Wow! Just checked in and really disappointed.... not the quality I expect from a Marriott. Rude customer service at check in. Out dated, bad smelling, and dirty room- dirty toilet, dirty wrinkled sheets, dusty room, dirty vents, dirty mirror, beaten up remote, burnt out light, broken iron, dirty gross light switch, and a warped, used, and germy food menu was left on my pillow. Small counter space in bathroom, no USB ports in room, no smart TV, and not shuttle service.... will be staying here for a few more days. If we weren't here for a wedding we would be leaving and going to another hotel. *Update: woke up at 2 am with an itch on my arm and found several bed bug bites! Contacted Marriott and have not heard back yet! Avoid this hotel at all costs!!!
Benjamin A.
Visit was great! Would come back.
Christina V.
Nice room but I don't care for the extra fees and no coffee in room sucks you get one coffee the first day and that's it
Christopher C.
Fabulous
Brad B.
The villas were amazing. My kids loved the pool. The shuttle picked us up right from our room and took us to shopping and the beach. Will definitely come stay again soon.
Bonnie A.
The hotel has recently been remodeled and The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The food was very good and there is a Starbucks on the premises which is a plus. The resort property is nice, but the pools are small and if you don't golf, there isn't much to offer. We did a spa treatment which was great, but the pool there had old looking furniture and had a stained bottom with a lot if leaves. Not in line with what you would expect at a spa. We have been to several Marriott resorts and this is my least favorite.
Donna B.
The massage was wonderful. The staff could have given better instructions of the lay out of the spa. The pool was full of leaves and the area looked dirty. The sauna was not hot. The steam room and Jacuzzi were nice. The supplies for bathing and drying hair etc was nice. There was only one changing room in the locker area.
Anna H.
We stayed two nights in the villas. Villas are great if you are looking for a little more space. Pools are nice.
Local S.
Good resort with great beach access. Service was better than average. Upkeep and attractiveness of the villas was so-so. Spa was amazing. Worth a second chance, maybe in the hotel rooms next time.
Brian P.
This is a golfers' paradise. Golfers on the course all day really don't care about their room surroundings. I don't see this as the first rate PGA Golf Resort that they lead you to believe. To me it looks like it's seen its better days. If you're visiting just for the resort and not here golfing well, I wouldn't come. Marriott has some top notch resorts in their Vacation Club that make this place look like the Holiday Inn. So, if you're golfing, have a blast, if not go someplace else. Food here is very expensive. I paid $42 for an 8oz Fillet Mignon dinner and another $8 for 1/2 salad. While it was expensive, it was excellent and cooked exactly as I requested. Vernon's Restaurant in the Resort gets 5 stars with 5 $$$$$. Lol. The room, Villa Executive Suite... 3 stars.

Beautiful grounds. Everything is well-kept, clean, and upscale. Enjoyed the scenery most of all. Quiet rooms, comfortable beds, quality toiletries, amazingly friendly staff. Allowed us a late checkout on our last day even after letting us check-in three hours early. Loved having a shuttle that took us to the cabana and beach - so much fun! Pools to choose from, lounges, bars, restaurants, shopping, and right on the beach. No complaints. We are already planning our return to Ponte Vedra for next year and will most definitely stay at the Sawgrass.
Adam L.
Great location and loved the beach access. To bad the had a kitchen fire. Oh well not their fault.
Jon D.
This is my fourth time staying here. Awesome resort and haven't even play golf. Private beach club is super nice. Pools are spectacular. All the bars and restaurants are outstanding. The staff is always nice and super helpful. Would recommend to any one looking forward to coming back next year... I may even get around to golfing.
Evan C.
Hotel is great but villas are disappointing

Chris p. Made my day. Totallly made the whole trip worth it.

Rj P.
This place is gorgeous! The staff is so friendly and professional. Have to be honest though, a place and patrons like this can make you feel uncomfortable if you only have $50 in your pocket. But either way, the bar has amazing food and drinks and the staff make you feel like you belong no matter who you are. Enjoy your time
Michelle T.
Attended a workshop there. Hotel is very nice, convenient parking, courteous staff, and we'll maintained facilities and conference center. The lunch provided by the hotel was five star.
Matthew W.
Bed wasn't really that comfy. We requested one bed but were given two full mattresses instead. If you try to go to sleep at a normal hour you will be alarmed to find how noisy the rooms are. Almost all room doors face the wide open lobby and sound echoes throughout the hotel. Oh and the "HD tv's were so outdated and fuzzy' the was not enjoyable. Room service was expensive.
Virginia C.
Large resort that is a favorite with golfers.
Lee Ann H.
Beds were not comfortable to sleep two people in for a double bed. Breakfast was amazing and loved the variety. Loved the shuttle to and from the beach.
Leah C.
Gorgeous area.
Jonathan S.
Very nice family getaway, everyone was nice, great place, loved it.
Rina M.
Very spacious resort near beach access.
Keith A.
Overall resort is beautiful with a lot of amenities in the main hotel area - which is the only reason for 3 stars and not 1. We ended up in one of the older villas (1700 building), and it was not worth the money... walls were paper thin - could hear almost every word of our neighbors conversation and every time they mixed a new drink we would hear the ice rattle. Got there late, so waited until the morning for a shower and the shower wouldn't drain. Called around 9 am for someone to fix before the 11:00 check out, and at 10:30, still didnt have a tub that drained. Called to complain and they were very nice, and gave a small credit, but definitely not what i expect from Mariott. #onlyatsawgrass

Outstanding hotel. Superb staff, excellent conference facilities, and impeccable grounds. Older style, but with nice modern touches.

A handsome resort adjoining the Sawgrass golf course, the Sawgrass Marriott offers luxury with a leisurely atmosphere. Lovely landscaping, a wide range of activities on site, and comfortable surroundings will please the vast majority of visitors. The prices vary widely for those just seeking a room and those looking for the experiences that are offered in package deals. We really enjoyed our room. It was clean, modern, spacious, and extremely comfortable. The large windows yielded handsome views of the very green landscaping. Service was very good on the housekeeping end. Ours was friendly, fastidious, and unintrusive, but there was a day where she didn't appear until late in the afternoon for some reason. The front desk was alright. They were professional and quick, but I wouldn't say that they felt warm or particularly friendly.
Jason C.
We're locals so just stopped in for drinks and to shoot some pool. Had beers, so can't really speak to their drink making ability, but I'm sure the cocktails are good. Only had two pool sticks, both of which were damaged and hard to play with. Otherwise, had a good time and definitely will go back.
Tess C.
It is a beautiful resort and I would definitely go again. The food was amazing and so was the service.
Tanaka M.
Beautiful hotel has villas a spa and private beach it is simply amazing
Billy B.
The villas here are very spacious and provide a nice alternative to just another hotel room.
Bea C.
Nice resort, associated with the PGA golf course, has a convention center as well. Staff was friendly, parking included (except valet). The retention pond looked a bit too algae overgrown for my comfort (mosquito breeding ground?). The room was nice and clean, although the carpet bothered my sinuses a little. The bed was comfy with overhead reading lamps and the furniture were adequate (current technology). Within a few blocks of a beach area and a short drive to a beach area with shops and a "boardwalk". Several good eateries in walking distance. Standard price slightly over, but good value for special discount pricing. I would return.
Lisa T.
Awesome visit. Plenty to do or good for relaxation.

Stayed on 4th of July weekend -staff was really nice except one person at the front desk -rooms are typical Marriott rooms -bathroom was large -changed the lobby bar area since last stay... not for the better, and it closed too early -beach club was packed, service was great, long lines for the shuttle -one elevator was out so long lines to get up and down floors
Daniel S.
This place is hard to rate. Compared to most other resorts I've stayed at, this place is pretty poor. Being a Marriott elite member I had many more problems than normal. To start, the air mattress brought up deflated over night while sleeping on it. The bathroom does not have any privacy. The sinks are in the same section as the toilets but there is no lock on the door and there is a large crack that you can see right through. Not good when you are traveling with people who aren't family. The hallways weren't very clean and one of the elevators was broken the WHOLE time we were there. The pools were subpar and the spa wasn't the nicest. Nothing really to do with the people that worked there, it just isn't nice or worth the price. Most Marriotts give you free chairs and umbrellas at the beach, but go figure, not here. The good: The desserts were great and drinks were fine. The lagoon was cool and the beachside cabana was the nicest part of the whole resort. That's pretty much all it really had going for it.
Billy A.

Great Staff..Beautiful Place...Good Food...Strong Drinks..Nice Room 5 Stars Across The Board
Leena D.
Its nice.
Robert D.
Very nice looking grounds, staff was very friendly, prices are a little steep, but it is a resort. Only real complaint was that due to the way the conference selected rooms, we couldn't change / ask for rooms, and my girlfriend and I ended up sharing a small bed.
Jeffrey D.
Amazing resort

Beautiful resort. Lovely convention halls and food. Rooms have a good view in general, and it's a very clean place with friendly staff.

Attended a convention here and stayed in a very nice condo. Staff was very nice and always greeted you with a smile. Convention food was good and service was great. Room had a few maintenance issues but not a deal breaker. Over all I was very satisfied with the experience.

This resort is BEAUTIFUL!! We're here for the ne 4 days and I look forward to all the amenities that the resort provides! The staff are wonderful and very accommodating. 10/10
Bernadette L.
Dated decor. Small rooms. May have been grand in the '90s. Feels like a bunker. Lots of beige. Facial was ok.
Greg J.
Generous location, very nice rooms, great staff. Excellent venue for meetings and events. Only complaint is the room diagram shows a stove when there if not one, not even a toaster oven in the largest suite. Brought burgers and pizza to cook for a weeklong team event and they don't even have an outside BBQ we can use. Else 4/5 ????
Trevor O.
Go here every year. Love it. Hotel is clean. Beach club is awesome

Our first visit to Sawgrass Marriott, and hopefully we'll be back soon. It was a great location for us "townies" to drive out and stay near the beach. Check-in was quick. Stayed in a Villa suite with adjoining room which was great for our family of 5, plus grandparents. Pools were a good size with shade for those who prefer a break from the sun. Just a short ride over to to beach club which just gave us trouble because the toddlers couldn't decide between beach or pool. Impressed with the friendly, prompt service, and we've stayed in nearby resorts that could learn a thing or two about service from Marriott. Just minor issues with the door lock and the parking pass for the Cabana Club. Suggestions would be for the website to reflect free self parking, and Marriott Rewards internet should be an option when signing into wifi.
Ronald B.
The ultimate in luxury and entertainment at a reasonable price!!

I was there for a karate America event for black belt testing but the service there was excellent I would refer anybody to go to this beautiful place

The beds were very comfortable and the resort is beautiful. I had an issue with the A/C in my room. Even though I had it set to 68, I still woke up sweating. The shower head had a lot of calcium build up, as well as some yellowish spots in the ceiling above the shower

A.c. didn't work well, room was incredibly hot and had 3 fire alarms go off at 2 in the morning, aside from that the hotel is really nice, and I think we just got unlucky, still willing to give it a second chance.

The main lobby it's beautiful with large window and amazing views it's really a sore to see. The rooms are perfect and there is so much to see and do right in location. The just recently added a wave pool for surfing tons of fun!

The Best, everything from staff to the facilities, the Best!

They are everything you want in a vacation or conference stop.

First class service. Fun atmosphere. Excellent rooms. Be sure to try their "Florida Mule" take on the more famous "Moscow Mule". Maybe step out back with a few of your pals and colleagues to take a shot at landing your ball on the infamous floating green. Or chill by the pool as the drinks keep coming. Tomorrow is our tee time and I can't wait to hit the links. Just remember, people, it's Florida. Apply sunscreen and keep hydrated.
Ron A.
Great service.

Since I was not an actual customer, I was treated with respect from the valet staff. The location was great for the TPC events that they hosted. TO me, it seems to be first class hotel and organization.

Good Food, nice location, shuttle available most of the time to take you to the beach. I had only one bad experience; the shower head was moldy I think it made me sick. However, when I asked them to replace it on the third day, they did. I didn't give it five stars because I thought the room and bathroom could have been generally cleaner during my stay (1 week) considering this is a Marriott Hotel.
John S.
Really nice place. Would go again

Very pretty, nice amenities. Mandatory extra resort fees, and wifi is an extra 14-20 dollars per day

Lovely views, truly a memorable place to have a wedding! The only disappointment (pretty small) was the construction going on in the lower are of the main lobby right in the middle of the day on a rather busy day.
Shane K.
Great place to meet for a client meeting
Rod A.
Recent stay at this resort on the villas. Enjoyed everything about the stay. Breakfast at the hotel to the 2 pools that were both great for me and my family. I recommend the villas as it gave us the room to have guests and enjoy a different experience vs a hotel room. Great stay and hope to enjoy a stay again at a future date.

Everyone was nice except bell attendants.

Came for the MathCounts competition so we got a free room. Can't complain about the room prices too much. Nevertheless, the food and service is not the best, and some of our group members had to switch rooms because of leaks, live bugs, and sewage smells in rooms. The restaurants are ridiculously overpriced (even the Starbucks was more expensive than its ridiculous usual) and the coaches who didn't get free meals found ourselves paying $35 for a meal consisting of a roast beef sandwich, an apple, and a cookie (for example). The lobby is not at ground level, and so there are rooms both above and below the lobby level. Needless to say, the elevator traffic was hectic and unnecessary, and we found ourselves having to take a trip from the lobby up to floor 5 and back, and hoping nobody else got on our elevator who was going up, just to get to floor 1. Overall, this was not a very fun experience and despite the semi-friendly staff, it is not nearly as nice as it is made out to be. If we were required to pay the normal fee of over $300 a night for the room instead of getting a free one from MathCounts, this would definitely be a 1 star review.
Marios K.
Resort is beautiful. Villas are spacious. Overall a very nice family oriented resort.
Kami M.
Beautiful, spacious, great rooms, staff was extremely friendly, lots of activities.
Joel W.
Fantastic resort. We chose this hotel for a staycation, living just 30 mins away. However, being here really does feel like we've traveled much farther away. The pools and beach club are first rate. Access to TPC Sawgrass is a completely different level. The villa we stayed in was perfect for our family of 5. Plenty of space to relax. We can't wait to return!
Hanne V.
Absolutely love the breakfast here, you get your omelettes custom made and they're SO good, like one of the best omelettes you'll ever have. Staff is very friendly too
April H.
The breakfast buffet is very good. Bagel and lox, made to order omelettes or eggs, the traditional breakfast foods and more
Kathryn M. S.
Pub was nice, golf course view, loved the outdoor seating on a sunny Florida afternoon. Good food for a quick bite. Full bar.
Dan M.
A great Marriott property. Stayed here for a business event and their conference rooms are great. Plus the proximity to TPC Sawgrass is a huge plus!
Lakeysha B.
Huge property with lots of gourgeous views and fantastic amenities. I wish I could have enjoyed more of the outdoor area but it was cold when I attended my conference. The staff was superb and the food, drinks and restaurant outlets were utilized on a daily basis. My heat did not work in my room and I notified the hotel the following morning, the next night I hoped for warmth but no such luck. So I remained cold for all three nights of my stay. As long as I stayed under the comforter I contained heat. Hopefully if I visit again it won't be cold in Florida. Make sure you catch a shuttle to the Cabana Beach Club a hidden bonus.
Sandy M.
We enjoyed our stay in the Villas at the Sawgrass Marriott. The room was well decorated, spacious, and clean. We loved the huge balcony. The resort itself kept us busy, with long paths to walk, free putt putt, pools, and (the best part) free shuttle to the beach.
Peter H.
What an amazing property. Elegant, sophisticated, and also very modern. TPC golf just down the way. Swimming pools, full service spa, bar, Starbucks, and restaurant all on site.

It's out dated as far as rooms go and in hotel ... the grounds are nice

This is the worst hotel ever! I travel around the US and around the World for work and pleasure and this hotel by far takes the CRAP award! I was excited to see it since it's a famous golf location and came here this month with my Company. The first night I arrived at 5PM and they didn't have a room ready, yes 5PM! I had to be ready for a function at 6PM. So after traveling from Seattle to Florida I had to wait another 25 minutes for a room. That was just the start. That night I got into bed and was really itchy. I could understand why, has. Ever happened so I called downstairs to let them know I would need the sheets changed in the AM. Maybe I'm allergic to the detergent who knows. Then the fridge made a noice all night in the room. Well the fridge was the last of my worries for the second day I developed bites all over my body! Why, well because they have bed bugs!!!!! Disgusting. Not to mention a lady was screaming crying fighting with her partner the whole night from 3-4:30 am! I had to call security twice. I left the hotel the next day and went to the doctor when I got home. Had to treat everything including myself for the bugs! I would never stay here or another Marriott again unless you want a Hostel type stay! No thank you!

Great Hotel
Red Eye P.
Villas are older....with 2nd floor villas being spacious. Hotel rooms have nicely kept beds floors and furnishings.
James M.
Awesome place to vacation
Clark R.
Ridiculously overpriced normal Marriott. If not worse. They had a CD playe/alarm clockr in my room that I had in 2003. The phone looked like it was used by an 80's hooked to turn tricks. There were golf balls everywhere to remind you you were close to a golf course. Overall, okay.
Trey L.
Great place
Veronica S.
Nice hotel
Lauren S.
I just met up with other people there.
Kiera Russell L.

Beautiful place for a wedding.
Dustin M.
We were attending a wedding for a good friend of ours. My wife and I had a great time. The food was delicious and the service was top notch. We had family and friends staying in the villa and they were very nice as well. Overall it was a great time and I highly recommend this Marriott for any occasion.
Pablo O.
Service was very good. The room was comfortable, although the sheets appeared over-worn.
Nathaniel M.
The grounds are beautiful and the room was great. Staff is wonderful.
Ryan H.
Fantastic hotel! Beautiful views with very friendly staff. The rooms were clean and I would definitely stay here again if in the area.

Excellent service
Teresa W.
Very beautiful and the staff is excellent.
Mr T.
We stayed while we played the Stadium Course. The rooms were excellent, the hotel food was good and the small island green on the lake was a fun event. We found no cons to staying here.
Matthew P.
Beautiful resort, accommodating staff, lots of activities to enjoy on the property or in the surrounding area of Jacksonville.
J C.
It's a beautiful hotel located in Ponte Vedra button V lunch buffet although very good in quality is well overpriced for the selection offer.
Lynn Deal F.
We enjoy staying here. They give a free drink or appetizer for the evening. They have a shuttle that will take you their Cabana Beach. They have several pools. We enjoy sitting out by the fire pit by the water at night. It is very beautiful. Definitely a repeat stay!
James C.
I am in the process of staying her for the first time and everything seems exceptional so far.
Jeff H.
Very nice resort but they had some construction going on at the time.
Athena E.
Our visit was to the Arbor Conference room. It was a lovely space in the middle of the water surrounded by lush foliage and water. It is a far walk from the front of the resort but walking through there was a pool, miniature golf course, bars, and outdoor spaces to relax. The area is beautiful and the catering was amazingly delicious. They served this shrimp and grits that was creamy and flavorful. Overall, I'm excited to say that the goal is to stay there for a few nights to get away from it all. It's a lovely resort and I recommend it to anyone!

Tiene mucho espacio, buena comida, y se ve bien.

Went there for a company party. Both the food and drinks were excellent
Kama M.
Not the Marriott standard I believe we all accustom to. Bed was the best part. Room can use a little freshen up. The wifi never worked and the front counter couldn't help. The ice machine is located on the lower floor which is not a big deal but overall, I think it was an ok experience.
T J.
Nice and cozy
Jonathan J.
Conference was great
Chris
The spa was amazing. Anjel was the best.
Eric L.
Very nice room!
Ross D.
Rooms are dated ,very small and the walls are paper thin. We stayed out in the Villas and workers were constantly taking up the sidewalk forcing us to walk through grass or mud to get to the main Hotel.
Pherox
Rooms are spacious and clean, although if you are waiting for one, it will take a while. Staff was willing to bend over to assist me, even offering to help with things i didnt mention. There are several activities and resturaunts on the grounds, and a publix and abc liquor are right across the street.
Jessica A.
Great place to get away to! Cozy, relaxing and beautiful!
Katelyn F.
Our event was very nice and the catering staff did a great job. No compliants. I had a wonderful time.

I was there for a conference and the facility and staff were great
Liya K.
Awesome resort, upscale, clean, pretty, good customer service; nice amenities. We had a work function here and all of our guests had a great time.
Dan H.
Very nice golf course. Pretty hotel. Downstairs ballroom for conventions could use a remodel.
Gary W.
Trade show went fine. Nice hotel. Charged extra for wifi but it didn't work.
Kristina D.
Room and view was great. I thought that not having feee wifi was annoying considering the price that we paid but overall a decent experience
John T.
One word was "disappointed" during my stay. I'm a loyal Marriott guest who drives out of the way to stay with the franchise. I stayed in the Villa's and the layout is nice considering my issues. There were silver fish bugs in my room and a few spiders. The iron broke and leaked something on my shirt that i couldn't correct. The other item was the coffee pot that contained contents from the previous guest. It seemed my room wasn't cleaned recently, or not well. I told this to the front desk and the response was "that's simply not acceptable". I quickly agreed. However there was no attempt to remediate the issue or offer a new room. I simply was handed a business card and told to have a great day. Needless to say, my loyalty to this brand is in question.
Teresa G.
We had an awesome time under going some remodel n.. I was pray n it was o k. After huricane....Jay wants to come back..
Steven P.
Room was great
Genevieve M.
As a female business traveler, I didn't love the villa room set up. I would have much preferred to be in the tower, especially as the villas open to the outside (no hallway or security) and the resort was sparsley populated. It was slightly unnerving.

Love this hotel if only... they had free wifi!
James D.
The hotel itself is quite nice and always enjoyable to stay at.
David Ray D.
The valet staff was awesome when I checked in. They helped me find self parking. The room was larger than most hotels. The rooms and convention center was close to each other. This made going to my event very easy.

Very nice place
Cara I.
Beautiful hotel. Unfortunately didn't get to experience the full beauty as it was under construction while I was there. However, everything is clean and well-kept. The fitness center is nice, it has a good amount of machines. Also, the breakfast buffet in the restaurant in the lobby was delicious! Lastly, the little convenience shop in the lobby had such cute things! I purchased a cute Brighton ankle bracelet!
Arielle M.
Beautiful venue! I love that there's a Starbucks in the lobby.
Christie S.
Bridal show was amazing!
James L.
Golf stay nothing spectacular
Lori G.
We love this place. Understanding they are doing improvements the service is still outstanding. Cat wait to see the final product. Great locatiin, our room was spotless and welcoming.

A hidden gem... Tucked away between Jacksonville and St. Augustine this hotel has several options for a great stay. The main hotel is well done but does seem to be renovated. Then there are the villas that are set off from the main hotel. The Villa we had was clean and tidy. The AC was going full blast which was nice in 95 plus degree day. The beds had that crash into it quality and were comfy for the stay. The room appeared to be well maintained. It was like having an apartment in the area for the stay. We had a great time going up to the beach club included in the cost of our stay. The front desk had the shuttle stop by and pick us up. We checked out the beach and had diner there. It was very nice. We will definitely return here.
Anthony L.
While not staying here, we are attending a conference for FES (Florida Engineering Society). The hotel is large and accommodating. Every staff member we have interacted with so far has been nothing but fantastic. Gorgeous view at night overlooking the water.
Joseph G.
Typical Marriott property. Couple of good restaurant selections but the lobby bar closes too early. Rooms are similar to other Marriott rooms.
Emily E.
Holy crap this place is nice

Ok
Brad P.
Everything in construction.

Excellence place to stay. Great service. Beautiful.

My husband and I spent the night here to celebrate our 25th anniversary. Located 5 minutes from the beach. Resort had a shuttle that takes you to their beach site, which includes a pool, pool towels, fresh cold water with fruit, snack bar and restrooms. There is a place to eat at the beach. We did not eat at the restaurant during our stay. Rooms were very comfortable. Bed felt great, clean room. Has single serve coffee maker and refrigerator. Beautiful grounds but the place was going through renovation on part of the grounds and building so some areas were fenced off. Nice pool area, ping pong and corn hole Would definitely go back for a night away retreat.
Dave T.
The service was great, the room was nice and the grounds are exceptionale
Chris M.
Really nice hotel. Under renovation during my stay but they did a great job keeping the flow of the hotel.
Cody S.
Great amenities and a helpful staff. Beautiful resort.

Great staff and fantastic view from the room. Many different things to do in once location. I would love to stay here again.
Calena G.
It was okay. There were two water coolers in the conference room and neither of them had water in them at 9 o'clock in the morning.
Peter C.
Only attended an event at the hotel but I was very impressed with the facility. Staff were courteous. Hotel was very clean and the events area was rather impressive.
Michelle J.
The staff was very welcoming and the scenery is amazing. The amenities are definitely worth it though. Food is pricy but you definitely get what you pay for. We stayed in the Villas which is there standard room. The luxury rooms cost a bit more. The room has everything you need nothing more nothing less. Everywhere you go there is something to look at! Plenty of activities as well. It's a good getaway if you are looking for one.
Matt C.
I would like to give them 2.5 stars, but I'll round up. The hotel is fine, but there are some management issues. Like the pool closes at 11, but I was kept awake until 1:30am by rowdy drunks partying at the pool. And the 'do not disturb' sign is ignored by housekeeping. The woke me up early in the morning, knocking on the door. Some of my family stayed at the One Resort up the beach, and I would rate that higher. The only downside there is that the bathrooms are real small, and you need to figure on paying $25 for valet as it is in a popular area, but otherwise it is very nice, with lots to eat and do around the hotel. For example, there is fantastic Italian restaurant a block from the hotel. If you want to be away from the beach (but still around lots of people) , or you play golf, then the Sawgrass might work for you, otherwise I would go with the One Resort.
Catherine S.
The staff is very friendly. The suites are roomy and in very good condition. It's about half an hour away from St. Augustine and less than an hour away from Jacksonville. There are several pools and a shuttle that takes you to the beach.
Nicole S.
Beautiful relaxing environment.
Heidi K.
Room was upgraded, and had very friendly staff.
David S.
Mini golf. The other kind of golf, I guess just golf. Several bars. Nice rooms.
Erica S.
Been in both the hotel and villas. Definitely prefer the villas! Huge hotel, lots to do in the area, with a plaza across the street that offer no shortage of options for all your needs.
Jonathan R.
Great space and nice upkeep unfortunately my room flooded
Debbie M.
Great resort.... just wished it was closer to the beach ..
Colton W.
The blankets felt awful, the AC barely worked and the toilet paper was as cheap as they could get. The hotel is beautiful and has many great amenities but the room is the most important part and it was sub par, particularly when compared to the rest of the hotel.
Chad G.
Good friendly service. Convenient shuttle service to Cabana club and the beach. Nice location close to a lot of great places to eat.
Jason J.
Beautiful villas and pool. Friendly, professional staff and an excellent breakfast buffet.
Kimberly R.
They sold me some iced tea today that was gross. Starbucks serves Teavana in all locations except this one. I was horrified. 4$ for brown water

After reading some of the reviews, I was scared to stay here; however, we had an incredible vacation from the time we checked in until the time we left.. Angela at the front desk was very informative and sweet. We upgraded to a suite and we're not disappointed. The suite was massive and our room had a huge private porch that over looked the lagoon. Perfect for us. We enjoy walking so we didn't mind the walk from the villas to the spa, pool, pub, etc. Everything you need is on site. In fact, we parked the car and didn't even leave the first day. Relaxation at its finest. We brought beverages and snacks while we relaxed in our balcony then went to the pool and had a cool server named Vicky. She was attentive and bright us food and drinks while we chatted with another couple. After that we enjoyed live music at pub and ordered the mahi tacos which were delicious! Played a little chess in the lobby bar a then kicked my boyfriend's butt in corn hole outside before retiring for the night :) Next day we toured the spa which has an adult only pool and jacuzzi. Maybe next time! And we took the shuttle to the private beach club. Fun! I can't wait to come back. We truly had a relaxing, fun vacation. Thank you to the Marriott staff!
Julian P.
Fantastic service, rooms are marriott quality and golf is top rated
Stephen A.
The astetitics of the Sawgrass hotel arevgreat. Our room was wonderful with more than enough room. The bed was large and comfortable and the bar and restaurant were great.
Justin R.
My company holds a conference here every year and I must say it is always well appointed, catered, and serviced. The food was especially nice this year.

Beautiful property, nice amenities, and great service.

Great hotel! Only issue is that there were no sheets for the sleeper sofa when we arrived. Great location. Beautiful grounds.
Leslie M.
Sheets were missing for pull out. We stayed in the villas. Spacious room with kitchenette
Christopher M.
Excellent customer service. We arrived early and our room wasn't ready so they have us access to the Cabana Club until our room was ready. And there got it ready for us 4 hours before the normal check in time.
Sam M.
I stayed at the Sawgrass resort over the course of a few days for spring break with family. I had a wonderful experience, with the bountiful lot of amenities available! The pools and close beach club were well maintained and comfortable, and the staff was pleasant. Even during spring break, there weren't too many occupants, so the stay was very comfortable. I would recommend to anyone who wants to golf, or just have a relaxing visit.
John M.
Honestly one of the best experiences I've had. Beautiful resort and spa with extremely attentive staff.
Ryan K.
Great location and good amenities. Just wish I could hit the links while I'm here.

The service was awesome and the employees were very sweet. Thanks for a great stay!

Nice place.

Beautiful hotel
David N.
Not worth the money! I stay at Marriott properties exclusively and this hotel is not worth the costs nor the resort fee, which is an added cost for not much purpose. Do yourself a favor and save money by spending it on other nearby hotels.
Elliott L.
The grounds where beautiful and there was an awesome view of a bald eagle nest off the 13th hole. Very enjoyable and I recommend the rum runner, it was delicouse.

Not happy

Sawgrass Marriott Golf Resort & Spa was an incredibly nice hotel. We were upgraded to a one bedroom suite with a king bed & it was the most comfortable hotel stay I've ever had.

I attended a Christmas party there, the food and venue was great.
Jerry Sutton (.
Nice property. Good Rooms. The service could be better. Not terrible but definitely not best in class.
Michael “Mr904Director” H.
It's always a pleasant experience dealing with the staff and amenities offered by Sawgrass Marriott! The landscape and construction of the place are stunning!
Todd Y.
A bit overpriced, but great resort.
MARY G.
The ladies that provided the services for me were very professional and kind. They made recommendations as they went through the process and appeared to take an interest in my well being. I felt wonderful afterwards and saw improvement in the appearance of my skin.
Walker R.
The Sawgrass Marriott was a refined and relaxing experience in the heart of Ponte Vedra. I would recommend staying to anyone who is interested in a classy and pleasant golf related vacation in Jacksonville.
Mofo M.
Beware of the Vallett crew. $110 charged to go to airport!!!! When asked why so much for a ride that is Only $80 on Uber. He said the Vallett charges him $20/ customer per trip to airport. So , the customer , unknowingly pays the $20 charged by the Vallett. Added, Vallett crew will not allow drivers to turn their Uber phone on. This way potential Uber clients will not be able to get an Uber. The only other viable alternative, is walking up to Vallett , and asking for a cab. Vallett gets handed a$20 by driver, and unsuspecting people gets to pay for it all. What a set up. According to driver, even the Managers know about this. The don't care.

Just came back from a very nice mini-vacation at this resort. The service was always excellent and the employees very nice for the most part. The hotel is very well maintained and the villas are spacious and clean, well equipped and with a beautiful view of the water and nature from your balcony. You also get a mini-fridge, micro-wave, single serving coffee maker and silverware. Two flat screen TV's and separate living-dining area from the bedroom. It has two very comfy double beds and a sofa bed. There's also plenty of activities to do: two adult pools, two kiddie pools, two outdoor hot tubs. Bikes for rental, ping pong, etc. Several restaurants and bars serve pretty good food and the drinks are excellent. They are not cheap: drinks at the pool are $10 for the cocktails. $15 at the beach club. A sandwich at the beach club costs $16. There's also a mini golf course and bikes for rental. There's a gym with the essentials if you want to work out, which has a crystal wall overlooking the path and grounds that surround the main pool. On Saturday there was a DJ 'BC' playing excellent music all day long next to the pool. The beach club is OK. Looks a little dated and I noticed the pool needed some maintenance, as you could see green patches (algae) at the bottom. Also in one of the hot tubs at the main hotel, which I think is unacceptable for a hotel of this category... but that pretty much was the only thing I disliked in the 3 days we spent here. The other pools and hot tub were very clean. I will definitely come back. My kids, wife and a friend that came with us also had a great time.
Kernwyn C.
Great resort, great food. Took a star for the cup of hot water I never recieved from room service
Avpremium R.
Terrible bad place Ridiculous beach club Crazy prices for a bad service and product Spiders all around and dirty outside A really mess hotel Never again Also bad staff and manager
Ernestra M.
Amazing experience! Last minute girls trip and we could've picked a better resort. We will be back.

This is a very nice place to stay if you want to pay the cost. Complimentary shuttle service to local attractions, beaches, shopping, etc., or even across the street if it is raining. Nice little fitness center, swimming pools, and restaurants within the hotel, not to mention delicious catering. Very nice staff. Rooms were very clean with plenty of towels and there are even some plates/bowls/cutlery in the rooms and a mini-fridge and microwave so you can prepare food. Beautiful scenery as well. The property is very nice, and we found all the staff very helpful during our stay. The AC was not working in our original room and we were swapped without trouble. Also our room was originally a double, but was upgraded at no cost by the clerk at check in, without requesting it. The resort fee is $22 a day. You also get Internet service for that fee, and it did include a free appetizer in the lobby bar area, still it seemed steep. However we got the room significantly lower than the usual advertised price even if the resort fee is included, so overall it was well worth it. The club area and beach access are very nice though. The rooms were nice, the service was spectacular, and the hotel itself was beautiful. The back patio with all the fire pits and the light up fountain/waterfall made it a really elegant evening. The food and drinks were also phenomenal. You get 2 free drinks per night stay, which is nice (but that's part of their $20 nightly fee). Highly recommend this hotel. From the moment we arrived until the day we left several days later, Staff helped me with my bags and wife bags, got us settled, advised about restaurants, shuttled us Several times. He was always professional, accessible, hard working and maintained a tremendous attitude in spite of high heat and humidity. He made our stay fun, comfortable and easy. we also stayed in the villas a few times, they're all spacious, well appointed, contemporary suite with a very large deck overlooking water and nature scenes. Great evening time in pub. Extensive breakfast buffet with chef to make omelets, to salmon and capers, and all nourishments in between. Definitely would stay again. Staff were professional, courteous, and helpful....
Jeff B.
Poor experiences throughout stay from minute we drove up. Valet service was confused and disoriented - at times I noticed either pieces of luggage or key just sitting out in open where anyone could take. As a Marriott Reward Member, they could not get my points credited to my account after confirming upon reservation and while checking in. Since this was a business expense, it made it a hassle to expense as I could not go online and get receipt for stay - with the additional hassle of having to do a "report missing stay". As for the hotel, service at the bar and restaurant was poor. I tend to give people benefit of doubt, but when it's consistently poor, there must be a bigger issue. Maid service was sloppy. Often not stocking amenities or other issue. I rarely have time to write reviews, and do so when either very good or very bad. This was very bad. The only redeeming quality (and thus getting any stars) was that is was a beautiful golf course and had nice facilities.
Fred L.
Stayed in the villas, spacious, well appointed, contemporary suite with a very large deck overlooking water and nature scenes. Great evening time in pub. Extensive breakfast buffet with chef to make omelets, to salmon and capers, and all nourishments in between. Definitely would stay again. Staff were professional, courteous, and helpful.
Ja'kayla L.
The room next to us was obviously smoking which cause our connecting room to reek of cigarette smoke with 4 youngs children in the room. After numerous times of calling the front desk they did nothing about the issue and to smooth us over they asked if we would like to switch room on our last night. Really? For this hotel to be so much it is quite ridiculous. They are nice and friendly people but it's obvious their white residents can do whatever they please with no consequences.
Miriam M.
Call Orkin! Woke up and went in the bathroom and saw a huge spider crawling around. When I looked on the floor there were half a dozen dead baby roaches. Nothing special here. When I brought it to their attention they knocked $27 off my bill. Wow! Back to the Hilton where they truly get customer service!
Norma D.
From the moment we arrived until the day we left several days later, Phil at the entrance was a delight. He helped with our bags, got us settled, advised about restaurants, shuttled us Several times. He was always professional, accessible, hard working and maintained a tremendous attitude in spite of high heat and humidity. He made our stay fun, comfortable and easy. He is an excelled ambassador for Marriott, he ensured Marriott at Ponte Vedra will be a return destination for us. Norma

Not perfect, but what is? The property is very nice, and we found all the staff very helpful during our stay. The AC was not working in our original room and we were swapped without trouble. Also our room was originally a double, but was upgraded at no cost by the clerk at check in, without requesting it. The resort fee is $22 a day. They did have a nice shuttle service which we only used once to get to and from the beach club. You also get Internet service for that fee, and it did include a free appetizer in the lobby bar area, still it seemed steep. However we got the room significantly lower than the usual advertised price even if the resort fee is included, so overall it was well worth it. As usual all on resort prices are jacked up. As if Starbucks wasn't costly enough already. The food and drinks at the Cabana Beach Club were not nearly as good as the price was high. The drinks were weak for $9.00 a pop. The club area and beach access are very nice though. You can't bring anything in, so if you want to make a day out of it you either have to pay the Piper or leave and return. They do at least provide water for you, but nothing fancy in that regard. Other places we've been have had nice fruit infused water poolside, not here. Overall we very much enjoyed the time spent here, and would definitely come back.
Richard C.
it got a little better this stay. they gave us this gift coupon for our next stay when they were remodeling. who holds on to them. it should be in there computer system. we checked in late. they did give us a nice room without resort fees and a late checkout.
Meghan F.
Worth every penny.
Candace D.
The hotel was nice and it is located in a great location. However its not what I would define as a resort! Definitely not worth paying a resort fee. The bed was very uncomfortable and the room was out of date. My boyfriend and I are in the military and went to the resort to just getaway from the hectic city and enjoy the TPC Sawgrass. We received horrible service! Maybe its because we were dressed casual unlike everyone else there but regardless we should have been treated like everyone else there. We went to the restaurant and waited for over 20 minutes to get a waiter they were not busy and several waiters walked by us helping the people around our table. We had to get up and go ask for a waiter. Honestly I spend so much money on a weekend getaway for my boyfriend and our time we had was awful because of the service we received from the employees at the resort. The nicest person we met was the young lady working in the little gift shop they have. We stayed at the World of Golf resort the night prior and it was way better. I do not recommend it and next time we want to go play some golf we will be staying at the Hilton which is closer to the TPC Sawgrass anyways.
Alex M.
Decent resort and golf club
Casey S.
If you are staying in the Villas be sure to bring some earplugs and extra pillows. The insulation must be terrible in this place as early this morning all we could hear were the maids clanking around above and next to us. I have never stayed in a place with such bad insulation. The pillows are very flimsy which also does not make for a relaxing stay. Otherwise the villas are beautiful and the staff is very nice.
Scott T.
We had a large group of professional men attending the TPC tournament and made it a long vacation trip. Wives and girlfriends arrived for a few days after we did. It was a smooth transition to the extra rooms. Our expectations were met. Staff was great. Will stay here again and recommend it highly to others. Thank you for a great stay.
Jeremy Y.
I wasn't impressed with the hotel, the money you spend to be in the lap of luxury was from from it in reality. The service was top rate but the facilities and the rooms could have been way better. I stayed at the Marriott at PGA National and it was head and shoulders above.
Marjorie W.
Our room was on the third floor, facing the pools and unfortunately just above the playground. While children can be louder outside there is no need for incessant screaming which we encountered every day of our four day stay. It was impossible to take a nap or sleep in. The playground shouldn't be under guests rooms although attentive parents and hotel staff should address excessively loud children. The room was clean but the decor is bland. The pool deck at the spa needed sweeping and the flower beds there needed weeding . Besides the children's noise, what bothered me was the employee at the beach club who questioned my access because I hadn't arrived on the shuttle. He said my hotel key wasn't a beach club card and waited to enter himself so I didn't sneak in when he opened the gate. Then he acknowledged that my hotel key would grant me access. No apology from him for questioning me. I doubt you have many people trying to sneak in with employees.

We attended a conference and stayed in one of the "villas" which had two beds and a bathroom. Due to the group rate we got a discounted rate of about $130/night when the regular price was supposed to be about $300/night. The villas seemed old and could use a bit more maintenance. Cleanliness - We had to change our rooms because the first room was not up to my cleanliness standards. There was hair on the bathroom floor and stains on some linens and some other issues. The next room was better, but could still have been more clean considering the price. Space - Our space was really tiny for the amount we spent. There weren't enough tables to put our luggage on. Amenities - Pretty much everything was pay as you go. The internet cost $12 for 24 hours. Our "villa" didn't have a microwave or refrigerator. No complimentary breakfast (by the way food at the hotel is very expensive and highly overated, but if you go down the street there are some restaurants with decent prices. For our group dinner and breakfast buffets we had to pay $50/person and $30/person, and the quality of the food was merely average.) Service - The hotel, I must admit, was very helpful and responsive when I told them about our not-clean-enough room. They did fairly well in the service department, which is why I gave 3 stars instead of 2. They didn't seem to have any of the right times for the events, though and a number of people from our party were showing up at the wrong time to events. Facilities/environment - the grounds were really beautiful. Watching the sun rise over the ponds and watching the wildlife was fun. Beautiful setting. Overall, I would not stay there again, even if we could get the $130/night price unless it also included a refrigerator, microwave, Internet access, more cleanliness and complimentary breakfast. I definitely would not stay there if we had to pay more than $130. The "villa" is just a really poor value for the money. (It was particularly frustrating since we had also recently spent time in the Gainesville Sleep Inn which was cleaner, more updated, had twice the space, a refrigerator, microwave, free internet and complementary breakfast and was also $50 cheaper per night.)

I was at an architects convention a few weeks ago. I was in their lot from 11:00am until 7:30 PM, when I arrived to my vehicle the entire drivers side was gouged with a KEY. The BUTT-HEAD vandal went up and down the front wheel well making sure to cause the most damage possible. I called their front desk, they put me in touch with their security department. I was surprised they had security, I never saw them patrolling the parking lot! The end result is a big "sorry", but we are not responsible for anything!! I told them, I am 50 years old, and have NEVER been KEY'D!.....I would have probably been more safe parking at K-Mart or Walmart! IF YOU HAVE A NICE VEHICLE, BEWARE!!!!
