Angelface Day Spa

Angela DeAngellis founded Angelface in 1995, after running an independent practice within a Yorktown hair salon. As a single practitioner in the early going, Angela kept her focus narrow and her efforts concentrated exclusively on facials. She believed it to be a business imperative to run her operation in this manner to guarantee quality and predictability in her skin care services- services that would bring customers back again and again. Thus, Angela dedicated herself to delivering professional services with a personal touch that soon yielded a substantial base of loyal clients. By performing each treatment herself, she endeavored to define her own standard of quality within the skin care industry. Then, with a fully refined process in hand, Angela turned her attention to launching her own spa business. In 1995, Angelface was born. From humble beginnings in a shared suite at the Commerce Building, Angelface quickly gathered momentum. From the outset, it was clear that there was a vast market for its services. It was also clear that Angela’s clientele would remain loyal, as customer retention levels ran high and word-of-mouth advertising fueled rapid company growth. Angela often recalled that her clients had, in fact, encouraged her to make this foray into the spa business and nearly demanded expansion of her services. By the year 2000, Angelface was bursting at the seams and it was evident that it would soon have to expand. In addition, Angelface was receiving recognition and endorsements from several publications, which further promoted its credibility within the industry and area. Finding a new location was not easy. There were many important business conditions which had to be met. The ultimate site selected, while boasting a prime location, required significant renovation and improvements to realize Angela’s vision. Over the next 6 months, the two-story building was completely stripped and transformed into something truly beautiful. In the summer of 2003, while celebrating its eight-year anniversary, Angelface opened it's doors in a grand re-opening.
