Not really a kid friendly or active resort. Rooms look decent. Pools are nice and the breakfast was the BOMB!! Egg frittata was A-1!! Ladies at front desk are short in attitude. The security, housekeeping, and dealers are all very helpful. Not much else to do. We went to Fountain park just a few miles up by and had a ball.

Came here for my first time a few weeks ago. I was told they shut down Fort McDowell & switched their operations to this brand new casino/resort. Definitely a nice upgrade with all the same classic games! Really nice casino! I only experienced the casino aspect of it but will definitely return to try out the resort!

Love Wekopa I always have a great time and amazing Service. The only thing I would recommend is that wekopa make it optional for staff to wear a mask especially if they work outside! Having employees wear masks in az heat is horrible and I guarantee employees won’t stay long. - Leah Universe Member

My wife and I had a fabulous time from check in to check out. I had shipped my golf clubs via FedEx from Wisconsin to We Ko Pa and they ended up losing track of them somewhere in Chandler, AZ. Long story short, even though it wasn’t We Ko Pa Resorts issue or concern, they did everything in their power to track them down. I would especially like to thank Lucy and her team at the front desk for making us feel less stressed about the whole ordeal with my golf clubs. Throughout our stay, we were completely satisfied with everything We Ko Pa had to offer. Would definitely recommend staying here to anyone reading reviews.

Horrible hotel; I have family on vacation staying here and the hotel employees decided to help themselves to everything they had in their room. My fam extended their stay an extra day, and for some odd reason there was a huge miscommunication within the casino staffing. Room was cleared of ALL PERSONAL BELONGINGS, while every scrap of trash was left behind. Security for some reason gave the permission to remove everything, so when my family came back to their room at 830 pm everything was missing. Front desk told them "housekeeping thought they'd checked out so they cleaned the room." If that were true then why was all the trash still there and beds unmade? Every single personal effect was gone but quickly located in garbage cart, after a stink was made. I was asked to leave casino when I suggested calling police and reporting attempted burglary. If this review is still up, then this situation still isn't resolved.

The resort was way better when it was under Radisson. Now check-in time is 4 p.m. and when you ask to check-in early or get a late check-out they wanna charge you a half day rate ??????????? before they would happily accommodate you. Also, the past two times we booked they gave us a real ghetto room. It was probably the least upgraded room. They also don't do anything special for birthdays or other celebrations like they use to. Now for the casino, the food at the expensive places are not that good but charge way more than they use to, plus they didn't bring over the sushi bar ????. Also, the slot machines are way less loose, feels like I am playing in Salt River. I mean it is beautiful, the land more so then the infrastructure.

So I didn't gamble or play. Just stopped on the way through. But it was well worth it. My wife liked the beds so much she asked about them. The rooms were beautiful, fresh and spacious. The price was very reasonable. We took a minute to hang at the pool. It is a gorgeous place. The weight room is closed but we could use the grassy area outside. My only criticism, smoking around the building. It wasn't too bad. But then if that's your thing they have places for you.

Just left there after a woman that appeared to be on drugs went off on me screaming that I had taken her machine...this woman got security and came start saying she had 33 cents on it and her player card was in. I did notice after I put in money that there was a players card that I pulled out and put to the side ...that happens all the time...people forget their cards.security made me give her the machine and reimbursed her 33 cents ...she told me earlier it was 3 cents..don't like how this was handled..woman had sores on her face from meth or something

Don't waste your time if your looking to play poker. The room opens at 9am I got there at 8am to sign up for the mixed game. At 8:30 a dealer showed up while I was waiting outside the poker room, so I asked him where I could sign up for the mixed game and he replied oh there is no signing up that their are regulars that played last week and that they have reserved seats from playing the Tuesday before. Furthermore he said that if one of they players doesn't show up at 9am then I could get into the game. Long story short only fouri people showed up I made five and the game didn't go. Whatever stupidvisor came up with that idea should be fired! They are killing any chance that you may have had to welcome new players.

I worked as a housekeeper, and the housekeepers here do their job right! Super clean and fresh. Keurig coffee in your room, very good shampoo, conditioner, lotion, q-tips (important after a shower), and more! Seriously, it's the little things that make a big difference. Great price! I booked another night, I was that impressed.

We will not be back. Resort needs to decide if they wanna be a low cost low quality option or upscale. Upscale prices for low quality make for disappointed guests.

It was ok but the wifi was bad and when we asked for 2 extra blankets, the front desk woman asked us what the blankets were for and how many people we had in our room. I told her we had 4 people in our room but then realized that it was insulting to me so I didn't feel I should be explaining myself. I paid good honest hardworking money for my stay, I'll be damned if I'm going to be questioned about my motives for wanting 2 blankets. Not going back there.

Just stayed 4 nights and had the best time! Every employee we met was friendly and helpful. Sophia delivered our room service and what a delight she is, she even delivered to us at the pool, she was only one doing deliveries and so she was running but always smiling. Janella our bartender at the pool was so pleasant and accommodating, we only had her one day at the pool because it was closed the other days. Our dinner at the Embers was over the top! Both managers stopped by our table to make sure everything was great and it was! Especially our server Amy she gave us the best experience! Can't wait to go back to Wekopa! Thank you for a wonderful time.

Great atmosphere however for the first time and in 10 years the machine I went on after 25 spins honored me some money with some commas in it which is quite telling. That means I won obviously over a grand with a $20 bill. The entire machine shut down. The entire machine said reboot and then said abort. I explained to the people helping what I saw and they didn't believe me. I won't ever go back.

Checking in was a nightmare...you have to park and carry your suitcases from a parking lot to sidewalk to check in. Customer service was bad...no information about the resort or casino..I had to ask like 15 questions about morning coffee..front desk clerk acted like we were not at the same place.

This was my first time at this casino and I was quite surprised by the quality! It was very clean and nicely decorated/organized from the parking lot all the way to the back of the casino. The smoking areas in the back(it's convenient that they have multiple smoke areas-at least two that I noticed) are comfortable with lovely seating areas and are decorated with unique water features and statues. They even have ash trays that are available for anyone out there, so that adds to the cleanliness perk of the place. I saw many games that I was unfamiliar with (and I play A LOT of slots) so it was nice to wander around with my partner and explore, making good money on multiple machines. The staff was also extremely polite all the way through, from the greeters, to the servers, to the dealers at the tables, we had a blast joking around with everyone we came in contact with. Overall the staff had to be the greatest feature of this location too, keep up the great work!????

No more morning or matinee except for Sunday for morning and only Thursday Friday and Saturday matinee. I work on those days so now my Bingo play is over. I didn't mind the 50 mile one way with the old casino and bingo...now it's just not worth it anymore

This is a well run, clean, covid sensitive facility with decent restaurants, a nice hotel (though a bit pricey in our view) and a great location away from the local noise and bustle. People are friendly and helpful. The Casino has been moved, is far easier to navigate and lots of new machines to help lighten your wallet. Last trip my wife and I did leave with a few hundred more than we arrived with but chaulk that up to just good luck.

Only got one star because it’s clean and smoke free. DO NOT DRINK ALCOHOL HERE. If you drink here and they feel you drank too much they will escort you to your room (if you are staying there) with no explanation but “we observed you”. 6’4” 290 lbs man, I think I can handle a few drinks. Not slurring. Not stumbling. Overall, not drunk. I am writing this 5 mins after they walked me to my room. Trust I will never stay here again and will discourage anyone from doing so. If there was a complaint, an issue with my behavior I would completely understand. But there was nothing. Many other casinos to lose my money to.

Played some games. Spent $20.00 and left with $95.00 more in my pocket. Walk around checking out the ???? games. On the way ???? home to fill up with gas for the Expedition. Damn it took $80.00 to fill it up. Forgot that gas was $3.00 a gallon. My gas tank holds between 30 to 40 gallon tank. Guess I'll stop at Dunk in for the 2 for $5.00.????????????. Ate in the parking lot. Bye for now.

I love this new casino. I have hit 34 jackpots this year already. All ranging from $1200 to my absolute biggest at this casino which was $37,900. Was playing lightning link and hit the major on a $2 denomination with a $50 bet and got an orb worth $17,000 alone. Such an amazing hit! Today I played keno and video poker and had an amazing day. Pictures show how great! Hit 8 out of 8 right when I was about to leave for $4,000!!!!! So much fun......:) Hope all is well.

Got here got up to my room and on the 5th floor facing the mountains. And key wouldn't work, they sent a maintenance Man to my room. He changed out the batteries in the door and that still didn't work, so I had to go down to the desk and get a new key for a new room on the fourth floor room 417.

Not an avid gambler but post-covid 19 it seemed even more of a get rich quick schemes because there wasn't anything else to do but to go in, lose money and get out. Hardly any soda in my veins, no tobacco for the hour and a half I was there. And not to mention hardly being hit on by on lookers, I could barely handle my ego being shattered when it realized the days of being stroked by some random casino goer... are over. Place was aught. Covid19... no joke. Stay home and stay healthy.

We had such an amazing stay, the best customer service we have ever had! I went on a last minute trip with my partner for our 5 year anniversary and the staff were so amazing! Dinner at Ember was to die for, the service and quality of food were amazing. Everything was delicious, even when we didn't know what we were eating. Their wagyu filet and cocktails were delicious! Our stay at the resort was relaxing, everything was very clean and open. The casino was great and we actually came out winners! Everything was very clean and all of the staff were so courteous. I played cards for the first time and the staff was patient with me and very helpful, they helped me not lose money! We ended with breakfast at Anhala and their amazing mimosas and their accommodating staff (we accidentally slept in but were still able to be served breakfast). Everything was amazing and better than we would have hoped for, we will definitely be back soon.

went there on a 3 day vacation , friendly workers that greeted me with a smile. check in is easy and the my room was clean with a great view. the resort is very casual, i wore jeans and nice shirts my entire stay. the pool was heated but a bit cool but, i did go in February . my first night i went to WKP sports bar , the food was amazing, friendly staff and very knowledgeable of the surrounding area and things to do. i mostly ate at the market restaurant , great prices, friendly staff and very good food. overall my stay was relaxing, fun and amazing

I have nothing but good things to say about my stay. This was not a planned visit. I had been traveling for eight hours and was tired. I pulled into the back parking, walked to the front to the first restaurant on the right. The dinner crowd was gone, so I didn’t have to wait to be seated. There was a very loud group of men who were very noisy. The hostess warned me about the noise and I told her I didn’t care, that I was hungry. And they were very loud. The food was good. Just ordered two appetizers. This 40-ish man, who was obviously in management, came over to me and apologized for the noise and offered me a complimentary glass of wine, and then asked me if he could do anything else for me. I told him I needed a room for the night. He said he’d check on it. He came back a few minutes later, told me to see Michele at the front desk, and that was it. My room was booked. Michele asked me where I was parked and I told her in the back. She sent for someone to pick me up and take me to my car and showed me where to park. They made me feel special and cared about. The room was pleasant and clean and, much to my delight, it had a lighted makeup mirror. Altogether, a wonderful, positive experience, AND it was a casino with no smoking.

Walking into my old/New stomping ground I was asked to have my temp checked and to use the hand sanitizer both were fast and easy, the casino and Bingo hall were so Large I couldn't find my favorite machine's and by the time I was told to get a number to be called before I could get book's, feeling at a loss before I even was in the game, made my first visit a bust, I'll try again on 1-21-21 that's my Lucky day and I'll decide if I'll return again, Thanks for asking, all the employees were Very helpful and Nice ????????

LOVED the old Fort McDowell...was by far my favorite casino in AZ. WeKoPa is beautiful. It's really modernized and the casino is very attractive to the eye. The layout is much better and 3asier to navigate.. however, when it was Fort McDowell, there were several selection of Sheen but you could change the vet to be down to $0.01 or $0.05 by wedding one line up to a hundred times and you got to select back. Now there are very few machines that allow you to do that I would say probably five or six of them. In comparison, Fort MacDonald had about 50% to 60% of the machines there we're able to be manipulated to which you can choose your number of lines down to one line and more. That wasn't going with just say $12 (which is usually my magic number LOL that's pretty much all I'll ever usually bring to the casino...of my money anyway and that plus free play at 1 to 5 cents per spin has led to a lot of success in the past ...by slowly building money up...then and ONLY then I'll use my winnings ..aka. the CASINOS money to bet higher which can lead to either some seriously large wins or back to nothing..either. way I'll only have lost 12 bucks of MY money when It comes down to it ! :) Sadly though ..I am super limited in my ability to do that at this new WeKoPa ...so..all in all HARRAHS AKChin is now my favorite casino in AZ! You rock HARRAHS! PLEASE DONT CHANGE...(and dont take away the covered 5 cent Cleopatra keno ..ok?)

Beautiful, clean great for tourists! If you’re a gambler you have better odds playing Mega Millions. (Not really, but you get the point) When I walk into any casino I know the risks, winning is not expected, however, entertainment is! Feeding $20 after $20 without a single pay is not gambling it’s robbery. When will the casinos learn all we want to do is have fun. Not looking for jackpots at every turn, but a $20 should last more than 45 seconds. Fort McDowell was the most player friendly casino in AZ, We-Ko-Pa is beautiful but TERRIBLE to their players!

The restaurant Anhala inside the casino is a wonderful gem. My husband and I ordered the rib eye steak to celebrate and it was amazing. The food was cooked right; I like mine medium and he likes his well done. Usually he complains it's not cooked enough for well done, but this one was spot on. One of their best sellers is an Angus burger and we will try that next time.

Much cleaner than the old fort mcdowell. Drink service is a little slow. Smoking areas are sub par, outside with no coverings if it rains or when it is hot. EMBER is amazing, but wish slightly larger appetizers for the cost. Bingo has many more tablets than before, but the screens to see the numbers are to small.

I had the pleasure of visiting this casino on my birthday January 10, 2021. By far, this casino is the nicest, cleanest casino I have been to in AZ. Everything was new, there was no smoke smell, the chairs were new and super comfy. The staff was all very friendly and helpful. I can't wait to go back! We have been to the new casino quite a few times since it opened in October 2020. The new casino is very nice and one of the best we have been too here in the Phoenix area. It is very clean, open and bright and the machines are spaced very nicely, so you don't feel crowded. The casino staff is very good, the cleaning personnel are exceptional and drinks are very affordable. They have a nice, large variety of machines to play and lots of video poker, which are my favorite machines because I usually win on them!! The variety of eateries is good and if you are looking for a nice dinner, Ember will not disappoint!

We stayed a few nights ago at the resort and I have to say well done! The staff at the check-in desk were extremely polite, friendly and welcoming. The new casino is stunning and the parking garage is handy. Games are new and modern and we were able to spend some time on them and be entertained. The only negative about our stay was the ribeye at Ahnala. The soup and salad were great, but the steak was of poor quality. Overall still a great night away. Can't wait to visit again!

Wonderful experience all around. From the staff to the decorations. Had dinner at their steakhouse I'll never forget was amazing! I got the porterhouse can you say perfection, and our server had me laughing hysterically! The room in the resort was somehow elegant yet comfy and very spacious too! Casino was even fun although if the 3 in the area this one did seem to be the least willing to pay lol I hit jackpots at the other 2 but not this one. Still though, newer machines I'd never even seen, very exciting! My husband did cash out over a grand one time so don't be discouraged! Lol. Highly recommend! Will be coming back!

I had a great time here at this casino. What made it an amazing experience was Becca. I sat down at a machine and she came by, checked on me every so often. It was very nice talking to Becca while I was playing. I Asked her if she gamble at all and she reply no only with her dad. She talked very highly of him, he enjoys playing and it make him happy and so it make her happy. Reminds me of the time I use to go with my Dad. It was very refreshing. What made it nice was she stopped by just to chat. Later towards the end of my night my machine kept hitting and got up to a 1000. Becca said to me “wow nice Stevie keep it up”. My dad was the only person that called me Stevie. I took it as a sign he was saying Hello. How could she have know that! Left me speechless. This year 2020 hasn’t been the easiest for me and I am sure for many others. Becca if you are reading this, Thank you for making it brighter!!!!! You really are such a wonderful person and I am happy to have met you! Hope by writing this others will ask for you and look for you! You will find her in the High limits!! When checking into the hotel, they didn't monitor my temperature or mask. They refused to give me the current hotel price after I had purchased earlier at a higher price. $30 resort fee for what? No one was swimming because the pool was too cold. Bonuses on the machines are terrible. I could go on and on....

I like the new casino, but for a Friday night it was empty. The buffet was open but I won't pay 44 dollars, that's Vegas pricing. The sports bar was empty, any wonder why? The food sucks and the menu is dark and hard to read. The old casino had a dining room with a great menu and the prices were low, food was awesome. It seems that they are trying to go high end, but failing. Hey WKP, I can go to Ak-Chin and eat better for free off my points and stay for free. HINT HINT

Delightful...simply a delightful experience! If you ever went to the old Ft. MacDowell casino and resort, be prepared for a shock - the new We-Ko-Pa casino resort is incredible! We went for an overnight stay in the luxurious hotel. Everything and everyone was fantastic. We ate at Ahnala restaurant for lunch (pro tip: if you stay in the hotel your resort fee includes a free appetizer with purchase of an entree). The food was wonderful. Get the French Dip or the Quesadilla. The casino is completely new and wonderful. The bingo lounge is incredible and has great food too (at reasonable prices). And the buffet - a MUST DO EVENT. The buffet is covid-conscious and guests are served. The food is delicious, with "stations" to choose what you like. This is the most friendly group of people, and throughout the entire resort. I highly recommend going for an overnight get-a-way. You'll love it!

We Ko Pa is awesome. LOVED the non-smoking thing. Parking... fantastic. Staff... fantastic. Taking care of Veterans... FANTASTIC. Service in the Sports Bar... terrible. Yes, they were filming a commercial on Veterans Day, but they seat you, and it shouldn't take 15 minutes to get a beer. The waitress should keep track of your order. Just when I thought a casino couldn't get any tighter with their slots, We-Ko-Pa goes and proves me wrong. When you put $20 in a machine and play .88 a spin that is 25 spins at least. You would figure that if the odds were set according to government standards to at least win enough to get to 30 spins. That is only $4.00 to payout. Twice this morning I fed a crisp $20 bill to a machine and twice this morning I played exactly 25 spins. I didn't even get a .01 payout on one spin. 50 spins with nothing. We-Ko-Pa is now We-No-Go as far as I'm concerned. Wont be back. ODDS ARE STACKED PEOPLE.

We visited We-Ko-Pa Casino for the first time on Monday, Nov 9th, 2020. We used to like to play video Keno at Fort McDowell Casino so we thought we'd try this new casino near Fort McDowell. Big mistake! The Keno here is lousy! There are very few Keno machines and absolutely no multi-card Keno machines here at all (other than new varieties of 4-card Keno)! The new varieties of Keno games are called 'Target Lock' and 'Ultimate X' Keno which are very difficult to understand and seem to have very low odds of winning. And even worse, nobody is even willing to learn how to play them! They want to play multi-card Keno like they offer at every other Casino in the world! See photos of these new Keno games below. So if you like Keno, like us, you probably won't be coming back here anytime soon!

Cannot speak for the hotel . Casino has all the fluff , Slot Machine minimums are up there , Table Game minimums are up there , and we were there for approx. 3 hrs . We saw no one winning , and we ourselves came to the conclusion that the machines were more than likely screwed down just as tight as they possibly could be with very little chance of winning just a bit let alone a little . Not impressed will not return anytime soon .

First time here, only had been open a few weeks. This place is 10 times better than the DD casino that opened up a few months back. Bigger, NO smoking which Is awesome. New keno games? Lots of choices for poker machines. They had table games as well. The only bad part is it is so far away. But totally worth it!!

Fountain hills? Try west NM! The best part of this casino was the Mac n cheese at The Market, which was delicious but barely worth $4. I played poker and aftter losing $100 playing very conservatively I finally won my only possible hand to win. Then, two hands later, I was dealt pocket aces. They have aces cracked for $100 24/7 unless a sports game is on. I wTed until the third quarter before even getting sat. I had no part in any of their promotions my aces got cracked. The dealer said I'd get $100. Then the bosses said he messed up. $150 dollars later, I told them I wouldn't be back. They didn't even blink. K bye!!!!!!!!

Beautiful new casino. Not enough bars open after midnight, no additional auxiliary soda/water stations after 10pm when the casino was really busy. Limited amount of older penny slots with plexiglass dividers available, plexiglass only between newer slots. Poker room is nice, but only 1 game going on Friday Grand opening weekend. I wish they would have put a bathroom in the poker room.

So very impressed with the new casino. Even as a smoker, I appreciate the non smoking atmosphere. Lots of machines, managers visible on the floor and even proactively stopped to assist with a machine issue I was having. Might be just trying to make the comparison to the old building but the new casino just doesn't have the same feeling as Fort Mcdowell did. Don't understand why the Fort needed to be renovated into the new building? The Fort had always been the top pick when we wanted to go to the casino. Think this was a keep up with the jonses type upgrade and hopefully works out but for me will be going elsewhere now. The awesome appeal of The Fort was the building. The History and the legend to go along with it. The Fort was actually a Fort and thats what made it uniquely one of a kind. There was no other place like it in AZ and now maybe never again. You also took away a lot of the fun slots in the move as well.

My boyfriend and I take staycations several times through out the year. We were very excited to stay at the “new” We Ko Pa. The hotel is nice and the room was clean however we had no hot water. It was luke warm. The remote for the tv didn’t work unless you stood in front of the tv. The casino was soooo smoky! My boyfriend is a smoker and he couldn’t even take it. We decided to try the only sit down restaurant. I got a Caesar salad that was way over dressed. My boyfriend got a hamburger that he couldn’t even finish. It was a frozen party they had thrown on the grill. It was not edible. When our server mentioned he didn’t eat. We told her it was not good. She didn’t say anything besides clearing our plates. We then waited 15 mins to pay. She brought the check with no pen so we had to hunt her down again so we could sign it. We were very disappointed and will not stay here again. Nothing that is being advertised as new is even open yet! Do not waste your money! In addition I was charged twice for my one night stay. I had to called and speak to accounting once we got home to be refunded for the additional charge.

We were really looking forward to our stay at We KO PA Resort to celebrate my daughter's birthday. However, upon finding a bug, then another bug, and even another bug, we decided to call the front desk and asked to speak to a manager. In the meantime, we did some research online, and realized that they were bed bugs. While we waited for a return call, we started looking around the seams of the sheets, and found cigarette packs crush and stuffed in between the mattresses. We also went to the soda machine to get a Dr Pepper, and got a bottle of water. I had left a message for housekeeping to contact me, but they didn't. After I videotaped one of the bugs crawling on the chair, I called again, got placed on hold, and finally was told that they would move me to another room. They never offered anything as far as the inconvenience or stress. We were very disappointed.

Stayed on a Saturday night for a relaxing staycation. Overall the hotel was a good experience. The original check in person was not very helpful and was trying to charge a 30$ early check in fee since we were there 20mins prior to 2pm. The first room we were in was sandwiched between rooms where they had loud music playing and going in and out of all of the rooms. The front desk manager (I didn't get a name unfortunately) was very helpful and got us switched into a much quieter room away from that. The rooms themselves were very clean and comfortable. They had hand sanitizer in all the high touch areas and enforced masks and social distancing.

Loved it!! Check in was so smooth, even though we checked in pretty late ( after 10p.m.). The room was ur normal resort type decor but it was soo clean. The casino looked a lil aged and tore back. I thought it was recently remodeled but it didn't look like it. So I'm hoping that they just haven't finished the cadino floor part yet. They did have a lot if slots but not a lot of $1 and up slots. And there wasn't a designated high roller room. The casino floor had no coordinationto placementof slots which sucked. . The price was average compared to other hotels in area. They did charge a extremely high resort fee which I think should be waived for those who live in Arizona. Every other casino or resort in other states I've stayed at waive the fee for locals. I would definitely stay here more often if they waived the resirt fee but until then I probably won't stay again.

Has become our yearly Staycation spot. The area is gorgeous and a few degrees cooler than the city. The pool is a definite yes! Salt water with seating ledge all around, allows ya to sit with ur beverage while soaking and sunning. ONLY bummer was we ordered the romance package and the bottle of ???? that arrived was $6 bottle of J. Roget...felt that not worthy of the package. I dont mind an inexpensive bottle of champagne, but that was a little low end feeling for the class of the resort in all honesty.

Very Disappointing. . We usually stay here for a vacation 3-4 times a years for a stay-cation and it has been great. We parked our truck 6/19 and there were vehicles next to it, when we went to our truck Sunday morning to leave there was a Black Charger parked right against the passengers side and I noticed a ding and a bad gouge in the paint. I knew that it was not there before and you could tell that it was fresh because the loose paint was still on it. I went to the front desk and let Amy know what happened and she said it was her car and you could tell by her response that she knew she did it. She called security to view the footage. During that time she told me wife that when she got there at 6 a.m. there was another car parked in that spot in which my wide said how were you able to park there and she said that she waited for it to move which does not make any sense because there is a lot of empty spots. Also Amy kept texting someone the whole time and took a photo of the damage, when my wife asked her why did she take a photo she denied and my wife asked who she was texting she said security because that is how they communicate. Once the security manager come out he right away said that there is no way it was one of their employees that did it and looked at her bumper which is about 2 feet high and the damage is about 4 feet. They never did review the camera footage like we asked or if they did they seen that Amy their employee did the damage. Congratulations for them for sticking up for each other but shame on this place for the way they handle things. If they handle something this small like this I feel sorry for someone involved in a serious situation on this establishment.

Hidden on Yavapai Tribe land, away from the city noise you can rest well. It takes days to discover and admire all of nature wanders. Location and facility are fantastic, however the staff is most attentive. Serafin, one of banquet staff managed some jalapeños to accompany the lunch served. Well done. Casino is for smokers, but plenty to do for everyone outside of that.

This is not a real resort, just a hotel with a swimming pool and bad restaurants. The staff needs better training on how to be efficient and go the extra mile for guests. On arrival we were given our room key but no information. We had to specifically ask everything - where is the restaurant? What are the pool bar hours? Is there somewhere for coffee? Etc etc. I found out on the last day there that there is a regular shuttle to Target, Fountain Hills and other places. Would have been good to know! The concierge is never there - I asked at the front desk and their only response was it would be best to book my own tours because the concierge seemed to be “avoiding work”. She thought that was funny, I didn’t. The food at the main restaurant is quite good but the service is terrible and extremely slow. They offer associated excursions like Segway tours and horseback rides but these are somewhat offsite and there is no shuttle. I asked at the front desk and they said “maybe” the shuttle could take me to the Fort McDowell adventures which was advertised all over the hotel but they never did call and I ended up taking Uber. When I arrived at my excursion the host warned me Uber would not come out there to pick me up, and that the hotel was supposed to take me! Luckily some other guests nicely drove me back to the hotel or I would have been stuck walking miles on the highway in the sun. They seem to only care about their golf guests and not others. The casino is smoky and sad, and the restaurants in there looked terrible but I couldn’t eat there due to the smoke. The location is remote which is not so much a plus because there is not much around there. I walked the on site trail but it’s in poor condition and not well marked. The pool is nice and the pool bar was the best part about this place. Would not return - many better actual resorts run more professionally in the region.

I have a lot to say, but the poop-stained sheets were the most memorable part. We booked the Romance Package through their web site. It stated that we would have a bottle of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries delivered to the room, complete with a mountain view. There was no such view, saran-wrapped berries that had been there for who knows how long, and an $8 bottle of cab instead of champagne. Before booking, I called to ask if there was still construction going on and whoever I spoke to (Veronica? Victoria?) said she didn’t think there was. There was. To get to the casino from the hotel we had to walk in the rain. We thought we’d use the $50 dining credit the site said we could use in any of the casino restaurants, like the web site stated we could, but the front desk woman would not let us. We were quoted a $154 rate on resort’s site but were told it would be about a hundred dollars more when we arrived. We also purchased a groupon for their Amethyst Spa, which stated 30% off hotel accommodations, but she refused that too. We were feeling frustrated but trying to remain optimistic—until we pulled our sheets back to find massive fecal stains from the last guest smeared all over. We had an appointment to visit the Amethyst Spa for a couples massage. They called ten minutes before the appointment to cancel.

After being accosted and creeped out by the interesting looking guests staying on the ground floor on the way in I was meet by a nice lobby for the "resort". That was the last nice thing about the place! Room was below average... Looked like a lightly spruced up motel 6 at best. The casino reminded me of the last resort casino from Vegas Vacation... Minus the humorous anecdotes. We ended up leaving within 1/2 an hour and weren't even remembered as having just checked in by the staff downstairs... When we explained what was happening we were meet with more obliviousness... No effort to rectify the situation whatsoever, just a generic "have a nice day". I would never visit this property again and will actively steer others away from eating the time and money on this awful place. Worst hotel experience I've ever had!

I was here for almost a week for a work trip. There is construction going on, but the staff was friendly and willing to help me take luggage to the main lobby via a golf cart. The pool area and fire pits were nice, although some residents were being loud outside late into the night (it didn’t bother me but it could have bothered some.) It was nice to only be a short drive from Fountain Hills. I think once the construction and new casino are done this place will be even better.

Got groupons for a spa day and just ended up getting a massage for 100 bucks....I assumed there would be more to the spa day than just a massage and nothing else. While the location is a bit in the outskirts, it is lovely. They are currently undergoing a major renovation/expansion, everything is SO CLEAN!!!!! Normally there would be construction dust and noise, but it has been fantastic here. The food at the hotel restaurant is great. The STAFF- OMG, it has been a long time since I've stayed somewhere where EVERYONE has been so friendly, customer oriented, helpful, mindful, professional, .... you get the picture. I am not a gambler and certainly can't handle the smoke in the Casino, so it made it impossible for me to eat at the other restaurants in the Casino. They say "non smoking section", but you have to still walk through the casino and there are no real barriers between the casino and restaurants. Therefor I smelled like an ashtray after just 5 minutes of walking through to check out the restaurants there; needless to say, I didn't go back to any of them. My room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. I had lovely views of the surrounding hills and mountains. I was attending a conference. The conference facility was very nice and I loved the access to the outdoor patio and the surrounding walking paths and landscaping. Everything is nicely decorated and designed to be modern, yet it blended nicely with the surrounding area, both inside the hotel and outside. They offer a shuttle to a local Target and Fountain Hills shopping/restaurant center. UBER was about $25 to get to Old Town Scottsdale. Supershuttle and UBER worked well for SKYHarbor Airport.

This is a very nice resort. The grounds are well maintained and beautiful and the views are amazing! The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. They offer many options such as a nice pool and hot tub for the family, massage and spa, and several different restaurant choices. They have plenty of entertainment including bands and dancing. The nearby Casino has many machines to choose from. The staff was friendly and did a great job organizing all the catering details for the conference. If you have the chance to visit it I highly recommend it.

For the adult entertainment on weekends they have bands come in with a dance plus the Casino that has plenty of machines to choose from. Awesome hotel and casino. Good selection of slots and dining venues. Hotel boasts 2 pools, hot tubs and a splash pad. They had Dive In movies for the kids Saturday and Sunday night and a DJ too. It's very busy but we're here for labor day weekend so that's to be expected. We've stayed here before and always have a great time.

Our stay started off great but they had construction that sounded like it was right above our room and it started at 7AM. When attached to a 24 hour casino, you'd think they would be a little more caring about not starting so early. We called the front desk to check if it was construction and before my fiance could even finish his sentence, the front desk said "It is." and hung up. How unprofessional and rude. Not even a sorry for the disturbance or courtesy to let him finish speaking. I understand they're under construction but starting before 8AM on a weekend and doing it above a room THEY put a guest in is awful.

We checked in and they gave my husband a $10 play voucher, he took it to the casino players club and they refused to honor it because he received the $49 deal for the hotel. Are you kidding me you're going to out of business for $10 whatever. We go up to our room for the night and the room is nice but OMFG the bed was like sleeping on a concrete block. Not Cool. We won't ever be staying here again.

I have always wanted to visit and stay at this resort, due to it being in our area and the rave reviews. We got married in May and thought this would be a great place to stay for the weekend before we left for our honeymoon. It was a terrible experience. So bad, in fact we left a day early. The staff, especially the front desk was rude. They were watching videos on the computer, and when asked if we could get help with luggage they said "no".

Hotel rooms are comfortable, quiet, with great blackout curtains for sleeping late. Nice chairs to sit and read a book. Food is really good, and the restaurants reasonably priced. Close enough to town to be convenient, far enough away to feel like you're really on vacation. Helpful, friendly staff. None of this, however, matches the fun and excitement of the best AZ casino I've visited! We WILL be back, and probably bring along a few friends.

Came here for a massage. Bought a Groupon for my parents and my self. You do need to pay gratitude, it’s about $16 a person. Definitely different then other hotels I went too. They don’t have a locker room or robe or slippers. So bring your one shoes for the pool. You carry your stuff to the pool & in the room where you get your massage. You change in the massage room. We were late but glad they fit us in their schedule cause we tried calling in before but no one answered. My massage was great. Definitely hit the points that needed it. My parents wanted harder pressure but didn’t receive it. I thought mine was hard pressure or maybe I’m just fragile. We got to go to the pool. The big pool with water running was so cold. There’s a smaller one that isn’t that cold. There’s 2 jacuzzis. There’s a bar outside. They gave us drink tickets and $5 off food or beverage from the bar.

Nice quieter resort. Pool wasnt crowded on a June weekend (temps were in the low 100s). Bell hop (or whatever they are called now) was super friendly, helpful, gave us some good places to eat. Beds were AWFUL. My back and neck are still hurting and that's not something I've had before. You can hear yourself clunk when you sit or lay down on the bed. It almost sounds like the mattress is sitting on a plywood box. That reason alone, we probably wont be going back. Food selections were really minimal and the wait staff at the restaurant was disinterested at best. We literally had to go find someone for the check and then again to get change. But the pool was lovely and the views of the desert were beautiful.

VFW Arizona convention was held there end of May to beginning of June. Due to construction they put on a whole team to help transport to and from the parking lot. They were very effective, friendly, and available to help. Good job! As to accommodations it was at or better than 2 years ago even with the construction. Several of us made use of takeout at the Casino notably the Silver Dollar for afternoon lunch which turned out very tasty and convenient. Conference rooms were setup well. Roughly about 1 hr 45 min drive from north Tucson using I-10, I-202, I-101, upper I-202 then Srt 87, Beeline, to Resort entrance after Shea Blvd, but before Ft McDowell Casino entrance. I hope we keep them in rotation. ????????????

This location was clearly under construction and did not have enough employees working on the most critical night... Saturday night. The prime rib offered as a special on Saturdays was huge and Hardy, although.... What they call a steak knife, we call a butter knife. All of us had trouble cutting our steak. We noted a employee periodically walk through the pool area doing checks but made no effort to tidy up chairs empty chairs and tables. For such a large pool area, we felt it needed more employee attention.

Construction is going at 2am, you cannot possibly sleep here the next two years when they are doing construction. It is reasonable to have earlier morning construction but it should not be allowed to have middle of the night loud construction. The worst customer service anywhere I booked a room through a Casino Host they told me the date was March 16th and 17th I called the hotel to confirm and they say no its next weekend. You call the hotel and it rings and rings and rings it says leave a message you leave a message they don't call you back. I think out of all the hotels in the Phoenix Scottsdale area I think this one is a pass. They totally left me hanging out to dry didn't even try to correct the problem.

The location was beautiful!we stayed for a wedding for 2 nights and the pool was fabulous!all the furniture was great and so was the room service and the robes that are hanging in the rooms for you to use.Sadly though they don't have washers and driers like most hotels so they inform you of a campsite near there with those amenities and they also over charged us for our stay and then reimbursed us a week later(really strange)All in all good times were had and we drove up to the land area around the resort and the have cows and horses just roaming around free,it was lovely to watch the animals and the sunset over the desert!

I love the location, close to nature drive to Tonto National Park and Saguaro Lake. On the next door Fort McDowell Casino, I saw a couple of winning machines. A place to try and bet, and don’t have a feeling they’re robbing you. Must learn how to control once you win.

However, I've always wanted to stay at the hotel but could never got to stay there. My hubby has business in central Phoenix, Tempe, Cave Creek, Scottsdale etc. So, the casino hotel was too far. We finally got to stay there 2 weeks ago and loved the rooms there, we had a perfect view of the construction sight and woke up Saturday morning at 7 am to them working, very noisy! If it wasn't for the young guys driving us to and from the hotel to the parking lot, our stay would have been a bummer. All in all, we loved it and will definitely stay again. No grandchildren next time lol. Thank you We-Ko-Pa resort.

Not here. 360 degrees of construction. Jacuzzi bubbles in one of the 2 places not working. Missing materials in the room required multiple requests. Key cards constantly stop working.. in 2 days I had to go to the front desk 4 times and there is always a wait. I spent over an hour dealing with this. I simply asked for an extra half an hour to check out and it took way more effort than necessary for that to be granted. I won't be taking it now and hopefully people read this instead. Find somewhere else more guest friendly that isnt currently under total construction. 2 stars is for Arizona specific, because the bar is set really low here in terms of quality. Easily a 1 star when compared to 4 star stays in other parts of the world. Construction is literally on top of the hotel (15 ft) on backside so keep in mind that half the guests will be facing a giant dirt mound, tractors, and construction fence during their stay. Cranes and other noises aplenty, even as I write this. They do give out ear plugs at the front desk as a nice gesture.

Gym was nice. It was clean. But the customer service was terrible! House keeping only came to the room once to make the beds. I had to ask for new towels almost daily. I called to ask for glasses and they gave me coffee mugs because they said they couldn’t find any lol. For the first time ever I drank wine in a coffee mug so I can check that off my bucket list.

This “resort” is in the perfect area! It would have even been better if it was sunny out to go to the pool. The pool is a 4. I gave it a three because I’m surprised it’s labeled as a “resort.” If it was labeled as a hotel, I would have given it a 4. The rooms are average to a room I would be at the Hilton or radiation blu. They have an attached casino if you are into that. The restaurant has really good tortilla soup. Overall, it’s not bad, it’s not great.

The resort was very well maintained. Rooms were nice and clean. Keurigs in the room were a nice touch for a morning cup of coffee. The view from my room was amazing, over the pool, watching the sunrise over the mountains. However, the other side faces the construction which is less than optimal. I was here for a work conference and not the golf or casino, but I heard fantastic things about the course from others that came in early and played, and many of my coworkers won money in the casino, so that’s a plus! From a convention perspective, they did a fantastic job taking care of our group of over 300. All the rooms were nice, chairs were comfortable. All food including breakfast, lunch, snacks, and a seated dinner was very good. I would definitely recommend this place for a convention.

This is a great resort for people who just want to just hang around the pool, play golf, or doing spa during the day, and then hit the casino at night. Basically, just relaxing at this resort 24/7. It's quite far from downtown Phoenix or Scottsdale. They do have shuttles to nearby Fountain hills area. Bed is comfy, all furnishings are good quality. Overall a good stay but you'll need a car if you want to venture out to the city and other metro areas.

We always have an excellent time at the We-Ko-Pa resort. They are currently building a new Casino, so there is some construction going on. Stayed 2 nights (Dec 26 & 27, 2018. On the first morning, they shut down the water & we couldn't use ALL bathrooms & shower in the room as well as other parts of the hotel. My wife & I had to leave the hotel & go out to public restrooms in another Hotel. On the 2nd night, the hotel had water going on & off through out the night (noise). Guests could not use toilets & showers in their own rooms. Upon checkout, they gave us $25 credit for the inconvenience. While the gesture was there, the amount was not correspondent to the major inconvenience caused.

Stayed here as a guest for one night. It was clean. The room was big. The casino was super smokey so if you're highly sensitive to smoke, don't go. We needed some room service and it took forever for us to get it. We had to call twice to see status of our request. That was a little annoying. I'd stay here again but it is out away from everything. It might be awhile until we would return.

I wouldn’t really consider this a resort. The staff was ok, nothing above and beyond from them. Our room was clean and the view is nice but there was construction going on, which can’t be helped but definitely took away from the atmosphere. We went for a Saturday. No room service. The pools and hot tubs were well kept and looked great, it was 72 degrees out and I don’t think the pools were heated to it was very cold. They have an open bar at the pool which is great and you can order food from there as well. The casino was pretty depressing. Filtering system needs some amping up. The drinks are in styrofoam cups and there are 90% Pennie slots and a couple table games robot run. The poker room was really unorganized and there were not a lot of people around. There is a sushi bar in the casino that has cameras set up so you can watch the sushi Chef’s prepare your rolls and the boards and areas being filmed were messy and dirty. There is another small restaurant in the casino that had a super plain menu and was completely empty. If you end up wanting to eat out in Scottsdale it is about 30-40 min drive to restaurants. All in all I think they need more direction. They are building a new casino and hopefully there will then be some entertainment and they will add some more amenities.

This has got to be the WORST hotel I have ever stayed at! As a traveler for work I have stayed in quite a few hotels. On our first night here I called to order room service the next morning since we were due to be downstairs for a dance competition at 6:55 AM and was told by the front desk staff that they weren’t offering this service on Saturday morning because their staff didn’t want to be overwhelmed. Not only that but the lady working at the front desk told me to just leave my 8 year old daughter in my room completely alone and go get food elsewhere! All of the restaurants in the casino we’re closed and multiple dancers went to class without eating breakfast. Upon check out I inquired at the front desk if we could have a late check out due to having so much luggage and dance costumes with us. I was again told that they were not offering this service today. I surprised my boyfriend on his birthday (10-03-18) and booked us a night to stay and a massage in their spa. The website didn't say they are under construction and all we could hear and see was construction everywhere. We we're hanging out by the pool with drinks and that's all we could hear and his massage was rather unpleasant. They took him to a hotel room and massage him there listening to a construction noise. He wasn't happy, I wasn't happy. This was an important occasion. I called the manager to discuss things, left a message and haven't recieved a return call. I should have chosen a different hotel. The fact that the website doesn't say they are under construction is false advertising. We came in there with great expectations. Our house could have been a better experience had we just stayed home. The Anhala restaurant was great with great staff. I thought of going to talking stick and I should have but I wanted somewhere where we can feel that we are out of the city. We should have stayed in Talking Stick instead. I bet we would have a better experience. My boyfriend and I went to a different massage parlor in town the next day for half the price and a better experience.

When we were in the conference room for the event, it was a small room. The room is expandable. It was crowded and with the amount of people in the room, it was getting hot. Fortunately doors were prop open and o hthink the ac was adjusted to blow colder air. The room itself was very nice and clean. The employees kept the place in good standing throughout the event by empting out the trash bins and keeping the water filled and cup stocked.

My husband and I went to the We-Ko-Pa resort for a stay-cation to celebrate our anniversary. It just far enough from the city feel to be an escape, and yet it was close enough to not lose a whole day in travel. The online service I'd booked through wound up being a little weird, so we really appreciated that the resort honored it. The staff were kind, friendly, and helpful. We were happy to discover that their pool was open until 11, unlike the 10 of many other hotels. We were even able to to still get dinner just before midnight at the sushi and noodle restaurant inside the casino. Their noodles were flavorful and well priced and we enjoyed the Las Vegas roll, salmon nigiri, and mixed tempura dish as well. The room had a really comfy bed and assortment of pillows. The robes provided were super nice and felt a bit like wrapping yourself in a down comforter. I only wish we'd gotten in earlier to enjoy the room more. We also discovered at like three in the morning that the jets in the tub didn't work. That was really disappointing, but we couldn't really complain at that point. We took full advantage of the lovely noon checkout time, and even enjoyed most of the next day there after stashing our luggage with the consierge so it didn't melt in our car. We had fun eating and drinking by the pool and swimming to beat the heat. If we'd gotten lucky in the casino, we would have loved to try the spa, but maybe next time! Overall, we'd certainly recommend the experience.

Very nice place to stay, and for conferences. The hotel room I stayed in was nice and clean with comfortable beds. The conference facilities were nice, however they keep the rooms quite chilly. I didn't use the pool or gamble. The only comment I have regarding the casino is that it's smokey. There is a restaurant that offers a buffet in the casino. The food wasn't bad, but not outstanding either. Servers were attentive and friendly. There is a restaurant outside of the casino but on premises that had good food. I had the berry salad. My companions had a hamburger with sweet potato fries and a steak sandwich with regular fries. Both enjoyed their meals. Staff were attentive and friendly as well. Prices were competitive.

My husband and I just got back home from this wonderful resort! We celebrated our anniversary there ! This was our first time staying here, and out of all the Vega's resorts we have been too! This by far has been the most stress-free, enjoying, friendly, fun, relaxing time we have had!, we took advantage of the summer 2 night deal! And I hope to be back in August before it ends!! We always enjoy our stay here! They think of every detail- great staff, great food in their restaurant and for room service. The rooms are always decorated well, the bathrooms are clean and the shower is perfect for a hot shower! We had the room with a patio this time, pool level, was a bit noisy due to the pool, but we weren't in the room until late anyway-- if you go to bed early- perhaps this room isn't for you! get a room on the other side of the hotel.

I don’t even know where to begin with this hotel. I booked my room on a 3rd party app, go to check in and they can’t find my reservation. She asks me to have a seat for 5 minutes while she finds it. 38 minutes letter she is ready for me, after helping everyone who lined up after me. So she’s checking me in, shocker, they have the wrong room assigned. At this point I’ve been trying to check in for an hour lol. Room gets fixed, then their key card machine breaks. Another 20 mins and I get a key. Room is decent but outdated I felt like it would redeem this place but no. Tub doesn’t drain, cable goes out, old appliances, I could honestly keep going. This was a suite. Oh and the WiFi has one bar the entire day/night. There was trash all over the floor I was on for the entire evening, was still sitting there in the morning. I was in room 339 6/5 to 6/6. Now about their “Starbucks”. It’s not one. There is no barista. A random employee will attempt to mix a coffee for you at the end of the bar in the restaurant. I ordered a white chocolate mocha and got a cup of iced coffee with milk in it. 25$ “resort fee” which you get absolutely nothing but bad WiFi for. 50$ deposit (still pending) In closing, this place was a complete and total let down. Zero apologies from staff. I noticed their fancy 4 diamond plaque and just laughed. I will never stay here again.

We had a kindergarten promotion party for my granddaughter here at We-Ko-Pa. We had an AMAZING time! Their staff was great accommodating everyone. And all of their events were super family friendly. No Breakfast, cant take your own alcohol to the swimming pool, the maintaince guy walking around the pool kept throwing away our waters and kept taking our beer bucket as if it was empty when it was clearly NOT. Great surprise luxury hotel in the far East Valley. Rooms were nice! Some of the softest pillows I've encountered. Super friendly staff who were more than accommodating. I was there for a work event and the conference rooms were fantastic and the food incredible. Fantastic conference center and hotel. When I initially checked into my room, I was given a room that had not been cleaned. When I called down to the front desk, they quickly appologized and changed the room despite them being incredibly busy. The problem was handled promptly and professionally. I also attended a conference here and was equally impressed. The food was amazing- both in taste and portions. The staff members were also very friendly and accommodating.

This place is the worst. Middle of no where out of the way from everything. Food is absolutely awful. Casino is a dump. Service is terrible considering I waited at there restraunt for 40+ minutes with only a drink. A friend of mine told me to come to this resort and all I can say is I will not be returning. Next time I'm in Pheonix I will be choosing a different resort which is very unfortunate becsuee I had high hopes for Wa-Ko-Pa. If you looking for a better hotel go to Talking Stick Resort instead.

The venue is much smaller than I anticipated but the convention staff does an outstanding job. Easily some of the best convention food I've ever had. (and I go to a lot of conventions.). My only real complaint is the isolation of the venue. It's fairly far from anything.

Phenomenal facility...great if you are looking to play 5 star golf, some blackjack and eat pretty good food w/o having to leave the resort. Casino is 200 yards from the front of the hotel. Scottsdale/Phoenix are within a half hour yet the resort is tucked away and secluded. Beautiful area, well run and clean rooms.

This review is for the spa and pool only. Their "Spa" is not really a spa. You check in within the gift shop. You have to request a robe if you would like to get comfortable before your massage. You wait in a sitting area directly across from their "Revenue Generation " office...so men in suits see you sitting in a bath robe. There are NO shower facilities unless you want to shower outside at the pool. Which leads me to the pool...the hot tub never got hot. If you want drinks or lunch you have to phone room service and they bring it out in to go boxes. There is a known bee issue. Dont expect to have cocktails or food without being swarmed by 10+ bees. I left feeling very underwhelmed!

Stayed here for 2 nights in a standard room with 2 queen beds and really enjoyed our stay. The room had all the amenities we could really need including a fridge and a nice TV. The room was very clean and well stocked with towels, washcloths, blankets, pillows, etc. Even with 3 people in the room we never ran out. The attached casino is perfectly nice and enjoyable. They have a good selection of slots and table games, as well as a very large bingo hall and a poker room that was running daily tournaments and cash games. Only issue for us was the fact that smoking was allowed in the casino so each night we left with our clothes smelling strongly of smoke, which wasn't ideal. We also had dinner at the Ahnala restaurant at the resort and were pleasantly surprised. The food was excellent and the menu seemed broad enough to cover just about any taste. All in all, We-Ko-Pa provided exactly what we needed for our short stay and I would definitely consider staying there again, especially if I were planning to play the attached golf course which looked very nice but just didn't fit into our schedule on this trip.

Great location with gorgeous vistas. So much space for everyone's preferences. Starting with the lobby and pool (right by it), lots of seating areas of all shapes (literally), for you to relax in your own way. The pool and jacuzzi welcome you, and at night you can seat by them by the fire to keep yourself warm (in winter time). The spa offers massages if that is your thing, and golfers and gamblers can get their holes and bets in too. I visited for a corporate meeting and was very impressed. Highly recommend it!

We had a great time! Rooms are spacious, clean and have many upgrades. Robe was in the closest with the safe, soaps etc were from Bath and Body and actually smelled good! Staff was very pleasant and helpful. The casino is a short walk away, less than a minute from hotel exit. Valet was included with the stay. Highly recommend this hotel, we enjoyed our stay cation!

As a native, it is often challenging to travel in this country without a dose of anti-Native racism popping up at front desks across the country. That is far from the case here with these Yavapai relatives and their establishment. We were there for a conference. I had been there once before when it was branded as a Radison hotel. The rooms were pretty nice and the bed was comfortable. The first night was great but when we woke up the next morning there was a note by the door asking everyone in the hotel to forgo there morning shower as there had been a water main break in the town next door. Other than that little annoyance, the hotel was fine. The food in the restaurant was really good although service was pretty slow during the conference. All of the employees were very nice. Would consider returning.

Great location to do nothing. Spent 4 days here lounging by the pool, hanging out in the conference centre, and eating a lot. Saw my first Roadrunner, wild horses, and a lot of lizards. Will definitely come back here again. The only downside is the Ahnala Restaurant. Literally the worst service I've ever had. The food was amazing, when I could order it but the even with an empty restaurant the service was so slow.

It's a fairly nice resort, we're here for the Mastermind to Millions conference. The rooms are luxurious and amazing. The conference center is top knotch too. They're not really prepared for our conference thought. With 100s of people trying to get food all at once, they messed up more than once. They also had a water line break, which wasn't their fault and did everything to accommodate. The staff are very nice and are doing what they can to make it a works class experience. overall a good experience.

My experience with the hotel was terrible. I must say that the rooms were wonderful and it's very peaceful. When I checked out I have a receipt showing the finally charges was a total of 208. When I checked my card it's was a extra charge of 200 dollars for damages. We took very care of that room. We didn't damage anything. I have called down there plenty of times and left multiple voicemails with the head of housekeeping Lucy and no one has reached out to me. Before we left to check out we took a photo to post on our Facebook. I have that photo available as proof as when I checked out there was no damages. All I am asking is for someone to take there time and show me the proof and of the damages. I will keep calling until this matter

This is a very clean and friendly place to be. The front desk manager, I believe her name is Brandy is very professional. The rooms are very clean and pretty spacious. That bathrooms are very clean. The pool is clean, the fitness center has a lot to offer and clean, and the grounds are well maintained. The Ahala restaurant has some great tasting food and the ambience is very relaxing. Noveta with her professional attitude, at the restaurant, made my meal even more enjoyable. This was my second time here and I would not hesitate to bring my family here for some quiet time because it is well isolated from city life.

1.0 star rating 7/11/2017 Sad, sad, sad....disappointed. We had reserved 4 rooms. Called on Thursday before check-in on Saturday, requesting the rooms to be together. Was told by a very friendly employee she reserved the rooms for us and they were all next to each other. Upon check-in at appx 10 mins before 4, 3 rooms were ready, but not the 4th room. And three rooms were together, but not the 4th room. The very friendly employee who I spoke with on the Thursday before was there and confirmed she spoke with me, however the employee that was checking us in, pretty much had an attitude of too bad, so sad, end of story. Not happy!!!! By the time he got done checking 3 of our party in, it was a little after 4 pm. So I asked why I couldn't check in and he stated the room wasn't ready. I asked about their check-in time at 4 pm policy and he said it meant that check in time begins at 4 pm. Really??? So does that mean check out time "begins" at noon? On the good side and why the 1 star is the pillows were great, rooms seem clean, love the make-up mirrors in the rooms, and the staff at the casino buffet was exceptional! However I don't recommend it, the prices were far too high for summer rates in Phoenix, the the front desk staff (meaning our first encounter face to face with employees) was far less than professional.

First time I had stayed as an overnight guest. I booked a king and the gave me a double queen - which I did not need and I had wanted the in room refrigerator that came with the king room. The room overlooked the pool. Unless you like loud music until 10pm, don't book a pool view room. No ice bucket. They had forgotten to put it in the room. The employees overall were nice and the service in the restaurant was good. The food was just okay. Not sure if I will stay there again.

My wife and I did a staycation at this "resort". During the summer if your wish is for an upgraded best western? and vacant spaces and half menus. Then this is your place. All the posted hours and services will very from day to day, if you were hopping for that sunset milkshakes at the golf club, don't count on it. As the restaurant closes early. The spa is, undrwellin with abrevated hours and no clear place to book. Nice setting, friendly staff grate views and a well kept pool. Just bring a book unless slots are your entertainment.

The employees were not helpful, or happy to do anything. At 4pm the hotel was not ready for check in and everyone had to wait for hours, which meant leaving our bags in the car or the front desk. DO NOT bring your purse backpack into the casino. One of our group was escorted out of the casino because her purse was a small backpack. At the 87 cafe we waited 30 minites to sit down and another 45 to order our breakfast, even though there was 6 tables with people and 9 empty ones. The bingo hall was full in the non smoking so we had to sit in the smoking section and everyone just blows their smoke in your face, they don't even try to aim away even though we asked. Was not impressed with any part of the stay, did not win anything and rude staff. ?

We stayed for 2 nights just before the July 4th holiday weekend. Everyone was very friendly and said hello as we walked around. We needed 2 connecting rooms but they said there were none available. Then we find out there are hardly any guests checked in so it was surprising that we couldn't get connecting rooms but it was ok. There were lots of dining options so we didn't have to leave the resort. The buffet in the casino was way overpriced for the few choices they had. We spent one of the days just hanging at the pool. Overall it was a fun stay.

The location and the hotel were great. The room was very comfortable and clean. The restaurants food was delicious but both restaurants visited lacked highly in their service time. For dinner we waited over 20 minutes after being seated to even get water and watched 4 other servers walk by. At breakfast it was the same thing to even get acknowledged or to be seated at a half empty restaurant. Once we did get our service the food was delicious. Visited for a Spa Day. They do not have a spa per say. No changing areas/lockers or anything remotely SPA. Just some massage rooms and the typical hotel gym/pool with no towels at 11am, playing hip hop and dotted with smokers. Massage was amature. Not worth the money.

The customer service was subpar. Our rooms weren't ready when we arrived. Also, upon turning down the bed, we noticed it was wet. I asked for the bed to be remade. They just dropped off the sheets. This was at 12:30 am. The sheets they dropped off were also wet. I fixed the problem because they seemed to be struggling to do so. When I asked to be comped the night, "they hadn't decided how they were going to handle it yet." Terrible customer service. I won't be returning.

Beautiful resort, but they need to work on their customer service. We had prepaid for a 3 night stay here. After a late flight, we arrived at 4am to check in to find out that they hadn't reserved a room for us (even though it was already paid for!) and that we'd have to stay at the Comfort Inn down the road. The front desk person was not very apologetic and basically said he couldn't do anything to help us till the manager arrived in the morning. After a few hours of sleeping at the lumpy 2 star bed at Comfort Inn, we spoke to the manager who eventually comped our entire stay and offered brunch at the resort restaurant for free, which was very kind. Still had several problems after that though. My sister requested a foam pillow three separate times on our way out and never received one. The cleaning could have been better (didn't replace our mugs and glasses, obvious dust on bedside table, lamp, phone, clock, etc). And the kicker was that when we were checking out, they tried to charge us for the brunch they had offered since they had biffed our reservation. Beautiful area with lots of scenery around. If I come back to the area, I won't choose Wekopa.

Not impressed! Just checked out and wasn't even asked "how was your stay?" The one and only thing said at check out was, "what room?" NO HOT WATER! Hot showers are practical expectations when paying over $200 a night, especially when being nonsmokers in a smoking casino. Can't even tell you how much of an irritating night sleep we got and to top it off why in the world do grounds crews use a ridiculously loud leaf blowers at 6AM under guest rooms. I would call this a "decent" hotel. My husband and I stayed here for two nights over the 4th of July weekend (for our anniversary). The room was fine, but nothing fantastic, I thought it was clean, and staff extremely friendly. Our stay would have been better if the hotel hadn't checked in a family shortly before 1am with several children in a room that was adjoining to ours by a closed door. We were kept up for hours by yelling and had to ask to be moved the next day. I don't know why they wouldn't have tried to put that family, checking in late, late at night, in a room at the end or something, it seemed lacking in hospitality logic. You can literally hear everything in the next room through those doors, so that's something to be aware of. If you're a couple wanting a quiet weekend, I would strongly suggest asking for a room that does not adjoin with another by a door. Anhala was lovely, we had a really nice time there. The waitress was attentive and the drink I ordered was fabulous. The casino next door is also good. Decent pool, though insanely crowded that weekend. My favorite part of the hotel was the wandering cows and horses in the parking lot, a delightfully weird perk of staying there.

Not enough staff to handle a full load/ conference. Very unprofessional! Turned me away from ordering take out at restaurant saying too busy when it was 1/4 full at 8pm. Ordered room service between 7:30-8 and stated if arrives after 8:15 that it would be too late. Cancelled at 8:20 and it showed up at 8:30? Stated too busy. They Need to hire more staff on such busy sold out weekends, but have been coming here for years on busy weekends as there is no choice and it's always the same. They would make so much more money if they had more staff. Check in was awful as I was put in a dirty room with unmade beds and towels on floor, had to switch rooms and they gave me the keys to another unmade room, but my luggage was in a different room. This was all at 10pm with 2 kids in tow. Very disappointed!! One star is for the beautiful grounds. Even the maid service took too long so I had to just turn in towels and take new ones, and empty my own trash. So much for trying to somewhat be on vacation although at a conference. ????

There was a sink hole which left the Hotel with no water, but they stepped up to make sure all the guests had water to drink, soda, donuts, and Fruit, and brought in facilities to use as the bathrooms were out of order. They also had tankers of water brought in for A/C!!! Great Group.. The Lines were fixed in less than 24 hours and all was back on track. The food was OUT STANDING!!! Hiking Trails great!! I will stay here again!! You should too!!!

Be careful booking at this hotel. We booked our room through Southwest Airlines and were not told that a sneaky $20.00 per day "resort fee" would be added to our bill as we checked out. The lady at the front desk acknowledged that all our fees had been paid and that we did not owe anything else. Then a month later after the original charge had cleared, we get hit with a $60.00 fee on our credit card. Seems to be a rather shady operation to me. I would NEVER stay at this hotel again. The scenery is beautiful, but it is too far out and the rooms and facilities were moderate at best.

Stayed here to celebrate our 4 year anniversary and it was great! The staff are super friendly, rooms beautiful & clean, and the property itself is just simply peaceful. It was a nice staycation. Room service gratuity is a tad high for my taste but was prompt & yummy! Casino kind of sucks but we aren't big on gambling so that's okay haha. Can't wait to stay again! We found this resort from pictures online and decided we would try it. It was worth the 14 hour drive from where we live to get to the resort and we had a wonderful time. The pool is busy on the weekend but the weekday's were not as busy and we could just enjoy our time with the kids. I must say the staff was top notch. Everyone was so helpful and pleasant and just made you feel at home. If you are looking for a nice relaxing experience with very clean rooms (and I am very picky), great views, and great staff then this is a great place to go. Had fun music and a movie at the pool on Saturday night. The pool was busy that day but it did not ruin our fun. Thumbs up for keeping up your property!

I am an avid swimmer and look to do early morning laps in the pool. During my stay there, unfortunately, the peace and quiet of the desert morning was much disturbed by loud music. Other hotels normally start their music at 10 a.m. and the music is low key nondisturbing music. The later in the day music is unwelcome. If hotel guests want pop rock and alternative music, let them bring their iPods. There is no reason to inflict the music on all of us. Thankfully I pack ear plugs with my swim gear.

My family and I travel here quite a bit. A few times a month. It is so relaxing and a perfect place to just get away from it all. The views here are absolutely breath taking! The resort is beautiful and the room are spacious. We have stayed in both king room and a double queen room. There is always more than enough room for my son to play. They are also extremely clean and smell fresh. The pool are is huge and really fun and relaxing. They have a really nice putting area, fire pit and even a spray fountain for the kids to run around in. The staff are amazing! They always go out of their way to make your stay wonderful and genuinely seem to care. You get a great sense of respect, which is rare these days. They actual hotel restaurant is fantastic. A bit slow at times but the food is super good and the price is and average of $15. They even have a 99 cent kids menu! The golf course is in excellent condition year round. It is our number two course in the state and we are avid players. Honestly there is really nothing to complain about. We love coming here! Its almost like a second home!

This was the absolute worst hotel that I have stayed at. My wife and I decided to have a quiet 2-night weekend alone over Valentine's Day; our kids were being watched by others so we could enjoy ourselves. We booked our reservation on the HotelTonight app and was promised sparkling wine and chocolate covered strawberries. We also noted a request for a king bed, not 2 queen beds. None of this materialized. That was not the end of our negative experience: 1. When we arrived at the restaurant, we were turned away because we didn't have reservations for Valentine's Day despite the fact that we were hotel guests. To sour that note even further, other guests who had arrived ONE HOUR LATER THAN THEIR ORIGINAL RESERVATION were "squeezed in." These guests WERE NOT STAYING AT THE HOTEL. We certainly were not made to feel like we were welcome guests to say the least. 2. One of the 2 hot tubs was non-functional. A maintenance guy did some troubleshooting for 10 minutes then threw his hands up in the air and simply said, "I will have to look at it later tonight." The other one was already fully occupied during the day and we were denied yet another use of the facility. 3. The beds were in poor shape and squeaked very loudly over the slightest movement. We did not sleep well as a result. When we brought this to the attention of the day clerk during checkout, she shortly replied that it was not the hotel's fault and blamed the application despite our evidence to the contrary. Rather than any attempt at restitution or apology, she immediately asked if we wanted to charge our card for the remaining expenses. Clearly, we were treated more like "cash cows" than respected guests and paying customers. It's very sad to say this, but I have had more enjoyable times at a Motel 6 for 1/4th the price than I did here. I wish that I could get my money back, but I doubt that this is going to happen given our non-apologetic treatment during our stay there. Suffice it to say, however, that I will not be recommending this establishment to anyone.

Unfortunately had a corporate meeting here. So the venue was nice. The food lines could've been setup better for so many people. I didn't end up eating until 20+ mins in after lines sorta died down. Next they didn't turn the air conditioning on... Several hundred people and no air conditioning! It got hot, frustrating. If it was possible to leave I would have. What's annoying is twice Radisson people came in and messed with thermostats and didn't change anything. Finally after 2.5 hrs someone finally started opening doors to allow air flow. Next year I will push to avoid going.

I have never come across such poor customer service before. Never prepay for a room at this hotel, as they took our money and left us out in the cold.

stayed here somewhere between 5 and 10 times. the last three times when we checked in they have told us there were no king beds available. hard to believe that at 3-4pm in the afternoon they have no bed requests available. walking down the hall to our room we saw mulitple rooms being cleaned that had no occupants and had king beds. the staff looks at you with a blank look on their faces when you ask them questions. this hotel is on the reservation but come on hire some people that have a bit of personality and can get things done. i for one will NOT be back. go to talking stick. the rates are similar in most cases and you will not have a roblem like this.

We checked in at the beginning of memorial day weekend for only 1 night using a Living Social Deal. We had problems with the coupon code and a manager came right up and took care of getting us all settled into our room. She graciously upgraded our room and gave us some free play for the casino for our wait, at her insistence not ours. We had a King room facing the pool. The rooms are adequately sized, the bathrooms lacking although. They are just the basic shower/tub combo from traditional hotel fashion. (the Talking Stick rooms can not be beat) The Bed slept amazing. The pool was great, hours being 7 am-11pm (we stayed at Wild Horse the night prior and they were 9-9). The pool had one larger section and a smaller one; with spas on either ends. I would like to see they designate the larger one for families and the smaller one for adults only. We were there for our 15 year anniversary and a little more peace and quite would have been desirable. The staff was instant on the no outside food/beverage policy which I don't care for. We had a few maintenance issues needing to be addressed once we settled in; the mini fridge (which Wild Horse doesn't have) would not turn on and the light over the shower burnt out before we left. They handled our needs with speed and follow through with phone calls. Very Very Good Customer Service

I haven't stayed there yet but I am a little hesitant. I just called to make a reservation and the two people I spoke with were both very rude. Not even one please or thankyou from either of them, wow! Can't wait to arrive there and see what I'm in for.

Stayed there over Christmas and could not have been more impressed with the rooms, service and just beauty of the grounds. The restaurant was excellent and the service from the restaurant to the front desk was top notch. For the price of the rooms, you really can't beat it. The pool area is amazing and the kids had a blast. We were there visiting relatives, but would go back to the hotel just to vacation. Room tip: Get a room facing the pool, mountain views are great. Finally, the casino is sort of depressing, old and outdated. They told us when we were there they have plans to build a brand new casino on the property.

Comfortable rooms and amazing pool. You have to check out Furious George cover band at the casino. The crowd watching on the dance floor is worth travelling from states away.
