Amazing place to relax and soak, all the cabins have different interior, some with tub, shower and bed only some with sauna as well.
I did the March monthly special. Overall the experience was good but not great. I feel like it was rushed. I didn't really get to enjoy my tubs or my massage it was too short. If I go back it would be massage only.

Absolutely love this place. I always recommend to my friends. Love how calm and relaxing the atmosphere is even before you get to your room. Love how you can manipulate lighting and music in the bath/sauna room. Super relaxing and private
Best couple massages and relaxing tubs! Show your body some love and you won't be disappointed. Thanks Noah and Sarah for great comfortable service.
This place is INCREDIBLE , book it right now. I haven't felt this relaxed in so long. The parking is "eh" so get there early to find a spot or book an evening. Hot tub, individual cold pool and steam room really hit the spot
I love all of the hot tub theme rooms that they have here. Booking is super easy, especially if you're just looking for a regular tub room. So far I've been in the Eight Stars, Three Medallions, and Six Dragonflies room, and they all have different charm. My favorite so far is the Six Dragonflies for how natural and bright it looks. The esthetician that did my facial was also very knowledgeable and gave me great advice on how to keep my skin looking glowing. I always leave the spa feeling super zen!
It’s always to peaceful, clean, and quiet. Staff is always friendly. This is the perfect place to unwind with the hot tub rooms massages, and so much more.
Agnes is the best for deep tissue. Highly recommend
This is where I go to relax. Such a clean and relaxing place.
Super clean loved it cant wait to come back
Love love love this place. The hot tub rooms are beautifully decorated, the ambiance is serene, everything is clean. Great spa.
Lovely spa nightmare parking situation....it took me 30 mins to get my car out of thier tiny parking lot even with help from front desk person My whole spa experience vwas ruined because of that stress.
It doesn't get better than this. Watercourse Way is a serene, luxurious "daycation" spot in Palo Alto, perfect for escaping the Silicon Valley stress. You and anyone you bring will enjoy a private soak room that boasts unique tilework and art. Relax in the hot baths, take a refreshing plunge in the ice pools, and sweat it out in the sauna. Then it's time for a massage! I've only ever had Swedish massages here, and they're the best I've found anywhere.
This is a hidden gem in Palo Alto. The rooms are relaxing, beautiful and clean. The staff is wonderful and have such a high standard both to details and to service.
Love it! Check out my review on Instagram! Follow me on IG: mscynthiaromo
The spa rooms are quiet and cozy. The service was excellent, my boyfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed our time here and have planned to return soon and also try the couples massage package they offer. ?
They don’t understand english.
I absolutley love this place. They offer all the spa services as well as beautifully themed hot tub rooms. Private and clean. I've been going here for over 18 years and they never disappoint.
Absolutley love thos place. Have took my man now husband twice. The last time we had massages with the hot tub. Worth every penny.
Fantastic every time I go. Queer and trans* friendly. Staff is always kind and welcoming. Rooms 1, 8, and, 9 are my favs! Here's room 1!
Very relaxing way to end the work week. Hot tub, sauna and cold plunge. Pleasant, helpful staff. Small shop where you can purchase candles, bath products, jewelry and books. Small parking lot, but went late in the evening so ample street parking.
Book an hour and enjoy your time in a private room. A great place to relax and enjoy your day.
The place was clean, well matained and pleasant to be at. The staff was pleasant. There seemed to be ample parking We enjoyed a hot tub for an hour. The room was nice and the tub temp was perfect. We will return and try the other spa services they offer.
Clean, serene and feels like a high end hotel spa, but without someone pushing products on you. Employees are respectful and kind. 10 minutes before time is up is a polite knock. Prices are comparable to the next closest hot tub place(the other place is seedy, and not even close to the same quality.) Honestly, I had heard it called “Intercourse Way” and expected something seedy, like the other place I have been to, but sometimes I NEED to be in hot water to stretch my back muscles properly. I had not expected such a serene and emotionally nourishing environment. Best hot tub place I have been to in my life.
Love this place! #treatyoself and go check out this spa you’ll feel brand new
I love everything about this place. The calm, the quiet, the water. The entire experience is amazing. I wish they had more locations.
Typically very clean with friendly staff.

Wonderful massage options. Very relaxing and rejuvenating
Mustafa Said M.
Very clean, rooms are private and each is unique and beautiful. Staff is some are friendly, some rude. But the place is fantastic for private hot tub / sauna experience.
It's such a beautiful and relaxing space. The tub rooms are lovely and clean, and the massage rooms are very calming.
What a great experience so cool inside had a great time with the bamboo scrub, facial, body wrap, dry steam room, cold dunk and the ambience,
Great Place to go after a long week at work.
5 star all the way
My wife & I had a wonderful time last night. We spent 50 minutes in the hot tub room before our couples massage that we upgraded to add CBD. We felt totally relaxed with our massage therapists Noah & Nancy. We will definitely return!
I have made this place a birthday tradition now. The service is always wonderful, the space is so beautiful and tranquil. I always feel refreshed and rejuvenated.
The Best Massage in Palo Alto for sure...all the therapist are outstanding. The only issue is that it is hard to get appointments, especially more than 60 mins.
Ssshhhh. This place is awesome, keep it a secret. Great hot tub room, massage, very peaceful , centering.
My first time here and it was very beautiful. I was impressed with how clean it was. The customer service was awesome and very welcoming. I am Traveling from Richmond, Ca. and it was worth the drive. I came to Heal myself, and that is exactly what i fulfilled. I will be back soon. Highly recommended.
Lovely hot tub experience! Very kind staff and comfortable private rooms to relax in. I'm already looking forward to going back.
really cool and neat and tidy private spa rooms for 2 ????????
Exactly what you want in a private spa
Great service!!! Very good treatment with Lilly and nice place
Wow. What an incredible place. The staff were friendly and accommodating, the interior entrance was stylish and welcoming but the rooms are unlike anything I've ever experienced. We experienced a room with a sauna/shower, a jakuzi and a cold plunge. It was high end, rustic yet modern perfection with tubs constructed from brick and wood, almost all controls customizable from the lights dimming to the pressure of the jets to the water temp. I cannot wait to go back!
Really enjoyed the hot tub and cold plunge private room. Very comfortable and great atmosphere. Will be back.
This is one of the places my gf's and I go when we need some Mommy time. Very nice for couples as well. Take advantage of their discounted monthly specials! My fave is the Sugar Plum Cranberry. Plan ahead & make early reservations.
So relaxing and staff is friendly
It had been a while since I'd been here, and my wife and I came for our anniversary. We didn't leave ourselves enough time before our reservation to really browse the shop, but it certainly something I want to remember to come early for next time. We were in one of the larger spa rooms with a hot tub, cold plunge, and dry sauna. Having the three allows for a nice rotation, and the skylight over the tub provides wonderful natural light. Afterwards we both had lovely massages that left us both nicely relaxed.
So much yes!
Try to go for the early bird special if you can. Complimentary sauna room for 30 minutes before you start your massage. For deep tissue, I recommend Agnes or Eve. Enjoy!
A divine experience provided by Emanuela. My daughter took me here for a special evening and I just fell in love with this place. Best products used, great attention to details and a super clean place. Will be back again
It was awesome. The place was nice and homey. The service is A+. It was on the expensive side but it was worth it. Very highly recommended!
Love coming here! Consistently great massage practitioners in this beautiful spa. Hot tub rooms are comfortable and always clean. Serene atmosphere and dedicated staff.
Good way to recover after a long week.
I loved playing here with my Mountains and Marathons Team. We ran the San Francisco Marathon and the next day we were treated to a spa experience that was amazing. The cold plunge for our sore legs was amazing as well as the hot tub, sauna, steam room and 1 hour swedish massage. I totally recommend this spot for a group to get away and relax.
This place is beautiful. However, I arrived on time for my appointment but my hot tub room wasn't ready until 10 minutes after. I reserved room for 1 hour and I didn't get my full hour. No explanation or sorry, definitely didn't offer a refund. Not happy with the customer service this time. Also, the bathroom wait was ridiculous.
Invest in yourself and get a massage!
I went to Watercourse way for a 90 min massage(with aromatherapy oils). Great service! Returned home feeling relaxed and refreshed! :) Jeannine has magical hands!
I made a reservation which I had to cancel and they charged me a deposit fee of $25 (for 1st timers), which I cannot get credited back to my card but instead I have a credit on my file. What if I never go what happens to my money? Why should I have to pay for a service I haven't received or may never receive? Not Happy about this at all.
So beautiful and relaxing
Awesome place for their massages. Definitely worth the price.
Beautiful space, clean, classy, great service. Excellent spa, exited feeling like a million bucks!
This is a great place to relax, the hot tubes and the staff are great.
Best deep tissue massage I have ever had.
Amazingly relaxing and great experience. The place is very well maintained and clean. I would love to come back here again.
They are not flexible
I usually love this place. Today it was horrible.
Love the place. Its the best in town some say the massage girls are so nice its the happy customers who cum again and again thats just what make the place number 1.
we go often because it is clean, quiet, and inexpensive
Clean spa experience. The massages are great
Christy St. A.
Really nice!! Loved this place!! And it's one of the only places in the area with a hot & cold plunge! I would definitely recommend!!
Best place to get your head in order :) my wife and I go here as often as we can. It is very soothing and relaxing to have a private room with a pool and sauna. Make sure to get the cold plunge as well. It is fantastic
A magical place for rejuvenation. Love it!
The best massages anywhere. I have frequented Watercourse Way since they opened in the 70s and although I have had massages literally all over the world, none have been so consistently stellar as WW.
Good massages, if a bit pricey. The atmosphere is very calm and relaxing, and the staff very professional.
Where to go to get away from it all. Beautiful, clean rooms.
Watercourse Way is an easy five stars for me. It’s very relaxing and I always feel so good afterwards. The variety of the tub rooms means there is something different to look forward to each time you visit. Can’t wait to go back!
I got a facial. It was awful. One of the worst facials I've ever had. The technician was really rude and super desperate that I didn't complain about her. This place is great for hot tubs and massages. I should've thought more carefully about trying a facial there.
It was awesome
Wow what an incredible experience. I've been to a handful of private tubs and this is byfar the nicest and best feeling I've been to. The architecture of each room is so carefully thought out. It's truly a work of art. I love the cold plunge as well.
This spa is so gorgeous. Truly an oasis in busy Silicon Valley. They have monthly specials and packages for couples. The spa is spotless and I have had amazing massages here. Treat yourself today!
The perfect place to relax and unwind
Love this place. Soooo relaxing. There are multiple hot tub rooms, each with different amenities. While they all have a hot tub, shower and bed, some rooms include a cold plunge, steam sauna or a dry sauna. The hot tubs are clean, and a good temp. They also provide shampoo, conditioner and body wash in all of the showers, each with a different scent, but they are all amazing and refreshing. Each room has its own theme, and all are very cute and romantic. This is a great place to take a date. While I have not had the pleasure of getting a spa treatment while there, i have gotten a massage. The masseuses are very talented and professional. My one tip is to make sure you call about a week in advance the get the room and time you want as the rooms book up fairly quickly and i wouldn't trust being able to get a walk in appointment.
Calming, tranquil and beautiful place--like stepping into another world.
Great spa place
There is no waiting room
They made a mistake with scheduling and really made up for it well. Great customer service!

Very clean and relaxing
Amazing bathhouse. No online reservations and reservations are needed (usually we can get a tub room with a day notice, massage with maybe two day notice and then for their monthly specials I would recommend calling in a few weeks before). Friendly service, super clean facility and just overall one of my favorite places to go.
Today was my first visit and it was wonderful. Liz gave me a terrific massage and the tub and steam before we're lovely. Will definitely be going back.
I have been bringing my mom and mother in law for about 3 years now and they love it every time. They are only Spanish speaking and have always been accommodated and received friendly service. I also did a prenatal massage when I was pregnant and it was the best!
Very peaceful and relaxing
Experienced massage therapist s, relaxing environment. Always enjoy the experience despite its high price.
One hour hot tub and steam room which is private, prior to the one hour massage. Also has a cold plunge pool, we were in room #6. If you want a sauna instead of steam room you can opt for that too. My massage therapist was great. Really enjoyed the experience. Check their website for specials.
Wonderful place for a couple's date. An escape from Parenthood and a good daycation.
If you are looking to relax, go straight to Watercourse Way. You can first relax in one of the jacuzzi/cold plunge/steam rooms. I suggest 9 Bats. Then it is time for your massage. Generally, they do swedish or deep tissue massage. I have been going to watercourse way for years and have never had a bad massage. Enjoy. Relax.
Customer service needs a lot of improvement. Staff don’t know the inventory very well and most of the staff just stand around congregating in the back. I went to the counter to purchase a few things and there were 7 staff standing there. They looked at me and just stood there until I asked if I could make a purchase. I went back a few days later and the same thing happened. I don’t think anyone would notice if you walked out without paying.
Amazing quality and ambiance. Massage therapists are pretty good too!
Excellent place to go for an hour or two to unwind and enjoy beautifully-tiled, private hot tub rooms. The rooms are all different so you'll need to look online up the amenities of each (steam, dry sauna, cold dunking tub, etc).
OMG - THE BEST!!!
Loved them for over 20 years. Great place to go warm up with my sweetie, soak away the bruises I racked up...all of it.
Very relaxing. Doing 1hr bath followed by 1hr massage, you are sure to feel rejuvenated.
Second time coming here (this time I brought my gal pals for spa night)!! Love this place but the bath had too much chlorine in the 9 bats room this time. Our eyes were burning.

Does this place ever get anything less then 5 stars? Its great!! And the decor is really nice too. I loved it! Nothing negative to say.
Nice, clean and quiet place!!!Seth is a great masseur.
My grand daughter brought me here a few weeks ago and let me tell you they made me feel young again in my old age. Will be back coming back again
Great place. Nice and quiet
This spa is a favorite for my wife and I. We love the private rooms, each with their own hot tub, cold plunge, shower and steam sauna (only in some rooms). It's very clean, relaxing, enjoyable, and a nice treat. I often get so relaxed I have to lie down on the little bed in the rooms to take a quick nap after doing hot-cold alternating plunges. It's amazing. Each room is unique and gorgeous. I highly recommend Watercourse Way.
First time I went there, very clean and nice decoration, stuff was friendly and they offer herbal teas before check in,recommended to everyone
Amazing atmosphere and staff. Beautiful and private steam and hot tub rooms. Uniquely crafted massage rooms. Each one themed differently. Great experience and I will be going back
This was my first time, beautiful place And excellent costumer service Love it!!
Favorite place to unwinding for an hour.
Wonderful experience. Attentive staff. Highly recommend.
Great place! See for yourself
Very nice and everyone is helpful . Just ask they try to make you comfortable , you aren’t required to take everything off . It is a bit pricey but worth it and if your handicapped they are pretty accessible.
Love this place i try to go a few tines a month if I can.....
A phenomenal experience
Great Service and amazing place to go for relaxation. I came here for the first time on my birthday 9/16 as a surprise from my girlfriend. The amenities blew me away and I can't wait to come back.
Such an amazing place!
Worth every penny.
This place is fantastic. The people who work there are very nice and accommodating. I try to go once a week, either after a workout or to de-stress, or bring my partner when she’s in town. I always have an amazing experience either way and as long as I live in this part of California I will be faithfully booking a hot tub/sauna. I mean it’s gorgeous in there, let alone relaxing.
Great private jacuzzi & spa rooms, it makes me feel like a hippie!
This place was absolutely beautiful and a wonderful experience
Very relaxing quiet atmosphere, an interesting decor as well as well trained staff. The hot tub rooms are great way to relax before or after massage.
Fantastic place, I've been coming here for decades.
My wife and I enjoyed ourself a lot. It was very refreshing
Heaven on earth. I cant believe more people dont know about this gem.
Bonnie Kate W.
Really lovely time in the hot tub, sauna, and at my massage.
Had a deep tissue massage with Eve, and that tiny woman squeezed the sin out from where there was none. She was so sweet and the place is just beautiful. Front desk staff are busy but friendly. Very very calming ambience.
Classy place love it
Best rates for a hot tube!
Excellent bath house with expert massage therapists. Definitely my go to
Love the serenty and trust the cleanliness of this space.
Lovely tub rooms and massages...our favorite room is: Six Dragonflies. with a glass-fronted steam room with shower; jacuzzi, and a traditional wooden tub under a domed skylight with resting area. Will repeat for sure.
John . L.
A really nice upscale bath house. Massage services are available and the place is very clean.
Love this place and will definitely be back.
Omgoodness beautiful spa. The staff is great and service was amazing. In definitely going back. I came out glowing from head to toe
Mike is amazing!!!
There is nothing else like it Private rooms beautifully decorated with hot tubs, saunas and steam rooms. Each room is unique. Massages are great.
Clean, friendly, fair price
Stacy was fabulous. I feel so soft and relaxed.
Above my expectations 100%
The massages and masseuses are great. This low rating is for the front desk staff, I have been to this place a few times and have noticed that I do not receive the same customer service as other people who are also checking-in for their service.
Best massage ever
The hot tub room was Exquisite and my massage with Peter was fantastic.
Very wonderful and relaxing experience thanks to my husband
Excellent massage in a very nice environment, but at relatively high prices.
Watercourseway is a beautiful, nicely decorated, clean, quiet place for blissful relation. Massages and Hot Tubs are wonderful. I recommend Rooms 5&8. Diane
Haven’t been there in a decade And had an appointment for a massage today. The staff and service is still great!! Ambiance is awesome very tranquil and relaxing. The masseuse was amazing and I’m so glad I came back. I live across the bay and it is so worth the drive for me and I feel like the prices are reasonable for the service you get
Visited today with my boyfriend. We enjoyed a soak in the hot tub, cold plunge and steam shower in nine bats. The staff is very friendly and professional. The room was clean and comfortable. We left feeling super mellow.
I watched all the reviews but how much is the price
Suzi just gave me the best massage I've ever had. She will make you feel amazing. My wife was quite happy with Francis as well, but I can only vouch for Suzi and five starts aren't enough. The soaking rooms are incredible, although not all of them have a cold plunge. So if you like the cold plunge as much as I do, then inquire ahead of time. This place definitely spares no expense on fine detail. I'm so glad that it is here. If you need to treat yourself or give a gift, you won't be disappointed.
We spent an hour in "Eight Stars" which had a hot pool, cold pool and steam sauna. Everything was very clean. The design and music was very relaxing. Highly recommended.
Great massage and jacuzzi experience. Just a pricing error from the host over the phone that I had to pay at the check in (in front of my guest :-()
10/10 would go again. Had a wonderful time with my boyfriend. The hot tub was amazing???????? It is hard to find a spa that allows couples and privacy but this one does and at an affordable price. It was very clean and I was able to just relax. Also, their complimentary tea was delicious. I chose chamomile.????
My sister came down from out of town and I wanted to treat her to a nice spa day. Called in on a Sunday and tried to book a facial and massages but they didn't offer same day facial appts. I opted for the two 1 hour massages. Upon arriving, first impressions was how nice the interior is. They have the whole waterfall zen theme going on throughout. Staff were all professional and was greeted right on time for our appointments. Onto the massages, it was the best I have ever had. It was a mix between Swedish and deep tissue and my masseuse definitely knew where I was tight and used the right pressure. She seemed very skilled. This is definately a spot if you are looking to take a loved one to get pampered. Next will be my mom when she's in town. Prices are slightly higher than other places but worth it considering the quality you are getting. Two 1 hour massage was around $220 + tip.
Love this place. I don't have the space for a private hot tub but live to relax in warm jetted water. This place is perfect for a soak and a massage. The setting is beautiful and the staff are warm and friendly. This is my favorite place for rest and relaxation.
Nice private rooms but not all the lights worked.
The champagne chocolate monthly special was amazing! It exceeded my expectations and Stacey was awesome!
First time at a spa. It was AMAZING. Super relaxing, hot towels, some hot rocks on back shoulder area. It was really great.
All the goodies in a fancy setting.
There are day spas and then there are day Spas, this one has a capital *** S ***. For me, the Jacuzzis at Watercourse Way Day Spa is a sublime experience. You will like it...
Always serene and great smelling upon entry. The little gift shop out front has jewelry and smellies with the hot tubs on first floor and massage on second. My husband and I go ONLY to Watercourse for the hot tubs. The rooms are pretty, super clean, and it's all yours. You can soak and take a shower in your own room. The rooms vary. Several are the same size but the most beautiful has a large jetted hot tub with a sauna and a cold dipping tank. I didn't use the sauna or tank but the design of the room was Moorish and unbelievably beautiful. I love this place and will not go anywhere else.
I really enjoyed my time at Watercourse Way. From booking my time to the end of my session in Six Dragonflies, I felt well taken care of and was impressed by both the staff and facilities. Super relaxing and a perfect way to melt some of that work stress away!
My girlfriend and I decided to forgo the Christmas presents this year and treat each other to the 90 minute couples massage package. I highly recommend booking in advance as this place fills up quickly. We had a morning massage which is a great way to start your day because you can stretch and move throughout the day and ensure that you get all those toxins out of your system. We were in room 1 prior to our massages which featured a Sauna, Jacuzzi, cold plunge, and shower. I always enjoyed being able to get in a Jacuzzi and warm up my muscles before the massage. Each massage is different and can be the luck of the draw, but I had Betty for a deep tissue massage and she did a great job and would recommend asking for her. Additionally, we did the hot stone massage vs the exfoliating dry rub because the 90 minutes is then a full massage as opposed to losing massage time for this treatment. After the massage, you are led to a bathroom to shower/rinse from the oils. My only thought about the place is that you will be moving from your private room to your massage room at the same time as everyone else. This can take away from the relaxation, but you quickly are right back to relaxing once in your massage
This spa is more than I expected. Beautiful lobby with nice products. The staff was friendly. The room we had was so clean and lovely. I would recommend everyone go to experience this place.
I don't usually write reviews of any kind (good or not so good experiences), I try to practice acceptance and leave the rest to karma. But this experience was so unfortunately bad and unnecessary that I have to say something. I have been visiting Watercourse way throughout the years for a while, it's been my occasional local spa day spot. I've loved it and have always had a wonderful experience until today, New Years Day 2018. Today, I was assigned to Lily. She walked me into a room that she hadn't quite prepared for my arrival, which she apologized for and I didn't have a problem with overlooking that. After some minor confusion around whether or not she had given me indication to start the next part of the session (I was there for the salt glow), she became very frustrated and started almost like yelling at me. She was rude, condescending and arrogant in her tone. She said alot, but I won't put it all here. After generously speaking her mind, she abruptly left the room. I called the front desk from the room, using my mobile. A very nice lady showed up, she was kind, apologetic, offered hugs (much needed) and sat with me for few minutes. I'm a pretty tough girl, most things don't bother me much, but this did and it took me a few minutes to gather myself before leaving. Lily's attitude was so bad, so unexpected, so negative and so counterintuitive to what the spa experience is intended to be. I had been looking forward to this spa day as an awesome way to kick-off the new year (which BTW, will still be an awesome year :-)!! We all have bad days, I've had my share too... but unfortunately, there's no way that I could ever return to Watercourse Way, after that experience. Thank you for the full refund, I appreciate it.
Luxury, pure luxury.
Could have been better with the service from support staff
We liked this place and visited it many times. But when we visited it last time (Dec 1), there was a lot of chlorine or some other chemistry in water. Not only it smelled bad, but also we got skin itching after that visit which lasted for long.
It's a beautiful place to get a massage, have a steam or dry sauna but a little over price. And sometimes it's hard to find a place to park
The nine baths room before a massage is a must! My favorite room by far!
Such a beautiful space and unique experience.
most amazing sauna & couples massage combo
I was never a hot tub/sauna kind of person but boy does this place get you relaxed! Definitely not those creepy hot tub places, Watercourse has lovely decor and the themes for the hot tub rooms are pretty neat! Easily make your appointments over the phone!
Lovely way to relax. Eight Stars is the best room!
Oh my gosh! Zen! Relaxation! I will be back for more!
Always a delight.
Lovely place for date night :)
Best massage of all time! Mars was a master.
Great place for deep tissue massage. Relaxing and very clean! Rita B highly recommended!
Best place ever. I wish there were more of these throughout the Bay Area. I've only used the bath suites but holy cow are they incredible. Each room is super private and includes a hot tub, shower and a small bed to rest. But what you really want is one of the ones with the cold plunge and either the sauna or steam room. They are divine! I love the themes in each room as well. Being a lover of saunas, my favorite rooms are 1 Pine and 8 Stars. I go for 90 minutes if I can. And I come out a new person! So relaxed and wonderful. Its also a great place to have deep conversations with your loved one. Love this place!!!
Wonderul Place! We where just there on a very busy Saturday. My husband had reserved a tub, for our 6th anniversary, 10 days in advance. But when we were there and inquired about how to best ensure getting a 2 hour reservation, (our roundtrip drive there took longer than the actual soak :/) the guy said, "Book it at least a week in advance. "HUH!?" He HAD!!!
Jo Ann C.
Wonderful place with a friendly staff. The tubs and massages are fantastic.
I just went here for the first time last week and I loved it! I had room four for an hour then a massage with Carla. One of the best massages I've had! Definitely want to come back again to try out the other rooms :)
Highest standards! LOVE and miss this place!
This is a gem. The experience from beginning to end was First Class. Each room has a different theme as well as options. (Steam, sauna, cold plunge) This is a magical getaway. Sue - Our second visit last night 9/30/17 was a disappoint compared to our first visit here IWe looked forward to "Watercourse Way" becoming our regular date night destination. ( we had previously used the local spa within walking distance for their hot tubs ) After the impecable service and wonderful facilities we experienced our first visit I was excited that we were able to get a reservation for an hour huttub Friday night at 10. We arrived at 9:58pm, it was nearly 10:15 before we were taken to our room . We received a knock on our door alerting us if "10 minute warning" . I commented to my husband that it didnt seem nearly an hour. We quickly dried off and dressed. When we got to our vehicle and opened the door I asked my husband to see what time it was. It was exactly 11pm. Meaning we paid for an hour and enjoyed about 40 mins. Being in the business of serving the public all our lives we both felt this was less then acceptible. If one is paying for an hour then one should receive an hour. Hope that it was just an off day with things and our next visit will be like our first. I still feel they deserve 5 stars as this is an exceptional place to esxape and the employees are so friendly and professional.
Nice private soak followed up with a massage. Very relaxing!
Just went alone after work didnt lnow what to expect,????I will return...
Great staff, beautiful facility, one of the best massages I have ever had.
A peaceful place to get away, even in the middle of SV.
Was so awesome an relaxing..would go again an cute things for sale
Great place to relax after a stressful week at work!
Relaxing atmosphere. Nice personal.
Spendy but wonderful

Watercourse Way is more than an hour's Drive from where I live. The environment there is very healing and relaxing, and that is one of the reasons it's worth the trip, but only one. The most important reason for me, and for my family as well, is a massage therapist there named Charlene. I've heard many standard definitions from them for her style of Massage, but none of them really fit. She's a Healer who's spent her life learning the human body and the human internal reality. When I, or someone close to me, needs rebalancing, we go see Charlene. If you sometimes feel like you could use a rest and a reset, you might enjoy meeting her.
This was a place everyone should visit If you love steam saunas and hot tubs this is it Great variety of rooms with different tubs sauna and steam rooms, Unreal massage As well The whole place makes you feel like you are there to relax The front desk area was a little cluttered with stuff Trinkets that are all over the counter for you to try and purchase Which seemed a little much Thete was plenty of things around the front area for sale that putting it on the counter was going to far Love it and will be back
Beautiful elegant ambience
An extremely relaxing spa with a very friendly staff. The massages are always wonderful and the hot tubs, clean and warm.
Beautiful, modern, well-equipped facility. Nice and polite staff. Service (I got hot stone massage and facial) was just ok. Eye treatment was a joke: like kids pretending to play with material around the eyes! Price was high.
Relaxing, but the wait area gets zero stars. For the price you pay, they could do better to create a more inviting space. Kudos for allowing kids in the tub rooms for people without childcare.
Very nice spa, super friendly staff
Watercourse way is an amazing retreat. Just walking to the door you are greeted by calming waterfalls. Inside the atomsphere is quiet and relaxed, with low lights, aromatherapy and soft music. The tub rooms have all the necessary amenities: towels, hot tea, ice water, shower, light controls, music controls, jet controls. We love the rooms that have a cold plunge and a dry sauna, but every room we've tried has been excellent. We've never had trouble making a reservation and parking is available on site. This place is great for taking a quick break from daily life to relax your body and mind.
Their bath tubs, rooms are very clean!
This was my first time going and omg it was amazing! The greeters/cashiers were so nice. The atmosphere was lovely. Such a relaxing day
Great customer service throughout my whole time their. I would go again and again. Loved my room.. what a nice place..
Beautiful! Will return
Love this place!
Expensive but lovely
Best jacuzzi place ever. So cozy
Very relaxing and romantic place for our anniversary.
Very nice relaxing place. Clean and well kept. The staff was professional and curtious.
Very nice, super clean, staff is friendly
Need reservations for sure
Super relaxing and powerful jets!
I enjoy coming here it's clean and prices are good
A relaxing place to let go. The staff are incredibly attentive and courteous and the decor is gorgeous. Will definitely go again.
This place is always packed and lined. I took hotspa and it was relieving to get warm bath. Just super relaxing to swim in hot water spa. Private bath are availble here.
I love the wonderful relaxation music the beefy towels the cold plunge all of it is so wonderful
Nice private rooms
Best place in the world!!! Take a date.
Fteaking clean and marble everywhere
Amazing!! Just Amazing. Relax, spiritually and mentally.
Great place for massages but 4 stars not 5 because more often than not, I am on hold 5 to 10 minutes just to try to schedule an appointment. Half the time, i hang up before taken off hold
Very Beautiful atmosphere! The hot tubs are amazing!!
I have been going here for over 10 years and they give consistant excellent service
One word, amazing
I've been a few times for treatments massages or just to chill in the tubs or steam room.

Calming. Great employee/ customer relations. always a great visit
This place is my weekly getaway. The tub rooms are individually decorated and they are all beautiful. I've had treatments with several of the therapists and each experience has been spot on. The therapy rooms are comfy and cozy. All of the front desk staff are so professional and really have my best interests in mind. The therapists are very well qualified and know different modalities so they can conform to the guest's preferences. I have been to many spas and I still go to different ones here and there but Watercourse Way will always be my #1 go to.
Love this place. Very relaxing and private. The water was soothing
Fantastic place. Take your time trying different rooms. Each had its own theme.
Absolute fab hot tubbing and massage place. Truly a gem to have in the bay area
Well maintained tubs and great massages.
So nice and relaxing highly recommended.
I prefer the rooms that have a dipping pool. 90 minutes is the perfect amount of time. 15 minutes in the tub, 5 minutes in the dipping pool, 15 in the sauna, 5 in the dipping pool and back to the tub. Just keep cycling through with the dipping pool between sauna and tub. Getting into the dipping pool is challenging due to its frigid temperature but well worth it.
Wonderfully relaxing. I love to come here when I'm in town.

Great place bit pricey. But then again this is in Palo Alto. Just wished they had a communal section where you can stay longer and enjoy an outdoor garden. There are cheaper Korean bath houses but this one is upscale.
Very clean hot tub place.
The closest thing to a Japanese-style onsen that I've found in California. It's a lovely, romantic spot - and the perfect third date (if you really like someone and they're not too squeamish about being naked). Go for a room with a hot tub, sauna and cold plunge - it's invigorating and offers a nice change between temperatures. Also, if you can, get a massage - it's a nice relaxing experience after your already relaxing experience.
Perfect place to show her a romantic & relaxing time
Eight Stars is the best room
very good service and friendly staff expensive though
Have been here for a couple of times. Always had a great experience. Very friendly staff. The rooms are kept very clean.
Been coming to this place when it looked more like an old cottage house. Nice to see their service is still top notch. Though I do have to save I wish they would relay massage add ons to their massage staff better. I ordered a deep tissue aromatherapy massage and did not get any aromatherapy. at least the massage was the best one I have had in a long time. NOTE: Cash tip only but my friend was able to get cash out from a debit/credit card when she paid for her treatment.
Beautiful spa, so relaxing and rejuvenating
Private spas, with sauna, hot tub, cold plunge, shower, and beds.
Love this place for a nice hottub and massage... definitely recommend adding a hottub to your massage
Beautiful rooms, very therapeutic and relaxing.
Very nice place and each private tub room is unique and special. My favorite is "eight stars". It reminds me of Myst if you're old enough to have played that game.
Overall a pleasant experience. Not easy to find a sauna/cold plunge experience in this area. Service was good, and the building is pretty. My wife and so used room #8 for an hour (hot tub, sauna and cold plunge). Several details that could be remedied with some additional attention paid. The waste basket in our room looked like it had been dumped, but had several items stuck to the bottom that took away from my experience: used bandaid, what looked like a wart pad etc. Of course it was in the trash and so it wasn't unsanitary, it just took away from the clean, fresh feeling of the room. It sounded like there was some construction going on (wood sawing?) adjacent to our room through the duration of the experience. Dramatically took away from the relaxation. Given the purpose of the rooms, it would be great if that kind of thing could be done when customers aren't in. Similarly with the hot tub - the chlorination was heavy enough that when you turned the jets on the smell was overwhelming. Again, not such an egregious error but that the purpose is to relax. All that said, I do feel good, the prices are reasonable, and I may very well be back

This place was incredible! We got the Turkish styled room, with the hot tub, cold plunge, sauna and shower and it was so relaxing. Past the main doors it's very quiet and almost maze like, so even though there were other rooms off the hallways, it felt very private.
Expensive but beautiful and luxury experience
Tranquil, elegant rooms
The online booking didn't work for me. I called in and ask the lady on the phone to tell me how about the spa and how the booking worked because I had never been to Watercourse before. She told me about the massages and bathhouse. I booked a couples deep tissue massage. Upon our arrival our booking was for a couple therapy massage (not deep tissue) and they didnt have any deep tissue massage therapist available. We waited in the waiting room and were escorted to our couples massage room. I asked if we could do the baths first and I was told we could not since we did not book an appointment for the baths. I was a bit confused because when I called I asked how this worked and what I needed to book. I was never told I needed to book the baths and massages separately. When I talked to the front desk about the confusion they told me they are not trained to tell customers how to book their appointments or make recommendations. The front staff and manager believe it is the customers responsibility to research how and what they would like to book. Our massages were great and we were provided robes after the massage and escorted to the showers. I was expecting a locker room and spa amenities but there was none. I would recommend this place if you just wanted to do the baths or just wanted a massage and you are not looking for the full spa experience. Make sure you book both if you want to do both.

One of my favorite places to relax. Beautiful, serene environment.
Came here for a nice relaxing time after a long week and I was blown away. Alyson did such an amazing job and literally took away all the stress built up from a long week at work. Thank you so much and I would definitely recommend her and this place to my friends and family.
Love the India-themed 8-stars room. Very relaxing and quiet escape from the crazy tempo of silicon valley.
5 stars for the ceiling rain showers alone. I also love the hot stones at the end of the Swedish massage
Very nice atmosphere, helpful staff! Make sure you book way in advance though - if you're doing anything more than a hot tub it can be hard to get last minute appointments.
Tip: Watercourse Way offers private soaking tubs and showers as well as private massage rooms. Whatever your preference is, Watercourse Way is the epitome of zen and a relaxed atmosphere.
Overpriced but the hot tub rooms are nice
I\'ve been here many times and keep coming back for one simple reason. I feel so relaxed when I leave this urban paradise! If you only go to soak in one of the fabulous hot tubs, it\'ll be the best hour of the week. If you decide to book a service, even better! Can\'t recommend this place enough. Go find your slice of heaven!
It was such a perfect experience! Came here with my hubby and got the couple's massage with steam and dry brushing... Ahhhh First of all this place is top notch! super clean and very peaceful. Everyone here is professional, friendly, and trying their best to make your experience as perfect as possible. Melody & Charlene were really amazing. They were very attentive to our needs and very friendly! They worked magic on us! We left the place feeling extremely relaxed and happy! We will definitely be coming here again.
I usually refrain from writing negative reviews, but I feel obligated to warn you that Watercourse Way has terrible customer service. I would highly recommend against coming here--especially to purchase a gift card. I tried to use a gift card, and they claimed that the gift card was "canceled" and that someone reported it lost or stolen. I inquired further and unfortunately their archaic system had no documentation of who called in or if the gift card was even replaced. My thoughtful friend, who purchased the gift card, finally got a hold of the manager who then claimed they had a history of giving a refund--the refund information was from a different credit card transaction and the date did not match. My friend provided evidence that her credit card was charged, and reiterated that the date did not match. Watercourse Way refused to acknowledge their mistake and would neither refund nor honor the gift card. We will be following up with the credit company, since this appears to be a blatant legal violation. Needless to say, Burke Williams is a much better option--any spa is better than Watercourse Way. Also, be warned that if you go to Watercourse Way, is highly likely that if you encounter a problem, the manager will most likely be unavailable. Next, the receptionist will apologize superfluously and promise that the manager will call you the next day, and you will not receive a call.
Unique experience in the south bay
love coming here for their deep tissue and hot stone massages, but they are a bit overpriced. one thing that i don't like here is their ghetto massage rooms in the outdoor area. they aren't exactly relaxing.
I was here once, in the mid 1980's. I used the tub room to relax in for an hour. I thought I would be back for a massage, but have not made a visit back. And its 30 years later!!! I will come back this year I hope.
There is no better place in the bay area
Great customer service. Tub rooms are clean and beautiful. Very relaxing.
It was such a fabulous experience. I wasn't sure what to expect for a bath house, but it was very calm, peaceful, and most importantly clean! I highly recommend coming here. Check out the rooms online to see what you are looking for as far a spa choices. They have massages, too!
Going to Watercourse Way is a special treat for me (us really, me and the hubs). A once or twice a year special occasion. We get a tub room, and then separate massages afterwards. Afterwards we usually try to grab dinner at Evvia, which makes for a pretty amazing day. In the past we've done an hour tub, followed by hour long massages. The most recent visit we did an hour tub and hour and a half massages. AMAZEBALLS. My hubs has Swedish massage, I get deep tissue. Every massage therapist has been really good for each of us (we've been several times), no one stands out above the rest. Although, Francisco was my deep tissue massage therapist this last time, and he did a wonderful job (I would highly recommend him). Tub rooms THREE TRILLIUM: tub, shower, and resting area with skylight (my least favorite of the three rooms we've been in, which is not to say that it isn't awesome, the other two are just more awesome) EIGHT STARS: Moroccan vibe, spa, sauna, cold plunge, shower, skylight, resting area. MY FAVORITE ROOM. NINE BATS: Spa, steam, cold plunge, glass mural, shower, resting area. This is a really beautiful room with no natural light. If you are going out to dinner afterwards, they have hair dryers in the bathroom. So no need to lug yours with you. Want a discount? Pickup Spa Finder or Spa Wish gift cards at Costco. They are currently $79.99 for (2) $50 gift cards. That's a 20% discount!!!! Of course, always call prior to purchasing the GCs to make sure that Watercourse Way accepts the GCs still.
I've used their deep-tissue massage, with a few different therapists, and I was impressed with their skill. Highly recommended.
Upscale hot tub bath house. Private rooms. Amazing!
Expensive, but I've really enjoyed the baths here. As close as you can get in Palo Alto to something like Baden Baden (although Watercourse Way is a private experience).
very relaxing place and friendly people
The best spa experience I've ever had. The soaking tub was amazing, the cold plunge was rejuvenating. The massage put me into complete relaxation. It was worth every dollar.
Private tub room with steam room is an awesome way to relax and catch up with friends. The massage is OK, but after trying both, we're sticking to the tub rooms.
Watercourse Way gets high marks for date night. The environment is restful and zenlike - without being too frou-frou. My husband and I have been here a number of times, and we always go with the couples massage. It's a wonderfully-appointed room with a double steam shower (so much steam that you almost cannot see one another), two massage tables, relaxing music, and an overall wonderful experience for us. My husband normally falls asleep during the massage, which means he is in heaven. I usually go with the deep tissue (so sleeping is not the result), and I have never been disappointed. We will continue to go back to Watercourse Way!
Nine bats is our favorite room.
Sensual, relaxing private hot tub rooms. Each room is unique.
Very cool ambiance.
