I bought a Groupon to this place just wanting a massage. I confirmed my appointment the day before and got reminder texts. Just to confirm I tried reaching out to the massage therapist 2 hours prior to my appointment and again when I left my house that was 40 minutes away. Got no response. I arrived and no one was in the building. I called multiple times and waited 15 minutes before deciding to leave. I had been stood up. I've never had to deal with such unprofessionalism. At least answer your business phone or email saying you are closed. First time and it will never happen again.
I actually dealt with Chase when she was DBA Chance of Haze back in November 2019. She has changed her business name when selling on Groupon twice. First A Chance of Haze, then Chase Quinn Massage and is now doing business as Chase's Place. I purchased a massage on Groupon. I scheduled online. I had forgotten when, so I called the number on the website. The voicemail said the best way to reach was through text. So, I texted asking if she could confirm when my appointment was. Shortly after that I got a confirmation email saying that my massage had been canceled. I forwarded that to her via text asking why my massage was canceled. When she responded all she said was "I don't know". She gave me a link and said to reschedule. I had paid an additional $10 to upgrade my Groupon to a deep tissue massage when I initially scheduled. I explained this to Chase. I asked what she suggested I do when rescheduling. Her response was "umm...". I've been working customer service for 20 years and the short responses were irritating. I asked once again what to do about the upgrade I already paid for. She told me to reschedule online and once again gave me the link. She said "It's easier". At this point I was no longer interested in her services. She hadn't acknowledged my question. About 10 days had gone by. I asked her if she would please refund me my $10 because I was no longer comfortable with her massaging me. She didn't even reply or refund me so I had to dispute the charge with my bank. I ended up contacting Groupon and exchanging the voucher. I've read the other reviews on Yelp and I'm not at all surprised that she is no longer operating under the name Chance of Haze. The reviews are bad so she's trying to rebrand and start over. There's no option to review Chase's Place on Yelp. I haven't dealt with Chase since the name change but I've researched and it's the same person. I'm hoping I'll prevent someone else from a bad experience.
