Founded in 2009. That's the Rub Massage Therapy Center & Body Boutique is Bloomington, Indiana's destination for Results Oriented Massage Therapy (tm), fitness & stretching, and skincare & waxing. Whether you need medical or therapeutic massage, deep tissue massage, sports massage, or just to relax and unwind with our spectacular spa treatments, That's the Rub has the right massage for you. In September 2014, That's the Rub expanded once again (our 4th time in 4.5 years!) opened The Body Boutique, a specialty store attached the The Massage Center featuring body care, skincare, local art, and quite a bit of whimsy! The Body Boutique not only offers the very best in body care and gifts, it also gives us street viability for the first time, and allowed us to open our sixth treatment room (an extra-large room perfect for couples massage). In 2020 That's the Rub built a full-service training gym and added our seventh treatment room to better serve our fitness-minded (or wanting-to-be-fitness-minded) clientele and staffed it with dual certified massage therapists and personal trainers and corrective exercise specialists. In May, 2021 the facility was expanded another 2000 feet in order to open the Keplinger Institute of Massage & Wellness which will be offering community classes, professional continuing education (CEUs), and professional massage therapist training for licensure. Located downtown on "The Square" in Bloomington's historic Graham Plaza in the heart of the Bloomington Entertainment and Arts District (BEAD), That's the Rub features seven large treatment rooms, 10 outstanding massage therapists, one excellent esthetician, a tranquil relaxation lounge, and original art by local artists adorning every wall (most of which is for sale).
